she did just tweet, teasing the "big project sure to please" so I don't think it's some big prank for people on these message boards... from a pure business standpoint, if she's using twitter to promote herself, her scenes, etc. whether she is currently retired, soon-to-be retired or whatever... it wouldn't be too smart to say something like that and tease it only to say "haha, I fooled you all, there's nothing coming" as that would anger a large chunk of her fan base... if it were only here she was talking about it, less of a concern than promotion over social media
^Like I said in a previous post, I bet it is a Jules Jordan Video showcase similar to one done with Aubrey Star (Ultimate Fuck Toy Aubrey Star). It will be entitled "Ultimate Fuck Toy Lana Rhoades." She will probably then decide with whom she wants to do this last project! There are only a handful of companies worthy of such projects: Jules Jordan Greg Lansky Evil Angel Mason In my opinion it is either going to be Lansky or Jules Jordan. I hope it to be Jules Jordan.
^ JJ already replied a few months ago that he's no longer in the "First" race anymore. I think that kinda rule him out. My bet is a showcase for Lansky, similar to what he did for Riley Reid's first anal. That will be really exciting!

I mean she had already said her good byes and pretty much most of the people had accepted that she was retiring, do not think she would have come back and faced the backlash of retiring all over again specially if she didn't have that big last project and a good offer in hand. Some people still dont know she's retired. I've honestly never seen one of your scenes because I largely live in the past at this point, so take this as somewhat objective... You definitely need to (and should) do what's best for you... BUT your current standing does put you in a unique position to capitalize on your fame and make a fortune. It should be clear that you can write your own ticket, at this point, and that some of the things that you noted as reasons for leaving the industry could readily be nixed simply by a change of business model and/or by taking full control of your own destiny. There's no doubt that you're in the driver's seat on this one. If there's long-term "damage" from a career in porn, it's already done... 4 months vs. 4 years isn't going to meaningfully change any external perceptions or repercussions... might as well have the money to go along with it, as well. (Again... just my take on things... I obviously wouldn't want you to do anything that isn't good for yourself, either...) (...and sorry if this comes off as preachy, know-it-allish, etc. ... I'm sure that you've already thought of all of this, so no offense is intended in that regard, either...)

That maybe true in a general sense but a sure thing is a sure thing. JJ isn't stupid. He has been making money in this business for some time. A Lana showcase even at twice the going rate would still make a few house payments for him.

^I don't believe it's a joke, as you said it's grown to big in the meantime. Of course Lana uses the situation to mess around with her fans. The best explanation would be, that she signed a contract to do an anal scene or a showcase with anal, and her contract partner insists on fulfillment, otherwise it would be very expensive. Not more and not less. She lets the door open for her comeback, but nobody knows, maybe Lana herself don't.

She doesn't owe you or anyone else in here an explanation on what she is doing, when she is doing it or why she is doing it. If you don't like it, and would like to move on with your life, feel free to do so. Stopping in here once a day to see what's going on takes anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes depending on how much you want to read or respond to things. If you don't have that much time to spare of your precious time, that's pretty brutal. As for your questions, just my stab at them: 1) She has said in here and other platforms that she is taking a break and leaving. Unlike the business world or pro sports world or other walks of life, there is no contract to break or other legalities to deal with. If she feels like walking away one week and 2 months later decides to return, that's her decision. Nothing is set in stone in this industry. Women come and go whenever they want. 2) Why come back for one last project? Probably because it's going to pay really well and she'll be doing things she's never done and she wants to do it. Maybe even to give her fans some things they have said they want. Seems pretty understandable. 3) Why tweet porn related stuff? I've said this before and others have agreed. In any walk of life, though you may close a door, you never want to lock it. If she completely ignored the porn world, it might upset people she still knows and is friendly with, thus hindering her in any future return. Just because she might not want to have sex on camera with different guys as often as she was, and wants to walk away doesn't mean she has to stop tweeting about it. in addition, she has scenes that are just released or still to be released that I am sure the companies and producers would like her to do promotion for. That's simple to grasp, really. 4) What is the big secret project? If she told us that, it wouldn't be a "big secret" anymore now would it? There are obviously a variety of reasons she hasn't given more information. Maybe the exact details aren't known yet, maybe the people she'll be working with have asked her not to. Respect her decision and be patient and more details will emerge over time until the project is released. Take what we know about her career so far and what she has said and start connecting some dots. It's something better or bigger than g/g. It's "a lot of things" she's never done. What hasn't she done? Anal, DP, gangbang, bukkake, etc. So I am guessing all things are on the table. Bottom line here is that none of us are owed anything by Lana or any other woman in any walk of life. Those are good questions you raise, but don't expect any answers and if you can't deal with how she interacts on here maybe don't come in here anymore. Its all a matter of perspective. There was some guy on here a few years ago touting his wife/GF's latest scene as "the nastiest thing she's ever done." The chick was one of the so-called "It" girls in porn, but in reality she was an average performer at best. They were self producing/directing the release. Turns out the scene was a mediocre girl on girl but with high gloss stylish production values. A few months later they were back, once again pushing the new "so nasty your eyes are going to melt" scene. I called him on it and told him he was full of shit by asking what made this scene so much "nastier" than the last one. The guy hasn't been on here since. As far as Lana's big project is concerned, she could read the classifieds in a burlap sack and some of the guys here will be comparing the performance to Olivier or Brando. As long as people believe the hype it doesn't matter the outcome, the puppy dogs will keep coming back for more.

I find this thread and some of the characters very mockable on so many levels; but I had several discussions with the admins and made promises not to mock. I pop in every few days to entertain myself when I have a little down time. That being said, I have a few observations: 1: How does something more than a G/G and something she's never done immediately translate to DP's,DV, DAP, Blow Bangs, and Gangbangs. It could be just a G/G/G or a G/G with one of the girls being black. 2: If a company were to commit to doing a showcase with Lana or any other performer, they usually hype it themselves through their P/R rep. 3: Speigler is the gold standard when it comes to reps and he picks and chooses his talent, not the other way around. Why would someone looking to maintain a career in porn leave that gig for greener pastures? Talent leaving his group usually leave porn shortly thereafter. Granted, there might be the rare exception, but visibility is clearly reduced after the departure. 4: It was mentioned the JJV was a smart guy and not into "firsts". If that's true and he hasn't jumped into the pool, what does that say overall. 5: I'm sure producers of content talk with one another over time, so if someone doesn't hire someone or does fire someone, other people take note and decide whether its worth the hassle.
Here is some info. Although some question I can not answer at this time. As soon as me and my agent broke up I received lots of offers for shoots from really big company's some in wich I have never shot for before. I have also received contract star offers and multiple anal showcase offers. I accepted one! Boom! And I'm currently working on/planning the biggest movie of my career and possibly the next biggest movie in porn. I am entering a more exclusive part of my career were I can choose who I want to shoot for and what kind of shoots I want to do. At this time I beleive shooting less and putting all my effort into this mega project is best for my career, because I have already shot so much content. I also have a blog, and multiple main stream photoshoots lined up! 2017 is going to be a great year. Also me and Jules are friends and I have talked to him multiple times since leaving LA.

After reading Lana's explanation I'd have to conclude that her first agent did not do right by her. Seems clear now that all Lana wants is to have a well strategized career plan that will not only make her money but keep her healthy and happy. That should've been the obvious game plan from the start. Even if hypothetically she originally came to him and asked him to get her as much work and as much money as fast as he possibly could, even then he should have known as a professional so much so fast was not a good idea. Little I know about the business I do know that the more content is out there the less new content is gonna be worth. Flooding the market with like 30 scenes in 3 months or whatever it was cannot be good business. For me when a new scene comes out now if it doesn't rate as one of the best I just move on to the next one. I can remember the days when any b/g scene that Sunny Leone put out was like a national holiday for me because her scenes were so infrequent. Lana deserves to be treated like the Beatles of porn. Let's hope that's how she is handled from here on out...
