Well, now that I've also seen it I have to say that I can't say if I like it or not. It's a nice movie but to be honest: If I want to see storyline and stuff like that I usually don't watch porn movies. Indeed, Monique's scenes are great but as a matter of fact they are too short and I really don't like them interrupted. However... But there's still the same old question preying on my mind: What's next?
To speak to your "What's Next" question, you can be sure that Vivid has some unreleased scenes of Monique. As mentioned on other threads, Vivid's practice is to get lots of footage of girls--some of it just put in their vaults. They may cut-and-paste these scenes together at a later date, creating a new video with performers that never were told they'd appear in the same production. Or Vivid may just release the scenes as part of compilations. Example: Lexie Marie & Tawny Roberts, who have been retired for two years, appear in the soon-to-be-released, "Where The Boys Aren't #19." As to your comments about "Cry Wolf," I'm not surprised that you have mixed feelings. What "Cry Wolf" does is up-date the old style porn of telling a story, revolving around (and showing) "real" sex--not exaggerated or extreme porno sex. Since the mid-1990s most porn has been a compilation of scenes, maybe held together by a "theme" but not really telling a story--where the performers have to portray "characters." The non-character porn videos are easier to make because most porn performers are not actors; and most porn "directors" have not been trained to work with actors. The downside is that it limits porn--both in appeal and as an "artistic expression." In other words: it's purely about the jerk-off factor. Porn Features when done right, like "Cry Wolf," makes the viewer think about their sex lives and relationships. Which is why many fans and industry people consider Features "Female" or "Couples" porn. I don't know. And, BTW, when porn was making more quality features, mainstream directors (like John Frankenheimer, Brain DePalma, and Francis Ford Coppola) felt that porn contributed to the visual media. Coppola, at the height of his popularity, even came to an early AVN Awards show. I doubt they feel that way now. Bottom line: the porn scene is changing--again. Well, yeah. You're right "Cry Wolf" is indeed different from many many other porn movies and that's what makes it a great movie. That's for sure. But I can't deny that I liked "Please Me" a lot more. You know. Monique in some straight/linear scenes. But the main reason why I asked for what next is still about this scene I have no idea from what movie it is. And well, this way vivid releases scenes and gives news is really bad, so...I still hope to find some answers
I totally agree with Charon, Cry wolf is a good film but when i want to see a porn i prefer to watch I-rock or Sunny loves matt (for examples)... So i agree with Derek117 too, except for Stefani's scene... I love her and in that scene she is gorgeous but it is too too short, 5 minutes is insufficient to difine a scene HOT!
Yes I saw it, I did't like it very much... Monique is very beautiful but doesn't fuck hard, her performance is a little bit dull... Director is B.Skow.

Monique is indeed very beautiful in this movie. And well, I don't think "dull" is the right word. Of course her performances are not as - let's say - nasty as performances by Sasha Grey or Jenna Haze. And well, I think her first scene in "Please Me" is pretty hot and in comparison to other scenes of Monique I've seen so far also pretty hot. But I have to agree that her second scene is a bit "uninspired"...However, imo "Please Me" is one of her best movies. I only hope she's going to do more movies like that...
I saw Please Me and I agree Monique's scenes are definately not over the top sex scenes. I never was really into her that much though. Every scene she does, she acts the same way. I do like Skow's stuff, and the other scenes are much better I think.

right now i can't imagine monique shooting gonzo movies, but it would be really interesting to see. i think she rather concentrates on feature dancing and/or promoting her own website. any other suggestions?
The buzz that I hear is that Monique will retire after her current Vivid contract runs out. She's been in porn (starting with solo & g/g photo shoots) for about 8 years--which is several lifetimes in the porn biz. She has also been "dating" again. And she usually dates "civilians"--which makes being in porn more difficult. Guys who aren't in the biz, don't like their girlfriend getting banged with 9-inch dicks for a living. IMO the only thing that will keep Monique in the biz beyond her current Vivid contract is if the "new" Vivid Girls (Hanna, Meggan, Nikki) don't produce the sales numbers that Vivid needs. Then, Vivid may approach Monique with a "sweetheart deal" to stay for one more year, doing just a few videos. They may even give her the Savanna Samson deal of her own production company. Plus, if Monique scores big come awards season for "Cry Wolf" or "Please Me," both Vivid and Monique may want to capitalize on this "spike" in her career for one more year. One thing's for sure: Monique won't do gonzo. Throughout her entire career, hard, nasty sex has never been part of Monique sexual resume. I can't believe how long Vivid keeps scenes in the can. I'm watching Where The Boys Aren't #19 and it's got two scenes of a completely untattooed Monique Alexander. That means these scenes are approximately a year old. Why do that?

I just saw Monique's latest tattoo. She was with Sammie Rhodes on a site called "kissmegirl.com" The tattoo is at least 20 inches long, running down her right side, from underarm to hip, scrolling around onto her back as well.

I think Vivids smaller features and gonzo type movies are released sooner, but the big features they seem to hold on to forever. The trailer looks good and it looks like Monique fucks Marcus and another guy at the same time. Has she ever done a three way?
Latest news is a new release later this month "Nurse Monique". Her video ""American Swinger" with Lorena Sanchez and Tee Reel is due out later this year or early next year. She seems to have a video released once a month. Other than that she is dancing a lot and having fun. Notnih

If you worried about Monique getting implants, you're okay for now. My understanding is that Vivid put a clause in Monique's contract that she will NOT get a boob job. IMO, they need to put a no tattoo clause in their girls' contracts, too.
Thanks Derek. My post should have read (UN)necessary boob job; I edited it. Thanks for sharing that it is in her contract not to get one. Her natural ones are great as they are. It's ironic that so many pornstars try to stand out by getting boob jobs, when in fact these days they would stand out more by not getting them, since they are so common. Some of my favs ruined their natural ones: Jen Teal, Sabrine Maui, Daisy Marie etc. Funny side story: I had the pleasure of meeting porn star India at a show. I told her I hope she never got a boob job; she said you think I need one? I said no, of course not; but, neither do 90% of those who get them. She said, yes, that true. A couple more comments. Not to get too off track, but Jenteal started in porn in 1994 and by 1999 (a year before she retired) she decided to get implants. Why? Number One, that's a lot of years of having your boobs constantly squeezed, slapped and sucked--exaggerated for the camera. So, her girls were beginning to sag. Plus Vivid's contract girl line-up at the time was very high quality, including Janine, Julia Ann, Nikki Tyler, Lexus, Dyanna Lauren, Sky, Raylene, and (newbie) Devon. All of whom had big, firm (fake) tits. Bottom line, Jenteal didn't want to get "cut" from the team. Getting implants must have seemed like a good idea at the time. To get back to Monique: IMO there's not the same quality (beauty) of porn girls today as in 1999, so even with new Vivid Girls Hanna Hilton and Meggan Mallone, I doubt that Monique would lose her spot in the Vivid stable. She's just too attractive--as long as they can cover up the tats, or shoot from a different angle.
^Jenteal was one of my favs. She was stunning in person and I was fortunate enough to see her in person once at a Video Store signing when she first started doing boy/girl. Amazingly, there were only a few people there and most were obvlious to who she was. We talked for awhile; she seemed to be pretty down to earth and rather intelligent and well spoken, as I recall. I was struck by how petite and pretty she was in person, even more so than in vids. I'm not even necessarily a "boob" guy, but she had probably the best "small" but shapely ones in the biz... I guess that is why I was disapointed. Yes, Vivid had a great lineup then, also with Taylor Hayes, Kobe Tai (fake ones too, but that's another story) and Heather Hunter. I agree about Monique standing out; she is by far my current fav Vivid girl. ^^ I met Jenteal during the heyday of her career as a Vivid Girl, and she seemed very smart, down-to-earth...and very strong-willed. By the time I met her, she knew enough about the biz to be assertive and not let others tell her what to do. IMO, Jenteal had the most successful career of any girl in porn history. She controlled her career, made a lot of money at a young age, had fun in her work (by working with guys she knew & trusted)--and got out without any drug/drink problems that so many other girls don't manage to avoid. Plus, Jenteal married & retired with the same guy she was with since BEFORE she entered the industry, and who stayed with her for her entire six year porn run. But getting back to Monique. Part of her success at Vivid (and different from Jenteal) is that Monique pretty much does whatever Vivid wants her to do: anal, IR, b/g/b, etc. Back in 2005 several Vivid Girls left because they were uncomfortable with the new "house rules" but Monique stayed--and now with Savanna Samson gone, Monique seems to be Numero Uno. If watch her interview during the BTS featurette for "Monique's Been Blackmaled" Monique says that it was "in her contract to do IR," so she's doing "Blackmaled" with Mr Marcus. She goes on to say she's friends/comfortable with Marcus...but has never met Tyler Knight, who would be part of her IR 3-way with Marcus in "Blackmaled". Such loyalty to Vivid will pay off, if Monique finally gets an AVN Award for her performance in "Cry Wolf" next January.

^^ If I remember correctly, Monique's contract with Vivid runs out at the end of 2008. If she re-signs there will probably be a press release announcing it. My guess is she's probably waiting to see if she wins any AVNs in January before deciding to re-sign for one more year. If Vivid promoted "Cry Wolf" within the industry in part to get Monique some AVN nominations, that probably means they want her to re-sign. IMO, although Vivid has Hannah Harper, Nikki Jayne & Meggan Mallone under contract, Monique is currently their workhorse and Big Money Maker. So they'll want to keep her for at least one more year. Monique has indicated in interviews that she will end her career at Vivid. So if she doesn't re-sign with them, it means she moving on from porn. She's not saying anything about re-signing or retiring on her MySpace page. By the end of the January AEE show in Las Vegas we should know what if Monique is retiring or not.
^^ Monique is one of the truly nice people in the industry, and has earned the support of her fans. As for your Christmas wish, Monique has been in the porn business for 8 years, and the average performers' career is only 12-24 months. On a pay-per-sexvid basis, she's been a top earner, is now working for one of the Top Quality companies in the business. She's now done several anals, IR scenes, and b/g/b scenes. Since she's not into gangbangs or gonzo, there's not much left for her to do in porn. Plus, she's very "grounded" by the friends she grew up with in northern Cali, and if you look at her MySpace page, you'll see she has a "civilian" boyfriend (He's in a band, of course). The odds are long that she re-ups. But you never know.
