The parody has a long and distiguished history in English Literature. Often the parody long outlives the thing it mocks. What comes to mind is Fielding's "Joseph Andrews", a parody still read today of Richardson's "Pamela", now only a punishment for graduate English Majors. An entire Chapter of Joyce's "Ulysses," 'Aeolus,' I think is a parody of what was the equivalent then of the supermarket tabloids. Many of the thatricall release porn movies of the 70's were take offs on mainstream movies of the time. Where's Gore Gore Girl when we need her? She could give you examples.
Hello - yes, I agree, parody is a cherished (yet often poorly done) staple of culture (high and low), particularly in porn - my take on it is that the consistent popularity of porn parody is a combination of "legitimizing" the genre and porn's love of "talking back" to the mainstream and canon (in all its hypocritical glory). I think when people hear the phrase "parody" these days they have a really limited idea of what that means in their head. Off the top of my head, here are some of my favourite porn parodies (bearing in mind that I use the term 'parody' in its more far-reaching sense - they're not all parodying movies/TV shows): The Load Warrior The Passions of Carol Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre Stiff Competition I also own, but have not yet watched, The American Adventures of Surelick Holmes, which I'm told is silly and fun, but cool. Of the recent XXX parodies, the one I liked the best was Bewitched. Oh, and I hesitatingly recommend The Penetrator and The Hole - hesitatingly because they're really low budget, mostly badly acted, but I enjoyed them for their funny dialogue and general silliness. There were some clever moments in each, but I won't watch them again. I don't think I've seen the "classic" parodies that everyone always references (but I suspect never seen?). One that I always hear is good is Splendor in the Ass. Surely other people have suggestions too?
I dont really like them myself but thats because they all seem to come from the same studios all the time,I Would like to see Wicked Pictures have a dig at some
You're not wrong with that idea Quas that there should be more original concepts out there but for the moment this parody craze is definitely working for the industry not only in good sales but good publicity. So of course it'll continue. And no doubt you and Bangs and Buckton should be acknowledged with Mullen, Braun, and Roy but I'm sure its more over the fact you've only got 2 parodies out right now so you're still I guess not on everyone's radar. The fact that its Jersey Shore should get it higher on the radar since that's certainly the biggest "at the moment" parody out. Not saying of course that you should do more, even though I'm looking forward to the Catch A Predator one.
I love the parodies. They're funny as hell. . . .but. . . .one thing that's bugging me. . . I wanna see some CURRENT shows parodied. I don't remember thinking too many of the people from these 80s shows were hot at all. the people who did the Sex Files had the right idea. the people who did Dexxxter, sorta had the right idea (and well, if it's got Nikki Rhodes I'm probably not gonna turn it down)
and yeah, that's a good point about the same companies doing them all the time. . . but you know do some current shows.
the websites have the major companies beat when it comes to parodies anyway . . .they should just cast them better. There's a whole thread right on this board full of great cast ideas for these things, maybe they should have a look.
btw, Jersey Shore parody is a pretty funny idea but it also proves that if you dress up like Snooki you won't be hot anymore NOBODY pulls that look off Edited by - cm37564 on 2/26/2010 7:55:22 PM
I agree with this, more current shows please. Well the True Blood parody comes out next week so its a start. There's also a Charmed parody coming out as well.

It would be interesting to see what a good porn maker could do, not with parodies, but 'remakes' of some classic movies. Not that it's ever going to happen, but there are porn actors I've seen who would do a splendid job with x rated versions of 'Casablanca' or 'North by Northwest'. For that matter, it's a shame, though I understand it's not want most porn fans want, that porn seems pretty much done with plotlines, dialog and story structure. I think the porn community has some excellent talents that could surprise many with their acting excellence.
Some have been hilarious, others extremely erotic - some hot and some sucked. Not really different than any other genre. Looking forward to checking out "Jersey Shore/i]" although the actual show makes me barf a little in my mouth. When are we seeing a parody of "Facts of Life"? "I like to watch"
Charmed parody? sounds cool It's too bad "Buffy the Vampire Layer" has already been done. . years ago. . (Sunny Lane would be a great Willow) Edited by - cm37564 on 2/28/2010 2:26:04 PM

How about One Day Time Parody, that would be good, even know I don't watch parody here are some one I would like to see. Star Wars Afro Samurai An IR Parody of Kim and Khole Kardashian Well I like to see Eva Angelina as Kim and Katie Kox of Khole.
I was really into Parody with Naylin Paylin and my interest finally wained with the Twilight parody. Still I think people must be buying as there have been a lot released lately.
Some new movie came out called Detachable Peniz, about a woman who wishes her husband's penis would fall off and it does. Ok, fine, whatever. But on the box, it has "a XXX parody" slapped on the front. Can anyone think what this could be a parody of? I wonder if they just throw the phrase on there for marketing purposes. My boyfriend said it might be a parody of the song, or of the Bobbit case, but that doesn't sound right. Any thoughts?
now that I know that about Detachable Penis, I have to see it (and, well, it has Rachel Roxxx) by the way, I saw the "to catch a predator" one pretty decent, at least for Julia Ann's part

Go ahead and stop the porn parodies. I have seen two good ones. Digital Sin's first spoof of "the office" is the best I have seen and should have been the start of a trend which to build upon rather than something to detract from. Hustler's first Sarah Palin spoof, had hot content, a hot cast, but low picture quality typical of many of Hustler's DVDs. I have seen several other parodies and they are all just low quality, non-erotic, bad mimicry. When Zero Tolerance follows this lead, it is time to recognize that no matter the brand or the cast, leave the porn parody on the shelf. It should have been a sure thing with Ann Marie Rios, Kristina Rose, Lisa Ann and Zero Tolerance on the box cover of "Jersey Shore", but even Mike Quasar could not save it (it was not his project, he was just assisting, it was not his fault). I should have listened to Mike Quasar earlier in this thread.

Since it is in tis finall season someone probabaly will parody this series with a porno. It has all the fanbase of "Entourage" doesn't it? Haven't seen Tru Blood parody yet but I cannot wait. I think they are doing it as a serious drama ala X-files parody!!
"-- an adult movie called "Tiger's Wood" is already in production, according to E! Online. The skin flick, to be produced by Adam & Eve Pictures, bills itself as the "official porn parody" of the allegedly sex-crazed golfer's reported antics, according to the Web site. Tyler Knight will star as the embattled golfer and Kayden Kross as Elin Nordegren, according to a statement posted on Knight's Web site. " See pic 16 http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/galleries/pictures_rachel_uchitel_alleged_tiger_woods_mistress_is_at_the_center_/ pictures_rachel_uchitel_alleged_tiger_woods_mistress_is_at_the_center_.html (In case the link don't work as is, I broke the link in two by pressing return after after "center_/ " to make it fit better on this page.)
And beware of penis hands or detachable penises. It's a sneaky way to have some dildo scenes instead of inserting tab A into slot B. Still, sexy in its own way. Edited by - Monkey Power on 3/23/2010 5:25:37 PM
where have you been? porn has been doing parodies since I can remember. Jonathan Morgan was doing parodies of Seinfeld clear back in the early nineties. I think porn parodies are great as long as they don't forget to throw in some good sex scenes.for what it's worth I'm sure there are plenty of old bags who go to church every sunday who would agree with you.
I think it's sort of funny that a thread called "Please Stop the Porn Parody" has been totally co-opted by people who like parodies. I like 'em, too. That charmed parody sounds cool. i stayed up last one night and added some cast suggestions with photos to the "lost parody" thread, check it out.
I find that tough to believe, and so do the two reviewers who wrote about them. And to be honest, the six-way scene with Lisa Ann and Kristina Rose, sounds like it's worth seeing by itself.
Yeah, I'm not really sure where that's coming from. The movie has some great scenes within the ridiculous mockery and I haven't read a bad review yet (except that one)
^It's a fine opportunity for lots of industry professionals to gather and be photographed. The actual awards make fine yard sale trinkets. I'm waiting to see when they'll have a Best Fake Cumshot award.
Really? I declare the bottom of the barrel officially scraped. I'm vaguely aware that this is a show because a girl at work mentioned it once. I have not seen it. But it does have BANG in the title so I guess it makes some sense for pron.
This is not bottom of the barrel. This is capitalizing on one of the top rated shows of the season. Not to mention us geeks will no doubt come out of the woodworks for this one. You've seen how we're all showing up in the superhero thread. This one of those other movies to get our attention.

Refusing to be discouraged by some of the underwhelming parodies, yet very much interested in porn that offers more than just gonzo I could not deny Diabolic's "Official Bounty Hunter Parody". It is a very loose, appropriately under-ambitious, parody, while being very much gonzo. Offering a diverse array of 5 fugitives and high picture quality, the scenes with Rebecca Linares and Marie Luv were great. An appreciated twist is the porn parody of a TV commercial also delivered with high picture quality. In Combat Zone's "What Can Brown Do For You", ultra-hot newcummer Imani Rose is a fresh, amazing demonstration of what many of us already know - what brown can do for us. I will learn to recognize the porn parodies worth my while, like I now know how to recognize the gonzo worth my while. Like all other porn genres, sometimes I will take chances and be pleasantly suprised, other times I will take the disappointments in stride. Apparently I do not have to beg, there seems to be a tsunami of porn paradies hitting my retailers.
I'll say one thing for parodies: While the acting, plots and sets are extremely lame, they are one of the few types of porn flicks that I'm comfortable showing to a group of friends (especially if the group includes women). When I have a get-together, absolutely NO WAY am I putting on my collection of gonzo, gangbang, A2M, DP and DAP porn. But I have shown my friends movies like "This ain't the Cosbys" or "Not Three's Company". They generally laugh and have a good time and there's even some drunken nostalgic reminiscing about the actual "Three's Company" and "Cosby Show" from when we were kids in the 80s.

I've been so conditioned to watching hot, raw sex from my favorite studios that anything with obvious acting in it has become soft-on inducing for me. I am looking forward to Vivid's Batman and Elegant Angel's Pornstar Superheroes, but only because I love hot, skin-tight costumes. Edited by - MantraMotion on 4/14/2010 3:42:59 AM
I see this has gone from a kind of universal hatred over pardies to a few ppl suggeting them. WTF is up with that?! BTW, never ever suggest Gears of War or Halo become a parody. People running around in trash can suits does not even remotely sound good. ------ creativity [xx)] *****The Dr. of Nasty*****
