How is this different than the common woman who's also concerned about her future comfrt or that of her children-to-be...its all about money in some way or other.and what if you've got big $$$, a big dick and an affinity for anal play?and a sugar-daddy with a voyeuristic fetish ???Not necessarily soooo
Hardware said "My take, since this industry is all about the hot, new chick, I would think that the hotter the producer thinks you are, the more he's going to be willing to invest to get that anal scene. So, like Selena said, I'll take the flat-rate theory with mucho sal, por favor."
I'm guesssing your referring to my post? If so, maybe I'm being dense, but I always said prices were give or take. Who knows what someone will offer or accept on any given day.
That's just the way entertainment works, for cast and crew. Sometimes you'll take less money to work for someone you really want to work for, maybe it'll gain you a favor, maybe you don't want to do a job but it pays too much to ignore, maybe you haven't worked in months, maybe you need time off, etc etc.
It all just depends.
The original thread asked for how much does an average porn star make, and thats the info I and others as well gave.
Ask anybody in porn, an in demand girl that makes 1500 bucks for an anal scene today may do it for 800 tomorrow because she needs to get her car out of the impound or god knows what.
I'm amazed at the salaries as well. Considering you cant be in porn forever, you interupt any study/career alternatives for the number of years you're in porn (I assume the growth in the industry isnt that big that all stars can become directors after a while), taxes (unless you have a nice company who can arrange some non-fiscalised earnings), and the overhead (do people get jobs via an agent?), perhaps a car you need to get to the locations, etc. I would say you get screwed :-) .
It probably is easier to raise the money for a good university/study/business then flippin' burgers.
I assume the more entrepreneurial girls are able to earn a lot more due to websites and perhaps merchandising. I think Selena is good example of a girl who 'markets' hereself extremely well.

what else could u spend 1500 on in an hour...unless ur buying diamond rings....white powder seems more likely
juha, DenverDon, just to make it clear, I honestly just meant that I could easily spend $1500 in the shops in an hour. I pointed out blow cos I said my ass was for sale (as a joke), then realised that I left myself open on the blow (blowjob) bit. But I definitely wasn't inferring drugs.
I don't want to get deactivated.
I'm gonna hide in Polls and WN&N, it's too stressful up here.

Robbie, you made it very clear especially with your second response above. NP.
Salary implies a contract - some contracts aren't that much, like missy monroe or Ashley Blue might only make 50k a year for their scenes. Still, it's a guaranteed income...
As others have said, it's mostly by scene and sexual act..
dp maybe 900 - 1200 bj scene 300
"Internet" sites might pay less, because the girls are in and out fast...also these rates are always negotiable...a pimp might charge an extra 60 or 100 on top of the scene rate....
I think that if a lady is "hot"; she will be under a contract pretty fast! Her agent will push for it so he/she can live on easy street for at least a year or two! Good for all parties! Lady has to be "hot" from the start and that is one in a thousand!
jesus christ, 225 posts to wring out the answer of "basically a grand" for as many movies as they've made. stick around till you're totally shot-out and blown-out and you might do 500k for your career, most don't last that long.
i'm more interested in what the fuck stevie feinberg took home last year and whether he's interested in buying my used panties on a recurring billing-cycle.
Even with payroll you should only have to wait a week to 10 days to get paid. Anyone who stretches you out to 4 weeks didn't have the money to shoot you in the first place.
Through the modern miracle of the portable calculator, there is absolutely no reason that payroll (w-2) checks can't be cut on the spot. If the amount has been agreed to in advance, there's no reason a producer can't arrive on the set with checks and withholding statements ready to go.
Do you have any STD's, if so you'll probably lose $50 to $100 bucks...however, if there are piss or skid-mark stains, the value might increase, Japan is a weird, wild place, a real open market...Rob Longshot should look into, if he wasn't too busy ripping off other people's ideas and movie titles. But you know, there are some people out there that are so Goth they actually shit bats!
Seriously, pace Schrödinger's Cat, it's all bats shat out the ass all the time, no 50-50%, no need to inquire about half-lives, etc...just bats every single time.
After my day on a Diabolic set (Chico Wang at the helm), it appeared that they cut checks for everyone on the spot. 15 dudes and Melissa Lauren, so, y'know, it wasn't inexpensive.
(Hmmmm, sounds like a really crazy version of "The Bachelorette," doesn't it?)
YES! Rob longshot HATES coming up with original movie titles that might not come with the mistake-sales already built in.
how soon until he stops getting paid then moves on? i think the second law of thermodynamics has something about longshot only working for the same people for three months.

I swing both ways. Off course I´d like you not to read the fine print on any contract ill be sending your way. Especially not the part about paying for my flight ticket from Sweden.
Chico just shot me in over 31 scenes in 22 days. He even pays his regulars a bunch of scenes in advance because he doesn't like writing checks. But for most jobs today you have to wait for the money. It shouldn't take more than 10 days but some times (some companies) it does.
I agree. Even without a computer program, there are withholding tables available from your accountant or the IRS for daily, weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly and annually paid wages. You get the proper table out, read the proper line and you know what to withhold. The W-4 provides the number of deductions one may take regarding taxation. No, I do not work in porn, but the tax system works the same whether you are a banking compliance officer (my last job before retirement) or a porn performer.
Most people have shifted to Talent Testing Services, as I understand it. The question isn't really about getting tested, because technically you could do that anywhere, but its about being able to have that test independently verified by a third party, so there is no question about whether a test was faked or not. As for rates, it depends on the company, and it's all over the board. Just know what you are getting paid for, how much, and when before you show up. In a lot of cases, the rates are lower than 2005, but not by much, and instead of lowering rates, companies are simply shooting less.
