^ Wow. I did not see this coming. (No sarcasm there. I truly thought she was out for good.) As long as she's happy with her decision though, I'm more than happy to have her back. Katja's a superstar in my books. (Well, in many other people's books too, not just mine.)
^ I hope she's happy also and figures out what she wants from life. I'm sure her comeback will make a lot of people happy but I personally don't/can't enjoy watching her since she claimed she didn't enjoy shooting her scenes. Every time I see her on a cover or her name listed that's the first and only thing that goes through my head now. I'm sure she has her reasons for returning to porn and that's fine but she just killed it for me with her need to say what she did. I wish her luck though.
I've read the entire thread --.the attacks, the critiques, and the plaudits. My take? Katja has guts, is an intelligent and independent thinker, and has personal ethics. I see nothing whatsoever contradictory or "hypocritical" in her actions. It's her life; she should be allowed to make her own life's choices. (And, oh yeah, I almost forgot: I'd love to fuck her. I'm now a fan.) Hang in there, babe. Edited by - titguy on 12/3/2011 10:24:38 AM
I'm glad the way I did things. It was necessary for me to focus on school during the last 2 years. I am now in a totally different situation because I got the worst chunk of classes behind me now and I can now take a breather and take more time for others things. Plus I really needed a break, I was burnt out and I didn't want that to show in my scenes. Now I am ready and excited to do some more great porn. I feel like I needed some time to figure out my education and where to go with it and I didn't want that stress to affect the quality of my performance. To me this was the only logical step. And honestly I needed the security in the back of my mind that I have something else besides porn that I can fall back on later in my life.
It's so great that you are back :) This is a great year, first Sandra Romain and now you returning porn :D you and Sandra are true living porn legends :) It almost feels too good to be true :P What types of movies do you want to do now? And which girls/guys do you want to work with?
I just read the original post of this thread, but it got me thinking. Yesterday I went through the Wendy's drive through for a sandwich and the guy told me he hated his job. He hated the entire fast-foot industry in fact. I had quite the moral dilemma. I didn't know if I should enjoy that delicious sandwich at his expense. this thread = lulz Good luck finding a service or product anywhere that doesn't rely on someone doing work they don't enjoy.
Good for you Katja. These charges of hypocrisy or questioning ur presence here are lame. Porn must come with massive baggage, people think they know you, and probably often assume you are the girl they see in the movie. And it aint like the old days, the internet means even if you go small town ANYWHERE, people will know you. I could not bear that. And you know we humans are complicated, I'm guessing there were aspects of porn you and many stars enjoy. I'm guessing you miss the good stuff, maybe you like to reminisce, it must feel nice when you see fans missing you, validating. But balanced against a life of anonymity, being free of the judgments, condescension, being treated like an "easy girl", I'm guessing the natural course for most stars is to grow out of wanting your naughty parts all over the computer. I think some of this negative attitude comes from people thinking you're now "too good" for all this, I mean we are all here, and we love porn, so your leaving might to some seem like you're saying, "so long losers/perverts." THis is the dark side of all our natures, misery loves company, we don't like to see our friends succeed, etc... As to you escorting, good gracious, why wouldn't you??? I've heard that ex performers command big dough for one on one attention, you earned your notoriety, and its paying off, good for you. If I were a hot, smart, well adjusted lady, with goals, and someone wanted to pay me, what, 5-10 k for an encounter, why the heck not? At the end of the day, I feel a little sad for the judgers out there. When we feel bad about ourselves, its human nature to look for the holes in other peoples lives, but it's no way to be happy.... Cheers!
At the end of the day porn stars have sex. And reading too much into performers leaving for a while, then coming back is kind of like being mad at your girlfriend because she had kinky sex with you yesterday and today she's not in the mood. I don't understand what the big deal is. I still continue to go to school because that's really important to me and now I happen to feel like doing some more porn for a while. Maybe next week I don't feel like it anymore, who knows... Porn is not something you should continue doing if you ever don't feel like you really want to. To me this totally makes sense. Nothing is worse than a porn star on set with a bad attitude who doesn't want to do the scene. And yes there are aspects about being a porn star that sometimes suck (lol) but then again it's a cool job at the same time. For me personally nothing in life is totally black or white. I just don't see things that way. If I talk about some things that I critically view about my work that doesn't mean it was completely horrible. I don't understand why people can't follow this approach but also I don't get too stresses out about what others think. You guys can watch my new scenes and see for yourself or ask the directors or performers that worked with me. None of them, I promise, will tell you they thought I hated it.

The pay is lousy, you have no job security, no benefits, work long hours without any kind of real opportunity to progress from there. I can barely imagine anyone likes to work at a fast food place. At the most you can maybe get to the point where you mind trick yourself into believing it's not so bad and it could be much worse. But if a little fairy would come to your bed before you fall asleep at night and you could pick what you want to be, I highly doubt anyone would pick "flipping burgers". I imagine people picking: pilot, engineer, astronaut, doctor etc." MY OPINION thats how most people pay though college ...some of the pilot, engineer, doctors also....most people who are not born rich do these jobs..no one likes to work there but it pays the bill....people can do the difficult jobs or take the easy option like u ..u study in a college/uni some of ur classmates are doing it..."flipping burgers"....sometimes ,katja if I MAY QUOTE YOU "you can maybe get to the point where you mind trick yourself into believing it's not so bad[what you do] and it could be much worse." Are you not gonna enjoy your drive-thru cheeseburger because the dude who assembled it hates his job? Unless her suffering is visible on the video(and you're not into that) how is it any different? ____________________________ Please ID these PlayboyTV girls https://forum.adultdvdtalk.com/playboytv-foursome-identification-thread/ Edited by - hoochimama on 3/5/2013 8:04:42 AM
Very different. Even if the dude who hates making cheeseburgers hates doing it with a passion as long as he does it that cheesburger will taste the same no matter if he hates or thinks it's the greatest job in the world. If a pornstar isn't really enjoying themselves is going through the motions even if she isn't visably "suffering" I think in many cases a viewer can tell...and who wants to watch that? Or if you're into watching girls who enjoy having sex and find out a particular girl doesn't, it ruins the fantasy for you. While I understand a girl isn't going to enjoy every scene equally, I don't want to hear/know that she hates doing porn. Why would I want to watch a pornstar or anyone (even that cheeseburger maker dude) doing something they don't like? Even if a girl says she was uncomfortable/unhappy doing a scene or working with someone I have no desire to watch that scene. When the pornstar above said she doesn't/didn't like making porn I stopped watching her stuff because it's the first thing that pops into my head. It's a distraction I can do without. There are plenty of people who can hear or find out stuff like this and happily continue to watch it but not everyone can simply ignore when a girl says something like that.
When you bring up cheeseburgers made by a disgruntled employee, I can't help by think of Anthony Andersen and the Burger Shack scene in Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. So, for some people, watching an unhappy porn star fucking for money is like eating animal semen. On the other hand, some people like eating animal semen.
how is it ????who enjoys the work he/she does???all of us want a better house or a better life....we do jobs that pay for them... ACTUALLY,half of America hates their jobs.... http://www.cnbc.com/id/47875050/Why_Half_of_America_Hates_Their_Jobs every one who gets paid less hates their jobs but has to do it to pay their bills...ask a cabdriver, bus driver or a trash cleaner how much he likes his job....
Then that means that half of America like their jobs. I know bus drivers who love their job, i know a taxi driver in Las Vegas who loves his job - he's my brother. College degree, 8 years in law which he hated and now loves being a cab driver. And I love my job. A full half of Americans love their jobs - seems reasonable to suggest that half of porn performers love their. In my experience it's much higher than half.
i agree with u..a person can do what he/SHE wants to do...but i get pissed off when a person does a job FOR A LONGTIME..DERIVES ALL THE BENEFIT FROM IT..AND THEN say that they didnt like it...i,mean,if u didnt like it it IN THE FIRST PLACE...you could have QUIT IT AND TAKE A JOB THAT PAYS LESS ...but then dont WHINE that "I HATE MY JOB,BUT it pays well BUT I cant quit BECAUSE i have to pay my bills"..it is SO HYPOCRITICAL... and if u think u r not satisfied with ur job then so is 50 percents americans also....dont whine... my point of view was that some students take up jobs as waiters or cab drivers to pay the bills..they may not like it but they do it pursue their education... i wasnt mentioning what ideal jobs are.. I just explained how it's different and you ignored it. And as it's clearly obvious and you even posted a link to it...not everyone hates their job. More importantly, not every pornstar hates their job. I've seen plenty of pornstars who get excited over the thought doing their next scene or working with certain talent. So to think they all hate their job is silly. Sure, they may have bad days or not like certain aspects of it and/or they do it for the money but that doesn't mean they hate doing it. So to say it's not a big deal that the above pornstar said she hates doing porn doesn't get a pass with me. She's free to do whatever she wants and I wish her well but I choose to watch her stuff anymore because of what she said. Given a choice of watching someone who says she hates doing porn vs someone who doesn't is an easy choice for some people.
^ I don't think for a minute that all or even most of the girls "loving" what they're doing or the guy(s) they're doing it with but I think there are a lot of girls that don't hate doing it and are into making the scene work. A lot of fans like to claim the girls aren't into it or are just going through the motions but more often than not some girls just aren't good at the performance end of it. The truth is that in real life sex isn't that exciting to watch and doesn't make for what most people consider good porn. That's why so many porn fans are disapointed with celeb sex tapes. So porn performers have to play it up and some girl are better at playing it up than others. But I tend to think most porn performers don't "hate" shooting their scenes or "hate" the guys they're working with most of the time if any.
^ I also think a lot of people have some kind of stake in believing that the (female) performers hate their job and are degraded. It's amusing to see performers step in on threads where fans are sure of the presence of pain and suffering, only to be told they are imagining it. Similarly, I often see fans mocking or otherwise having a good laugh in reaction to performers who take their work seriously. It's as if pleasure, sincerity, and meaning threaten their particular fantasy.
^ Yeah, like when pornstars express joy or really appreciate winning awards. A lot of people mock that a girl should be proud for winning an award in porn. I have to imagine most of the girls doing porn actually want to do a good job and feel good when they do so so it makes sense they'd be proud if the receive recognition for it. With so many girls who've come here over the years and expressed how much fun they have shooting scenes or looking foward to doing upcoming stuff and future plans it's surprising how many people simply ignore that and continue to think all porn girls are somehow stuck doing this awful thing they hate because they aren't fit to do anything else. Since coming to this site I'm often surprised at the way some fans view pornstars.
I agree with you totally. I will be deleting my scenes with Cayenne: "Cayenne Klein wrote: I quit more than a year ago, I'm never coming back! & what makes me happiest; to think that i'll never have to do fucking anal again in my life! Always hated it, and its exhausting to pretend to like it! I'm so happy doing webcam now, and what's funniest is that I'm making the same amount of money doing only solo! No BG & no anal. "
^ They hated doing it yet they continued to do scene after scene after scene. Call me a callous bastard but they chose and legally consented to do this under their own free will. I can't say I'm busting at the seams with sympathy.
