I think this is a valid thread of information for those considering anal sex scenes. I've only done one and that was enough for me. Luckily, I didn't get injured but I sure saw the probability of it happening if I continued. The size of the talent is a major factor for most girls. Prep is another thing that you learn as you go, no one teaches you these things before doing an anal scene. The number one reason girls get injured, whether anal or vaginally, is because there are male talents that are not caring and professional. Maybe two years ago on her blog Mika Tan said that she needed anal surgery after someone lost their mind and was careless. That sucks, sets should have "enforcers" just for that kind of thing.
I can't speak for what happens on professional studio sets, but I film videos for amateur ladies that sell clips. One showed me a list of things to bring on set she got off of some website and it included Rx painkillers for rough scenes. I guess the philosophy is to get an extreme scene and regret it in the morning rather than take your time and speak up when its too much. (I'd rather take it slow since I usually get paid by the hour anyways.)
Taking prescription painkillers to get through a rough scene is a recipe for disaster! I take them for a back injury and have for many years. Even for that purpose, you start with a low dose and go slow on raising the dose as needed, guided by an experienced doctor. Since most have a "if one is good than three are better" mentality, whoever made that list probably inadvertently killed a couple of people who followed that advice! I know that the dose of medication I take twice a day has killed many inexperienced and medication intolerant people in one dose. Certainly do not go out on the street and buy something for this purpose, if talent feels the need to keep emergency painkillers in their kit go to your doctor (for guys that would be the same guy that prescribes your Viagra), find out what dose is safe and stick to that dose if something does happen -- increasing the dose without medical training will kill you! Also if something hurts badly enough to need narcotics and it hasn't happened before or comes from having sex, you would be well served to get into the hospital ASAP!
