OF makes more money than all big companies together! There is a girl (she doesn't do porn) who made 1 million dollars in one hour! The famous american pornstars make more money "working" for OF. Sure, its better for performers, but for consumers you're paying a premium for an often inferior product. Bad lighting, shitty camera angles, and since you pay to subscribe to each performer individually it can get expensive really quickly.

According to fansmetrics, Earnings without ppv. I agreed with every word, specially that "...get expensive..." part. Some pornstars only make ppv content. But some ppl just wanna see Remy, AJ, Kendra etc. Some companies may go bankrupt in the near future.
If OF is the future of porn, then basically there won't be a future at all. To me this OF thing is kind of like a bubble that's getting giant and sometime it will explode and things will go back to normal. the problem with the industry is that wages always rise, and customers always want the most amount of content for the least outlay
so, there's got to be a happy medium - which we've had for years due to the internet and network subscription sites like Brazzers offering a single transactional fee per month, for a month's worth of new content (and access to older content on demand) so you pay the least amount possible for them to turn a profit, continue generating new content each day, and still pay the talent and production crews their wages
OF takes away the cameraman/director/producer/sound guy/makeup artists etc and just gives the performer the ability to record and share their own content directly with a paying audience. meaning the price per content may seem steep (for the customer) but the share with the performer is split between them and OnlyFans only, there are no production crews to pay, meaning that they see more of the cash than they would have with a professional production setup
so they're getting maximum revenue for minimal outlay, and punters buy whatever they want to buy
yes, it's a bubble that may burst, but it's definitely one to keep an eye on because it's fundamentally changed the way performers earn money throughout Covid, so it's bound to keep them using it throughout 2021 and into next year
I think too that the pandemic brought many new girls/couples to the camming world and right now browsing sites I have always gone too there are too many for all to be able to sustain a decent wage and its hard work. Same goes for OF, its here to stay in some form or another but not everyone wants that responsibility and work behind the scenes. So I believe there will be girls, women, etc who prefer the standard porn model which is shooting for companies and perhaps being able to shoot some stuff exclusively for themselves as part of the pay scale. I do believe most companies left will not be able to migrate to the new norm that will arise but while the pandemic still very much affects the industry its hard to see what normal is going to be yet. I personally do not like OF only because the quality is so up and down and inconsistent but that's just me. Girls who have done the standard porn with companies still filming I believe will shoot some with them and it remains to be seen how the money direction leans. Right now OF and the such is very much in the established person's favor, but how do you get to that point? To have folks follow you and pay they have to know who you are and what thet are getting.

She is pulling down half a million a year if those numbers are not cooked. She has no reason to shoot with a studio. While I applaud stars finally making money while controlling their product, I subbed to Remy FO and was massively unimpressed. Granted, not the sharpest knife in the drawer but no obvious way to download content. Pics are mid resolution, at best. Every video I saw was cell footage. Not what porn fans in this era have become used to.
Btw, somebody just told her on her Instagram post to come back to porn already. This prolly gets said 100 times on each of her posts, but this time she replied that she still needs to get her vaccine first.
So that at least means the come back is still in the cards.
I think it is very likely she will shoot for studios again for some time. Alot of people into current porn don't know her. If she shoots 10-20 scenes and then continue on OnlyFans she can double her subscribers there!

With the current increasing amount of models on onlyfans it's already bloated and it will be worse in a few years, with so many to choose from only the models offering the most bang for the buck will emerge, the others will just drown in the ocean of MIA content creators. What makes you think that? For what ive seen she may be shooting for her personal site, but no signs of any major company she is shooting for right now. Did i miss something? Hope she definately is shooting pro though.
^ I don't think you can make this generalization. There's mediocre studios everywhere. It only happens that the big studios *mostly* shoot in L.A., but they also outsource to other locations. Bangbros is Florida-based, if I'm not mistaken.
