Phoenix Marie, Juelz Ventura and Jada Stevens retiring in the same month. Three all star performers who leave the stage. Too bad, but they have left a big amount of classic scenes. Most important is that they leave with a smile.
Damnit, Phoenix was just starting to do some of her best work, in my opinion. And what can one say about Jada, other than we're losing one of the all-time best physiques in porn.
^Come on. You have to take your fan hat off before posting things like that. Jada has been doing porn for a decade and Phoenix for 11 years. There is nothing that either of these women has not done multiple times over the last 10 years so while you can feel bad about them retiring. You cannot say that one or both of them has done some of their best work recently because that is simply untrue. Now if you truly believe that their most recent stuff is some of their best then you will be super thrilled when you start to research some of their past work because it will be significantly superior to a lot of the more recent stuff.
No one "has to" agree with your, or anyone else's opinion on what porn is superior to others. Do you really not get that? I prefer Phoenix's later stuff. Period. Doesn't mean I haven't seen her earlier stuff. Doesn't mean there's something wrong with me. Most ordinals in this world that you can think of are subjective, something I began to notice and accept at a young age.

I could not tell you definitively if Veruca James is retired, she may have very quietly as her twitter has not been active since January which is disappointing. Sinful Scorpio, Passionate Aries
Speigler has taken to moving performers off the main site but still representing them lately (for example, Kristina Rose said she was available for shooting again this month and is still repped by him even though she isn't on the main page). And someone asked Veruca the same thing at the end of last year for the same reason (because she wasn't using social media much) and she said she wasn't: [Tweet is no longer available] So while there's a decent chance she's done, it's not a certainty.

Avery Adair has also apparently retired. Her Instagram is gone and her Twitter is private. Her about me section there also expresses her frustration with the industry and its "disgusting men". Not sure what happened but it doesn't sound good.

Why would a porn actress announce quitting. Instead why don't they raise their pay to ridiculous rate so that might benefit both fans and them. I mean like really ridiculous to see anyone interested.
^ Maybe they like to announce their retirement so that their fans don't have to look out for their next new scene. In the Music industry press you read about artists have retired or a group have split up. I was heartbroken when Nikki Sexx retired (still wish she was back by the way). But at least I knew from Brazzers/Naughty America or whoever that the new scenes were no more. Some pornstars have gained followers from Facebook or Twitter even after they announced their retirements from the industry. I follow three and converse regularly with them about non-porn topics. Some want to still be in contact with their fans after retiring even if it is "small talk". And some like Tara Ashley in her post just up from this post, have the good grace and the manners to thank their fans for their support throughout their careers. Add Lana Rhoades to the list, she isn't shooting professional porn anymore as mutliple times reiterated by her on her social media, and is now only doing Snapchat stuffs (I dunno how exactly to categorize this though, do we call it retirement, do we call it semi retirement? Since some do not consider Snapchat porn and some do). Oh and Kylie Page who I though had retired is back now...seems to have taken some months hiatus.
