pornography wasn't sex but fantasies of an impossibly hospitable world

I've always liked black women in porn and found there were many underappreciated beauties who never or rarely ended up shooting for the bigger gonzo companies (eg. Toni Sweet). I think the economic freefall the industry is in must be playing a role, WCP, Black Ice, Badadunk and other black themed series and producers seem to have slowed or disappeared entirely.
Similar to Hollywood, where they seem to become fixated on one black actor for a period (eg. Samuel Jackson, Jamie Fox), plug them into every token black role in films for a fee years before moving on, there seems to be a tendency to have one or two 'mainstream' black performers (eg. Jada Fire, Marie Luv in the past, more recently Skin and Misty Stone) but the majority seem to only be hired for supposedly 'niche' black on black titles. The same is true for Asian performers, look at how much work London Keyes and Asa Akira got as the go-to girls for years (and I'm a big fan of both of them btw). Only recently are you seeing new asian women performers rising to prominence.
Why the likes of Roxy Reynolds wasn't booked like crazy is beyond me.
I don't buy the black girls aren't nasty enough argument, loads of top performers like Sunny Lane, Alexis Texas, Nautica Thorn, etc got through long careers with barely any anal scenes let alone the extreme stuff so I don't think being nasty is essential to success in porn.

Same here , I mean I like hot girls , race is not important to me, but I'm extremely disappointed when some stars aren't booked enough there's a number of black girls who are simply stunning , beautiful I may say.
For the second part quoted I think the same , it's not true , I mean do you remember Monique, Janet Jacme or Midori ? They were some hot nasty girls not to mention Jeannie Pepper , Monique had one on best shaped asses ever seen and she gave it up often did lots of DPs too.
Plus India, Meka Johnson and the kinkiest of all Hipnotiq who not only was as nastier as any nasty white performer , was even nastier than most of them , she had a stunning marvellous body a gorgeous ass and was keen to get double analized.
I really can't understand how she didn't become much bigger.
Anyway I like those who aren't so wild , I like a lot Misty Stone , like a lot Ivy Sherwood and many others who don't do anal nor nasty thing , it doesn't matter they are beautiful

Agree that's it's not the race but the girl I'm attracted to. I do like a nice but though and obviously black women performers often have either big butts or nice bubble butts, that's one reason I found myself picking up black on black titles a lot.

Yeah, people obsess too much over anal to the point of insulting performers who don't do it.
Looks like they shot at least 10 scenes for the site, so looking forward to it.

According to some hints and unofficial statements from Dogfart they shot much more than just 10 scenes those are for the launch but next update will be Layton Benton.
They have a scene with Megan Vaughn yet to be released or so it seem, Jezebel Vessir already worked with them for GH initiation likely they shot more , they discovered a couple of new starlets very promising Nikki Ford and another called Ashton they have a Deanna Trump scene to release and many others I don't even remember , ALL of them are from very attractive to drop dead gorgeous

I like a lot of the new black pornstars but for me I were missing some of those SUPER thick black pornstars like we had in the mid-2000s, like Cherokee, Pinky, and Roxy Reynolds.

Fred,
Did you ever read Black Tail Magazine?
I first discovered Angel Eyes there.
Why did they stop publishing BT?

I'm not going to sift through this entire thread as it's waaaayy to long at this point, but this there definitely some truth to this.
So much so that one of the first black porn movies I ever watched, (which sort of got me hooked on black porn) was called "black girls get nasty too" directed by Justin slayer. When you have to advertise on your title that are some black girls that are willing to do the things white women (or other women) will do, it could be an indicator of why there's a lag in the progression and popularity.

....someone here actually uttered the words "Rihanna isn't black". Wow..... Anyways. I saw an interview with Jodi Taylor before an interracial scene, where she said her agent and practically everyone who initially spoke to her when she first got into porn, told her "not to do interracial". She then said, after a while she thought about how idiotic that was and decided to just start banging black guys. The industry is racist. Accept it. It'll change only when it has to. Just like white starlets who suddenly start doing interracial when their booking drops. Honestly, if i were a performer and some gal wouldn't work with me because of my skin color, i would black list her. Even if she one day was like "ok lets do a scene". I'd tell her to fuck off.

^^I find it bizarre to the extreme that IR is still discouraged even after the wild success of so many pornstars who regularly filmed IR.

A lot of black female performers are much hotter than some of the most popular white females, so it's a shame to not see them get as many scenes. Megan Vaughn is one of the sexiest girls with the nicest bodies, unfortunately didn't shoot too many scenes.

I think it's an old mindset from he old days of porn. Plus, some agents/pornstars/people just feel that IR is something a girl turns to later in her career or it's a big deal and it needs to exploited properly at the right time or doing IR doesn't fit the image of a certain type of pornstar. For example...Lisa Ann is a big name pornstar and Jesse Jane is a big name pornstar but they're two very different types of pornstars with two very different audiences. Lisa Ann's popularity is helped by IR...Jesse's wouldn't be helped in the same way by doing IR as long as she's with DIGITAL PLAYGROUND becaus that's a different audience that Lisa's Gonzo fans.

^Well, that suggests that at least part of the time it's a business decision, which is certainly preferable than it being a matter of simple racism.

I don't know if there's such thing as "simple racism". Even if a girl doesn't want to have sex with someone of another race (including black girls who don't want to have sex with white guys) that doesn't mean they hate that race or are bad people or looks at that race or doesn't have friends with people of that race. There are lots of people draw their line in the sand at different places. Some people may be good friends with people of another race but wouldn't want their kids to marry into that race. Some people dislike a race to the point they don't even want to be around them. There are different levels of "racism" within people. Some might not even know they feel that way until they're confronted with certain situatations.
As far as white girls who don't do IR in porn...I've always gotten the feeling that the majority of those who don't do it don't because of others not wanting them to. Not because of their own personal feelings.

^I was referring to the possible racism of agents. As to the rest of what you wrote, I agree that there are different degrees of racism. Most white racists in America would not identify as such. They view the Klan and other similar groups negatively and many of them would never dream of saying the n-word. Nonetheless, they feel that blacks in general are basically lower than whites. They're moderate racists, but racists nonetheless. Of course their being moderate racists doesn't necessarily prevent them from being nice people. My father is a nice person, a kind, gentle man who raised me as a single father. He's also a moderate racist. To be clear, I'm not suggesting that pornstars who don't shoot IR are probably moderate racists, though I'd venture a guess that at least a few of them are in a situation in which they feel beholden to the racist views of their family or boyfriend.

Yeah, well...For lots of fans it doesn't matter what the reason is. Many claim to want to know why a girl doesn't do IR but any answer given will never be good enough and they brand the girl a "racist" if the girl hasn't done IR. If it's a business decision they put the girl down for making that decision and start up that ridiculous arguement that a girl shouldn't hold out for more money. If the girl says her parents/boyfriend/agent doesn't want them to do it some fans will claim that the girl should ignore those people she actual knows and listen to the fans. If a girls says she wants to but waiting for someone to offer her, fans get impatience and decide shes lying about the whole thing...as if a girl simply shows up to set and demands to do a IR scene.
No answer is ever good enough. No matter how many girls actually do IR some fans will find the ones that don't and badger them. When a girl finally does do IR some fans will still put her down because they didn't do it soon enough for them and will say the girl is only doing it out of desperation. If a girl doesn't do IR with the "right" guy some fans will claim the guy isn't black enough or that they don't like that performer so he doesn't count.
Pornstars should be aware of what their fans want but should always do what they feel is best for themelves and their careers. Trying to please a bunch of strangers with their particular demands and probably don't pay for the porn they watch away is a incredible waste of time. Why try bending over backwards to please them? Most of them are just waiting for an excuse to put them down anyway.

^^There's no question that many IR fans are very aggressive and disrespectful with their demands. There are several pornstars who I'd like to see shoot IR, but I wouldn't dream of harassing them about it or constantly bringing up the subject. No pornstar owes me an IR scene. On the other hand, I wish that pornstars who don't ever intend to do IR would simply say directly that they don't want to do it instead of offering up poor excuses. I have little patience for "I'm not attracted to black guys, but Ron Jeremy is freaking hot and guys who share a complexion with some blacks but aren't considered 'black' are great too!" and other ridiculous responses to questions about IR. If you can't give a sensible answer it is better to just keep quiet.
Actually I have to admit that I too have very little respect for that excuse. For someone to basically say "Well, my parents are racist so I have to go along with them on that" pretty much guarantees that I'm not going to sympathize with them. I'd rather a pornstar keep quiet about their reasons for not doing IR than publicly aligning themselves with racists. Even still, I wouldn't harass such a pornstar about her choice like so many others are inclined to.

If they say they don't intend to IR fas will immedieately brand them racist and then start demanding to know why the girl refuses to do it. It will become the topic of every interview like what happened to Alexis Texas. All it will do is bring more attention to it and possibly turn off the people who didn't care otherwise before. It would just invite all sort of unwanted problems so why say they they don't intend to do? Plus there's always the chance the girl might actually do it at some point if the right offer and guy comes along. I'm sure there are pornstars that at one point had no plans to do IR but things in their life change and they decide to do it.

It's not about being "racist" because of parents/friends/boyfriends...it's about maintaining your relationship with them. When things go bad or they need support those are the people they have to turn to...not the faceless porn fans who are so quick to decide they aren't fans of the girl anymore the second the girl doesn't do what they want.

I mean if they are asked by an interviewer, not that they should just bring up the issue at random or volunteer the information. I'd rather hear them say something like "No, my career's been good without it so far and people seem to like what my I'm doing now so I don't have any plans to do IR." When they choose to tack on a very fake sounding excuse like the one I used in my earlier comment they're not doing themselves any favors. They'll get backlash either way from the zealots, sure, but if they give an impersonal answer like the one I just used rather than something like "My parents are racists, and I'm loyal to my parents" I think that the backlash would be at least a little less.
The excuse I used as an example leaves that option open, as perhaps would any excuse crafted along the same line.
I don't mean to say that they should damage or break their relationships with their parents/friends/boyfriends for the sake of porn consumers. I'm talking about who these people are as human beings. It's way beyond porn for me. If someone, anyone, says that they feel an obligation to maintain the racist worldview of their parents/friends/partners in how they live their lives, I can't respect that. That said, no one needs me to respect them and I'm in no place to demand that anyone exchange their own value system for mine. That's exactly why I wouldn't rant against some of these pornstars like others do. They have a right to their own morals, I just happen to think that those morals suck.

How many girls today that don't do IR have done scenes with Ron Jeremy though? I guess it depends, if she does scenes with every white guy but not with black maybe her excuse is BS, but I've met people who are only attracted to one race, no matter how uglier a specific person of that race could be.
If say a black girl said she doesn't do white guys because she's not attracted to them yet does a scene with an overweight, uglier looking (to certain people) black guy, would you think the same, that her excuse is BS?

^There's one performer in particular I had in mind when writing, but several pornstars who've given the attraction excuse over the years have indeed shot with Ron Jeremy (it's been discussed here in the past). Note that those who use this particular excuse are not claiming that they are only attracted to one race. Instead, they are implying that they only shoot with people to whom they are attracted and that they aren't attracted to any black men.
Would this hypothetical black performer convincingly appear to be attracted to the male in the scene? Some of the pornstars whom I'm thinking of will shoot a scene with Ron Jeremy in which it is clear that they are going through the motions and just getting the job done.

It wouldn't. The backlash would end up being pretty much exactly the same. The truth of the matter is that the people that are reasonable enough to accept that answer and move on are the people who are rational enough not to get angry and rant at the girls in the first place. You think that it's an exaggeration that they can't win no matter what the answer, but it really isn't. To bring up an absolutely perfect example of how irrational this anger actually is, you had people getting mad at Keisha Grey after she said that she shot 2 IR scenes because they didn't believe her (and thought she was referring to a WF/AM scene as interracial), only for her scenes to be some of the first that came out once Blacked.com debuted. So you can literally have already shot the scenes and still have people mad because no one has posted definitive proof of them.

Fair enough, that makes sense.
The reason I ask is for example, Mark Wood is someone considered unattractive by a lot of people, so if a sexy girl refused to do black guys but did him, some people might bring up the logic you used when talking about Ron Jeremy. But then, Francesca Le ended up getting married to the guy, and she's probably one of the hottest pornstars I've ever seen, so looks are very dependent on the person so I wouldn't judge someone on that excuse (although Ron Jeremy is probably the exception lol).
I wasn't really thinking about whether the black performer would appear to convincingly enjoy it simply because these girls are paid to make the scenes look good so looking like you're enjoying it doesn't mean you are (I believe a lot of posters here talked about how Jenna Haze didn't enjoy a single scene she ever did or something like that, I could be wrong though). The black performer thing I was talking about, I mean you take as the same way you would the Ron Jeremy thing.

^Though there are some pornstars who throw me off because they are such expert performers (a lot of the East Europeans are especially good at this), most pornstars provide some obvious indicators during a scene that make it clear to me whether or not there is any real heat between the people performing.
I strongly agree that attractiveness is subjective, but I've also seen many more pornstars enjoying sex with Mark Wood than with Ron Jeremy. Pornstars who opt against IR don't really owe anyone an explanation and can give any excuse they like (or none at all), but they shouldn't expect people to take an evidently nonsensical excuse seriously.

Something tells me there are not a lot of Black people working in the front offices so they don't know what is good to people looking for Black females. There is no way a person who knows what is hot wouldn't book Ana Foxx, Megan Maze, Serena Ali, Harley Dean more and Jade Aspen is the hottest girl in porn she could be doing mainstream tv. By the time companies diversify most of the actress will have left the business and consumers will be the losers.

I don't think there's a whole lot of what you describe happening though. I honestly think for the majority of the girls in porn who don't do it banging a black guy isn't that big a deal and they'd do it if they they didn't fear getting grief from their parents/boyfriends/friends or the agent who insists they don't do it. I think the excuses some girls give are lame because they realize it's kinda silly but they have to keep the peace.
Don't you find it kinda strange that a girl will not do IR for years then suddenly out of nowhere it becomes a regular thing? Doesn't it make much more sense to think that they suddenly got a new agent or boyfriend that doesn't care if they do it than think they were somehow "racist" all that time and then suddenly the racism in them just went away?
Also, remember there are lots of stories out there of girls who won't do IR on camera but do it in their personal life. To me that says they don't want their IR sex to be on film where those around them that disapprove won't have proof as to what she's doing.

"Attraction" for most women goes farther/deeper than looks.
Also, I'm not a Ron Jeremy fan but there are reasons that go beyond his looks why pornstars will bang him. Ron has a charm about him that makes people like him. I don't see it as charm but it doesn't matter because others seem to fall for it. Tabitha Stevens, Christy Canyon and others claim to like having sex with Ron on and off camera because they like him and he's supposedly fun. Other girls would or have done him because he's a porn icon. It's like a young girl doing Mick Jaggar where they aren't physcially attracted to him but they are attracted to the thought of banging an icon/superstar.

^Mick Jagger and other people like him have charisma, confidence, etc. It's more than him just being an entertainer. The late Notorious BIG for example was a ladies man even before being famous. I myself have had relationships with men who I wouldn't have been attracted to if they hadn't started talking or dancing. As for Ron Jeremy, while I don't doubt that there are pornstars who enjoy having sex with him that doesn't change the fact that some of the pornstars I am thinking of do not appear to actually be attracted to him. Furthermore, it is not as if Ron is the only man they've worked with who've they seemed indifferent to. Do they really only shoot with men whom they're attracted to? How many of them can afford to be that picky in reality? And why are they okay shooting with guys who have the same complexion as some supposedly unattractive black guys?

^^^To me such people are personally legitimizing the racist views of their family, lover, friends, or whoever else by declaring their intention to abide by those racist views. I'd say this is true even if in secret they don't personally adhere to racist ideology. Acting like a racist when you're actually not one seems cowardly to me. If my partner told me tonight that she'd break up with me unless I gave up black men, we'd be done. Some pornstars have handled that sort of situation differently but later after their relationship ended went on to film numerous great IR scenes. In any case I wouldn't troll any of these pornstars over how they choose to live their life.

Sorry folks I am not gonna talk about Ron Jeremy or Mark Wood, these folks are good guys but I am not attracted to them. Not even about interracial ethics. In porn lots of these theories go down the drain.
I am gonna talk about those beautiful dark skinned creatures who were and still are decorating my screen.
One of my all time favorite interracial series was Michael Stefano's Feeling Black. This guy worshiped his black female partners and it was evident in every scene. Who can blame him or Robert de Niro.
About black starlets...What to remember
Marie Luv performance,
Hypnotique nastiness,
Jenna Brooks prettiness,
Caramel,
Sinnamon Love,
Mone Divine,
Vanessa Monet,
Alexis Silver
and many many others...
But what about the new blood...
Lavish Styles. Look at her body!!! Wow!!!
Lavish1.jpg
Bethany Benz. Or this body...Wow!!!
Bethany1.jpg
Diamond Jackson.
Anya Ivy,
Jade Aspen...
Wow!!!
KKK member and racial supremacy theories my ass... Now really folks is there any real man who wouldn't have a boner if he saw one of these creatures I mention above naked next to him.
Now if these colorful ladies or many others like them, have problem to pair with a white guy... (which from what I know they don't) just arrange a black guy damn it, who cares, just let them shake their booties in our screen.
So dear directors pay attention, we really want more brown color in our screens...
PS. I am a white guy and I used to have a black girlfriend. I am telling you black pussy is really tasty.

Meanwhile... Explore Sexuality!

^lol victimhood. "classically black woman built" was never 'mainstream' it was a niche because it was into the direction of BBW. Lean girls up to Keisha Grey body types(which are very rare because they're natural and still in shape despite the 'thickness'), that's about the limit for the vast majority of consumers.

^ Pretty much. Plus where are these white women who are built like Cherokee D'Ass and Beauty Dior("Classically built black women") that are being celebrated that he is talking about? I guess maybe you could say Kelly Divine a couple years ago but that is just one example.
Of course the Misty Stones and Chanell Hearts of the world are going to do best because they fall into that range and are hot women by any standard. Pretty much applies to women of all types.
I say this as someone who is actually a fan of some of the ladies he is talking about but it's just common sense what is happening.

^Yes and I think he's trying to claim thicker than average women are supposedly 'black women body types' which is ridiculous. White and latin women have always had plenty of big assed, wide hipped types too and they always had fans even when the skinny look was in. They don't hold some kind of copyright on body types.

Was Billy Holliday plus-sized? Was Althea Gibson?
The idea that the model for black women in American culture is plus-sized probably comes more from Hollywood stereotyping than it does from reality. Granted, there were big black women, but there were big white women, too. I suspect that much of that was down to having a lot of babies - you get in the habit of eating for two.
Of course, taking a diet developed to keep farm hands going and continuing to eat that food, in the same quantities, when working less demanding jobs didn't help.

And, while we're at it, mainstream depictions are evolving (thank God)...

regardless of parentage, it becomes clear that some people have some serious racial anxiety issues when they say that skin diamond isn't black......

Hollywood stereotyping? Um, I think rap/hip-hop has more to do with it than anything else.
