Hangs up... and looks at me and says.. "Porn whores their all the same, I mean it.. I'll fucking take her out in the desert myself if I don't get my money back... Ok sorry what were we talking about now". Was I supposed to be impressed? Over heard another studio owner talking to one of his in house directors... He's screaming at him... "Tear those whores up, we don't want any soft shit... It don't sell.. if their assholes ain't bleeding you ain't doing it right. I'm telling you man better tear those whores up... You're no fucking choirboy. Bring good shit back" Yep another class act. Than there are the personal stories from the girls themselves... I could spend all night telling what I've learned over the years.. if you think it's all cupcakes and roses... ya better think again honey. Now...following that line of reasoning...you are much further up the chain than "we" are. You, as part of your business(es), are actually either selling porn or directly promoting it for sales purposes. As such, you are knowingly (not unwittingly) and intentionally a much larger part of the problem (as Lubben would see it). If one buys into Lubben's arguments, you would be knowingly profiting off of these actresses being hurt -- either directly or indirectly. Is this incorrect? So, please enlighten us as to how it is that you can support Lubben's ideology and can have had such an epiphany and yet still go to work every day. I am very curious as to how this moral compartmentalization occurs. PS -- I don't buy into Lubben's ideas. Clearly, life isn't always roses...but the pictures that are being painted by her appear quite over the top and exaggerated.

Nothing hypocritical going on here... My store has gradually evolved into catering to women and couples mostly... Racka and racks of lingerie and sexy items. That is why I called it a boutique. It is. It's not a jerk off pit stop... Just because young girls allow this to happen to themselves or get paid to get abused doesn't make it right... Unfortunately most 18-20 year old girls are still kids and think porn is glamorous. Some of it is... most is not. The girls tell me this themselves... and very famous ones. There are absolutely no uniform health guidelines in place for these women. The majority of porn directors and companies are not professional filmmakers or even qualified businessmen for that matter... Just a collective bunch of society's misfits and renegades. STD's are rampant. That is a fact... That must change. For years now gonzo companies have been very rough and extreme in their treatment of the girls... that's a fact. Drug use and abuse is rampant amongst porn girls... That's a fact... The porn business has been on thin ice for many many years and can't be responsible enough to clean up its own act. In all honesty, the video looked ridiculous and actually took on a pro-wrestling, back-stage kind of feel...and only made Lubben look foolish instead of intelligent. It weakened her credibility, in my opinion. Regardless, since you have said that you like Vivid (so do I -- very much), you would be in direct opposition to Lubben on this item...and she would likely consider you to be a big part of the problem. This is much like she considers "us" (fans) to be a part of the problem. I would recommend that if you are going to align yourself publicly with people with extreme positions (such as Lubben) that you make sure that you agree with them on the key issues first. Their views are "extreme" for a reason, after all. Also from your post, I will take it that you sell absolutely no DVD's in your stores that have even a hint of an actress potentially being mistreated in them. Is this correct? Also note that even if you sell only the high-end, non-gonzo companies' material, you still fall into being at least as big a part of the "problem" in Lubben's ideology as do the fans.
