Two years back we made the jump to 4K. The only site that beat us to it was Naughty America. We tried to be first out of the gate but they have deeper pockets than we do! lol We started with 4K in early 2014 on Bryci.com and then once we saw the fans were loving it, we bumped it to all of our sites. My thinking was, sure... less than 1% of our members have a 4K screen according to our server stats, but in time, that will change. Last month I checked and 12% now have 4K screens. The number is rising as 4K screens come down in cost. I was hoping when someone finds us down the road, they join because we have 4K content but then when they see we have 2 years of 4K content, with weekly updates from multiple girls, it makes them happier. Our next jump will be to shooting with RED cameras, 4K, 60fps sort of thing. We're not there yet though, those cameras are insanely expensive!
Their 4K scenes are really good quality. Although, they also appear to boast scenes shot in 60fps. This is not found on the 4K videos though - lower HD qualities only. If only they implemented the two together.
I absolutely love DogFart's content and I am aware that you have been filming in 4K for some time. However, to my knowledge, you are not releasing the scenes in 4K quality, downscaled to 1080p resolution. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I would rejoin DogFart in a heartbeat if their scenes were being released in 4K (2160p) resolution. Assuming 1080p is still the highest resolution available on the site, will scenes be released in full 4K quality any time soon?

4k looks awesome but makes you run out of th drive space. In need of 50TB drives.
There has been a suggestion on their own forums from an employee, that 4K and VR are both coming to Brazzers. This could be a game changer! Just hope 4K comes soon.

Hi guys, great topic! I've read through the majority of the posts and found a lot of help however I'm still struggling to play the 4K Naughty America files via USB through my TV Can anyone help me with a few things.. I've recently just subscribed to Naughty America, and have a 4K TV (UHD) whereby I want to download 4K videos, transfer to a USB stick, then play on the TV. Basically my TV's native resolution is 3840 × 2160, but the videos are 4096 x 2160. After numerous attempts to get the files to play, I'm starting to believe that the resolution is too big for my TV which is why the videos won't play. I have checked the video format which is Mp4 and the frame rate etc is ok which I also checked on the TV's specification for file format compatability. The USB drive itself is formatted to NTFS, as I cannot use FAT32 as maximum file transfer size for FAT32 is 4GB and the videos on Naughty America are over 5GB.Can anyone advise on why the TV is not playing these files? My TV model is: Philips 40pus6809/12 Many thanks for any input in advance :)
Thanks for the heads up. I just visited Tushy to see that they are indeed offering 4K from their current latest scene onwards. I'd like to think they would offer their older scenes in 4K too, but that is currently unknown. Blacked does not appear to be advertising 4K on their website, so unsure if they are offering the same. With them both being Greg Lansky productions, you would have thought they would be offering 4K.
^It looks like both Blacked and Tushy are just temporarily down. Although, you should know that only a couple of scenes have been released in 4K so far (which are downloadable), but Blacked had a serious issue with their last 4K scene (Marley Brinx) and neither site appear to have released anything since in that format. If you're joining purely for the 4K content, I would hold on for a while until we are sure that they will be releasing regular 4K scenes, or at least go back to upgrade past updates.
I just saw one of DDF's recent 4K scenes - it's awful. Extremely grainy, only 15k data rate. It's even worse than Naughty America's '4K' scenes. PerfectGonzo appear to be the best atm just as they were when they switched to 1080p, followed by Jules Jordan and Lubed (because of the 60fps vids), and Bangbros' new 1080p vids are almost look like 4K quality. 21Sextury need to get their act together, their new website is rubbish, and their video quality now looks dated. Although the videos still look good, Jules Jordan recently downgraded the quality of their 4K videos. Going from around a 30k bitrate, to 15k. They certainly don't look as good at all. Although, if you raise this with them, they just get touchy and say it's not all about bitrate - which is true, but it is still important. RIP Jules Jordan.

Are any of the companies making short 4K content? Seems like there might be a niche for it, given that 4K TVs are pretty cheap now but plenty of people still have relatively slow internet and/or may not have enough storage space for enormous files.
Vawkes, not everyone has a fast enough speed, even with a fast speed it would still take an hour to download, we have great compression in a reasonable size. Your constant complaining is very annoying, you should move on to complaining about 8k not being available yet.
Why did you offer such high quality 4K videos to begin with then? You had been releasing true quality 4K for over a year before the change. I'm honesty not trying to be an ass and annoy you. Seriously. I'm just really disappointed as a customer and loyal fan that this change was made without consideration for the fortunate members who don't have an issue with internet speeds, or who do not mind waiting for such a high quality download. I just think 4K videos should have remained how they were. If people haven't got the patience or capability of downloading such large files, then 4K shouldn't be for them at this time. Surely they should suffice with a 1080p/720p version if they're so worried about their hard drive capacities. I would question whether some of these people even have a 4K screen to watch the files properly. 4K should not suffer in quality, just to accommodate more viewers.
As 4K becomes 'standard', and HDR becomes available, and screen sizes of 60"+ with at least 4K becomes even more common... I suspect that people will care more about bit rate, lack of compression artifacts, and post processing. It just makes more sense to finally focus on those quality measures rather than technical specs, when the specs are so high to begin with. That's when studios will probably have to swallow the bandwidth and storage costs because the no 1 factor there will be abundance of bitrate (which proportionally impacts file size), as long as the shooting and editing was done competently.
The drop in bitrate is evident. There's no real difference between 1080p and 4K other than the resolutions. You should at least give members the option to download the higher bitrate 4K scenes, even if at a premium (I would pay more for higher quality).
With all due respect, if people don't have the speed to download a true 4K scene, then tough luck. 1080 video sizes are still big in their own right (about 2GB on average). It's a poor reason IMO. If you're releasing 4K videos, do it properly, don't skimper on quality just because you think some people might have difficulty downloading the videos. Next to them go very high quality 1080 videos anyway, and I don't know about the US, but fibre optic is pretty much the norm around Europe now. Also, speaking of 4K video quality - why on earth do alot of these companies release the scenes at 4096×2160 res? It leaves annoying black bars on the tops and bottoms of the video, and 99% of PC and TV owners on 4K have a screen at the dominant standard 384 hex 2160. Again, this is where PerfectGonzo excel. What they lack in quantity they more than make up for in quality. They've left everyone else in the dust and are the standard bigger companies like NaughtyAmerica and JulesJordan should be looking too.
^ Exactly. Previously, a standard 4K scene from JulesJordan.com of around 7/8gb in size, would take around 20 minutes maximum to download for me. My internet connection is nothing special either. This change to 4K at JJ is like; August Ames being your wife, then overnight she is swapped with Caitlyn Jenner, and you're told to just get on with it because they're the same thing. They most certainly are not.
Not going to say much here because I said all I have to say in Jules thread and you can read his ridiculous, insulting replies to me saying that I should be happy he gives us 4k scenes at all and shut up. The lower quality in Jules 4k scenes is very evident, and instead of acknowledging this, all he does is insults anyone that brings it up. As can be seen in his thread over the years I had many positive responses and was a fan of Jules, also have a ton of his old DVD's, but it is clear he does not really have much respect for his 'fans' if you look at all his replies to anyone that has any sort of criticism. He will no longer see a $ from me.Completely ludicrous statement, I have a very fast internet connection and it only took me about 15-20 minutes to download your previous good quality 4k vids, I only downloaded a few lowered quality ones before I let my membership expire and they took about 10 minutes.
The most apparent difference I see, are the lines/curves of the performers' bodies not being as sharp as they used to be. Then there are the smaller details such as skin complexion, nipples, holes etc not being as sharp and clear as they once were. Another good indicator of the change in quality is body hair, such as above a girl's pussy, or on a male performer's chest or leg - particularly when the camera is further away. Previously this used to be so clear that it felt like you were actually in the same room. Now it tends to be much more distorted and just blends in like a lower picture quality. I also believe there is a slight hint of noise/grain noticeable in skin tones too, which was not previously there. I know to anyone who hasn't ever experienced or appreciated the full potential of 4K resolution will think this is all madness, but we're all different. Some people are hoarders who just collect as much porn as they can, so need files to be relatively small. Then there is the other type of collector, who collects more selectively, looking for the highest quality available in terms of picture and content. Hoarders will always be accommodated as they can choose a lower resolution, suitable for their hard drive availability. For those being more selective in regard to quality have no choice, but to accept the best available at that particular site, or move on until they find somewhere that ticks both boxes. A couple of months ago, JulesJordan did. Currently, it does not - which is a massive shame. Seriously, if the exact same video quality was being replicated in a smaller file size, then I would have zero complaints. Why would I want to have a larger file size just for the hell of it? Unfortunately, the 4K quality has dipped. It's nothing terrible of course, but now there seems to be little improvement from your standard 1080p file - which is a credit to yourself for putting such good quality 1080p content out there in the first place. Myself and others who are fortunate enough to have a 4K set-up, just want to use its full potential, like 4K JulesJordan videos once were. Jules, we are not your enemies. There are few other studios I would rather watch from than JulesJordan. We love your work and the fact that you had been a pioneer in releasing true 4K quality. It is because of this, why we feel so passionate about viewing and collecting your content in the highest quality possible.
What I typically notice with low bitrate is "smudging" compression artifacts in areas with similar color gradients (typically skin with pores/hair). I can't speak for the videos in question here, but that's my general experience.

I agree about the Naughty America 4K videos. They look soft and smudgy and like they're upscaled from 1080p. Also, the watermark on the 4K videos is double the size.
Interestingly it says the site is powered by 'Wankz', but looks very much like something from a European teen megasite. Another new site which could be awesome is http://analized.com/. Many people are content with tube site quality so they can fit as much porn as they can on a single hard drive, they would never download 4k or even 1080P quality scenes and thus would never notice or care about the decrease in Jules 4k video quality. We just tested different 4k in our office, and like I thought, no one can tell the difference, it looks great! I'm really happy that with lots of the new 4k tv's its amazing to plug in a drive and watch in glorious 4k, I encourage everyone to try it out! Keep in mind your hard drive will have to be formatted for pc to be recognized.
