How so Kami? Are you making a comment about the forcibility of sex acts in the porn industry? I've been in bad situations in my own business life before where I found myself being coerced into doing things that I didn't want to do. I walked away, even with the threat of being "blackballed" in my industry. It cost me money, it cost me "reputation" and it cost me some degree of pride to do so. But it wasn't worth lowering my own standards to profit.

Unless you are making claims of coercion, I don't see your point.

dang but your aggressive :)
my point is it's very easy to say what you would do in some one else's shoes but the bottom line is your not. I know I have reacted differently in emergency situations than I thought I would, my brother was in an accident and when I called 911 I couldn't talk. If you had asked me prior how I would have dealt with it that would not have been my answer.

I think the natural reaction to attack her for complaining is really sad, especially if you are familiar with her body of work and realize she has never spoken out before.

earlier in the thread some one said walk and speak out people will support you but the reality is this thread.

Naw, I'm as gentle as they come. :)

And please don't mistake my claims as "attacks" upon her. In fact, my entire issue is how quickly everyone gravitates to blame Steven French. In fact that's the name of this thread. Even Alex herself has accepted blame for her part in the debacle....and it was indeed a bad situation.

And you are right, you can't always judge how someone will act given a certain situation. All I ever ask of someone is that they take RESPONSIBILTY for their own actions, or inactions as the case may be. Alex has, as far as I'm concerned, that's the end of the story from her side. Haven't heard anything from Steven French and for all I know of the guy he doesn't speak english and didn't understand a word that was being said to him.

I just find it interesting how quickly the anger in situations like this turn to "blaming" the male actor, the director, the producer and males in general. They certainly own their share of the blame...but ONLY their share. Not all of it.

Wow just watched the trailer....whats the point of filming that? Do ppl like that type of stuff? Kinda gotta blame producers, directors, and the actors including female actors for being stupid to participate in that movie.

Personally I think taking on emergency of a loved one and walking out on a porn shoot are a little different, but I understand where Kami and Alex are coming from.

And Kami, please don't take my comments as attacks either. I'm just pointing out what I see and agree (with some others) that Steve isn't the only one to blame.

And I'll say it again, in case it was missed by anyone, I wish Alex the best. No woman should have to be punched to make money in the porn industry.

first of all, try to sign the release end of the shoot, second, dont give any id until end of the shoot, and 3rd, get a good manager, so when they beat the crap out of you, or anything else happens during a scene that you dont agree with no matter how many papers you signed, so you can call him, and let him deal with it.

and anyone in their right mind would walk out of a set if you can not come to an agreement, like others said, she might have said yes to a beating, but not on that side, well im sorry but 1 punch on the side i specifically said not to punch, he will get a punch so hard back, he will never forget which side not to hit. and if you dont like violence, well then you shouldnt be there in the first place, and you should talk to him after the first punch, and leave after the second. But let him beat you, and then do the pop again because you looked to much in pain on camera??????

to cry about it afterwards you can do at home, not in public if you did nothing to stop it.

we all do things we might not be to happy about afterwards, but we are adults and can stop things when we want to.

Wholly apart from the matter of coercion and who is right about what exactly happenend in this particular scene, if Yankey Doodel is right (as I believe his is, based on what I found on the net - see below) this kind of act shouldn't be allowed, period.

From Wikipedia:
Donkey punch is a slang term for a sex move performed during doggy style or anal sex. The move involves the penetrating partner punching the penetrated partner in the back of the head or neck. The term may refer to the surprised party "bucking" like a donkey.

(...)

In reality, punching someone in the back of the head (rabbit punching) can damage the brain stem, causing death or permanent injury. It is illegal in professional boxing for this reason. The donkey punch may also be prosecutable as assault or sexual assault, in some jurisdictions even if consent is given. .

Think that was me, Kami mate.
Just to clear up i wasn't referring to people in or who closely follow the industry but the repercussions should it get to people or a person OUT of the industry.
Could do untold damage.

The whole idea of these kind of scenes to this extent is absolutely pointless and what kind of audience they intend to target can only set bad standards both inside and outside of the industry.

Porn can lose this 'my mum made me wear suspenders and now i want to hit girls' kind of guy whether star, director or whatvever as it has no place in porn.

The next steps from here are too dangerous not just in the industry and so it must stop now.
The direction porn has taken in the last 6 or 7 years is heading one way, to mayhem and a crisis point.

There are many angles to porn and always will be assuming their remain pioneers within it but this has no place in any part of life outside of a boxing ring let alone porn.
No producer can afford to pay a girl how much she should get for a single role of that variety for getting clubbed round the earhole.

Jameson and the like have a positive high profile outside the industry now but it only takes an eventual serious injury or fatality, which is inevitable the way things are heading, and all that we know and love will be brought to a screaching halt and porn reverts back to circa 1980.

I know of talent that has walked before the start of scene because they didn't like the guys they had to work with -- nothing more than that. It had no effect on their bookings.

So you get a "bad report card" on Porn Star Performance. Who cares? I wish Alex had got up and gone. She's been in the business for a while, and she's done some intense scenes. I doubt there would have been a backlash -- it's JM for Christ's sake, what? She's gonna miss her turn on "American Bukkake"?

Porn as we know it will cease to exist. Oh, the horror!

I think Kami's got the insight I would tend to trust on this discussion.
Anyway, glad Fiend found his precious clip. Happy jacking!

I have not posted on ADT for some time, but Jane brought this thread to my attention. We really enjoy watching porn, but this kind of thing makes us both so angry .... me violent, Jane bitter about the "way porn is and what it's all about".

For this poor girl, I am so sorry this happened to you and it makes me feel so culpable for being any part of it by providing my support to the industry.

To the people who control the industry, I say clean up your act and police your own .... take care of this studio and these directors before they bring the whole house down.

To the guy with the ring ..... I want you in a dark alley and I am going to make you beg before I jerk your balls off and stuff them up your ass. Please tell me where to meet you. Anybody tell me where to find him ... I absolutely fear no evil.

Thanks .... a peace lover who could be turned into a trained killer.

Cram & I would like to issue a public apology to Steven French. We regret the numerous death threats he has had to deal with since his participation in Donkey Punch. The man can't even buy a croissant in the mornings without being pelted with produce on the street by angry adt & reallukeford posters.

We only thank God, Alex is missing bone from her head and her soft brain provided cushion for Steven's punches. We couldn't live with ourselves if he had suffered any nerve damage on his hand. So, on behalf of Cram & myself, sorry, Steven. Oh, and don't worry, Cram says he knows a guy who can restore the luster to your gold ring.

What the hell is wrong with these guys??? I'm all about great sex and some rough stuff but it's acting and girls willing to do it and not be pushed into something so awful. I hate hearing this stuff it makes me so damn mad and makes our industry look like crap so clean it up guys and stop the circus acts and the jailhouse porn. If you want to beat someone or degrade women go to biker bar in Arkansas and marry a toothless hag who condones that type of behavior.

That was a freak accident, but had Vic been a stunt man, acceptable rick. You are correct that porn should be less violent than stunt work, but when you engage in rough acts, don't cry when the experiment goes wrong.

It's up to these girl to take control, and maybe that control is just saying enough. I hate rough sex, and have never enjoyed those types of works, but don't forget that The Twilight zone was R Rated. I'd suspect that the stunt in an R rated movie would be riskier than in a G rated movie. Guess you just might want to raise that bar a not for XXX.

When it gets too hot, get the fuck out the kitchen!

Actually, I believe 7th grade was all about going with "flock mentality" and blending in, sacrificing your own sense of self-recognition just so you can get along. Those that didn't agree with the status quo were outcasts and considered different enough to ridicule. Kind of like you judging from how you defend your posts while ridiculing anothers.

Y'know, I finally found myself agreeing with those who thought that I sounded like a condescending ass when I would chide fanboys & other viewers here on the board with a "you don't know what you're talking about because you're not here." So I'm not going to fall back on that too-easy blindside.

However, one doesn't need to be here in porn valley to figure out that the economic power in this industry is largely wielded by men, & a notable number of those attracted to this loaded deck have, to say the least, "issues" they're seeking to work out on whomever wanders haplessly into their path. Your defensiveness regarding your gender betrays at least some of your agenda.

You know, James, that thought has crossed my mind more than once -- however, I've stocked the quiver & am merrily filling the air with my arrows in the fond hope that the backlash might be more than they bargained for -- though I'm sure the cretins in question are touching themselves every time somebody expresses their outrage. I don't alas. I reckon it's just guys who got their arse fisted by their brother while sucking their mum's cock in suspenders that want to do this.

Look at the comment from earlier by someonje involved.
You can tell his arse was fisted big time when he was a kid.
Not much changed there i bet.

Been drinking so much of his mum's sperm it's coming out his fingertips when he types.

No place in porn for this and it will send the industry backwards if the wrong people outside of porn hear of it.

There is NO justificaton for it and will not be clearly written in any contract and that is the bottom line.

Oh I freely admit to having an "agenda" here Mr. Clark. Live a long and prosperous life and die before my retirement savings dry up. That's my agenda. Don't we all have an "agenda" in life? But just because I have an "agenda" doesn't mean it's anything that biases me towards believing one thing versus another when the facts of a situation are presented to me. The outcome of this really has no material impact in my life, it doesn't touch my agenda and therefore it matters little to me what happens or doesn't happen. Now my sense of "justice" may BIAS me to believe one thing versus another, just as yours will. But "agenda" and "bias" are two different things. Clearly I'm biased to believe in the culpability of an individuals actions. Your bias seems to be towards finding one party to vilify, in this case the male perpetrators of this act.

For example, by your admission, the industry has it's share of male ne'er-do-wells and miscreants. No argument there, show me an industry that doesn't. Are you one of these? Are you one of the "good guys?" How does your agenda impact how you portray yourself? How does your bias impact your own contributions to the porn world?

I'm hardly being defensive when I myself write that the men involved in this situation are to be blamed....just not 100% to be blamed. I believe Alex was to be blamed for her FAIR PORTION of participation in this movie as well as all the other actresses. Oh and Alex agrees with that sentiment, taking responsibility for her own participation in this movie by her own admission. Are you calling her a liar for claiming she is at least partially to blame?

I'm interested in YOUR agenda however. Why is it so difficult to accept that the actresses who agreed to participate in this movie also share in some of the blame? You portray them as victims and THAT, more than anything else, disturbs me greatly for the porn industry as a whole. For if female actresses truly are being coerced to participate in acts like this against their will....then I would be the first to join the crusade to eradicate this industry. But that's what the extreme right wing wants us to believe isn't it? Exactly what you are insinuating? That men like Steven French dominate the industry and that they are vicitimizing women for profit?

Unless that's how you view this industry, of course.

Since you have set yourself up as such an omnisicent arbiter of victim complicity, perhaps you can explain to me what "fair portion" of the blame Jews should take for pissing off the Third Reich?

As for me, my agenda is the same as if I were in the steel industry, the food service industry or the garment industry, & there were egrerious examples of worker-abuse going on.

Or were the lil gals of the Shirtwaist Triangle fire complicit in their own fate, as well, since nobody held a gun to their head & made them work in that factory ... the bitches did it for the money, right? All & all those labor reformists were nothing but sanctimonious, nosy, Captain-Save-A-Hos, yes?

So you liken the porn industry to the wholescale slaughter of races and classes under Hitler's regime? And also to the sweatshops of Indonesia?

Well the differences there for any rational individual are pretty easy to spot. The Jews (and others....many, many others) tried to actively escape their own destruction but were forcibly restrained from doing so via intimidation and mass imprisonment and killings. They were truly victims. If I remember the facts surrounding the Shirtwaist incident, those individuals were forcibly restrained from escaping the fire due to locked doors. Alex made none of these claims, unless your own evidence supports otherwise. She even claimed she got up and left and then came back of her own free will.

But thanks for so clearly demonstrating your OWN agenda with this post. ;)

Your lack of understanding of the basic amoral nature of capitalism & the blunt club of economic power -- always most easily wielded against the weakest members of society with the least options -- betrays that your agenda is formed by your own lack of political & social sophistication.

Have a nice day. I'm off to work, making porn that I'm beginning to think should be labeled, "no performers were deliberately harmed in the making of this film."

Heh, I think the person who lacks political and social sophistication is the pornographer who refuses to admit that their own income can be negatively impacted by such trends as portrayed in this movie.

But it's nice to see you attempt to take the "high road" here. It's a money agenda for you, nothing more, regardless of your claims to the contrary. Alex took blame for her actions, maybe it's time you admit to your own. Perhaps placing the disclaimer you jokingly referred to WOULD be a constructive place to start? Perhaps assembling the other "good guy" directors in your tradecraft to run the so-called "perpetrators" out of business would be something else? Perhaps offering the "victim" a lifetime of perpetual employment from you, free of pain and suffering?

No, I doubt you'll do any of the above. Because in the end, talk is cheap. Doing something negatively impacts your agenda.

It's ultimately the performer's responsibility to be aware of what the scene entails before shooting it. I'm sure previous Donkey Punch titles were easily accessible for viewing and consideration. She was given a choice to a do a movie that involves her being punched in the head, knowing the risks involved considering her prior medical history, she excepts the offer. If you don't like the way your talent is treating you on set or how the director is handling the situation, then walk off.

Also, I think all of this is a publicity stunt and Steven French is a very nice guy to work with.

Thanks Eduardo911.
I'm not normally into spoiling anyone's good time, but assuming this is real, I don't want to see any of the lovely porn ladies incur irreversible damage to their central nervous system over a couple thousand bucks or whatever they're getting paid to take shots to the cerebellum. As long as full grown men are throwing bare-knuckle punches at the back of ladies' heads there's about a 100% chance of an injury happening sooner or later; it may have happened already, neurological damage doesn't necessarily manifest immediately.
I can tell what the schtick is from reading one post and I'm already bored. But anyway, I can understand wanting to take the opportunity to be noticed through notoriety, but if one of these girls were to press charges, you know there would be a whole legal system lined up and waiting to run you through the ringer, right? Depending on where you live, assault with significant bodily harm is a felony that can land you in prison, not just county jail, and not just counting your time in weeks. And it doesn't help if it's sexually perpetrated on a female. How many prosecutors do you think would be salivating at the prospect of a jury trial if some cute little girl claimed to have recieved brain damage while being beaten on a porn set? And how is a typical jury going to react when they see the dude punching her in the fucking head right on the dvd? And what's your defense going to be if she's got medical verification of damage? Assuming any of it is real like I said.
Don't expect me to bite at whatever crass pieces of wit you respond with.

It matters not one iota what is in a contract or what someone willingly enters into.
It's all about the direction porn is taking in this line and what occurs in it has nothing even accidenatlly to do with sex or porn unless you are currently inside doing a 5 year stretch.

Someone doesn't have to be hit hard to be serously hurt, it's all about the moment in time when a blow occurs.

This is a tragedy waiting to happen and it should not take the death of a young starlet who did NOT sign a contract to get seriously hit on the skull to change the way things are heading.

Why doesn't someone try to come up with original clothing rather than leather/pvc and coloured fishnets in EVERY scene or something.

Try taking porn in another direction, one that doesn't involve hitting babes.

Thread of the week, for sure.

Though it all begins to get a bit Tawana Brawley, I hope Hillary Scott is right. The thing is, this scenario, if true, casts no one involved in a good light. And if it's not true, I'm not sure that it casts everyone in an even worse light. Midgets, reverse pee-kakes, 75-man cum slams, she-male gang bangs, alt-porn, even DAC POV scenes I can handle, even enjoy in some form, but, you know, smacking someone on their fontanelle for the sake of anonymous third party ejaculators is, Jesus, so fucking lame. Bring back the Wetbacks and let's sack 'em -- American Hardcore, all is forgiven!

Alex posed for publicity stills for this. She wasn't taken by surprise folks.

The closest Hollywood analogy I can think of is Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio flaking is the middle of shooting the resurrection scene in James Cameron's The Abyss . She's seen the script and knows what's in store, she knows what kind of actor Ed Harris is and how he approaches scenes ... yet when the shooting starts she flakes with the entire crew on the clock because it gets a little physical.

I can't figure what aspect of a Donkey Punch is supposed to be erotic, but then again that's true for most gonzo and feature releases. And as best as I can tell none of porn has anything to do with Real Life anyway, and more than mainstream Hollywood does.

And what has the one thing got to do with the other?

Maybe you should read her post before making an ass out of yourself for defending this kind of sexual assault.

Wow. Talk about clueless.

The violence is real. The girl doesn't expect the treatment she is going to get. This is a snuff movie.

Just because it makes your dick hard doesn't make it right.

BS. she said it herself, she knew it was "donkey punch". when you come on set knowing the movie's called donkey punch, you know what the fuck to expect.

im not saying it is right. but the girls know what they re getting into.

When i did "go fuck yourself 2" for CoffeeRon over a year ago, i knew i was in for some rough stuff.
and yes, i was bruised for several days after the shoot.
have i complained? have i asked for more money?
No. cause i knew beforehand what it would be like and agreed to do it.
And i actually worked again for Ron a couple of weeks later.
