Space BaLLS... LOVE IT a real classic... has some good sex scenes and does not take itself too serously and a great satire on Star Wars if you're a sci fi nut...
I Dream of Jenna... STUPID< STUPID, STUPID... nice costumes, nice scenery... lame sex and love making scenes with the exception of maybe 2... she's hot and has done some hot scenes before but this one was lame.
I have found that MIdSummer Nites Dream, sex satire on the Shakespear Play is not only very sexual but very erotic, if you can deal with the lame acting...
I really recommend Andrew Blake and Michael Ninn movies for couples, simply because women (okay, my wife) seem to notice production values a bit more than guys do. The sleazier the video looks, the less interested the woman usually is, I've found. Blake's stuff tends to be lesbo-centric and relatively soft, though, fair warning. It also usually has mild BDSM themes (from what I've seen, which is admittedly limited).
Angel X. There's a story and the sex scenes are hot, and can I say it, actually artistically shot. There seems to be genuine heat in some of the scenes. This is one of the best features I've ever seen... it doesn't hurt to be a Asia and Kaylani fan, either.
I finally got around to watching this one. I'd give it very high marks. The only negative, if there is one, is that it runs to something like 3 hours! Not that that's a bad thing.
If you go with stuff from Wicked you are usually safe. Their movies are fairly tame, and aimed towards couples. From what I've seen from there, I would say that Double Feature and M... Caught in the Act are good for comedies, and Indigo Delta is really good if you want something a little darker. (Big Serenity and Jonathan Morgan fan if you can't tell). Also, Angel X is good, and if you want more plot heavy, then I hear that Killer Sex and Suicide Blondes is good. All of them have strong female characters, and focus on the female as well as the male, although M is a bit more extreme (some DP stuff in two of the scenes).
"Eye of the Beholder" was also a good movie. (As a former Asia Carrera devotee I've had to move to another girl, and lovely Kyalani is just perfect). However I've begun to start thinking that less is more -- the endless grinding and grinding has started to grow wearying after a while, and the directors seem to fail to put in the things I find arousing, like teasing and first insertion. I'm starting to wish porn companies would make "half-way" movies that were more like soft-porn, but with brief shots of hardcore. I'm probably alone on this wish.
I do adore Blake and Ninn though. I can put up with the girl-girl stuff for a Blake movie.
My one big beef with most porn is that the girls tend to be pretty and shapely and the guys tend to be... erm.... Ron Jeremy. LOL That's another reason why I like Blake a lot. He tends toward beautiful men as well as women.

Couples porn movies from Vivid, Wicked or Andrew Blake are still skewed towards male heterosexual fantasies. Hence you get the girl-girl but not the guy-guy scenes. They really aren't fair in my view.
As to how to improve, get a director who has no qualms about showing the male-male side of things. Get someone who is prepared to use a little imagination in the plot. Get someone who employs innovative camera work, editing, and music to go with the action.
If you are looking for something where the male is penetrated but it is still a straight focus you should check out the original The Opening of Misty Beethoveen, and Bordello Blues. Both have women using strap ons on men. If you are looking for man to man action you can check out a lot of bi-sexual movies. I hear that BiDazzled is pretty good (although I think it may be out of print). Thos movies tend to be fairly couples friendly, and have some REALLY hot guys. Cracked also has a pretty decent looking cast, but more on the rougher side, with more tatoos and the like (it also features Extreme Associates' Rob Black. What he does in the film, I don't know, but I know he's in there).
Most couples movies (of recent years) I've seen have had relatively handsome men. It's only the gonzo movies where I try and block out the sight of the sweaty male banging away on the pretty girl, his hairy bollocks swinging into the camera lens. Why have Rumplestiltskin when you can have Michelangelo's David? But then what really makes a couple attractive in a scene is if there is a definite chemistry between them... that changes everything.
While girl-girl action is accepted I do not think the average heterosexual male is yet ready to accept male-male scenes in mainstream couples movies. I think I can guess what the reaction will be. And yet I know some women want this stuff, after all there's slash fiction and in Japan they have gay romance comics that are aimed solely at women. So there should be someone making this stuff.
Probably one of my favorite couples movies of all time (going back to the video age) was a little movie called "Catwalk". Wish I could get that on DVD.
No you're not. The problem I see is that so often when this is done the movie ends up feeling like the director is afraid of the sex. If you haven't tried Nicholas Steele's movies (such as Rawhide or Dinner Party 3 ), give them a try. They often feel like they're unsure about whether they want to be hardcore or softcore. I do agree that many couples movies need more teasing.
For other couples stuff, check out my reviews for this month. I'm trying to focus on movies couples might be interested in. There's probably going to be a few negative reviews in there for things couples might want to avoid, but I'm hoping to mix in a few things they might not think of as well as looking at instructional movies that might be worth checking out for anybody interested in trying to become a better lover.

I just saw the movie "One Night in Vegas" and it was actually pretty hot. It had no girl-girl stuff, and had a great looking cast, both male and female. The story is a bit light, but it works really well in the movie, and it is also something most women may be interested in due to the fact that it was written and directed by a woman (Stormy). It also features two male strip scenes (Evan Stone and Lee Stone). Not really guy-guy action, but something you don't usually see in straight porn.
That's cool that Stormy's directing now too. I know she's been writing quite a few of Wicked's movies. IIRC, I think she said in the interview in Perfect Stormy that she's writing at least a half dozen movies a year. I can't remember the exact number, but there were quite a few.

One of the most erotic scenes in any movie (adult or mainstream) is the love scene in "Don't Look Now". Now I'd love to see a sex scene like that in a porn movie. Of course the scene would have to be choreographed and shot in short sections, which is totally at odds with how porn movies are filmed, but the final effect would be fantastic!
Other great scenes are the scene in "Erotic ghost story" where the man splits the girl's legs, and from "The Dreamers" where the girl peels her photograph from the boy's penis (where he kept it for safe keeping)... and almost every sex scene in "The Fruit is Swelling" (which is a fantastically hot movie). All these scenes are so erotic they blow porn apart for me. Good porn needs imagination, and most porn has none. Come on porn, you can do better!
I just recently saw Heart Breaker with Ava Vincent and Briana Banks, and I think that one is a great couples movie. The plot and acting are all pretty good, and stuff that you would actually want to watch, but it never really kills the sex, which is all pretty hot. The only thing that could hold some people back from enjoying this one is that two of the leads aren't your typical twenty something actresses. One is Sharon Kane, and I can't remember the other woman... but both do great jobs.
I watched SpaceNuts a couple of months ago, I thought it was great! Doesn't take itself too seriously at any point, real good laugh. I bought the Collectors Edition, which was a great value DVD :) Nice locations, attractive actors, good storyline, a little bit of something for everyone. It is rather long, took me three sittings to get thru it ... but that was a good thing!
I was drawn to Wicked when I got sick of constant anal scenes in every porno I watched. Having watched a couple of their movies now, I highly recommend them! I bought: Forbidden Tales;Repo Girl;No Limits;Space Nuts;Euphoria The quality of their films is great, the costumes are fantastic, and the storylines are actually really good!
I'm pretty sure Repo Girl, Forbidden Tales, and No Limits are Digital Playground. If you liked No Limits, then check out Loaded. Good stuff. Nic Andrews is generally a good couples safe director.
I just finished Paul Thomas' Les Bitches. Good stuff. Just enough plot, and really well handled sex scenes make it a pretty good couples movie.
Also, I think Trailer Trash Nurses 6 would work. It's silly and campy for sure, but it's still pretty good. Also, most of the scenes give the women the upper hand, and the more powerful role. It's a nice change of pace. The sex isn't tame, but it isn't insane either. You just get good, fun sex without the acrobatics, or darker trappings of some releases.
Obviously it's a Vivid title. So it goes without saying, but it also has a very, very hot sex scene with Mark Davis, and Christy Canyon. Quite possibly Christy's hottest sex scene of all time, IMO. Definately worth a look, if only for that one particular scene.
Theres also a nice girl-girl scene by a pool with Jill Kelly thats not bad as well.
Andrew Blake, and Wicked films are a pretty safe bet too.
The problem with a lot of couples porn is that they tend to neglect their intended audience. I think women like to see people connecting sexually, but often the pairings seem forced and/or restrained. Men usually like it hardcore and sweaty, but more importantly, men love looking at women's bodies. Other than the maybe films by Andrew Blake, I usually don't see the female frame being shown off well. Those gonzo tapes also sell so well because you usually get great views of the females bodies.
Right now my favorite couples director is Cash Markman. Although I'm not really sure if a lot of women could get into his films. His films, at least the ones I've seen, tend to be shot more straight forward. The acting acting and dialog is usually pretty good, but he usually keeps it to a minimum. Not a lot of time between sex scenes in his movies. He seems to stay out of the way in the sex scenes, or at least doesn't overdirect them like others seem to. If a scene is going really well, he'll let it play out more, instead of stopping it at the usual 10 minute couples limit. In doing so, I notice that the female orgasms tend to fly a little more in his films. He not afraid to let the performers actually connect. A lot of kissing, touching, eye-contact, and yes even pussy-eating in his films. Not necessarily a lot of romance or happy endings in his films, so that is why some couples might want to use caution with his stuff. I'm liking everything I see from him personally thought.
Well anything that has Carmen in it, is worth a look as far as I'm concerned. Don't think I've ever seen Carmen not take a facial, so that'll be different. Damn Adam & Eve...just kidding.

Well thats great to hear Jacklyn! There seems to be a great many who think all the female performers hate doing that kind of stuff, nice to hear otherwise. Also great to see porn shot from a female perspective, since that is the perspective I'd prefer to see. The only thing I'd add, is to remember the visual aspect. I can't speak for all men, but I "think" most want to be visually stimulated also. I basically mean that men usually like to get good and long looks at women. Hope your having a lot of fun!
Well since your in such a great receiving mood Jacklyn, I'll also add this. If at all possible, try to hire performers who are actually right for the scene or film you want to do and actually want to do/experience it. I know casting will never be perfect, but scenes work better for me when the performers actually do dig/want each other. I think you'll rarely get a bad scene out of people who really want to fuck each other, as opposed to those just looking to get paid or be seen. True chemistry is almost impossible to fight. Ok I'm done.
As you're taking notes I'd like to see more teasing, stripping (not in a strip-club sense, but more of a one-on-one sensual thing). The one thing I cannot stand in porn movies is when the couple go from being fully dressed to naked and banging away in one cut! More foreplay -- and energetic, choreographed sex! There, if you can get in half the things I've mentioned I'll be very happy indeed.
I think I would recommend John Leslie's "The Catwoman" for couples for it's very high erotic level and especially for the first sex scene between Leslie and Kathleen Jentry. It is a very high charged scene and it seems like there is true passion between the two of them. I also think Leslie's "Angels" (my choice for probably the most underrated adult film of all time) has a great, sweet scene between Peter North and Savannah that is like nothing I've seen before.
"Neighbors" was pretty good. The sex is very tame, but the girls are all hot, and the guys ain't to bad. The story is strong, and funny, and very couples safe. There is no cheating, all the sex is between actual couples, and it never feels forced.
If you want a movie that is WAY more daring, and extreme, check out The Fashionistas. Most people would probably say I'm crazing for suggesting this as a couples movie, but here me out. The story and acting are pretty good, and the sex is HOT. It also isn't the normal fare. You get bondage, and domination. For couples interested in that, it is a perfect movie to show what is in store. It also has a feminine slant to the story with the fashion focus, but never sacrifices the raw edge of the sex. If you think your significant other might like the darker side of sex, check it out.
Just seen "Beautiful", from Wicked and directed by Michael Raven. From the few films I have seen directed by Raven I would say he is one of the few porn diretors I would class as a filmmaker. He has a terrific sense of lighting and knows how to film the stars to make them appear at their best. I would go as far as to say I prefer his style over Ninn's. If there any bad points to Beautiful it would be that some of the scenes are too short and that we still have the nasty jump cuts: fully clothed to fucking in one second flat. If the actors are going to wear condoms (as they do in this movie), just admit the fact and have the girl put it on him!
I'd love to see Raven allowed to go full-steam on his own projects.
Michael Raven is a great filmmaker. Don't know if I prefer him to Ninn, but Raven is very underrated, and rarely gets his due. Short sex scenes and jump cuts are 2 things feature films are gonna have to address sooner or later. There is no need for sex scenes to be like 5-10 minutes, yet that is what I keep seeing from features. I can understand the need for all the choppy editing when trying to adjust to cable tv, but think its unacceptable for dvd releases.
Would love to find a feature director that lets the scenes play-out more and who edits very little. I kind of thought I had one in Cash Markman, but even he is turning out to be inconsistent.
I still like Ninn's movies, but that jumpy editing style is starting to grate on me. One of the biggest problems with porn features is getting the time of the sex scenes just right, but then that's down to an individual's tastes. Usually the scenes I find boring are too long and those I like are too short. And cutting the time of the scene down in features involves editing out the "inbetween" bits, the bits which I personally enjoy. I think every porn director should be forced to watch the sex scene from "don't look now".
I am curious there are many places on the internet where you can be involved with the hot wife forums and swap "lifestyle" but yet there seem so few films that tell the story in any reasonable way. The Screw my wife vids are so set up and seem to be porn stars or wannbe's. Is there are there any films that are out there about real people who swap or men who watch their wives with other men. I dont know which forum to use so I am trying this general one. any replys appreciated.
You'd think there would be, but I personally haven't seen any. There were 2 older films called "The Swap" I believe and maybe some older tongue-in-cheek ones also. I can't think of many that seriously dealt with the swinging lifestyle though.
