The Top 10 Things That Are Destroying Porn Are:
1.) Social and political interference and persecution from the outside, coupled with the apathetic attitudes of those on the inside who have a tendency to roll over and join the attacks on their industry peers, which shows an apparent lack of solidarity within the industry.
2.) Oversaturation of the market with too much of the same indistinct product. It's to the point now where no one can distinguish one series, director, or production company from all the others because too many of them are imitating each other.
3.) Lack of popular distinct fetishes within the market. And having 1,000 foot fetish videos, or videos with pregnant chicks, don't count. There are other niches and fetishes that we don't see at all. For example, there used to be atleast a few American pornographers (Max Hardcore, Khan Tusion, Duke Skywalker) who filmed guys pissing on girls. But now, no one is showing this anymore. Why is that? And No, it's not because it's illegal. If I were making porn, I would certainly capitalize on this. Also, whatever happened to all the rough sex porn that we used to see? That seems to have faded away too.
4.) Failure to retain the best talent. Why is it that all my favorite porn chicks all end up leaving the business after only a short time and a few scenes, while other girls who should have retired years ago just keep on performing?
5.) Competition from foreign porn, such as porn from Europe and Brazil, which is often comparable or better in quality than American porn. This isn't a bad thing. It just means that American porn needs to step up its game.
6.) Porn giving up its edge in order to submit to senseless PC influences. For example, porn can now only show women acting like men, since showing women in submission might be viewed as "misogyny." Also, porn cannot show rape-fantasy because it might confuse people who will mistake the fantasy for reality. Also, if porn does age-play, then the men involved will be accused of being "pedophiles." Unfortunately, the list of how PC has infected porn (except when it comes to race) is endless.
7.) The loss of focus on the sex. Filming a hot sex scene often seems to be at the bottom of the list of priorities in porn now. Instead, the focus seems to be mainly on getting a nice McMansion for the set, or following a routine formula to make sure that positions are changed on time, or that the guy never blocks the girl, and that the sex is the same as in every other scene. Porn doesn't appear to be about sex anymore. It is another mass-produced commodity made in an indistinctive assembly-line manner.
8.) Lack of connection with the consumers. I mentioned in another thread about how one well-known pornographer commented that many of the guys making porn didn't used to watch it before they decided to start making it, which is obvious if you look at alot of it. Of course, there's no way that the people making porn are going to be able to please everybody. If the fans say they want more anal, then as soon as they start shooting more anal, other fans will complain that it's too much anal. However, it's still a good idea to have open communication with the fanbase and acknowledge feedback from the consumers, even if they decide not to listen to it.
9.) Attempts to make porn a "respectable" industry by appeasing the mainstream. How many times on this forum have I read someone say something like, "XYZ needs to stop because XYZ is the reason that porn has a bad name?" Who cares if people think porn has a bad name? It's supposed to have a bad name. Having a bad name is what makes it good. Porn is not "respectable," neither should it try to be. And I mean that in only the best way possible. Porn is supposed to be taboo, scandalous, indecent, and illicit. It's all those qualities that make it porn. The day that porn becomes "respectable" by the standards of mainstream society is the day that porn becomes boring and unwatchable, which might explain why porn is almost that way already.
10.) Everybody and his brother thinking they can do it, or that they can do it better than the people already doing it. There is both a good and a bad side to porn being open to everybody. The good thing is that it means anybody who wants to can have an opportunity to make a good and competitive product, which could potentially mean more and better porn. I could only imagine if guys like Jazz Duro, or Johnni Darrko, or Manuel Ferrara, or Erik Everhard, or even Chico Wang had never been allowed to start making their own porn. How terrible would porn be now without them? However, the bad thing is that it also means that while anybody is free to make it, that doesn't mean that everyone making it has talent, or knows what he's doing. I've never made porn, so I don't know how good I'd be at it if I tried. But I do know there are plenty of people already making it, and I just wish many of them would atleast try to make it better.

Good post. But you mention porn fans,
but who are they. Does the porn industry really know who is buying their products. Are there marketing surveys? Focus groups?
Does Evil Angel, for example know who is buying their product.
People who post on ADT are probably not a good cross section of consumer, as significant number's of posters are related to the industry. Should fanboys, in many cases immature adolescents, be given much credence as their buying power may not be the same as more mature age groups?
I don't think anyone really knows.

Kink.com happened.
Edit: I just noticed their watersports site, Pissing.com, stopped updating back in April. It's actually no longer even listed among the other Kink sites on their site. Wonder what happened there? (I'm sure the answer could be found relatively easily, but pissing ain't my bag. So I'll leave that up to one of you other intrepid reporters.)

You should change this to 10 things you don't like in porn. I think about 51 percent of porn watchers would disagree with you on spitting and porn. And I rather see a guy with a great cock that can't perform then a great performer with a shit cock (someone comes to mind).
You're opinion is appreciated but that's all it is... your opinion.
If this guy was at the state department he would be banning spitting because he personally doesn't like it.

I think fanboys and mature/knowledgeable consumers alike should be given credence. Fanboys generate buzz and spread the word and sing the praises of their favorite performers/directors/title/studio/whatever, which is advertising you can't buy. Experienced consumers know their way around and basically can hunt down stuff they like or live on what they already own, but will spend money on new stuff if it is good new stuff. So it's a good idea for "the industy" to pay attention to them too.

I don't know if it's destroying porn, but there are a lot of things I fast forward through.
Too much anal? Never. And why does the vag have to be involved? I fast forward thru the vag. If it's supposed to be anal, why does that get 10% of the time and vag and sucking get 80% with the rest devoted to even more boring shit?
Men eating pussy - What the fuck do I want to see that for? I can't stand watching that either, fast forward.
Moaning men? Gotta agree with that. Shut the fuck up and don't moan like a bitch.
Fake boobs - I fast forward thru anything that has fake tits. I'd prefer to see real women thank you and those just look idiotic. Tiny titties are every bit as hot as big natural ones! They're perky and on a real person and that's what makes them exciting in the first place. The plastic ones may as well be on plastic dolls.
Shaved pussies - either shave it and make it smooth with NO STUBBLE or let it grow wild! Stubble and weird trims aren't sexy at all. There's nothing wrong with a full bush and in fact that's sexy as hell to me, but tiny little trims or a three day growth are just total turn offs. It's why Heidi is such a treat!
Everything following the exact same format. Meaning - she plays with herself for a minute. Then he plays with her. Then she sucks him. Then he fucks her a little bit in one position, usually missionary or him on top. Then they switch to another position where she's riding him. Then to the side. 90 percent of all porn today follows that exact same format. And if it's anal, then after all that shit, we start going thu the main three anal positions - doggie, her on top, on the side. Actually missionary anal is cool but that's the least popular apparently.
Basic stupidity. A girl who looks and acts bovine, repeating the same thing over and over, is a real turn off. And guys should shut their mouths - most of them don't have anything to say that I'd want to hear while they're fucking.
Basic lack of performing skill - someone who just lays there and moans a little bit isn't too hot. One reason someone like Lauren Phoenix has such a fan base is because she's into it.
Multiple guys on one girl? Why not. I don't want to see their asses exclusively but there's some great stuff with more than one guy and more than one female.

Fanboy's do not speak for real people. I don't believe, from the tenor of the posts made here, that they are really representative of a larger market potential. They just make the most noise.
The point that I was trying to make is that I don't think the industry does much in the way of market research. I think that that most of the product that is produced, is not appealing to a potentially larger audience.

I get the feeling that a lot of these companies are run by a bunch of frat boys, who are flooding the market place with their rather immature fantasies.

What you are saying is that porn production has increased. That means, in fact, porn is not "being destroyed" so to speak. I am interested to hear more what you have to say about our favorite companies being long gone. Do tell...

There has been an increasing glut of product over the last decade or two as barriers to entry have fallen -- with some benefits to the consumer (more choices, lower prices) and some penalties (lower production standards, less talented guys/girls).
Now there is an undeniable shake-out underway -- for the better, in my opinion. But what is unclear is what the shape the next generation will take.
I am wishing for:
1) More big natural tits with flat stomachs and wide hips.
2) Less blatant editing.
3) Guys that can actually shoot a bigger load a longer distance than I can and/or pop multiple times without stopping.
4) Girls that actually exhibit natural sexuality and enthusiasm on camera.
5) The full gauntlet of mouth/pussy/anal penetration without being abusive or degrading to the girls.

Production is now off about 50% from the same time last year. Some companies have cut the 5 day work week to 3 days in order to survive. The amount of content that has been produced over the last several years is amazing. Internet companies can license full DVDs for as little as $150 per movie.
Free porn on tube sites are killing profitable. DVDs are ending up on file sharing sites even before the movie streets...It is difficult to make a profit now.
The samething happened to the record industry. Tower Records no longer exists. Virgin sells almost everything but CDs. Major labels cannot afford to sponsor worldwide tours. Profitability in the record biz has also diminished. The RIAA has to now sue downloaders to stem the tide.
Gonzo killed features, DVDs killed VHS, the tubes killed the membership sites.

The tide will not be "stemmed". Distribution costs have dropped 99% with physical media being supplanted by the Internet. The industries (music, movies, porn) will have to innovate to keep making money given those new realities. Technology marches on but they think they can sue people to keep things the same as they were when Reagan was in office.
Personally, I'm rooting for free amateur porn to take over -- the sex is hotter (no cookie-cutter paint-by-numbers scenes) and many of the young & exhibitionist girls are every bit as strokable as the big-name porn performers.

If the means to file share, etc. became available, what did they expect people to do, ignore them ?
Many porn makers took their customers for idiots by making so much crap, and in ridiculous volumes. The prices were much too high for the dvd's. I would gladly purchase movies if they would produce what i like to see. As it is now, I will only rent because there's WAY too much crap out there.

But there's a problem with that and it's huge. There's no way for you to know the performers in real amateur stuff are legal. Personally, to me, that's just not worth the risk. If there's no way for me as a viewer to verify the people are of legal age, I'm not touching it.
As long as you buy commercially made porn from the US, you're pretty safe. You know they probably made every effort to make sure everything was legal. If something sneaks through, it's probably an accident. You can't tell just by looking that they're legal.

Thats already happening. C4S is a monster site with mostly amateur produced content. I see the amateur produced niche growing considerably in the next several years. I also see the more established stars taking over a percentage of the production. They can do it cheaper than the studios usually through content trades with other stars.
As for the issue of CP making its why into amateur porn, of course that always a concern, however, I can tell you that I get dozens of calls each month from amateur producers about the legalities. Many of them sign up for www.AdultBizLaw.comand www.2257Safe.comso they can be legit.

I actually agree with a lot of what OP has to say. I mean if you look at it, it's sort of like the music industry, the quality is just falling rapidly and has been. Nothing has changed, there arent too many original people these days in porn. Everyone's just doing what everyone else has been doing for the past 10 years and trying to get paid. Most porn chicks are like some stupid valley girls or something and have no class, a lot of them arent even sexy in my opinion(not to say they're not beautiful, but not sexy).
And I dont think anyone can honestly argue his point about direction, these guys have no vision(most of them) no originality.
And on the anal issue, I LOVE a womans ass, nothing's better if you ask me, so obviously I dont want to see her asshole "altered" lol. I just never got anal sex, tried it in real life a few times and it's just gay!! Why??

Hiring performers that are beautiful, but that don't like sex is a big problem. There are far too many girls just going through the motions unconvincingly. In the never ending quest to find new and fresh talent, too much garbage makes it through the door.

I would say 75% of the porn I watch is either groupsex or anal or both. Love them gangbangs expecially. I just think your one of those guys bitching because all porn isn't to your exact taste. No it's not anal or group sex, and it's not boob jobs that are destroying the industry. Try again.

Let me suggest that there's only one thing that's really wrong with porn, and that is that most of the people shooting it would feel the same way about their job if they were flipping burgers.
The people who love porn shoot porn that people can love. The people who love how much money they can get shooting porn shoot porn that sucks.
Granted, the "everything on the internet is free" mindset is putting a serious cramp in everyone's wallet, but I have yet to see anything that I could download from the internet (and I'm talking legally, here) that matched the quality of what I've seen on DVD.
Now, you may say, 'Yeah, hardware, but most people don't feel they need that quality."
Well, there's nothing stopping most people from buying an inexpensive car. However, Madison Avenue has instilled into them the belief that they have to own an expensive one. If these guys can do it with an automobile, how is that nobody in porn can do it with sex films? People should be saying, 'Yeah, the download was OK, but you really have to get the DVD...fill in the blank.'

Watching this topic develop has been pretty nifty.
I have a Mass Communications class this summer (I had to fill a Humanities requirement) that has brought up the topic of piracy and illegal file sharing and bootleg discs in several formats. My newly acquired knowledge seems to dovetail nicely into the direction this thread has taken.
Illegal file sharing isn't hurting the (conventional) movie industry too bad, although bootleg discs, especially in foreign markets, are a huge problem. The most prevalent reason to explain that is that the quality available from file sharing doesn't match the theater experience closely enough to attract consumers. Also, in the American market, legitimate DVD rental appears to be a fair bargain and consumers are not motivated to commit illegal acts to circumvent the cost.
It's clobbering the recording industry, and I think their model most closely matches the video pornography model.
The recording industry artificially inflated the cost of their product for many years. They reduced both quality and quantity of talent by using the payola model to influence radio play and create artificial star demand from audiences. They refused to release singles at a fair bargain rate. They also gave talent and production a very small (relative) slice of the profits.
Ultimately, it led to the consumer revolt we have now. Consumers don't believe "everything on the internet is free", but they do believe they have a right to protest unfair business practices by stealing. One of the most common statements made by college students surveyed about music file sharing was, "I didn't steal any money from them because I wouldn't have bought the CD anyway." Because of their consumer abuse, the recording industry has made it more attractive to consumers to steal than to purchase. The ONLY downside to illegal file sharing is the possibility of being caught and prosecuted.
The recording industry is wising up. Profits from single song downloads at legitimate sites offering high quality files (Amazon, iTunes, etc.) using a micropayment (.99$) are set to outpace solid CD sales within the next few years. There is still a discrepancy between consumer viewed fair bargain and industry rate, the micropayment model will probably become cheaper and/or more varied.
Generally, the public would prefer to pay an honest price for an honest product than to steal.

Absolutely Kimi. I agree.
Personally, I still buy cd's but I am very selective. I would have purchased alot more if the prices had been reasonable. I would also purchase porn dvds if they would make the kind of movies that I like and drop the prices a little. It's been discussed in detail why many of us don't like most of the movies out there. I don't know if the makers are listening (some are but not most). Many consumers don't require a specific act (or acts) like I do, as well as better camera work. It seems like a beautiful woman getting banged in the ass is enough for many guys(not all)....but it doesn't cut it for me.
How can i shell out full price for a movie when I might ( and I say might !!!!) enjoy a couple of minutes or seconds from an entire 2+ hour video ? I can certainly understand that it's a business and these people want to make as much money as possible...but people catch on , eventually. These makers are now getting burned. There has to be a better way to please the consumer.

That's exactly the reasoning behind the single song download - most albums contain songs the consumer does not want, and therefore does not want to pay to own.
In the past it was argued that requiring the consumer to purchase an album exposed the consumer to the rest of the artist's songs that did not receive radio air time, and thus increased demand and interest in their product. This argument was invalidated by the recording companies themselves, as it was discovered that they forced the artists to perform 'fill material' to boost the cost of albums that contained more songs. So they literally did charge more for material they knew was unwanted and inferior.

Well Kimi...with many of the groups I listen to, the majority of the cd is not filler, luckily. :)
It's easy to purchase individual songs but , in porn, it's a little less obvious. There are clip stores but it's still difficult to find good material.

The fact of the matter is the porn industry doesn't care what the porn buying public thinks. We're still complaining about things that annoyes us and the porn industry is still doing it.The spitting, the ass slapping, the choking and the treatment of females during sex scenes is still going on.The only way to get your message across is with your wallet. I don't buy adult videos any more because of the stuff I mention above. It's been said that the porn industry isn't doing to well right now cause people are not buying porn. Maybe it's because of the product being put out that people are starting to wise up and say I'm tire of this crap and I'm not buying any more til I see what I want to see. Also I think the internet may have something to do with cutting into porn sales too. Just my opinon.

To an extent, this shows that the porn industry does care what the porn-buying public thinks, because many porn-viewers like this stuff. You say you don't buy porn because of this stuff. But there are millions of others who do buy porn because those things are there. So again, there's really no way to satisfy everybody.
After skimming over this thread, and posting my own Top 10 list, I'm convinced that another one of the main things destroying porn is consumers who want to destroy it more with their own terrible ideas. If we think the people who are already making porn are awful, then they are pornographic geniuses compared to some of the viewers I'm seeing comment here.
For example, I disagree with other posters that the following are bad things about porn:
1.) "Too Much Anal"
-Nonsense! How dare you utter such profanity! There's no such thing as too much anal.
2.) "It comes mostly from the men in porn, they Hulk-spit on vaginas, in assholes, on breast, on the face and in the mouth of women, this filth has no place in porn, get rid of it."
-This filth has every place in porn. Porn is made for filth. WTF do you think this is? The Lifetime Network? I don't get how people don't have a problem with seeing guys shoots loads of jizz on a girl's face, but will go apeship over seeing a guy spit saliva on a girl. What's the difference between one bodily fluid and the other? I enjoy seeing both.
3.) "the worst I’ve seen is something called Sleep-Creep, where a guy has sex with a girl “while” she pretends to be asleep. First of all, who would watch this junk let alone pay for it?"
-I would watch it, and I do watch it. SleepCreep is one of my favorite sites, and one of the best on the Net.
4.) "Women gagging and choking. There was a time in porn when actresses knew how to suck a cock."
-I love seeing the gagging and choking. But only if it's "real" (as real as anything can be in porn). I can't stand it if she's faking, and it's always obvious when she is.
5.) "Shaved pussy. I'm sorry, I love seeing public hair"
-Pubic hair (on women) went out of style along with the jheri curl. I'm just used to always seeing my favorite porn chicks cleanly shaved. Asking us to start watching pornchicks who grow out their pubes would be like asking us to go back to living without electricity. I prefer for her to have no hair at all down there. Take a lesson from the Brazilian girls and keep female pubic hair out of porn. We can't go backwards now.
6.) "Lack of plot of sub-text. Even the 5min blue-movies had some sort of set-ups"
-Who cares about the plot? I find it better when I can imagine the scenario in my own mind anyway, since I find my own imagination much more creative than most of the attempted plots I see in porn.
7.) "Fake boobs"
-Nonsense! I'd rather see a nice fake boobjob any day than some girl who's flat as a board.
For the guys who made these suggestions, please remind me not to watch anything you make if you ever start making porn. If these are some of the ideas for making porn better, then I say leave it the way it is.

It's hard to know what's going to be good too. I never know what I'm going to like unless I watch it. Even stuff from the best directors with performers I like fails miserably on a regular basis. For me, arousal is so unpredictable that there is no sure sign of a good movie or clip or whatever.

This may be a loaded question, but I wonder if others here think that the rain coaters perhaps have TOO much influence in what is produced?

^ I think people with incredibly poor taste have too much influence over what is produced. But then, I would think that since I don't care for most of what is produced.
"Rain coaters" as I understand the term don't necessarily have terrible taste. Sometimes they have great ideas that end up getting very poorly translated and then copied until the whole idea has been compromised.
Every idea has to be focused through exactly the right lens in order to make it brilliant. It even happens sometimes but then, everyone else in the industry takes a snapshot and runs off a million exact copies of it. There aren't enough people in the porn business who can take a good idea and make it their own instead of just copying what someone else has done.

Yeah, it's hard to tell what percentage of porn consumers are actually happy with the product being produced. I don't think simply because something sells that means that the consumers are getting what they want. I remember renting 2-4 tapes and maybe finding ONE scene that would work for me. I think the lack of quality control in the industry did/does contribute to the free downloading culture.

Agreed. I don't mind watching one guy, but there shouldn't ever be more than that. What I don't get is that mainstream porn is supposed to be targeted towards straight guys, so why the hell would any straight man want to watch this kind of stuff?
For what it's worth, I don't like the reverse gangbangs either, with a bunch of women and one guy. But if I had to choose, I'd take several women with one guy over the former.
For me, what's killing porn is lack of kissing and WAY too much toy using in lesbian scenes. Two girls kissing is about the hottest thing ever, and you see what, 3 seconds of it before they go right to the toys?
I guess maybe it's because most are gay for pay. If you don't like doing girls, then don't do them.
Basically I just like looking at solo naked girls anymore.

Even though I'm often bitching about bad porn on this board, realtip, I have often thought of the point your post made.
Honestly, if I were a porn maker and looking for a consensus of opinion at ADT to guide me, I'd just end up shaking my head and going back to whatever I was doing.
Not to cut the talentless assholes any slack, but you are right that for anything we might hate, somebody is going to say that's exactly what they love best.
Sigh.

OK, as a woman I like to watch porn. No, not the marshmallow soft Showtime/Vivid/Wicked type. I like hardcore porn. I can watch just about anything, as long as it's not something I've been in. The reason I can't watch my own stuff, is that I was there when I happened, and I know where I tripped on the corner of the rug in my stripper heels or when we sort of fell off the bed. Actually, I can watch my own stuff if I want a good laugh.
I am interested in the comments about what people "don't" like. Almost all of the items that have been mentioned are themes where a lot of product is on the market. In my unskilled opinion, it must be quite popular, and marketable, since companies don't for the most part succeed in markting items that people don't want. So..somebody..a LOT of somebodies..must be buying this stuff.
Multiple Guys: I like this. I think it is VERY hot. I have had multiple-guy sex in my private life, and would love to do it in performance. I personally don't know any guys who are turned off by this, much less think it is gay. I often see the "gay" label attached to this type of porn here on ADT and on other boards. Also as a woman, I know that I would rather have a 3-some with 2 guys instead of 1 woman and 1 man. While I do occasionally like to be in an all-woman pile, I like the idea of being the center of attention with a group of men.
Pubic Hair: Porn is fantasy. Maybe THAT'S why some of you here want to see pubic hair, because guys..it really IS a fantasy in today's world. Virtually all the women I know shave. Some may leave the little "landing strip", but otherwise they are shaved. The only women I know of who are still growing forests down there, are women would would NOT want to see naked or be with. Also, the shaving is starting very early. I cannot remember that last time that during an examination I saw a high school girl who wasn't shaved or waxed. Also, without knowing anything about the ages of the men on this board, I am guessing that many of the men who dislike saved pussies are somewhere above 40. Your first porn experiences date back to when women for the most part didn't shave. Would that be a fair assumption?
Breast Implants: The largest single cosmetic surgery choice is for breast implants. That goes all the way from WalMart cashiers to Nurses to Porn performers. Boobie inflations are no longer just for porn-adult performers. In fact I would wager that you come in contact with more "everyday" women with boob jobs than you do in porn. So once again, maybe this goes back to the thought that porn is fantasy. Maybe you are seeking the fantasy of natural-boobed ladies, since breast augmentation is really part of normal everyday life, more so than ever before.
Anal: GOD I LOVE ANAL!! I like it in my personal & in my performance life. There is a lot of anal product out there, and as I said, if people weren't buying it, the studios wouldn't be making it. They are making tons of it. Hence, it must be a VERY saleable product. I like to watch anal porn.
Pee, Poo & Vomit: OK..I like pee. When it comes to poo & vomit. No thanks. But..I really don't see any videos out there that have shit in them. The vomit videos..the various throat gag products...to me it's not at all sexy, but I don't see it being jammed into lots of different areas..just in it's own niche and somebody must like it. To me, it's too violent.
Bad Shots, Angles & Poor General Quality: In my mind, virtually anything that's poor quality, I skip over. But, if the public will buy poor quality, and the studio finds it can make money by peddling crap..then they win. If they figure they can get by on the cheap, and the public isn't demanding quality..why should they try harder if they don't need to. That's very much up to the consumer.
Just my 2 cents.

Agreed, multiple guys fucking one Girl is an off the chain genre in porn and I rather enjoy it myself. It something that you know that 95% of the women in the world are not doing and it really show how much of a slut some porn chick can be. I think they need to give award called the most valuable Slut!!! 2009 Winner Rebecca Linares!!!!

You have to realize how homophobic a lot of men are. Multiple men in a scene may indeed be better suited to men who have gay/bisexual tendencies. A lot of men feel very threatened by anything that (In their minds) even hints at gay. I think those men are very insecure in their own sexuality but that's how it goes. If that's how they feel about it, you can't really change them. Ironically, I'm shamelessly bisexual (at least on ADT) and I hate multiple partner sex scenes. They might be great to be a part of in person but in porn, they just distract me. I like to see two people completely into each other (hopefully, they're two people I find to be great performers).
I don't mind a little pubic hair but I've always preferred shaved. I'll be 36 this year so I don't necessarily think it has to do with the age of the viewer. I was always turned off by a lot of pubic hair. I just think it looks better trimmed or shaved. I like to see the actual pussy. You can't see anything through a forest of hair. Also, pubic hair looks bad at lower resolutions (It looks terrible at VHS resolution and only slightly better at DVD resolution) and bad lighting. Even if it would look good in person, it doesn't necessarily look great on video.
It may be common but it looks really terrible on a naked women. I can only conclude that those guys who say it looks great have a fake boob fetish, are so horny that they'd beat off to anything or they're such huge fans of the woman in question, they'd think she looked great with no arms. The only women who (In my book) can pull it off even halfway acceptably are women who have enough tit already to conceal a smaller implant. But then, they usually go and pick out the biggest implants that'll fit and it's completely obvious. I can't stand it. It is ruining porn for me because I just can't ignore it. I have that type of personality where it's all over once I see something that bugs me.
Anyway, I'm not arguing that there should be no boob job porn but like anything else that's not for everyone, it really should have it's own niche. I shouldn't be renting movies and find fake boobs in them even though I tried to find something with all natural. I've even seen them in movies that say "ALL NATURAL" in the front in big letters.
Yeah. I don't really have a problem with this stuff. It's not my thing but as long as it stays in it's place, doesn't bother me at all. And no. I've not seen any mainstream porn flicks with scat in them. I don't know what the person was talking about. You just about have to deliberately look for scat in order to find it and even then, it is not very likely to have been produced in America.
Well, they're always complaining that sales are down. If they want those extra customers, they should try and figure out what (if anything) they're doing wrong. I reckon they figure quality isn't a factor. Maybe they're right. For me it is. If I buy something and the quality is terrible, the only way I'm going to buy more of it is if the content/action blows me away despite the quality being terrible. And that almost never happens.

It's more than that, there actually is a large percentage of people who really are ignorant and do believe filesharing is legal, that the companies are making more than enough money through advertising. What do you think happens when companies like Brazzers run tube sites? It comforts people into accepting that all porn really is offered for free.

My 9 things ruining porn for me... (As purely a consumer - oh and this isn't my first post. I lost my old username, but have lurked for years since)
They are my personal opinions and I'm not saying that these things are "obvious" and everyone should feel this way.
1) Poor direction - specifically viewing angles. When a guy is with a woman in real life... In general what he sees whenever his eyes are open - are the woman's body. I am so f'in sick of directors who think we want to see a penis going into a vagina or ass, and only that... Repetitively, from multiple angles. I don't know how many times I have sat watching a woman riding cowgirl... From behind, only seeing penis/balls/ass. Ridiculous. Producers are paying good money for the super hot girls, and we get to see so little of her actual body in a fair number of these productions.
To me this is about seeing the woman, as much of her nice features - face, chest, overall torso.... While she is experiencing ecstasy. Directors however seem to think instead of seeing the girl's face and chest while she's getting DP'ed, that instead I want to see two penis' pushing into her from a perspective of what seems like 12" away or less.
While on the subject - I am quite tired of the constant reverse cowgirl... I mean can we please have some substantial frontal views of normal cowgirl, or at least some real side views? Cowgirl front views are so awesome to me. Like POV but you actually get a reasonable perspective, not a zoomed in view.
And so many RC perspectives are shot from crotch level to catch the penetration - which I do understand.... However I'm not one of those people who sit in the front row of movie theaters so I can stare straight up. So I'm not in love with a lot of RC perspective shooting.
2) How many of you out there when you're having sex with a woman, pull out 7/8 of the way when you're about to shoot your load? Um probably none of us. So the desire to see his load oozing out causes directors / actors to do this very un-natural thing. I'd much rather see a deep deposit.
3) I don't know why - but more than anything the thing that grosses me out, is nipple piercings on the male actors. I don't know if it's because I interpret it as they are actually gay, and nailing a hot woman... Or just to me, guys don't pierce their nipples.... Maybe I'm crazy but this weirds me out something fierce.
4) This is sort of a follow on to #1... Covering the woman up with clothing while she gets pounded.
5) This obsession with tattoo's I mean really it seems to be going a bit too far.
6) I don't mind fake boobs if they look remotely natural. Hillary's for instance are quite nice. (Love that woman) There are others too. The big balloons though are kinda a turn off to me.
7) Urination. It just doesn't get me off.
8) Not a big fan of roughing up the girls either. I'm fine with the girl talking filthy... But demeaning her physically, it doesn't do much for me.
9) I'm a fan of 2 guys on 1 girl - specifically DP's.... As long as you can see the feminine features of the woman. But as soon as you throw a 3rd guy where she has to service him with her mouth... Preventing me from hearing her, and very likely obstructing the view of parts of her... That kinda sucks. I'm all for 5+ guys on a girl, just wait your turn and stay out of my view until she's ready for you.

Brilliant analysis, thank you.
The future of porn will go micropayment as well, in the form of 'pay per month/scene/minute.' Either you'll pay a flat rate for all you can eat, or a flat rate per minute, with the credit card quietly charged. The more you watch, the cheaper it will be.
Music artists make most of their profit by touring. The 'album' used to be the 'free' publicity that fueled their highly profitable tours. The minuscule royalties they received from their albums meant nearly nothing unless they became 'mega' stars (usually engineered by the record company in the first place.) This system fails today, because it has ventured too far afield of what consumers want, by having become comfortable with dictating what the consumer base 'should' want.
So too with porn.

^ With feature dancing being equivalent to the touring of the musicians in your example above?
I wonder: how have the markets for concerts (for music) and feature dancing (for porn) changed, both over the past several years, with the digital revolution, as well as over the past year or two, with the recession?

Let's see if I can be brief for once...
1) Male-dominated porn. When did straight porn decide to sell fap material based on the names of MALE performers?
2) Steroids and Viagra. Gone are everyman types like Tom Byron and Mike Horner, replaced by parolees and guys who look like they should be working for Colt Studios.
3) Tats, piercings, implants and bald beavers. Usually all at once. Twinkies have more natural ingredients than some porn starlets these days. I mean, when Tera Patrick, the most naturally gorgeous porn star perhaps ever, decides she needs huge implants and a full sleeve tattoo...
4) Too much content. The valley shovels this shit out. Makes it impossible for anyone to stand out. They should cut the number of releases by at least half.
5) Too few stars. Was Jenna the last big porn star? The industry seems unable to make one. Probably because it's rather difficult to make stars when you are producing titles like "Gaping Buttholes #74" with a bunch of anonymous teenagers.
6) Piss, poo and puke. Leave that shit to the Germans. And fringe Japanese studios.
7) Knock off making an issue of age. Nikki Dial was 18 and played mature roles for Vivid. Today she'd be in pigtails and getting gagged by Max. Which means she probably wouldn't do porn to begin with. Was it ever highlighted that she was a teenager during her career? Likewise, Ashlyn Gere did most of her movies in her 30s. Was a term like MILF ever used once to highlight her age? (Yes I know MILF was popularized in 'American Pie' in 1999)
8) Incompetent filmmaking. I mean, these people don't know what they are doing. Make them go to film school so they learn the basics of camera angles and lighting.
9) Mecha-sex. Most porn these days is about as exciting as watching pistons firing in an engine. The girls aren't into it, the guys don't seem to care. Without the Viagra they probably wouldn't be hard. It's totally robotic.
10) Porn should not be a career. At least in front of the camera. No more 30 year careers, especially for the guys. They are just going through the motions, or worse, they develop cynical, bitter and contemptuous attitudes toward the girls. (TT Boy, anyone?)

You like multiple guys because you are a woman and you naturally don't mind a penis or 3 in scene.
Several of our ADT sisters have posted that they like watching gay porn. I imagine, being the center of the attention of a few guys at once, is a fantasy of more then a few ladies.
However if you are a guy and like to watch multiple guys savaging a single girl, you are gay and or bisexual.

Actually, I was referring to how musicians making their money directly from their fans (through concert tickets) and porn girls making money directly as well (through ownership of their own sites and content.)
The role of average porn producer has never been the most complicated or intellectually challenging profession. The production standards of Hollywood have never really applied to pornography, and as the costs of self-production and marketing for talent have dropped (literally, to the point where websites featuring nothing but videos shot on a high end cell phone) the middle men are quickly finding themselves pushed out of work. This is where the myth that the porn industry is 'dying' comes from; because those who raked in six figure incomes five years ago are nickle and diming each other out, trying to scratch a living on the old distribution system. This is exactly why Tower records had to sell the farm, while Apple jumped from computer dork jeer to computer geek hero. The next generation of porn will be produced a) in HD by small, tech savvy outfits and resemble independent films, delivered pay-per-minute, pay-per-movie, or monthly subscription Netflix style, and b) amateurs with cell phones, on the mega-free youporn style hubs, financed by AdultFriendFinder (yes, their revenue sharing system pays that well.) The current crop of porn is, in my opinion, the result of almost two decades of formulatic material sold to an audience that was raised to want it, just as we've grown up with McDonalds and thus have been convinced it is 'delicious.' If McDonalds ever starts giving away hamburgers (with the requirement that you look at AdultFriendFinder ads) men will flock for their free meals for a while, until realizing they're gorging on shit food while being reminded of how sexually unsatisfied they are. Those who would have paid for a decent meal will abandon MickyD's, and fork out a few bucks, while the uber-cheap will continue to get fat on a diet without nutritional value. So too will porn go.

^^^ If I judge the relative popularity of Pornodans live broadcasts of amateur fans and pornstars inter-acting in the various series that he has going on a weekly basis that may well be an addition to the feauture dancing that stars do. I dont know the legalities but paticipants and spectators could be restricted to members of the various sites and this would also be a way of competing with the mushrooming real amateur genre that seems to be gaining in popularity. If done by the major studios in a professional way it could become the "live concert" version of porn.
