Stoya is quite right when she addresses the stereotyped ideas of the sex industry. We tend to believe that stereotypes will fly in 2012 because we live in a modern era but I think the majority of people who play a role in this story are still stuck with a certain way of thinking which was probably ingrained in a socio-cultural way. Despite the bickering and lack of judgment that has been made by me, I recognize that those who appreciate the work of Stoya as an actress and as a performer are people who are generally curious intellectually, poseable people eager to know of other cultures and able to discuss ideas with people who have a different way of seeing things. I do not know what the future reserves for this woman of character, yet I trust her ability to lead flourishing projects. Whether in fashion or cinema, and I said the cinema because I think Stoya could further explore this path unless she has no interest to play as an actress.
^I have no real facts and that's why I said that it was a gut feeling but I checked her most recent tweets and there is no mention of doing porn and there really hasn't been a lot of movies getting done or released by DP with Stoya in them. She's been in porn for 5 years which is a long time in porn years. My rule of thumb is that if a porn performer doesn't shoot porn then she's an ex-porn performer. She may not be officially retired but I don't see a big difference between a retired porn performer and a performer who no longer shoots porn. Both aren't making movies.
There is a certain dichotomy between what Digital Playground has been done for the career of Stoya and mixed appreciation of this same company that is a completely boring way with countless movies with still the same cast, where the majority of scenes exclude anal sex and creativity has left the whole place to tirelessly identical camera angles.
I think she will go on shooting porn. She, actually never quit. According to her tweets she is proud to be an "International porn superslut star". Unlike, for example, Kayden Kross who is sort of "solo" girl with "military agenda" on getting money from fucking random ppl and invest in knowledge and horses, Stoya is addicted to some kind of "community", she is never "alone"... therefore, after musicians, circusants, artists and boyfriends, I am afraid that it's time for "porn ppl tribe" again... they are taking it no matter what's offering as long as they make $$... I tweeted this few day ago: she is following James Deen now, so I guess we will see some "actions" in future... damn she is easy on guessing "what's next?"... :) I would like that she never again do porn...

Digital Playground has to be the most horrible adult studio ever! The only reason i watch there films is to see Stoya, sometimes i wish she wasn't contracted to that boring ass company. If Stoya was a none contracted star, she would have been big as Sasha Grey, and Jenna Haze, but i do believe she's on her way out.
