Look at the tweet I linked for the reason she hasn't shot for anyone post-DP (and that has nothing to do with James), and unlike Manuel, James has no history of having the girls he's dating work exclusively with him (Joanna Angel worked with a bunch of different performers while they were together, IIRC). With or without James, I'm sure that the only thing stopping her is her, and I don't know if anything changes on that front anytime soon. [Link] |

I don't know where you got the idea that she had to fight with DP to shoot a dp or an IR scene. She was a contract star so all she had to do is negotiate with them the rates for those scenes. I can see an argument in that regard because she was a contract star but otherwise you are saying that a porn company had an issue with one of their contract star shooting a scene that was sure to sell movies and make them huge sums of money. They rarely ever even shoot anal, let alone DP, and almost never shoot interracial as well. According to their site, they've only shot one IR scene since hers (and that's a span of 3 years), and I don't see any American DPs since hers either (also a 3+ year span). Yes, those firsts are the type of thing that would sell, but the way that Digital Playground would think about it is that they aren't the type of thing that sells to the audience that buys Digital Playground movies. Which is also the reason those two scenes were contained in gonzo releases, which Digital Playground rarely released even back then, and almost never does now. And if you don't believe me, here she is saying herself that she had to fight to shoot her scene with Mr. Marcus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nuHxhGkHGg Edit: Oh, and according to the stories, James didn't ask her to shoot those scenes for Stagliano. Stagliano asked her himself (specifically, he has said he wanted to shoot her and James together, and she's always wanted to shoot with Rocco). Double edit: Where has she been since 2013? She got out of contract at the end of last year, decided she wanted to direct her own movie, shot it in February, and is waiting for it to be released before she decides to shoot anything else.
