[/quote] It depends how you buy the scenes, i normally purchase 35 tickets a month costing me £20(VAT inc), most of the scenes i buy are the Sineplex scenes which are the most expensive at around 4 tickets each.So if you do the maths it works out to about $3.5/€3.2 a scene.I suspect he is just looking at individual costs of scenes without any kind of membership.
American pornstars seem to operate by gradually stepping up the intensity over the course of their porn career,they do lots of vanilla at the beginning then later earning bigger money for things like first anal or first interracial, they are more savvy in the use of social media and they build fanbases of guys who buy everything they do.Euro pornstars tend to go straight in at the deep end,producing epic porn from the beginning of their career, but many of them retire far too quickly. In short US is porn is probably better for the performer but Euro porn is in my opinion better for the consumer.

I'm not at all familiar with LP. What's the deal with these "tickets?" You can't purchase a straight up, full, all access membership for the site?
They've probably set up their deal with tickets to decrease copying of their content and having it posted for free on the Internet. Because anything you see on the screen of your computer, you can record and post on [MOD: tube site removed don't send people to such sites] or some other such website. I've seen one of their scenes at [MOD: tube site removed don't send people to such sites], even when I wasn't especially looking for it. Which means that probably there is a lot of such copying going on, and LP needs to deal with it to stay in business. Once you have access to the whole website, then you can basically copy the whole website and post it for free on some other website. Not everybody will do this. Um, okay. Pirating of content is a problem EVERY porn membership site has to deal with, but yet all of the other sites out there offer full, all-access memberships. I just don't get why this one site resorts to this confusing "tickets" system; frankly, it sounds like a rip-off to me.
Legal Porno's owner also owns THE biggest porn tube site. I think that's probably got something to do with why they can afford to shoot so much more than other studios.
The difference is in production standards. LP makes a lot of hardcore porn yes, but it also doesn't edit scenes particularly well (so many of their scenes you can see mouse pointers blink across because they're not even bothering to rematch them for those kinds of errors), nor does it really do much to set scenes or create scenarios etc. This makes them weird to watch because no matter how extreme they're formulaic and oddly boring. It may be all the DAP you could ever want but its rarely good DAP.
I keep saying that and no one seems to be listening to me. LegalPorno is the Brazzers of Europe. They get more girls doing more stuff because they can pay more, because they're making money off putting everyone else out of business by giving away the other guys' scenes for free. It doesn't matter if a given scene doesn't make back the money it cost to make it. They could never shoot another scene and they'd still be raking in more money than they could ever spend for the rest of their lives. Other studios don't have that luxury. They know that if a scene costs X dollars to make, and pays them back less than X dollars, they're in trouble. So they can't take the same chances on expensive scenes.

LegalPorno, since they have a ton of cash that they got from the tube site, can then step in and say hey, the other studios can't pay you lots of money, but we can. So shoot for us. We'll pay you more for b/g, we'll pay you more for anal, we'll pay you more for DP, whatever. We can even afford your triple anal rate, which no other studios can afford. And then, LegalPorno knows that even if a particular triple anal scene doesn't sell that well, it's not the end of the world, because they still have a steady flow of cash every month. Other studios don't have that luxury. If they make a movie that doesn't sell very well, they're in trouble financially right away. And the only way to get out of trouble is to make a new movie that sells. But they don't have any money to make that movie that will sell well. You see the problem. So other studios can't take as many chances on making triple anal orgy movies or whatever. Because if it doesn't make enough money, they will have blown through their entire budget on one movie that isn't selling. LegalPorno, it doesn't matter. Normal rates (not for first anals etc.) run something like this: blowjob: $600 g/g: $800 b/g: $1000 b/g IR: $1100 (NOTE: some performers/agents don't charge more for IR, some do) b/g anal: $1200 b/g DP: $1400 or so And DAP etc would go up from there in similar increments. (These #s are not perfect. They're what's in my head from various interviews over the years, so please no one get angry at me if I mis-remember some of the numbers, or everything is slightly low or whatever.)

This particular tube site is not only the biggest porn site in the world, it's one of the top 50 sites of any kind. I just checked the rankings and it's higher than Netflix. Think about how huge that is. They make unreal amounts of money on other people's content.

I believe there is a US equivalent who do the same thing, i.e. run a huge tube site and produce stuff on the side, in fact I believe they ended up buying the competition. Here's an article on it.
