A lot of that money goes to tax, insurance, testing, wardrobe, etc. Second of all, because like she says, maybe 5% of performers make that type of money outside of their first couple months. You basically have to be shooting 2-3 times a week consistently to be pulling in that much, and the vast majority of performers aren't shooting that often. [Link]

To me the two big changes are 1) How you represent the actual grey scaled sexual spectrum(hint it's not by segregating homo and heterosexual sex) and 2) Coming up with a post DVD biz model that accepts tube sites and torrents and positively adapts to them. The main idea I have essentially comes down to a definitive tube site(which may or may not be PH) which creates a sophisticated fan-performer/producer tipping tribute system. If you do it right then performers and producers could both get something as close to performing and producing royalties as possible. While it was not VV there does need to be someone like this and it could potentially be a performer. [Link]
