Personally, I think its funny that the porn industry has morals and prejudices at all. You would think that money talks more than morals, but sometimes that is not the case.

Finally, I want to say that BSD, Blue Sword, and Pocketcomb Pimp have been unbelievably articulate in their responses. I know that this thread got long and jumbled, but I said no less than three different times in this thread, that from a consumer perspective, I DID NOT THINK the porn industry was racist, or practiced institutionalized racism.

Indidviduals at all levels of the industry may have personal bigotries that they're carrying around, or that they've made public, but the industry as a whole seems to be primarally interested in what sells.

It's sex. Sex is a very personal thing. Even if it is performed in front of 20 strangers, under hot lights and in front of cameras, it's a personal and intimate occurrence. We happen to be in an industry that combines business and the intimacies of sex.

Performers are always the best when they are open to the fantasies presented in the scene. Nothing is worse that two people performing that don't want to be with each other, unless you're into that sort of thing. Sure, they're getting paid, but they should enjoy themselves.

If a performer does not was to do IR, that's fine. It's their choice. I really don't care what their reasons are. Is it business, family, racist, other? I really don't give a fuck. I don't want to know the reasons. I don't care. It's not an issue.

I understand the issue comes in when you are a fan, and a performer you have a "connection" with does something against your fantasy, you feel betrayed.

It is good business for most performers to perform as much as possible. In this business, 6 months is an eternity. The sad truth is that normally when you see a girl you like for the first time in a movie, she's already out of the business. That's how it is. But that's just bad business. Any performer should do their best not to go out of their way to alienate their audience base. I'm sure if I know the political views or thoughts of my favorite performers, I would throw myself out the window. It's about maintaining the fantasy .

The nature any business is that demand creates a supply. If people are buying up gaping ass movies like hotcakes, guess what? More gaping ass movies will be made, in spades. If people are slow to buy solo movies, not many more of those movies will be made. Same for IR, Asian, Anal, Foreign, Black, MILF, Shemale, Bondage, Gangbang, Midget, etc.

If a girl has that *something* that makes fans want to watch her no matter what, then the demand is there and she creates the supply.
