I don't totally get why a porn chick (someone who's been in the industry for a while) will go out and get a boob job. It seems these days that most every porn chick with 30-40 titles under their belt is totally tied into the various internet and social network communities... yet these same communities and forums seem to be fairly uniformly anti-boob job. Generally (and I know this doesn't apply to everyone), it seems like the responses are like 90% out and out hatred of them versus 10% saying "They're ok, I guess." I understand that they do it because they feel they will make more money somehow, but even a cursory exposure to the internets would seem to make it clear that they will be turning off a huge part of their audience. As you can imagine, I'm in the anti-camp... I can come up with on one hand--actually one finger--the number of boob jobs that seem to improve a girls' appearance (Hillary Scott), but other than that they are almost uniformly bizarre and appalling. Any starlets care to weigh in on why either you, or fellow starlets, would get implants?
i dont see why people cry when a girl does what she wants to do. its her life she can do whatever she wants when she wants. personally i like new tits on a girl Edited by - Ashlii on 9/6/2011 2:44:57 PM
Umm, ever consider that, just maybe, people hanging out in online communities aren't representative of all porn consumers? Brazzers managed to become one of the most successful online porn sites with a specific focus on big and mostly fake tits. (And then their owners went on to seek world domination, but that's a different issue...) Anybody who believes that fake boobs don't sell is deluding himself. People who enjoy them simply don't go online to complain about how there are too many models with natural racks, unlike their counterparts who are responsible for the 90/10 split you've observed. Edited by - shalalin on 9/6/2011 2:47:05 PM
Based on the amount of lame porn, I can't believe sales has much to do what is included/excluded. The performers just do what makes them happy, the directors just shoot what they personally enjoy; the viewers just buy it or ignore it or pirate it. Everyone is happy. Sales are an incidental factor, but not a determining force. IMO. Edited by - ninja1 on 9/6/2011 3:23:12 PM
You're obviously right, of course. I guess I'm just trying to think about what's going on in a girl's mind (and this not in a negative or positive way... just trying to understand). I'll see girls be active participants in forums (like AdultDVDtalk) where people will go on for pages praising a girl for how perfect she looks. And of course their twitter feeds are full of that as well too. This all has to be good for the self esteem! So when they turn around and get a boob job, it feels to me like it didn't happen quite in the vacuum that it might have in the past. Literally they get to read tons of comments and thoughts every day from people telling them how perfect they are and how much they love them... to some extent I would assume they'd take this stuff into account when the got the boob job. My totally proof-free assumption about the past was that girls didn't have as much exposure to the thoughts of the fans, so they were pressured by producers and agents to getting it done. But all that said, I don't disagree with Ashlii at all. It absolutely is the girl's life and she can definitely do what she wants. I'm just trying to parse through whether it was a purely economic decision based an a perception that they will make more money, or whether it was a personal decision that would simply make them happier... (and whether in the age of the internets that the drumbeat of skewed opinion was any factor at all that affects a decision to perhaps NOT get a boob job).

Occam's Razor: Return on investment. Rich hobbyists demand the barbie doll look. They make a lot more money from dancing and escorting (not saying all are escorts).
I love fake tits, and I know many many other porn consumers do too. Girls often get more work when they get big tits. Look at a site like Brazzers, which was already mentioned in the thread. They book girls a lot more often if they have big tits, and while some dislike it, there are just as many if not more porn fans who love big tits whether they are real or fake. Edited by - reddevil87 on 9/6/2011 4:01:19 PM
I have to question the OP's premise: if boob jobs are so unpopular (and I am one who hates them), the vast amount of product featuring inflated tits would die in the marketplace. Still, they are one of the main reasons I buy almost no contemporary porn. Total, total turnoff.
I don't see why people cry when a guy does posts what he wants on a message board. It's his life he can do whatever he wants to do. See what I just did?
Boob jobs may be unpopular on ADT, but look at the comments on certain other sites (Freeones for example) and you'll find plenty of people celebrating when performers go under the knife. As much as I dislike the look of implants, I can't get too worked up about them when there are plenty of performers who stay natural. It isn't that hard to avoid the performers I find unattractive.
i dont hate them at all i much much much prefer them infact if say, there are 100 stars i like, id say 5 or 6 are natural the rest all boob jobs. you might hate them, if you do just watch stars who dont have boob jobs...simple

Its not so much that people hate boob jobs, its that we hate BAD boob jobs. It's been proven in Las Vegas, that if a cocktail waitress or stripper gets a boob job, it will pay for itself in increased tips within 6 months.
^^ This +1,000,000. The biggest problem with girls getting boob jobs is they get poorly done boobs (see Angelina Valentine) or they get huge implants that are too big for their body. If more girls would spend the extra money for a top notch surgeon and select a size proportionate to their body type, complaints about girls getting boob jobs would drop dramatically.
^This is where it gets murky for me because I consider any 110lbs girl with natural B cups who gets large C or D cups implants to be a bad boob job and that's regardless of the quality of the surgery. The reason is that the implants no longer match the body shape of the person and your eyes are drawn to just that so you miss the rest of the person. It would be like getting a brand new Posrshe and painting it bright pink. It's still a beautiful car but people couldn't get beyond the color. Then of course there's the fact that implants is just the tip of the iceberg and many of these grils laso get some work done on their face. In the end you have a performer that barely looks like she did when she first started.

Good post. Porn lovers buy/rent an awful lot of product they don't care for in order to find the few scenes/girls we value. Porn companies all seem to conclude that means we want more-and-more of the content we never wanted in the first place. And, so it goes. Bad boob-jobs... Excessive ugly tattoos... Excessive piercings... Anal, anal and more anal... I think if they're doing this to appeal to a new "younger" generation of porn consumer, it becomes self-defeating. As a rule, the "Internet Generation" doesn't pay for anything. Which, oddly, brings us back full-circle to niche and genre porn. I'm sure there is a market for "fake boobs," even though I and the vast majority of ADT posters generally don't like bad boob-jobs. However, the porn that actually sells (i.e. sells predictable numbers to produce good return-on-investment) -- and consistently makes money -- are the really niche and specialty items, because those fans BUY that product. Back on topic, sort of, another reason I think fans (i.e. not casual consumers) don't like boob-jobs, in particular bad boob-jobs, is because we fall for a girl and love the way she looks. We become invested. When she changes that with a boob-job and/or starts adding tats, etc., we just don't like it. In any event, there are so many reasons, pro and con, why girls get/don't get boob-jobs, and fans like/don't like/tolerate them, that we will never be able to understand it. One thing that I am pretty certain of, however, is that girls involved in the sex industry -- pornstars, strippers, escorts, showgirls, Vegas-style waitresses and bartenders, etc. -- are primarily getting boob-jobs because they believe they will enhance their earning power (more so than the personal vanity issues often mentioned) by doing so. Therefore, it is our job to convince the girls to leave 'em alone Now that I have expressed an opinion, please feel free to viciously flame me, regardless of which side of the issue you favor. Bonus points will be awarded for those managing to include an specific example of (i.e. [righteous-indignation] so-and-so did it because of ____ [/righteous-indignation] ) and/or opinion that Goldstein was too stupid to include and explain to your 100% satisfaction
LOL! Why do you think they believe that a boobjob will enhance their earning power? The girls in the industries you name have been getting boobjobs for decades. Do you think if getting boobjobs didn't increase their earnings they would've figured it out by now? Don't you think the girls who got boobjobs and didn't see an increase in earnings would warn the other girls that boobjobs are a waste of time? Are there a bunch of women who got boobjobs out there saying they regret getting them because they didn't help their earning power? If boobjobs were such a bad idea why is it that much more often than not girls get even bigger boobs after getting their first boobjob? Isn't it strange that with all the women who make this horrible mistake of getting boobjobs only a very small percentage of them say they regret getting them? I always think it's strange that people can't simply dislike something without feeling the need to rationalize in their head that most other people feel the same way they do and that what they don't like doesn't work. From what I see there's no strong evidence to support that getting a boobjob doesn't enhance earning potential in any part of the sex industry. In fact, the evidence that out in plain sight suggests the exact opposite. I find it hard to believe that the girls who are actually in the industry and actually see the results first hand are somehow wrong and guys who have boobjob hang-ups know what works for them better than they do. It's perfectly okay to not like boob-jobs. But trying to convince yourself and others that there's no up side to them for the girls and that the vast majority of guys don't like them just doesn't fly because it's incredibly clear that isn't the case. Nothing with that sort of negative reaction would've lasted this long and continue to flourish if it were true.
You guys need to step it up then because you're losing the battle in a spectacular way.
^I agree that we have lost the battle when it comes to preventing girls from getting implants for the same reason that we lost it for tattoos. If a girls wants to do it then she'll do it and she won't listen to us because we are afterall a bunch of perv who jerk off to her sex scenes. Where we differ is that I also think that the girls lost the battle with studios because they aren't being hired as often after the operation. How many girls can you name that got implants and did plenty of work afterwards? Now it's true that many girls with implants are still working but didn't most of these girls come into the biz with them so they didn't have a fan base that prefered them with their natural breast. This is not the only forum I'm a member and I've yet to see where the majority of posters are for implants. At best you have a group that's indiferent on the subject and may still buy content even after the girl gets the implants but the bulk are like me and simply can't watch the girl anymore because it really isn't the girl that you thought was good looking. Mind you part of the problem for me is that the girls that get implants often get work done on their face and that just adds to the problem.
if a girl wants to get implants let her, its her choice. if you dont like implants at all dont rent/buy her dvds rent natural only titles. i personally love thin women with implants, find it very hot. there are plenty of women with natural breasts of all sizes in porn. i am the same with tattoos, i cant stand them. everyone seems to have them now, but once a star gets too many i just dont spend anymore money on her dvds. simple. problem solved i can understand peoples disappointment when they are a fan then they change...ie tattoos or breast implants. but in the end its their body their life they can do what they like.
kind of feel the same as joeblow regarding boob jobs but realise there lots of guys that are drawn to porn girls with double d's whether they are real or silicone. also i can see why a girl that already has appeared in dozens of titles to get one so they can appeal to other porn users by reinventing there look and having the requirements for the big tit genre dvds/sites etc. Edited by - Drebin on 9/7/2011 10:50:49 PM
Here's the problem. As I've said before, for all intents and purposes, there might as well be no such thing as a good boob job. What other form of plastic surgery could be considered good, if it were obvious at a glance? How many boob jobs have you seen in the porn industry that weren't that obvious?
i think its a stalemate on this one i love fake boobs, that will never change. i will always buys porn based on women have fake tits, its much much more appealing to me.

"why get boob jobs when most everyone hates them?" Speak for yourself! I just realized that the vast majority of my favorite starlets have implants. Audrey Bitoni's #1 Fan
I am all for women in porn doing what makes them happy. Heck, I am all for anyone doing whatever that makes them happy, for that matter. But I have to think the industry/market has something to do with the plastic surgery. If these women were not in porn, would they still be getting fake boobs? I don't live in LA, NY, or Miami, so my perspective may be a bit skewed but I only know a handful of women with implants. I know about half as many that have actually had reductions. The ratio of implants-to-naturals in porn is without question higher than elsewhere. I am a male porn viewer and I'd say the majority (80%±) of my favorite starlets are mostly all natural. With that said, boobs are boobs. But there has never been an instance where a starlet's bust increased and I've thought, "OK, NOW I have to check out her scenes...". That's not to say I write off a star after she's gone under the knife, either. But I do scratch my head when she had pert B-cups to begin with. That is just me. Different strokes... My take on fake boobs? They are good for the casual porn viewer. Eye-candy for the mass-market. The same viewers who can barely name names (i.e. they probably aren't contributors on ADT). On some level, I do think it works and therefore implants are good business sense for parts of the industry. And, as evidenced by this thread, there are folks who just plain like 'em. Not to completely undermine my previous statements but I do think some boob-jobs warranted. Plenty of fake boobs look great when not overdone. Plenty of them look great on cocktail waitresses in mini-dresses, too (and that's why their tips get rounded up). One of the paradoxes in porn seems to be that sometimes implants tend to look a bit off on the girls who need them the most. To me, they look better when the implants are more discreet (i.e. smaller) and the woman has something up top to begin with. Edited by - Hisk3000 on 9/8/2011 3:46:00 AM
Your premise that "most everyone hates boob jobs," is totally wrong, and as a matter of fact there are many porn stars who would look so much better with a well-done (proportional to body frame) boob job, and a HELL of a lot of men agree with me, I can assure you! For, imho, and perhaps we breast fetishist were weaned longer than normal, if a woman, no matter how attractive facially, looks from the side like some "barely budding" 11 or 12-year old child--FORGET IT
Question - if, instead of saline, cloned tissue could be used instead (experiments in growing skin grafts in petri dishes are promising, so this would probably be the next step) would this make implants more appealing?
I don't think ADT is that much different than most sites that discusses this topic. I'm sure on other sites there are people who don't like boobjobs and try to convince people that the majority of people agree with them. But the reality is that there's not much to back up that theory. There are hundreds of members/posters but it's mostly the same few who constantly tell us how horrible boobjobs are. Most people like them, don't mind them, are indifferent and are fine with them if they think they look good. I think the people who just hate them outright regardless of the end results are smaller in number than people think but those people tend to complain the loudest and the most.

I didn't hazard a guess as to "why" they believe getting a boob-job enhances their earning power -- just that it is my opinion that that's why the girls do it. Clearly, you feel some need to take my neutral statement and divine arguments for me that I just didn't attempt to address.
I don't know and don't care. One wonders why you feel you need to express your strong opinions by taking me to task for things I didn't say or speculate on?
Goldstein never referred to girls getting boob-jobs as a "horrible mistake" (not even as a "bad idea"). While I would prefer that the girls would "leave 'em alone" (I even actually wrote that), you will have a pretty hard time finding me criticizing or taking the girls to task for doing so. (Not that I actually have to say something in order for you to manufacture something to take issue with.)
I always think it's strange that people can't simply state their own opinions without feeling the need to manufacture an argument with another poster -- particularly when the original poster never said the things that so aggrieve you.
Again, you attempt to put words and arguments in my mouth that I just didn't make. Did you bother to read my post, much less even the part you chose to quote? You have your own agenda here. I seriously resent you using my post as a foil for you to state your own opinions -- and thoroughly misrepresenting what I said, and raising arguments against thoughts I never expressed, in the process.
The only thing Goldstein "needs" to do, is to join with the sizeable number of fans in letting the girls know that, there are those who would simply prefer they keep their original equipment. We love you just the way you are. And, if they decide that getting a boob-job is something they want/need to do, then, for the love of God, get it done right. Now, one last favor of you will... Please alert me when Jenna Haze gets her boob-job. Just imagine the career she might have had, and all the additional income she could have made, if only she had had her boobs done

I never understood it either. The OP makes a valid point. I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I also can't stand piercings and tattoos. I see a lot of beautiful girls with perfect breasts later go out and get them enlarged and to me it makes no sense. I think it is a competition thing where they feel they do not measure up to others. That's the only thing I can think of. Edited by - peoples temple on 9/8/2011 1:13:42 PM
There's not much actual facts to back up either side of the argument. Said a different way: One can conveniently find "evidence" to support whichever side and conveniently belittle the "evidence" offered by the other side. That's why these discussions can go on forever, because its heavy on opinion and light on facts.
They sell to a specific market.... 1. Those who know they're implants but have a fetish for them 2. Those who can't tell the difference 3. Those who only care if the tits are big and don't concern themselves with details like shape, scarring, drastic changes in the way they move and hang and so on. Most of the porn industry is continuously bringing fresh new girls in. What do they all have in common? Most of them don't have boob jobs (and other "enhancements") and they have few (if any) tattoos. If boob jobs are so in demand why are fresh girls with natural boobs so prized? The girls who go get boob jobs still get work because they have an established fan base. Many who either like or don't mind boob jobs or will (to some degree) tolerate the implants for a while. However We're living in a world where porn is literally as common as dirt (and is free in many cases) and it's disposable. Many people are simply not picky. Many people are just plain used to seeing atrocious implants that look nothing like naturals. Modified breasts are so common it's very difficult to find an established star who hasn't had something done to her breasts. I can almost always spot it. But the point is that it's tough being as picky as I am because if I suspect implants, I can't jerk off to her. Many people just can't be bothered to be that picky. So yes. You kind of have a point. They sell but the playing field is nowhere near level. There are all kinds of variables. Not the least of which is a generation that has come of age when boob jobs are so common, they might not even know what a natural set of tits looks like. Do you think men complained for all the thousands of years when there were no boob jobs? Get real. Edited by - randomprecision on 9/8/2011 1:49:37 PM
As I noted earlier, I do not like implants. However, I have no objection to big boobs, and there are MANY naturally busty women out there who excite the hell out of me. It is implants specifically that turn me off, not from any offense at someone tinkering with her natural attributes, but because the manufactured specimens (or perhaps just the badly done ones ... ahem, twos) don't look like boobs and don't move like boobs. So many of these constructs have the most bizaare, untitlike shapes. I love breasts, and what I too often see are things that bear little resemblance to actual human breasts.
I've wondered the same thing many times. How can someone like that believe she needs it (even if we were to assume the results were absolutely undetectable and always made her look better)?
I had a (somewhat paranoid) thought about that. Maybe some of these people have "business arrangements" with the plastic surgeons that the girls don't even know about in many cases. It sure would help to explain it to some degree.

Would you prefer to have a real Chevy Camaro or a fake Porsche (with ridiculously exaggerated "Porsche" styling that makes it completely obvious it's not the real deal) and exactly the same engine as the Camaro has? I know it's tasteless to compare a woman to a car but I'm trying to make a point. Edited by - randomprecision on 9/8/2011 2:13:01 PM

Sorry. I did read your post with the wrong inflection and thought you were implying that the women doing the jobs you mention believe boobjobs increase their earnings but you didn't think it was true. That's why my post took the tone it did and I gave the type of responses I gave. After re-reading your post I realize you were being neutral on your views concerning earning potential. I apologize.
OK, what if you mounted the body of a 911 on the chassis of a Rabbit? It might look like a 911, maybe, but it wouldn't perform like a 911. Big tits are supposed to bounce and jiggle; fake tits are usually ram rod stiff, as in the case of Jenny Hendrix. And if they aren't stiff, they very often look like oranges hanging in socks, like Ricki White.
OK. I forgot that you're Australian or something. Substitute in there an ordinary car that you respect and put it up against the outlandishly fake Porsche. A Porsche costs an arm and a leg for a reason. It's not just an image. It's not a hamster in a wheel with a fancy body. Take a Camaro, a Volkswagen or whatever ordinary car you want and style it like a Porsche (Only wildly exaggerated) and you have a fundamentally good car that tries way too hard to be something it's not. Maybe that's appealing to you but I just find it distracting and boner withering.
Some of us want the girl at the office or at the checkout counter or the one we were checking out at the grocery store transplanted into a porn flick. Not everyone fantasizes about caricatures. If that's your thing, I'm not into knocking you for it. Everyone has their own thing going on. I'm just calling it what it is and trying to point out that even though I respect your right to be into whatever you want, I have to try and find stuff that appeals to me too. At the end of the day, I have to look out for myself first. Silence implies agreement with the status quo. "Normal" women turn me on. Boob jobs take me as far in the opposite direction as you can go. I'm not (and never have been) necessarily calling for a complete end to boob jobs. I don't think you have to worry about them disappearing completely. But they ARE a niche. People who aren't into them shouldn't have to check every single movie they watch ahead of time to make sure there aren't any implants in there. I have even seen implants in movies that claim all of the breasts are natural. It doesn't get any more irritating than that. When it's so pervasive you can't even trust the title. It's hard to avoid them completely even if you put a moderate amount of effort into it. This just shouldn't be. Edited by - randomprecision on 9/8/2011 11:30:36 PM
would still be better than any american made piece of shit plus i would have a couple of chicks driving with me, all with large fake breasts and id be the happiest little devo around

Popularity and sales are two different things. What is most popular quite often is not what sells the most. What sells the most is what generates the more repeat, often obsessive and insatiable, buying bevahior. The industry capitalizes on this by continually providing more of high selling stuff, which is the same, but different, maybe more extreme. Often that which is more popular, also represents better tastes, making the purchaser more satisfied with just one or fewer purchases.

Here is a boob-job from one of the very top stars of the past five years. PLEASE, if you know the performer's name, DON'T mention it here! Obviously, this performer had a boob-job and has had a very successful career to date. Overall, she is a very attractive girl, and quite popular. But, honestly, are these results attractive? FYI, this is from a still picture -- there is no motion present (like a screencap might have). This just makes me sad. I've got to believe the original equipment would be more appealing Do we believe that this caliber of boob-job was beneficial to this performer's career? Was it necessary for her to become a top star? Again, PLEASE, if you know the performer's name, DON'T mention it here! The point is to discuss the boob-job, not as an excuse for some to be "hating" on the performer. Thank you.
