Interesting POV but Max did not "degrade" the actress in question. She agreed to act in several films of his for a very large sums of money. She knew what was going to happen before cameras rolled, as do all of the other actresses that agree to work with Max. Furthermore, the quote in question here came from a live chat that the actress did almost six years after the scenes had been shot and she was long retired from porn. Is it so hard to believe that an actress could go into a situation with her eyes open, work with a director and form an opinion about him that may be different from yours? I mean gee wiz...she actually met the guy. Have you?

I think that all the opinions in the world from porn fans aren't worth a whole lot.
When you have a thread called "Working for Max Hardcore", the only posts that are really going to count should come from girls who actually have.
There's tons of speculation. There are even a few girls who have spoken out. But if this man is such a monster, where are all the posts from women who actually worked with him and want to make sure everyone knows it?
How many women did Max work with over his career? OK. So you can find a few who say this or that. What do the rest of them have to say?
I could say Max is a filthy degenerate all day long but what do I know? I've never even met the man.

The opinion of we pr0n fans, even those with which I disagree, are worthwhile as we're the consumers. After the women who perform, we're arguably the most important segment of the industry.
I otherwise agree with your statement. I remember seeing one interview with a women relatively new to the industry who won an award. She said that working with Max Hardcore made the award possible because the experience taught her what she could do as a performer. (Forgive me for not remembering her name--she wasn't one of my favorites so I didn't make a note of it.)
I briefly met Max Hardcore in the parking lot at a consumer electronics store in Burbank--the one by the Bob Hope Airport. He was there with Catalina. I introduced myself as a fan and admirer of his work and he was friendly enough given the fact that he was about to have an experience with the worst customer service department on the face of the Earth.
As for Max's reputation for being a monster, who is to say? There are a number of directors in Hollywood who are notorious for pushing an actor's buttons to get the most out of a performance. (Watch "Hearts of Darkness" as one of the greatest directors alive pushes his star to tears.)

I notice that Max used to post here.
Also, some comments from kami in this thread
"I know Max personally and I have worked with him 2x. He goes through an exhaustive explanation of what's going to happen and I always knew I could leave, I worked hard but was done within 2 hours both times. I walked out of there cash in hand uninjurednot so much as a bruise (i have bruises in like 50% of my damn movies)but wet :)
I don't think it's fair for people who have never set foot on any set to state they factually know something about a person they have never met. I took one of the worst beating on a new sensations set and you can bet your sweet ass none of it will be in the movie, it was 100% consensual and I loved it, that's not my point my point is a lot goes on and neither of my max scenes is even in my top 10 roughest scenes."
and this thread
"I worked with him and I adored him. Fuck i worked with him twice, read my posts. I don't pull punches. Max never pushed me harder than he said he would. I enjoyed working with him enough to work with him a second time, and if I was still in the biz I would work with him again. Max is Max, like I said. He is real and honest, you get what you get."

I think the Max discussion has been exhausted here. Others can post links to performers saying the exact opposite of Kami, I don't think either side is going to change their minds, and none of these posts are actually in reference to the original OP.

Uhm... they left the business that very afternoon perhaps?
As said, a lot of psychopats are nice... people-persons... everyone who've seen one of his most notorius scenes must doubt him, I don't see how you can say 'He's really a nice guy!' after watching one of those... it's beyond my grasp.
I don't think the opinion from performers enjoying rough, degredation etc even counts... they like to be abused... Max doesn't have to push them at all in order to produce his product. Yet I bet there are several girls into rough who would choose not to work with Max for other reasons than how old and ugly he may be.

That was Kami. Not Kimi. And Kami has a lot of credibility on this board (and with me) because she has a long posting history. She tells it like it is. I know she wouldn't hesitate to hang Max out to dry if she thought he deserved it. Anyone who knows her here will tell you that.
So when you have these other people who have bad things to say, OK. I'm listening but I don't know anything about them. If you're inclined to believe anything bad that you hear about Max just because you don't like the kind of porn he made, you're hardly being objective.
But a few stories here and there are not enough to form an opinion. I'd need a lot more. I don't think the man is a saint but I'm wondering why the people who should hate him the most don't seem to have much to say.

Oh you don't? So as long as they say they hated every minute of it, their opinion counts but if they didn't have a problem with it, they have no right to say so and be taken seriously?
You know what that sounds like to me? It sounds like you're saying -
"You're a victim. You're a victim whether you feel like a victim or not. You're a victim because I think you're a victim"
And that's exactly what they should do. Choose not to work with him. It's not a defense if he went farther than he was supposed to any more than being married gives a man a license to rape his wife.
But were you on any of those sets? Even one of them? We're arguing about what Max should or shouldn't have done to women who aren't even here to speak for themselves (or who choose not to). Don't you think that's a tad presumptive?
Is it more sexist to use the term "Fuck hole" or to assume a woman is too stupid to make her own decisions?

I corrected the typo on Kami's name, I know who she is, but that is just her experience, how many other stories would be needed to actually convince you RP? How about Bill Margold's story elsewhere on this forum? I suspect no number would change your mind, and I don't really care to try, this debate has been beaten into the ground many, many times before. Don't you guys ever get tired of repeating the same arguments over and over again on here? Jeez.

Haha... yes... everyone in porn is victim. You got me there RP, it's a horrible industry full of victims. That's exactly what I'm communicating...
Since he seems to have new girls pretty much all the time... I'm simply assuming that he have to do it that way because they're not very likely to come back to 'shoot for him' again... Luckily it's easier to leave Max than a husband.
Why, don't I have the right to analyze everything I see, hear and read? I could deny the holocaust because... where the fuck was I? O right... not born yet... I could believe in neonazis and non-redeeming SS-soldiers giving me 'proof' such an historical event never occurred (or that it was justified), that it's just a morbid story used to scare children with.
What I'm questioning, still, is if those defending Max has actually seen his worst? (the rare shit I would like to call semi-snuff) I would love to hear Kami or any 'insider' comment on those precise scenes and then ask again if he's really such a nice guy.
Sure that Rebecca Linares scene was pretty bad, but it's more ambigious than what I'm thinking of (at least she had been in porn for a while before this and she does that 'I don't have to take it smiling because Max is all about little girls crying when getting rammed').
Imo the latter. The first shouldn't be used or taken seriously. But to be adversed in how porn works before you enter it? Is that really to expect from a young woman just entering the job market?
Anyhoe, If I would see the same kind of thing from one of my favorite directors/male performers, I would shit on them too, wouldn't matter if I'd been a long time fan. And that's how it's works, everyone remember your mistakes. For me, Max Hardcore based on those mistakes, has the same right to make porn as if he were making child porn... none that is.

I don't know who Bill Marigold is or why I should believe him. I'm a casual porn fan. I don't have every porn actor, actress or director cataloged in my mind. I know who Kami is and why her opinion carries weight.
I've read some of the things other people had to say but I don't know those people. I know OF some of them but I don't know them.
I never said my mind was made up. I just said that you'd need to talk to just about everyone who ever worked with him to make sure you were getting a fair and accurate picture of him. And you'd have to know something about those people. People lie. I hate to say it so bluntly but it's true. I also know how easy it is to make enemies. I know that Kami didn't have an agenda so I trust her. Now who are these other people and how do you know they're telling the truth? It's enough if you can just say that you feel that you know what kind of person they are and you feel that they wouldn't lie. I don't care what your reasons for thinking that are. Just as long as you can say it with confidence.

You're joking right? Rocco stopped, Max didn't. It had nothing to do with Roxy. Max overpowered her and had no intention to do what she wanted. He did what he wanted.

@ RP, way back when I had seen a couple Max Hardcore films, didn't like them (I still think his greatest crimes have been against good pornography) but figured it just was what it was.
But then I saw the British documentary Hardcore (2001) that has extensive footage of Max verbally harassing and abusing a girl he's freaked out by trying to strangle during a scene. Max later claimed he had been 'set up' and that the footage was edited to make him look bad but anyone who has seen the actual footage can see that he is on camera in a static shot ripping down this girl in classic pimp style trying to get her to continue the scene. Whatever the 'context' was that the filmmakers may or may not have removed, his behavior is inexcusable.
Now if Max acts that way when a camera is actually on him, imagine what he must be like when a girl doesn't do what he wants and there's no outsiders around? Kami is a tough, seasoned performer with loads of rough sex experience who would have no problem giving Max what he wants, but what about the other girls?
I know you've heard of this doc in previous debates on Max, I encourage you to seek it out and let me know what you think after watching the scene. I don't expect it to change your mind, but I'm honestly curious what you make of it.

Roxy cannot stop anything because if the man doesn't want to stop, then he will not stop. She cannot over power Rocco. Is she a black belt in karate and she kicked his ass in order for him to stop? Roxy did not stop anything, he did. That's like blaming a woman for her own rape saying well she didn't stop it and could have. Unless the woman is a fucking wrestler or a black belt, she cannot stop anything. He is the one that stopped.

Well I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I read a couple of articles about it but I'd probably have to see it to really know what you're talking about.
From the description, it sounds like you're right but I'd still rather see it. If you know where it can be found, I'd be willing to give it a look.

I remember a British case against Max and I think she filed or was about to file rape charges. But he always sticks a camera in their faces after he rapes them and makes them say they enjoyed it and liked it all for his own legal defense. The woman are probably still in shock after what was just done to them and say whatever he tells them to say fearing if they don't, that he'll attack them again.

I don't think it will be easy to find. It's a 7 years old documentary, and as far as I know, it was never released on DVD/VHS. Maybe Channel4 has it somewhere in their archives, but other than that..

With all due respect I think thats bullshit. I have seen enough good bad and ugly porn in the category of abusive to have some sense of what goes on and what doesn't and whats what...I dont see anywhere near the venom directed at Khan Tusion that I see at Max...I dont see near the venom directed at Dumont(?) the Red Board S&M video producer then I see at Max. I dont see anyone protesting Kink.Com or wishing the owners dead or in jail.
I have seen girls work with Max and say no on camera and terminate scenes.Has he been an asshole?..oh hell yes sure and it's been evident in some of his scenes....but how is that exclusive to Max? I have seen girls work a scene with him that turns out to be more then they anticipated but they finish it anyway.
Ok so what?..like that doesnt happen in porn all over?...I've heard lots of stories about girls have issues with scenes and leaving in so called normal genres. Like girls haven't been lied to or treated abusively by a wide variety of company's or producers?
I have seen BTS after BTS in Max's movies and I refuse to believe he's standing there with a spinning B&W spiral disk hypnotizing the girls into laughing and smiling.
I refuse to go along with demonizing Max as some solo and aberrent facet of porn that everyone else in the business can point at and go YES BURN HIM!..not US!

I totally disagree! The scene with Roxy and Rocco has nothing to do with the kind of rape scenario you want to connect it with. Both Rocco and Roxy were in a controlled environment, with her being able to make him stop. He asked her repeatedly if he should stop and she told him to continue. I saw the scene and didn't like it, but it was no rape.

No one goes against Khan or the others because no one knows what most of them look like. I tried getting a screen shot of Khan from his video with the volume off of course but whenever his head shows, there's a white spot or a black bar covering his damn face. The only two pictures I can find of him are bad. One the face is pixelated and the other is a side view and dark. I had the side view picture lightened but you still can't tell what he looks like.
Max wants to be known and puts himself out there because he wants that "fame". He hides behind the Constitution when it's people like him that give porn a bad name. What Max and Khan and those types of degenerates do is not porn! It's trash and they are only doing to satisfy their sick hatred of women. It's the same stories from countless amounts of women saying the same thing. They are criminals.

Oh wait. I never said Rocco abused her. I said Max did. Max wouldn't stop while Rocco did. You even said now he asked her if he should stop.
I'm saying it doesn't matter what the woman says. It will only stop if the man wants to stop. Most women cannot physically overpower men. Rocco asked her if he should stop and she said it was okay to continue. Roxy wanted Max to stop but he didn't.
But let's not portray Rocco as a saint. I've heard of real bad stories on how he's treated OTHER women. But that's a different issue for another day.

Darrah, read your original message again-
You don't mention Max, only Rocco. And you clearly make Roxy the powerless victim of Rocco.
But, I tend to agree with your last post about Rocco. He has and continues to assault women.

You must not be looking in the right places, Khan is one of the most hated men in porn.
I'm sure others do behave as you suggest, and each one of them should be called out on it, not have apologists popping out of the woodwork whenever anyone criticizes them.

I'm not an apologist. I actually like to play devil's advocate sometimes. I have a couple of reasons for this.
1. It serves to add balance to a discussion.
2. Sometimes people just repeat rumors that they've heard and I have no idea at all where they got it. If I don't do anything other than cause people to do some research just to prove me wrong, I feel that it's worthwhile.
In other words, if somebody pulled something out of their ass just in order to come down on the side of the debate they prefer, it usually shows when someone challenges them. Usually, that's all I'm trying to do. Simply challenge people to prove their point.
In this case, Max is not a guy most people would want to defend. But that runs into a very real problem. And that is that a lot of people are willing to believe anything anybody says about him just because they don't like him or his movies.
If I challenge someone to prove what they say and they come back with good, factual information, that's great. I don't care who's right or wrong. I just care about getting at the truth. If I need to appear to be defending Max in order to do that, so be it.

The Norwegian skinhead/nazi-flirt punk band "HAGGIS", made "film music" for Max Hardcore films, and even made a music video with him at his house before their US tour... They are notorious in Norway, and have a record of scandals and shocking and violence for over 10 years. For instance, only 10 minutes in their first gig in Santiago, Chile, for their latest world tour, police and anti-terror units stormed the concert area... And their frontman has presumably served time in norwegian prison for violence. They shamelessly flirt with German- naziesthetics and effects and symbols from the 30's and 40's.
Their frontman claims that of all the creepy things they ever experienced around the world, BEING AROUND Max Hardcore, was the most shocking. And let me tell you, these guys are geniounely not easy shocked. They just said that being around him was very creepy, and they called him "completely insane" with a "creepy atmosphere" around him.

$150 for one scene? What kind of dirt bag would pay only $150?
That can't be the full price..or can it? I hope to god that's not a "decent" price for one scene...

I think the only thing that could explain a woman accepting $150 for a full scene is a drug problem.

I have listened to most of this topic, and here's what I have to say as once an insider and now simply a fan.
The term "giving porn a bad name" is somewhat of an oxymoron. Isn't porn supposed to be "bad"? I'd rather children not watch it, and this cuddly love fest, couple crap is driving towards a friendlier more accepting market. Porn is the last bastion of true libertarianism. I don't want to censor it, control it and tell "it" what to do. Max, though repugnant to some, DOES follow the law or he'd be in a world of crap. He actually fell into some trouble on a constitutional issue, which I believe he is still fighting. It's to be expected in this current political climate. Correct me if I'm wrong on that issue. However, he doesn't rape. He doesn't drug the girls. He doesn't use underage performers. It might look like it; but it's not. It's a fantasy; plain and simple. Everyone who participates knows the pitfalls, and I have NEVER heard of a girl being paid $150. Where did that rumor start?
I knew plenty of girls who worked with him and surprisingly enough liked his honesty and rough side. Not everyone is into cuddling and couple sex, not even the actresses. I know for a fact Chloe Nicole, Cumisha Amado and Tiffany Minx all ENJOYED yes ENJOYED working for him.
Let's not put lipstick on a pig and call it Elle McPherson. It is meant to be raw, nasty, hot and primal. This isn't Disney; it's porn. Max; he's tapped into that. Like him or hate him; he's just making porn, but without pretentions.

The youtube link that Whiteboy posted has an exit interview and payment of $150 to a performer who later accused Max of abusing her. So if anyone started the 'rumour' that he pays as little as $150 it was Max.

Honestly, knowing Max somewhat, I think he was just being a controversial ass, if he said that. Sometimes people are misquoted. However if that came out of his mouth, he was probably trying to rile people up; and it worked.
But thanks I will check it out myself ...

I see many many people referring to this Channel 4 BBC documentary entitled "Hardcore" with Felicity, but I have yet to see any footage of said documentary. Does anyone know where one could legally get his hands on such footage for an objective perspective?
