Arditti Member 529 Posts 5/07	Posted - Mar 8 2009 : 11:06PM I was 17 when I watched a XXX-film for the very first time. It was Mary, Mary with Constance Money and John Leslie. Even though I have seen that film just 2 or 3 times over the years, I still remember it strongly. In one scene, Constance and John have dinner and they play with food. Constance has sex with John and he pours wine over her face, Moments later, she alternates between sucking him and eating chicken. And the orgy at the end was great by that time's standards. There was incredible energy in that film, but I am sure it was not a great film. What was your first film by the way? Any vivid memory of it? [Link]

The movie was "China de Sade". I was about 14 or 15 years old. My soccer coach had told a bunch of us kids that the porn theatres in the red light district don't check IDs, so I decided to give it a try. When I went to the ticket window, the guy asked me, "You over 18?" I told him I was, but he said, "C'mon, you're not 18!" Instead of trying to argue, I just handed him the money and he gave me the ticket. I was scare shitless that the guy was going to call the cops. I was the only one in the theatre when I first sat down. The movie had women in cages lots of sex. It was the first time I had seen somebody else cum besides myself. Someone else came into the theatre several minutes after I sat down. It looked like a woman and "she" sat behind me. After a few minutes, "she" leaned over the seats, and said in an unmistakably male voice, "Do you want a blowjob?" I said, "No". She said "OK" then moved a little further away. After I calmed down a bit, I managed to whack one out. Watched a bit more then whacked another one out. When I left the theatre, I covered my face with my hands so that no one would recognize me. I had known that they made real films before, but I always imagined them as cheesy . . . this one blew that concept out of the water. Of course, it was different from most mainstream porn films on so many other levels, too, but it definitely made a deep impression on me, and it's still my favorite film, ever. [Link]

You must have seen the film a few years after it came out as China DeSade was released in 1977 and VCRs weren't common until 1980/81, unless your folks got an early one in 78/79... [Link]

Click to expand Thanks! I don't remember the name of the theatre, but it was just off Hotel St. in Honolulu - our city's red light district. It must have been about 1980 if I was 15. I think the fact that I was really scared added to the thrill of the experience and probably is at the root of my love of porn. After my folks bought our first VCR, I spent $40 (porn was expensive back then!) for a used copy of Debbie Does Dallas on Betamax. I probably watched the shower scene a hundred times. Then, to satisfy my urge for new porn (which I couldn't afford to buy), I used to rent the "Swedish Erotica" tapes at my local rental joint, then when I found a scene I liked, I would literally cut that section of tape and wind it onto my blank video cassette, splicing it all with scotch tape, then use the scotch tape to patch up the original before I returned it. My Dad and I saw hundreds of movies including a few x-rated double features like Last Tango in Paris and Inserts, Story of O and Emmanuelle, Labor of Love and Exhibition. I was 16 or 17 at the time. Its patrons didn't mind that I was "slightly underage". Years later I watched it again on VHS; only then I noticed how lame it was. ;=) About my first American adult movie I'm not even sure. Must have been some 80s 35mm porn starring Ginger Lynn & ... Traci Lords. These films DID stand the test of time when I picked them up again later on tape or DVD. Directed by the mostly untalented Frenchman Alan Vydra who made a nice for himself in the early 80s with films like this simply because they were marketed as being in Dolby stereo. One of the weird things about his movies as that they were mostly post-synched, even though their casts were predominantly American. [Link]
