^yes, porn is difficult for the performers. Female and male. If Manuel had decided Jenny was not wanting to continue with the scene, Evil Angel would have been furious with him (as would have Ginger and probably Jenny, at the time).

^^regarding the yes lists, I saw Gia Paige's was posted, but she also clarified in a later tweet that there are many other men that she is happy to work with (Mike Adriano and Jules Jordan were mentioned). So I agree, it's a little misleading to post the "yes" lists when they aren't even halfway full.

the thing is that for all the horrible abuses happened in the life of this woman (and it's easy to have empathy with her for that) she can't blame a performer who can't read her mind if she acts like she's enjoying the experience if she actually said those things reported by Manuel Ferrara. And that's true in general. To falsely accuse someone of rape (that means one of the worst crimes) is as awful as a real rape.

Well, let's put it this way, without making comparisons. It can ruin you for life, with heavy psychological repercussions. Put you in the position of a monster, and be seen for the rest of your life as such, isolating you from a society who will think you're a piece of shit who couldn't not die soon enough. And it's a thing that should be said more, because it's the other side of the coin. The idea of a person who wants to ruin the life of another person with false accusations of rape is one of the worst things I can think of, especially because often there's not a video to have an idea of what really happened and it's easy to be on the side of the supposed victim.

I don't totally understand what you're saying beyond 'we can't know what's going on in someone's head', which while of course true doesn't really get us anywhere and if anything is kinda Manuel's point. The idea that she may have faked her pleasure is possible obviously, but how that would be an argument on her side doesn't totally make sense to me.

Wow, I am so, so glad that I'm not the only one who thinks a lot of the male talent are total pieces of shit. Markus Dupree's scenes aren't sexy, they're obnoxious and gross. His constantly yelling with his voice that sounds like Kermit and Fozzy singing in unison in the worst hardcore band of all time - you know what I mean:

*slamming his dick in as hard and fast as he can screaming "WuuhHhhOooHhhh LUUK AS ZISS LUUK AS ZISS OHHHuuuHhhh then punches the girls pussy while fucking screaming like a farm animal that's locked in a burning barn. Dude is one of the worst and I'm confused that anyone even remotely finds that shit sexy

Saw a clip from a movie called Donky Punch that was like, beyond fucked? Dude's name is Steven French and the whole thing is him punching the girls... guy deserves to be thrown into a volcano

Those Ass Traffic scenes (I think) the ones with the European sounding camera guy who repeatedly calls the woman 'Beitch' and touches the girls all the time. That group of guys who do a lot of those are just total scumbags.

Chris Strokes, I've not noticed him doing anything too egregious outside of repeatedly trying to go A2P with Juelz Ventura until she tells him not to, and he chuckles in that mouth breather/permanent sinus infection idiot ass voice with "ughhhh Mughhh baahhht ahahhahhh." But this guy is hands down just the worst ever douchebag and straight up can't watch any of his stuff because it makes me wanna jump out of a window. That constant "Ohhuuggghhhhh Mmuhhhh Gggaaahhgghee" just FUCK he's the worst ever

^ Chris Strokes is the god of "unplanned anal" aka. nonconsensual anal penetration. Lots of performers have spoken about it. He basically has his own fan thread on ADT because of this "signature move."

To revist some other 'legendary' performers:

John Holmes repeatedly abused his underage 'girlfriend' for years. She wrote about her ordeal in The Road Through Wonderland: Surviving John Holmes.

Ginger Lynn says Ron Jeremy raped her. He has a number of allegations against him, including Jerry Butler in Raw Talent saying he often intentionally hurt women on set during sex.

BTW did anyone notice that the RS article about Jeremy I linked to above includes a link to ADT's own thread on the subject?

None of the films or videos I recommended had puke, torture or piss in them genius. They were hard BDSM films and videos.

The films I mentioned are well known to any fan of 70s features, regardless of one's taste for BDSM or not. So you're trying to insult mods like Flash as well as myself.

With your constant peddling of paranoid conspiracy theories on here you clearly don't have a solid grasp on RL and fantasy but BDSM is not 'torture.'

I'm sure Mason would be surprised to learn her videos are 'misogynist.'

Honestly with your nutso behavioir I'm starting to doubt you're actually of age to be posting on a porm forum, especially if you don't know who Mason, Jake Malone and Jamie Gillis are.

^ Duke right now things are so chaotic in the US this seems unlikely but once things calm down are you at all worried about the Feds coming for your ass the way they did with Max Hardcore, Jim Powers and Rob Black?

The modus operandi seems to be to pick the most extreme pornographers and bust their asses. You seem like a natural target. Going after some scumbag pornographers is also red meat for the base and few on the left will bother to raise a finger.

And the current Supreme Court seems very unlikely to rule in a pornographers favour. At the State level it depends where you are but the Feds are well known for district shopping (hence why they brought charges for a number of their cases in Florida).

^ True enough but the whole community standards ruling I think was intended to actually shut down pornography's growth but backfired spectacularly on Nixon and ended up largely legalizing it as juries refused to convict.

Yh, this part doesn't add up and I've always struggled to understand it myself. Surely it can't just be the money as she's a top tier performer who is in demand. This needs an explanation because, not just focusing on her, but why would either party work with the other after the allegations.

^^ Anyone wondering about Ames and Dupree should listen to Ron Jonson's The Last Days of August where he investigates and interviews those involved.

In terms of why an abused woman performer would continue to work with those who abused her, it seems naive to act as if this is beyond the ken, how many abused women continue to live with their abusive husbands and boyfriends?

How many abused kids continue to live with their abusive parents? How many abused sex workers continue to work and live with their abusive pimps?

This is hardly some rare occurance. I'm familiar with it within my wider family, as a kid and young man I saw several of my cousins and aunts in abusive relationships where they would return again and again to their abuser. Domestic violence is common enough I would think most people have some experience with RL victims to know about this.

I can't tell if the claims to find this so mystifying are sincerely misinformed or disingenous.

Well I think we've seen that all walks of life include some men who will be abusive when given the power and opportunity. In the past as part of sexual harrassment cases I've encountered sexual predators in office and academic settings, they are hardly exclusive to Hollywood and porn. We just hear about these cases because the industries are more public.

It doesn't seems exactly the same thing. If someone in a abusive relationship with a violent husband or having abusive parents usually means living in the same house, and with persons that one could love, or depend on them economically.
But if an adult performer works once with a guy and the guy is abusive, and the she works again with him it's much harder to see some psychological reason for it. Ok, there's the possibility that one has a desperate need for money, sure. But if a woman is already successful and she can find a lot of other works what kind of justification there could be?

^In a perfect world where that performer has real power to choose with who she works with then yes you are correct that it makes less sense but the porn industry while it may be called a multi-billion dollar industry. It's really hundreds and/or thousands of individual studios doing their thing and most of them will never be available to work for. Let's nor forget that the reality for most female performers is that the number of male performers is very limited. They or their agency can black list as many male performers as they want but at some point the male performers they blacklist is the one that was available for the shoot and they either accept to work with him and get paid or refuse and don't earn any money for that week or that month.

^ Agree. And it is not like there's loads of work like in the Gonzo Gold Rush days and rates are that much higher for performers. We've seen lots of performers complaining about a lack of work for years now.

I tend to assume a lot of male performers are not great people, just due to history and the whispers you constantly hear, so nothing surprises me. I only consider myself a "fan" of a male performer if the guy has a really good reputation and his social media presence indicates he's the kind of person I can support (e.g. Ricky Johnson seems like a good guy, Seth Gamble seems ok, etc.), otherwise I remain neutral unless something bad comes out about him. I only care about the women and I will watch my fav performer with just about anyone as long as their reputation isn't in the sewer and they aren't a known abuser.

I would like this to be a REAL moment of change for the industry and I hope sites like OnlyFans accelerate it, because some of these folks/studios will not change until you fuck with their bag. 💰💰💰

If they're nervous, they should be, and they should change.

but the woman can say that she doesn't work with a guy anymore cause he was abusive and he should not work anymore.
I'm all for supporting women who are abused, but if a woman works a second time with an abusive performer it's hard to me not to think "why are you working with him again, instead of telling everybody that he abused you".

Even if you're a popular performer you're not untouchable. Even then some performers might worry how quickly their reputation can go down the drain if they start stirring the pot.

And at the end of the day Emma Hix's choice to work with Dupree has little bearing on what he probably did to August Ames and August's apparent statements on the topic There's a thousand reasons why Hix may have chosen to work with him after all. Even if you want to question her character, it shouldn't reflect on August's.

The simple answer is money. I don't want to put all porn performers in the same basket but I suspect that a significant amount of them tend to be people who don't put away the bulk of their paychecks in some kind of 401K (I hope that's correct I'm Canadian) where it will earn them some interest. Like many young people. They tend to spend money rather frivolously instead of putting it away for hard times. So if the phone hasn't rung in a while and they have bills to pay then if they get a call where they will have to work with someone they would rather not then they can either refuse and take a chance that another offer comes along before they really need the money or they accept the job hoping the person isn't as bad this time around.

The entertainment industry as a whole isn't exactly the kind of place where newbies and sadly even established actors/actresses have real power. Ask the victims of Harvey or any of the other producers, directors, actors and what not who still today get abused. How many of them will repeatedly work with their abuser because they believe that they don't have a choice if they want to earn a living doing what they do.

A woman don't have to necessarily be a famous actress in her life, if the Harvey you're mentioning is Weinstein. He abused many women, but I can think of one who went back to him again and again. From Europe. And then she accused him. Maybe she preferred to be famous and having sex with him. And to me that makes a lot of difference.
For women in porn it certainly could be tough, but if a person isn't able to say no, or even decide to work many times with a person they consider abusive, they should not work in porn in the first place. Look at the story with Jenny Blighe. She was accusing Manuel Ferrara to rape her, and at the end of the day there was just lack of communication. Men aren't able to read minds. If a female performer can't say "no I don't want to do this" she's basically saying "this is my choice, I'm ok with this".
And the idea that men should just have fear to do anything because the could be accused seems onestly crazy. Porn is based on the idea of people making consensual things. That means that women (or men) have to necessarily state what are their limits.

it's the opposite that it's problematic. We're talking about porn. So what if you were a performer who's doing a scene with a woman, maybe a rough sex scene, it seems there's no problem at all, she says that it's ok, she looks like she's enjoying it and after a month or so you look on your twitter page and everybody is calling you a raper and then you discover than the woman is saying that you abused her.
