I agree with the build up part a lot. I love when two women take their time to make out and pull their clothes off without any rush. Now they start kissing and they take their cloths by themselves, being naked in just a few seconds. It's so underwhelming, like you don't feel that desire for each other and I can count a lot of recent sex scenes that looked so promising but ended up destroying my expectactions by those actions. It reminds whn in the 90s two women were making out and then, they would cut to the next scene and they were magically naked. At least, in those cases, you could still fill th gaps with your imagination, but now watching it complete destroys the illusion even more!!!
About the romance, well, I sometimes like cheesy things, but just having two women that just want to fuck each other without any hesitation is hot too. I think there should be a balance rather than an imposition.
I don't really have a 'thing' with lesbian porn I just want the sex to feel authentic in the end and that can be accomplished with no story whatsoever as long as the women are committed to it and not just going through the motions and checking off the required positions and then wrapping it up.
That being said when there is some story or build up and it is well done combined with authentic sex it is off the charts great. That is why IMO that Kendra Spade/Alina Lopez scene 'What Sets Us Apart' was so great, it had both a great story and great sex (though not the greatest ever) that totally fit together. The issue is for all kinds of reasons like poor direction, poor writing, poor acting abilities, lack of funds that make this really rare.
The list of scenes with great sex and REALLY poor and stupid stories is very long and the inverse is quite short but we can always dream.
Another good scene with a good story/set up was from Adulttime a year or two ago called 'An Even Trade' with Freya Parker and Gizelle Blanco.
The thing I really liked about this was the two women for the most part stayed in character once the sex started. Gizelle was supposed to be the shy inexperienced one and her nervous giggles really played into this and Freya was the more dominant one and she maintained the upper hand throughout. Plus, maybe it was just my imagination (or admiration for Freya as someone who 'gets it') but there was a moment when Gizelle went for the uber porny choking thing which I hate and and Freya just gently moved Gizelle hand away and continued along. Like I said maybe my imagination but it was almost like Freya knew the porny thing was not right for this scene which was supposed to be more genuine and realistic feeling.

Yes, you may be right. Gizelle whether on purpose or just how it appears pulled off the very rare thing where she seemed to genuinely have that 'OMG I can't believe this is happening' emotion that is so great to see when one is so jaded by seeing so much fakery over the years.

Saw a Bellesa House scene titled Episode 170: Violet & Lacy. Released in February of this year, it features Violet Starr & Lacy Lennon. Lacy was apparently working in a brothel when she took a sabbatical from porn.
