The idea that straight women want to "self-insert as a woman on the screen" is also contradicted by the data. It's there in the second and third table.
Among the same straight women, when watching straight porn, just 16.4% of them watch the women, and only 12.1% do so because they want "to be like her." They are aroused by the interaction, the sex itself.

As far as "passion," I get leery when people starting trying to depict that. This was released today and I gave it a watch. While I liked bits of it I think it was something that works better in theory than in practice, I don't think POV really works in a GG scene. The main problem is that, well, you can't SEE enough, at least with a p***s it protrudes out so you can actually see it but with a pussy it's pretty much hidden in POV (from that perspective at least). The other thing is, it doesn't always stick to POV, there's an intro and parts of the sex have regular shots. Imo that's like when found footage movies don't stick to the format. There are good things, the intro is gorgeously performed and shot (although I suspect this part was directed by Bree), the POV did feed well into the the whole intimate vibe they were going for (hence the title) and there is plenty of hand-holding and I love you's which I *ahem* love.

The Brett/Karlie scene is about sexual relationship between friends, the Layla/Samantha scene is about bittersweet nostalgia about an old relationship, the Dani/Skin scene is about a first date, and the last one between Bree and Kayden is about jealousy. It makes me wonder what the scene between Kiera and Raven is about. All in all, a lot of thought seems to have been put into this movie.
