No distribution without rental stores? Bahahaha! You are aware of this thing called the "internet" right? It's a communications network where most of the world's porn is distributed. They have a new website called internet.com And while owning a porn video store might give you a tiny bit of insight into what the preferences are of your customers, the nature of brick and mortar stores is going to make that insight, very, very limited, and in some cases almost meaningless. Even with a regional chain your numbers will be skewed to some extent. If you had a nationwide chain your insight might have some significance in this discussion, but I'm guessing you didn't.

Do you even know what "circular reasoning" means? Because I'm beginning to suspect you don't. And what I'm saying is that polling 100 people in Beverly Hills, isn't going to be a good representation of the country as a whole. Neither would 100 people from Detroit, or 100 people from Miami, or 100 people from Syracuse, or 100 people from Little Rock. The quantity of the people isn't the issue, it's the make-up of the group. If I'm trying to gauge the country as a whole, I'd sooner trust a poll that asked 100 people from 50 states about an issue, than a poll that asked 1000 people from one state.

I owned 0 porn stores, but I'm not on here trying to pass myself off as part of the porn business. You are, so answer the question: How big was your chain of porn stores? You can't play the "I'm in the industry" card without backing it up. Mimefreak has established himself as about 100 hex more credible than him, but you don't think he is trustworthy. Why should anyone here believe anything you claim? An extraordinary claim requires extraordinary proof.

I checked their twitter feeds. Aspen Jade's twitter feed is filled up with activities other than porn. She is hustling but shooting scenes is not a priority for her. She's making money in other ways.
^ Yeah but to be fair, many girls' twitter feeds are taken up by all sorts of things other than their porn shoots, and really all that indicates is that she isn't shooting much. It doesn't mean that she wouldn't like to shoot more. Maybe she wishes she could have shoots every single day. But she doesn't. So she hustles in other ways. Even if she says "shooting scenes is not my priority" it might be because when shooting was her priority she wasn't getting enough work, so now she's had to look in other directions. My point is that you can't really know based on on any given girl's twitter whether they don't shoot much because they don't want to or because they don't (or didn't) get booked a lot.
Just take a look at how black(males) are used, now: latest page of updated content. The black(male) on ebony(female) scenes are outnumbered 14 to 1, and the two that are there aren't the normal 1v1 scenes. And two of the more active black male performers are now exclusive with a site/studio that does not shoot black on ebony at all. Source and source.

That's all good if we're looking at it from a porn fans perspective. A lot of folks here seem to think that the end goal for these gals is to 'be in the porn industry, be a star' while for many women it's to build up their name and customer base for other things. Porn is not very lucrative for what the industry takes out of you. There are no royalties and the pay is not great. A young escort can make a lot more money with a lower profile. Aspen Jade seems like a person who finds porn to be just one small part of the hustle. Heck, Jezabel Vessir is one of the top rated young Black performers and her primary work is in camming. The porn scenes bring additional customers to the camming.

So? White guys with white girls probably outnumbers white guys with black girls by even more than 14:1. All that demonstrates is that there are a lot more active white girls than black girls in porn. Would you prefer black male performers to work less overall just so the BM/BF to BM/WF ratio looks better?

Nadia Jay is on the cover of "Black Couples" with Lexington Steele I believe. I think you guys are looking at this from the wrong angle. XM/BF IR is actually leading to MORE BM/BW content not less. Why? Because it gives a steadier income flow to BF performers and raises their profile as "bankable" stars when they are more well known. Is it possible that these are more profitable than other black on black scenes because Teanna is light skinned?

Jade Aspen has over 60,000 followers on twitter that means every movie she makes has the potential to gross over a million dollars. Granted there are actresses with many more followers but she has only done a handful of movies. The point is the market is there for Black actresses the only reasons it is not being served is a industry agenda and what another poster said about the actresses unwillingness to work but it is not Black men they don't want to work with imo.

And suggesting that all or even most of a person's twitter followers will watch, let alone buy their movie is yet another reason why it's clear you have absolutely no idea how this (or probably any) business works, and leaves little doubt why you are no longer running you chain of adult video stores. If it came down to actresses not wanting to work with a certain kind of man, but there was superior demand and supply of bf into porn then they would just get bf who were willing. Jade obviously has fans for what she's doing besides actively making porn scenes. She is not trying to be a "pornstar" it is just something to make her other ventures more profitable. There used to be little demand for BF outside of BM/BW porn. In addition, a lot of these BF are coming from a Black strip club background and it would not be good for their image to be doing IR scenes. The same thing happens with WF strippers from the traditional red state or ethnocentric east coast white stripper background. It would not be good for their image. Even now, there's a lot of backlash for BF doing IR scenes. Especially if the dude is a mope and a lot of them are. Now there's increased demand for BF which means more scenes will be shot and which means more BF will get into and stick around in the industry. BF/XM IR will actually be a long term GOOD thing for Black studios and BM/BF porn. If things keep going up, then you may see a lot more BF choosing not to do IR because they won't have to in order to make money for outside activities. There are definitely BF performers who have not shot IR scenes because it would be bad for their image (and business plan) so the rising demand for BF in IR and non-IR may eventually increase that number.
