Sounds like it was fairly late on in his career. Also, there are many other divergent accounts, positive, negative and ambivalent (such as Richard Pacheco's positive memories, which Hartley promptly posted in that thread). It's hard to know what an actor is really like, how much of his/her real persona he/she puts into his/her performance. I can see why this would make viewers uncomfortable though.

Here's something weird: I used to think joey silvera was really creepy back in the 80s and 90s... it was probably the look he had back then. I saw him recently and he doesn't look creepy at all now, he looks just like a normal, average guy.

Don't take these threads too seriously or personally, people say all sorts of things on their computer. My favorite genre is older guys on Barely Legal women and your work is excellent. I wish there was more content produced in this area. I rent anything I can find on it. All power to you.
Jake Malone, and I have to disagree with the few that said he was acting. I don't think his creepy is an act. Wesley Pipes. The guy just totally creeps me out. I don't know his name, but there was this guy that appeared in a few tapes I saw where the girls were getting facialized by about 10-12 guys. How was Rodney creepy? I know he used a lot of girls that were far from hot, and he was no looker himself, but his porn was pretty straightforward. I didn't care for the drooling stuff, but he focused on the girls and was never coercive in any way. He also was almost alone in that he eschewed closeups of the guy during scenes. He figured, rightly so IMO, that the vast majority of guys did not want to see closeups of the male talents faces.

Mainstream: Steve Holmes. He seems like a nice guy, and he's well liked within the industry, but I can't watch a scene if he's in it. I'm often creeped out by Mike Adriano, as well. Performers that are more on the fringes: Eric John, Christian XXX, Kurt Lockwood, Talon, Lee Stone.

I always liked TT Boy, from the movies I watched (with Midori, Jeanna Fine, Raylene or Stacy Valentine) he was always cool, rough sex alright but in the mold of Manny Ferrara. Didn't get any negative vibe. But back in the 90's when it was harder to become an A-lister on the female side, and coke was more acceptable, it created those stuck up, pretentious women, which TT detested and brutalized. I did notice similarities between Talon and TT, but thought it was just a coincidence. Talon does dick the girls good and produces good cshots, but he's very rigid in dialog, foreplay and even walking or dancing (see the Grease parody).
