Most shelters, however, do not have a no-kill policy and must euthanize animals not adopted to ease crowding at their shelters. You would be shocked to learn how many pets are euthanizes every year. Finding actual numbers is difficult, but here is what one organization says. Ultimately whatever you decide to do is your choice and I would be cool with whatever you do. But you and Daniel could potentially save the life of one lucky cat. [Link]

Click to expand I guess if you purchase a cat, you are still adopting it. The problem with purchasing designer cats is that it encourages breeders to breed more of these cats. And it just makes animal population problems worse. But you're right. It's only you and Daniel's business. Designer cats can be awesome. Their uniqueness and beauty are great.
