^I'm a very light-complexioned black man. I am not biracial. Both of my parents are African-American. All four of my grandparents are African-American. And, to my knowledge, there are are no white people to be found in my family tree within at least the last four generations. Native-American, yes. But no white people. Yet, if I had a dollar for everytime somone asked me, "Are you mixed?," or "What race are you?," or look at me strangely when I identify myself only as black, then I'd have a ton of dollars.
