She then did one IR scene and then retired completely and disappear for a while , which was strange because she was pretty in demand and still in her rising part of her career. No one is forced to do IR. In fact, it's quite the opposite. I have cited several examples here on ADT over the years of girls who wanted to do IR but have been told not to (or even forbidden to do so) by their agents. Oh, and what does "they[sic] are few women who survive interracial" mean? Does this poster think that women are killed in scenes with black men? Probably they are trying to say that their careers are killed. In either case, it's untrue. In the past fifteen straight years, the AVN Female Performer of the Year award went to women who work with black men. Unless those two checks cover the lost revenue from holding out all those years, what was the point? A girl that did 2 IR a year for her first 5 years got 10 bigger-than-normal checks. If instead she waited 5 years to do her first IR, she got one big check. It better be big! I know the whole 'pacing' theory is about longevity, but I'm just saying that in many cases, there was no evidence that they staved off overexposure by staying away from doing a handful of IR scenes. They only lost money. I never understood any girl that thought that regardless of how many total scenes she did her first year, making 1 of them IR would put her in danger of overexposure. looking through IAFD, I haven't seen evidence of any difference in longevity between girls that paced and girls that didn't. Hell, Hilary Scott's library of 571 flicks includes over 71 IR, 329 Anal; each starting in her first year. She outlasted so many 'pacers' its not even funny.
