Hey Sasha Just read your New York Stories blogs. The photos lead to a revealing observation, if you please. Your makeup in the clubs was very good. Perhaps you should ditch the black eye shadow for now and go simpler. Just an idea. cv
I'm glad she made that list also. Haven't signed up yet. Have you?

Wow, Scarlett Johansson #31, Jessica Alba #32, Natalie Portman #36, Charlize Theron #37.............. ....and Freida Pinto, Moon Bloodgold 2nd and 3rd? Kristen Stewart #5? Zoe Saldana at #4? Now I've seen it all. Whoever made this list, or responsible for it, must've been smoking the strongest ganja known to mankind. I wonder if these guys have seen those girls mentioned above with out layers of makeup, or in real life. Angelina Jolie couldn't even break into their top 20, for fuck sakes! lol Edited by - ExtremeGonzoFan on 8/8/2009 8:54:50 PM
LOL Chosen one? Sasha worked her ass off for that. I mean it was some luck there too cause of Mr Soderbergh but still. She has a plan and in the end it will lead to world domination! ;-) Can somebody give a review or is there a review out about the member part of her webpage?
You know, there's a million fine lookin' women in the world, dude, but they don't all bring you lasagna at work. Most of 'em just cheat on ya."
Article about Sasha's "Grey Art" company and its new distribution deal with New Sensations: "New Sensations/Digital Sin to Distribute Sasha Grey's Grey Art" From the article: "I am thankful we were able to create a relationship with a highly respected company to deliver our distribution needs. Our first Grey Art DVD release will be The Birthday Party, a vignette co-directed by Oren Cohen and myself, in stores on Sept. 3. I’ve really challenged my learning curve over the past few months, and I feel each Grey Art title becomes increasingly definable to my mode, and hopefully my audience will see and enjoy this progression. I have some very stylized ideas in the works, and I can’t wait to share them with everybody!”

"Chosen one" isn't a derogatory term. LeBron James is referred to this way in his sport. If anything, the term is a compliment, suggesting that the person in question has a special gift. But - and again, this is not a knock - I don't think that Sasha's gift is her work ethic. A number of girls in the industry, including Jenna Haze, work far harder than Sasha. The two factors that I think separate Sasha are: (1) that she is very good at self promotion and (2) that she has a very unique look which is well suited for mainstream film, as evidenced by the following:
I don't think being in love with someone, respecting them and taking that risk to have that love at that time is considered a WASTE. And BTW I don't WANT to be mainstream.. I want to be what I am .. a pornstar. If I wanted to do mainstream I would have done that instead of going into porn. doing adult movies to try to crossover is retarded. Yes it worked for Sasha (and thats awesome I like her A LOT) but thats a very rare circumstance and I kinda get the impression that Sasha had a agenda to break barriers when she came in the industry. Which is great for her and the industry. But I came in the biz to FUCK. plain and simple.

Well put Jenna, reminds me of this Mitch Hedberg bit: "When you're in Hollywood and you're a comedian, everybody wants you to do things besides comedy. They say, 'OK, you're a stand-up comedian -- can you act? Can you write? Write us a script?'... It's as though if I were a cook and I worked my ass off to become a good cook, they said, 'All right, you're a cook -- can you farm?'
What I really like about Jenna is that she has always done porn on her terms. Good for her. More girls should try that. She's a raving beauty -- who hasn't been talked in to tattoos. She's a raving beauty -- who hasn't needed crazy piercings. She's a raving beauty -- who still has her original equipment (read boobs) and, yes, they're great. She's a raving beauty -- who has done G/G when she wants to and B/G when she wants to. She's a raving beauty -- and I am just glad a girl so 'easy on the eyes' sometimes can be found in porn.

That is crazy. I can't imagine even Marilyn Chambers being picked for such a list at the peak of porno chic. I guess there is something to those porn-going -mainstream claims.
^I think that it's great news, however. Sasha has worked really hard at establishing her brand and, as Jenna said above, breaking new ground. It's nice to see that a lot of the barriers between mainstream and porn are at least diminished relative to the past--as you mentioned.
The site is.. hmmm, Sasha... Girl gotta be a mac/flash head. Its different, arty, full of bugs and almost impossible to navigate! (Videocontent for example shows up every now and then you klick on the section if your lucky, if not theres a "coming soon") Content Videos: 10 or 12 exclusive downloadable movies, nice looking! (think its 1 b/g, rest g/g) - Today its only 3 or the "coming soon" as i wrote above. One of em isnt working... Content Pics: Wouldnt join that site for getting pictures. Just google, youll get the same. -> Just for true fans (and they should wait a few months i guess)
It were MTV, Jenna Jameson and Paris Hilton that broke the barriers hehe Edited by - sponsch on 8/24/2009 12:12:17 AM

Sasha was on Carson Daly's light night show yesterday. She handled the interview very well. This girl is eventually going to become a very influential person within the porn industry - The cool hip young intelligent voice of porn that challenges the mainstream media's unspoken decades long embargo of porn. I hope Sasha is invited to the Academy Awards. In that setting, she could change a lot of opinions regarding porn actors. Edited by - tobias on 12/14/2009 3:25:14 AM
Sashas the Kanye West of porn - takes her self to serious. Why should they invite her to the Academy awards? I mean i like(d) her but if she gets an invitation i should get invited too.

Don't be a hater. This girl can give porn some mainstream credibility. That credibility could greatly increase the size of the porn pie. And, in a climate of shrinking revenues, that would help the industry as a whole.
Tobias no offense stuff as that is why I hate the internet. I mean being mean is okay, but then be mean to someones face. Come on you know why Jenna in your words "wasted" her time. What makes you the one to judge? It is funny in a very twisted andd total wrong way you like Jenna and what her to do and be what you think is best for her. back to topic Sasha has a business plan of sorts. That what I mean with working her ass of. Is she the hardest working girl in porn? No of course not... The whole mainstream lokking at her is just funny, superb, strange and whatnot. I be impressed if she will do something about or be part of a change that will or will not happen about unions and the relationships between companies, agents and performers. That would really impressed me. Then again what the... do I know. edit: thx sponsch for the review Edited by - Prom000 on 8/27/2009 9:27:40 PM
No hater but why should she be invited there... They dont invite music stars right, so why should they invite ponstars? Theres movies, music and porn (and a lot more ><) Thats has nothing to do with Sasha. Its hating on that "pornhastogomainstream"-fetish
Uh, why shouldn'tSasha be invited? Even if she's missing from the Academy's mailing list, I sincerely hope Soderbergh would kindly remind them. Crap, I may actually have to watch E!'s red carpet coverage this time around. The horror, the horror.
I dint know the GFE was such a big deal because its directtodvd (at least in Europe) and i never heard/read one word in the mainstream media about it. Grossed 700.000,-- Whatever. It has that funky green trailer so i guess its legit to call it a "movie". Invite her..
Did you know that Larry Flynt wasn't invited to the Academy awards when 'The people vs. Larry Flynt' was nominated? Woody Harrelson gave Larry Flynt HIS ticket to get in! And during the ceremony Larry hired an airplane to fly over the award show with a banner that read 'Mainstream, a bunch of scum bags' OR something of that nature. If they invite Sasha to the ceremony it'll be as meaningful as the first man on the moon for porn. Just sayin'
It was a big big film about Larry Flints life. Oliver Stone, Woody Harrelson, Edward Norton, Miss Cobains wife.. Not Larry Flint starring in a B-Movie. Thats a difference. Anyone knows or wants to know more about the other actors in TGFE? Anyone thinks it was a superb movie he would also have watched if there wasnt a pornstar in it? (Havent seen it so maybe it was) For gods sake invite her and get porn mainstream. Im looking forward to paramount bringing out titles like "Yummy down on this" and "Jerry Bruckheimers Pussy massacre" or Julia Roberts starring in an upcoming Evil Angel flick ;) Its fun to see pornstars in music videos and even more fun to watch celebrity porn but thats it for me. Enuv crossover EDIT: Its a little hard for me to point out what im talking about because my english is crappy as f***. Lets try it this way: What would be the benefits for porn if Sasha would cross over and gets as big as Halle Berry for example? Arnold Schwarzenegger was the muthaf***n Terminator, now is Governour. What this means to me: He wont be the Terminator again... Thats it, no benefits for me or CA Edited by - sponsch on 8/29/2009 6:02:34 AM

Dude, Steven Soderbergh directed GFE, so it's far from a B-Movie. A low-budget indie movie sure, but not a B-Movie. I think you're stressing about this porn/mainstream thing a lot more than is necessary. Chill.
Sasha Grey hasn't been on the boards for awhile. Does Anyone know where she these days??

She should strike while the iron's hot. Right now, Sasha is probably being introduced to a lot of other influential people in Hollywood. If she goes exclusively mainstream, she can easily make 100 times more than she'd ever make in porn alone.
She should definitely be invited to the Academy Awards. She was in an indie film made by a former Oscar winner.

I read where Sasha said she's looking for a mainstream agent. There's also a rumor circulating that she's being considered for a role in the remake of An American Werewolf in London, the rights to which were just purchased by Harvey Weinstein.
Jesus fucking Christ she's going to be, possibly, in a remake of that (cult) classic? I hope she is. Seriously that would be amazing. I wish Sasha would post here. But we have to face it: She's too good for us now: She's mainstream. =***( Edited by - NathanielFisher on 8/31/2009 2:17:42 AM
she's a hipster, she was too good for us already, hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! I kid, I kid. Sasha continues to grow on me.

How is Sasha making these connections with powerful Hollywood types? Everyone else in porn would be happy if Pauley Shore gave them the time of day. Meanwhile, Sasha's cutting deals with Steven Soderbergh.
