Just one more thing I must confess. I do not find condums at all "romantic". for dicknjane "romance in porn" really involves all of this and is on topic. we want the people in scenes to treat each other with respect and enjoy their "work". we don't want to feel that we are sponsoring/supporting an industry that has no regard for and uses the people who work in it and then discards them like some object when they are done using them.

Pagoda and Melpster, In a quest to get more of this chemistry.... I've found it best to simply have me, and the talent involved, when doing a shoot. Sort of like... just me and some friends hanging out... comfortable, casual, and intimate.
And, though I generally shoot more than one scene a day, I opt to have everything very well scheduled, leaving plenty of time to focus on the one scene at a time. Of course, some talent arrives early, others arrive late, and some don't show at all. So, I just do my best to deal with that, but while shooting, keeping my head free and clear of anything outside of that specific scene. I guess it's like a good male performer... and good sex... while you're fucking that girl, there is no other girl in the world. The focus and attention is all about those in that room.
Also... I generally get to know the girl a bit before shooting her, while she's in make-up, while we're picking out wardrobe, etc. I do wish I had more time to get to know the girls, and is probably why I love working with girls who I already know and really enjoyed the first time around. Katja Kassin and I recently shot a really hot scene, with Randy Spears. This same sort of connection really works for me on the male talent front as well. Because I feel so comfortable with Katja and Randy... because, in a way, we've been like old lovers (having done several scenes together now)... I know what they like and don't. I know Katja can take a great pile-driver, and I know Randy can give one. Also, I stopped planning a scene out long ago. I simply tell them to fuck each other and I'll move with them. Of course, hands down to the male talent I've so come to love and appreciate! It takes a real stud to do this! Basically, I let the man be the man... with me serving as his dutiful naughty "girlfriend." And, my gonzo style... with me involved in the scene verbally helps this... as I can feel what he wants and where he's going and help to guide the girl, or if there's really something I want from the boy, or see a way the girls can please him, I can do so spontaneously.

We know you are under pressure to make your gonzo videos have high appeal to the predominant male audience out there which means we rarely see the male on camera. I want to let you know that the way we found your videos is we were tired of all the new male directors whose directing is so cookie cutter that every scene and every video is the same. So we started looking for female directors thinking they would be more sensitive, get the romance on screen and maybe not insist on having the skullfucking, gagging, slapping, anal gaping and rough sex be the dominant focus of every scene. The problem is the women directors are working in the same system and tend to want to compete with what the male directors are turning out .... and so more cookie cutting scenes. The interest in this thread demonstrates there are growing numbers of men and women out there looking for something "more romantic". I'm surprised there isn't already much more porn of the kind requested by many in this thread. After all, this is an industry that caters to so many fetishes, why not try to satisfy those of us that think good foreplay rarely starts by the male jamming his dick all the way down the girl's throat.
