When I was working, our union contract allowed one sick day per month. Some folks used them as soon as they accumulated. One guy never used his, coming into work sick and making everyone one else sick as well. He never retired. Last year, he died at home one night from a stroke, falling out of his chair. I support collective bargaining for sex workers. Most circuit court judges will see things your way if you bargain collectively rather than as individuals. That's the difference between being an "at will" employee and a "just cause" employee. A union.

Not the first time we have heard something like this. Knowing the backstories makes it hard to enjoy the scenes. It is important to realize that the agent works for you. Not the other way around. I remember Dana DeArmond saying something to that effect and it stood out to me.
Yeah, this is Lana's thread so it's perfectly fine for her to come here and give updates on what's going on. She also has the right to defend herself against defamation when some people are trying to politely and carefully imply that she is a liar.

You will notice that in the first two comments she just mentioned that she is leaving Speigler because " It is what's best for my heart & my health" (quote) and "will be able to make choices that are good for Lana" (quote) and said nothing more than that. It is after that, which the back and forth discussion about Speigler happened and some people started to vigorously defending Speigler and in a concealed manner tried to accuse her of lying. Like Janitor above said that, this is her thread and she has full right to update us with any news, as well as, if someone is defaming her or making suggestions that she is in the wrong, try to defend herself. ^Thank You @Janitor..It is really great to see that coming from you. Never the less I guess the thread needs to stop the arguments and focus on Lana more. Hoping for the best for her and her career. Good rule of thumb to bear in mind here, and in life generally: People don't usually admit to shit that makes them look really bad. Even to their closest associates. I'm sure the Spiegler/Lana parting of ways is going to continue to be discussed, but just something to remember in these heated conversations. The Stoya/James Deen allegations continue to be hotly debated but we will never definitively know unless James says "I am a rapist who treated my previous partners like shit!" Or Stoya says "I am a liar with an ax to grind!" Which neither is going to do either publicly or behind closed doors, because they have too much at stake. We simply believe the narrative we want to believe, what's more palatable to us for our own reasons. All of us. It was my impression before now, merely as an online observer, that Spiegler was nothing but a stand up agent who was/is loved by the girls who are represented by him. I follow Jessie Andrews pretty closely, inside and outside of porn, and she's always had a ton of affection for him. Ditto Dana DeArmond, Asa Akira and other women I follow who have not only been represented by him in this industry, but consider him a friend and a mentor. He's always seemed like a professional and not a bullshitter. I'm not privy to other info so I formed my opinion on that basis. I don't care if he dropped Lana or she dropped him because she was becoming too sick, too overwhelmed, and not receiving adequate support. They're both plausible. When I saw those Dogfart pics a few days ago with her obviously red, infected eye, I felt very uneasy. The tweets over time about health issues speak for themselves as far as I'm concerned. She reached a point of maximum overload and as fans we should support her and reflect on the demands we make of these women as consumers, and not only when they stand up and say they're burned the fuck out. I know I will. I try to be an ethical consumer as it is, but truth be told I really don't know what these performers are thinking and feeling during their scenes. When I can see the discomfort or ill health with my own eyes I take it seriously. (Also sorry for the long post but this gave me a lot to think about.) ^ OK I went and re-read the comment and yes he did say he did some investigation on his own. So what may have this 'investigation" of his entailed? Most probably talking with Speigler? Now he is believing in whatever Speigler (probably) said to him and on the other hand advising us not to believe in what Lana has been again and again saying. Unless he has gone and fact checked both sides and checked their proofs about the story, accepting Speigler's version of the story and saying that she has been "dropped" pretty much seems hypocritical. How do you know if Speigler may not be lying if you can assume Lana could be lying? If he has seen proofs about Speigler's version of the story, why not fully disclose it here. On the other hand Lana's version of the story seems to have some a lot of substance in it, specially because of her tweets and because of those photos of her red eyes. Also Lana has been saying she has proofs. I am not intending to say a lot about this issue, since I do not know the full story and Unless I am either Spiegler or Lana I will never know the full version, That's why I have been again and again intending to move away from the topic. But telling others to not believe one version of a story while he goes on to believe the other version of the story also does not sound a great thing to do.
Christ........nobody knows the whole story. Doubtless we've all got our own personal take on this that isn't going to change if we spend another year bickering about it. In the wise words of Janitor....'Stop the bickering'. Can we please all (including you Sonofharpy) draw a line under this and move on?!
I have always been intending to and have also been trying to do so by posting links to her new scenes and all, but somebody just needs to bring it up and quote past posts and start it all over again. Those who don't care about it can keep not caring. When Lana aired this out she was probably looking for support so if people feel inclined to state their support let them do so. People will move on when it's played out or the mods demand it. It's relevant and new right now and the performer herself was contributing to the thread. People are just saying what they think. Last I looked that James Deen/Stoya thread was still going strong.
There's a completely separate forum created for all the Deen/Stoya stuff. Could you please start your own similar thread if you feel that way and let the rest of us move on!

I don't really see a controversy here. Spiegler clearly requires his girls to do certain things. If you're not willing to do certain things then he won't represent you. So Lana isn't willing to do some and they went their separate ways. Works for both parties.

But I think now some of the guys may not want to post comments about watching one of her scenes or enjoying it, or asking her to do something (how can we? some of us kinda promised :( ) .....
