No, I'm back at the office/post production facility. She was out at the PRC (Pasadena Recovery Center). The cast is fairly isolated so that there is as little outside interference as possible.
SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD I don't really know....BUT Ten bucks that Bangmebros.com and pornoprafalatics.com already got there monies worth out of her.
^Awww, now don't be rude. The premiere episode has been available at VH1's website for the last few days...Episode 1 No way would I watch this if Penny/Jennie weren't on it, but she was once my favorite performer and I'm addicted to her blog so I'm compelled to watch. Nothing painful in the first episode - just everyone arriving and a short individual session with Dr. Drew. Well, she does cry. It's nothing she hasn't written about extensively in her blogs - her inability to have an intimate relationship with anyone. It's sort of odd that she's the most seductively dressed of the group and the only one busted for bringing a sex toy and knee pads (?!) haha. Edited by - savoy on 11/1/2009 8:31:19 PM
Maybe its disturbing to just me. But I find it kinda crazy (and not in a ha ha way) that I am watching a VH1 show on Sex Addiction at the same time I am lurking on a board geared towards pornography. Granted, I am not as far as some of the people on the show. But its almost ironic. I hope it all works out for the folks on the show.
Ya know, for nearly the entirety of that hour, I was in agony. Pretty much hated everything about it, save for the scenes where they're socializing in the rehab center. But every time Dr. Drew appeared on-screen, I wanted to hang myself. Not because of Dr. Drew himself, but rather the mind-numbing crap that some of these people were saying during their interviews. And then, like some magical Hail Mary pass, the show found a way to fucking hook me in the closing minutes. I guess I'll be watching next week.
I noticed that too! Did they run heroin ads during the first "Rehab"? Jesus, that was in bad taste. I do recall a journalist writing about the show's hypocrisy. That they are treating people for sex addiction, but they showcase sexual clips throughout. That was totally Tory Lane. If you go to the show's site, there's an interview with Dr. Drew and he mentions that Penny had plans to sabotage the show and try to make some "Viva La Sex!" disruption. Just curious, have you ever been in therapy? Unfortunately, it's not just a TV move. I've seen a handful of therapists and a couple of psychiatrists during my lifetime and more than one has done that. They use silence and pauses like kur-razy. It must be a tool they are taught.
Oh and the stare. I forgot to mention "the stare". They just look at you while they say nothing and wait for you to speak. Then they pick the most painful thing you alluded to and offer a sympathetic response about it and then stare some more.
Just finished watching the DVR of this first show... Absolutely HORRIBLE. Quite honestly, this is the WORST show that I have seen on t.v. in a very long time...and that is saying a LOT... we're talking "Tool Academy", "Rock of Love Bus", etc. ... this one is worse. I don't even know where to start...but I know where to stop--and that's watching. Ugh!
Eh - I don't think you're gonna win with this demographic. It's definitely a chick show. I would definitely not rate it as the worst show ever. I could actually watch the whole episode. I can't watch "Rock of Love Bus" or "Tool Academy" or that Antonio show. Still wouldn't watch it without Penny, cause I usually don't like spending my free time seeing people be miserable, cry, argue and smoke a lot. mm: just a few days. still adjusting. thanks.
In retrospect, perhaps I was being a bit hyperbolic. It is a very bad show--IMO--no doubt...but later in the evening I saw "The Insider" with John Gosselin's girlfriend on it as some sort of guest host and realized that my statements about this VH1 show were overblown. Certainly..."The Insider" is worse...as are countless others--now that I have had to the chance to evaluate it with a clear mind. I do still think it's awful, though.

I caught it last night. It looked like Tory Lane dropped her off... and she's not a sex addict??? Actually when hey had the one guy who did nothing but watch porn on his computer, I thought of about 98% of this forum. I wonder if Dr. Drew could help Oldmule with his obsession with trailers. I'm sure Graham would drop him off personally!
I found online an Interview Jennie Kectham (Penny Flame) did. It's roughly 30 mins into the podcast and her chat goes for about 10 mins... http://www.gentlemensclubpodcast.com/ Maybe I should see if I could track her down for an interview via SKYPE (chances are though the request might get rejected as she's probably doing heaps of interviews now!). IF (and a big IF) she said yes, would you guys be open to a thread from where the fans could ask her questions and for me to edit and upload it as an 'official' ADT Podcast? Silence makes people uncomfortable. You learn how to get people to talk in Intro Psychology courses. You don't need a degree to get someone to spill their guts at you, just some basic human engineering techniques. #themoreyouknow That said, show wasn't terrible, but damn the cast annoyed the hell out of me.

^Having watched 2 shows it is clear the cast members are rather annoyed at themselves. I've been a Penny Flame fan for a very long time. I have read most of her blogs. The http://www.becommingjennie.com, which was begun after her therapy is quite revealing. She has been clean, sober and celibate for nearly a year now and I hope she finds continued peace. I found her comments during the 2nd show very moving. She lost her virginity at 12 and, because it felt good, she then fucked every boy in middle school, earning herself the playground ditty, "1 2 3 4 Jennie Ketcham is a whore". It kind of takes the shine off what it means to be an A-list pornstar. I found the stories of the rest of her cast mates to be very moving as well.
I'm watching the show, and I watched the last two rehab shows too, but I watch a lot of crap (it's no worse than the crap that people think is good because it wins Emmys). I cannot stand the way Dr. Drew puts words into their mouths, and does the "pouty face" thing. It really makes me want to hit something. That's why I was so thrilled to see that English guy call him out on it last episode - that shit was awesome. I had to rewind it and watch it again.
I think I remember reading about her losing her virginity at 12 before and she joked in some BTS about looking around a room at school and realizing that she had taken the virginity of most of the boys there. The only thing that surprised me was the age of the boys. I guess sex remained a game for her and she never matured past that. She was such a fun performer. Makes you think that her entire adult career was just an extension of her 12-year-old attitude towards sex. Kinda makes me feel icky about enjoying her so much. GGG - I wanted to slap that pouty lip off of Dr. Drew's face. What professional does that? I take back anything I said that even remotely resembled defending him.
I've only watched the first episode, but I thought it was poorly done. They could have condensed all the initial testimonials in a group setting and made it half of the episode. The other half should have established some base connections and initial social interactions and tensions. Otherwise, I commend Penny for being there and exposing her more personal life to America. She's the only person in the cast that I thought was remotely interesting.

You had something to do with that show? Is that Kari Ann Whoever-the-fuck as much of a cunt as she seemed in the second episode? As far as the Flame goes, I thought it was interesting that she mentioned that just before the taping started, she had been in Arizona, looking for love or something like that. I thought she had vowed never to return there, after having to do time for the drunk-jet-skiing incident. Must have been a very powerful booty call . . .
Yes, she is trying and yes, I am I work on the show, and the upcoming Celebrity Rehab 3 and Sober House 2. It's a job. Edited by - jrsl76 on 11/11/2009 4:32:05 PM

Actually on her blog today she said that it has been 7 months, which confirms what you posted. She also said that it was difficult watching herself back then, since she has come a long way.
