Slap Happy and Rough Sex's DVDs got rated a 6.00 also.
(My scale for XXX is 6.00 to 10.00)

I did quite reviewing Anabolic/Diabolic and Red Light District. (Have just recently started reviewing RLD again).

I have talked to my local distributor about various DVDs over the years.

I have been consistantly against rough sex and choking!

Instead why don't you only review the movies you like and ignore the ones you know you won't like? I mean why review a movie called Donkey Punch if you're against punching? It would be like me reviewing a Vivid movie, if I were a reviewer that is.
Why do you feel you have to be this crusader? Why ruin it for those who enjoy these kind of movies?

Poor Den! He's just a guy with a wesbite who writes about porno. I can't even be consistent in my professional life as a music critic -- much less in what I like or dislike in porn. I like shoes. Ramsey likes feet. And if donkeys are outlawed, only outlaws will be donkeys.

Den seems to be tilting against windmills for one reason: he likes the girls. That makes him something of a misfit in modern porn it seems, but doesn't prevent his site from being popular and useful.

For some reason I keep thinking of George Carlin's Seven Dirty Words when reading this thread. There's money to be made from the shock and outrage of others even if the product itself isn't very interesting.

Donkey Punch 2 will be released but I doubt it will go much further as a series: the concept relies of shock value and that wears off quickly.

Well admidst all this passive nansy-pansy shadowboxing, I decided to actually DO something about this.

I bought 4 copies of this DVD although it was difficult to locate a copy. Then I printed out this entire thread, Alex's original thread and every other thread I could find that discussed it, including the one over on Chatworth's own cess-pool of a web forum and the referenced Mike South article. I further created a list of what I deem to be other films that show graphic depictions of abusive, violent and physically harmful behaviors towards women, including hard slapping (which can cause brain damage or whiplash if not done properly) and choking of the female talent involved, along with links to trailers and other information about these offensive films. I also included typed transcripts of Alex Divine's communication with her attacker during the video scene where her attacker repeatedly hits her despite her pleas to stop.

I then sent these care packages this morning, along with a formal letter of complaint about this incident, to the following individuals, asking them to please investigate the matter further:

Kim Gandy, President - National Organization for Women (N.O.W.)
Johnathan Raven, Director of Victims Services for the State of California
Bill Lockyer, Office of Attorney General for the State of California

Doing my part to stamp out this vile, reprehensible attack against innocent women like Alex. Hopefully, the Victims Rights advocacy group or N.O.W. will help/encourage her to file the appropriate charges. If you can think of anyone else I should foward this information to, please advise.

It sounds like you've gotten enough self-righteousness in there to keep yourself satisfied for at least the next 15 minutes.

PS. Did you actually watch her scene to see what the content was like, or did you just believe what you read on a porn forum somewhere?

Really? You did that?
As contemptible as beating up girls is I really think taking it to authorities is best left to those directly involved. In some places the police can prosecute domestic assault cases whether the victim wants to press charges or not. It leads to alot of cases that shouldn't exist and fabrications on the part of officials more interested in their careers than any sense of justice. I'm afraid doing this could have a similar effect on porn. It's ultimately the filmmakers' fault for bringing it about, a very dumb idea.

Just because of sickandtired, I'm going to buy 4 copies of Donkey Punch and furiously jerk off to the Alex Devine scene every day for the next month, and I suggest that every other member on this board do the same if they believe in free speeh.

If you do not buy Donkey Punch, the terrorists have won.®

Now I think I should send Kim Gandy Baker's Dozen 7, she'll like that too.

Did anyone else notice that he bought four copies but only mailed out three?

Free fucking speech and terrorists?!?!
With how many people will read this thread i'm satisfied to know that everyone will know you are a moron.
I had already said earlier in this thread that if this got out to the wrong person or people then it could do a lot of damage.

The trigger point of all this was a scene from a film where a girl gets pnched.
Where did you think it would end??

SickandTired... for all the flaming you'll be getting for acting on your beliefs, I for one have to commend you.

"They're gonna take our porn!" If this is really the tipping point for anti-porn crusaders and the industry is shut down, as some fear, I'll be sad; I like porn, and I'm not gonna deny that rough sex can be arousing to watch. But if that happens, you're not going to be the one to credit/blame. It's either an eventuality, or a never-will-happen due to the wonderful first amendment.

But as far as I'm concerned, free speech ends at profiting off of physically harming others. I happened upon the trailer for "Donkey Punch" because my all-time favorite performer, the supremely beautiful Haley Scott, was in it. I figured, "rough sex, okay, sounds watchable, especially with Deja Daire too." Then I saw Haley in tears - and it didn't look like the simple "gagging and mascara running" tears - and my stomach turned.

I know the girls consented and got paid for this. I DON'T CARE. IT DOES NOT MATTER. Is it being anti-free-choice or demeaning women to say they don't have the right to choose to pay to be beaten? Maybe, but again, I see the right to free choice ending where people get seriously hurt. The money being exchanged is 100% irrelevant.

Again, I enjoy seeing some rough sex; despite all of my rambling here, I'm not claiming any sense of moral purity or perfection. But there's a world of difference between Donkey Punch and rough sex that the girls enjoy, or at least tolerate, get paid for, and is done with controlled risks that make the danger of serious harm negligible.

As far as I'm concerned, you're to be lauded for your role in this, for at least attempting to make a change. There is nothing arousing about seeing a woman sobbing and crying out in pain. And there is nothing that condones assaulting a woman who has explicitly informed you that a certain act could mean serious harm to her. To each and every person here who has spoken out against this movie, thank you for proving that most porn fans don't fit the "heartless, sick pervert" stereotype that is all too common.

They shoot that kind of scene in mainstream all the time. It's the explicit sex that differentiates porn from mainstream. If anything this is closer to mainstream than most porn since porn rarely contains violence, gunfire, murders, etc.

Should anyone in this thread actually get the courage to watch this I'd be interested in knowing if Alex was ever in more danger than she'd be walking down the sidewalk, where she might trip and fall and hit her head.

She's still on friendly terms with the director so I'm wondering if the actual scene might not be as bad as it is made out to be here.

I'm guessing both have other identities within this forum, but didn't want to be ostracized for their beliefs or actions.

Many opponents of porn try to argue that porn leads to rape and violence towards women. I don't think that's the case for most porn, but this type of stuff appeals to the people who would already be inclined to try that sort of thing, and I suppose it could push them to act out on their sick thoughts. I'm not going to try to make that argument, but it could be made. The political climate and the new make-up of the Supreme Court is ripe for the conservatives to get the pendulum swinging in the other direction.

Grip & Cram have suddenly become silent in this thread...

Actually, I've been lurking for several months since registering, and just never felt compelled to post until now. Of course, the whole premise of your theory would mean you may not believe me, but whatever. Voicing my opinion's all I really care about; if people think I'm someone else, well, so be it. A veteran voice might carry more weight than a first-time poster, anyway.
I've never believe that porn creates rapists, but it certainly could cultivate the belief that the acts are common or less outrageous among those individuals who are already prone to violence toward women. That's COULD. Not saying it for a fact, but I certainly don't think it's an outlandish argument or shouldn't be strongly considered.

The political climate and the new make-up of the Supreme Court make just about anything possible, I'm afraid. Of course, they're likely to go after the immoral acts of heterosexual sodomy that have ruined society before they actually ban all porn outright, but God (oh, the irony...) willing, the American people will be sane by then.

(Oh god, my second post and I'm already rambling like an egocentric loser...)

It would have been a little difficult to have TRANSCRIBED the commentary for the ENTIRE scene without watching it, don't you think?

For the record, a few things that may be of interest:

-Alex talks to the cameraman several times about French hitting her with "that hand" or "that ring." At least 5 times that I counted.

-Alex talks to French more than 8 times about hitting her with "that hand" or "that ring" for the scene. She does laugh about it once early on, but is definitely angry about it towards the end of the shoot.

-Alex threatens to "not finish the shoot" to the cameraman about 2/3 of the way thru the scene if French "uses that hand again."

-French tries to choke her a couple of times and she clearly says "don't choke me," to him...and he complies. He even says (staying "in character" it would seem) "I won't choke you" or "I won't hurt you," and complies with her request to not choke her. So clearly, he could understand her and, when he wished, not do things she asked. During one of the early anal entries she cries out in pain and asks for a break, and he complies again, clearly understanding her and withdraws from her anus.

-The part where she is hit on the "wrong" side of her head (seen in the trailer) occurs WHILE French comes in her ass. She says quite plainly "PLEASE STOP" and pulls away, but he's already come. The cameraman/director THEN starts talking and says "WAIT, RIGHT THERE" and then the scene cuts as Alex pulls away from French and accuses him of hitting her on "the wrong side." It should be noted that, contrary to some of the opinions presented here, French did NOT hit her in the "wrong side" of her head with his ring hand. He clearly hits her with his LEFT hand and his right is gripping her ass, with the ring clearly visible. It was still clearly a non-welcomed assault by Alex, but he didn't use his ring at all for that particular attack. From what I could see, at no time does his ring ever come into contact with her head for the entire shoot.

-After the above incident, the scene (with camera still rolling) continues with mayhem ensuing. Alex is upset (the camera is all over the place so hard to see facial expressions for this segment) and complaining about the incident, the director is upset that the money shot was screwed up (cum has already leaked out of her ass onto the black couch), so French is asked to re-insert his cock in her ass so they can shoot the "donkey punch" again (words spoken by the cameraman) and fake the orgasm. Alex clearly says "I don't give a shit about the donkey punch, just DONT HIT THIS SIDE." The director requests that she show French where not to hit her, she does, and they re-engage and fake the orgasm...again with a "donkey punch" but obviously not in the "wrong spot" this time.

-The ring is featured prominently in several of the shots. There are even a few closeups of JUST French's right hand with the ring on it.

-This is, obviously, a very rough scene. Alex does encourage and invite a lot of abuse verbally, even asking him to hit her stomach during a reverse cowgirl shot. And he "foot slaps" her head violently several times, some of which occurs while she lying on her back and laughing about it. The scene has escalating dialogue the entire time with her getting more and more upset about the ring, but it is interspersed with her also encouraging and/or laughing about some of the other abusive treatment. She even "disses" French about the taste of his ass several times.

-After the shot ends, Grip, Cram and Alex do a short scene where she is roughed up "playfully" by them (and appears to rough them up also) and they claim that "this cunt fucked up the scene right at the end." Again Alex makes some complaints (it sounds good-natured here to be honest) about getting hit in the "wrong spot," to which Cram replies with a slap to her head that "There's no wrong spot to hit a woman." They then have her lick up the cum that dripped out onto the couch and apologize to the viewers. The Johnson's then said that she fucked up the production although admit that "Alex did get a pretty good beating."

So yes....I watched it. I wish there had been another way to get what I felt I needed to properly file a complaint, but I feel like I did what I had to.

Oh and as for the fourth copy? I wanted to ensure that I sent only FACTORY SEALED copies to the recipients. I used the fourth one as my review copy. Garbage pickup-day for me is Friday...it went out in this morning's trash, where it belongs.

15 minutes of feeling good about myself? More like several hours of feeling terrible about the state of the industry to which I've contributed.

I'm pretty sure Malcolm McDowell didn't actually rape the woman in the first scene. I'm almost positive he didn't actually kill that homeless guy either. Above and beyond that obvious truth is the fact that Kubrick was making a statement about society in general whereas in Donkey Punch, there is no statement other than it's apparently fun to punch a girl in the back of the head while fucking her and the punch is not simulated by a trained stuntman, it's real and it's delivered by an untrained chimp hopped up on viagra.

That being said, much as I'm loathe to defend it, everyone who agreed to participate in the movie knew what they were getting into. That's enough to satisfy my Libertarian sensibility. I certainly don't condone it and the responsible members of the adult community should indeed condemn it but If a girl accepts a paycheck for being punched in the back of the head, regardless of how much she needs the money, she's an idiot plain and simple.

The easiest way to make sure that this never happens again is to not buy it. Even gleeful mysogynists won't make a sequel for no profit.

Goddamnit, I was trying to stay out of this one.

The problem is that while bigger companies have some more control over their sets - we have director, cameraman, assistant, make-up artist, someone holding the light etc - these underground companies have like a cameraman and a male performer, sometimes the same person. If things go to far - like it obviously did if this story is true (which I have no reason to doubt), with the ring staying on through the scene - then what can the girl do? Just walk off? If the male performer had no problem punching her while she pleaded for mercy, and the cameraman was not interfering, what would they do to her if she said she wanted to just leave? Raise her up and say 'Well... bummer... maybe next time then?' and watch her leave through the door?

If there's one thing that irritates the piss out of me it's the fatuous jerks who of course know that violence in mainstream movies is SIMULATED & performed by unionized, fully protected & trained STUNTMEN & WOMEN, yet still bring up your tiresome & tired rationalization.

(Yeah, it's a wonder Jet Li hasn't been ARRESTED, the way he breaks people's bones & shit in his movies, riiiight?)

& as for still being on friendly terms with the "director," if you want to call him that, anyone familiar with the tropes of domestic abuse -- not to mention pimpology 101 -- knows that victims tend to continue the cycle of abuse by drifting back towards their abusers.

Grip,

You have no regard for the women you pay to allow you to film men brutalizing them sexually. You have an audience that should be institutionalized as should you. It is people like you and your fans who cause the legislation and censorship of an industry that obviously needs more of it. 2257 will pale in comparison to the legislation and control that will succeed it in an attempt to keep people like you from turning free speech rights from legitimizing your pornographic videos which have of no artistic or redeeming value. And for the female porn stars who have posted in this thread defending this stuff, you have totally lost my respect and deserve no protection under the law, but your permissive attitude will bring it in a form you will not approve of. I say bring the house down ... this party is over.

I like meatholes, some max stuff(when there not that retarded teen/lipstick all over thing) or even the things like pissmops etc, but as long as both performer agree to do that, i saw forced entry from extreme associate, and even if there slapping in it, its still light, its only slapping, and we see them laught during the behind the scene, its all fake, its a theme movie, what actually make me think its that in the first post its mentioning ``punch`` , man i have nothing some slap over the face in rought face, light ones of course, but man not a punch...

You need to keep separate your different outrages: the risk in job-performance (first sentence) and the depiction of violence (second sentence). Those are different issues. And I think it is perfectly valid to look to Hollywood and society in general for analogies in both cases.

Real actors & actresses, and especially their stunt-doubles, regularly get bruises & bumps & cuts that are just part of the job and sometimes more serious injuries such as broken bones that are an accepted risk. Indeed someone dies every few years on a Hollywood set from performance-related injuries.

Society break down job-performance risk into three broad categories: unacceptably risky, acceptably risky if sufficient mitigation & compensation is involved, and completely acceptable risk. Activities with a significant likelihood of permanent disability are generally considered unacceptable. Jobs with a real chance of temporary disability such such as a broken bone – playing American football – are acceptable as long as safety measures are sufficient to keep it rare. An example of acceptable risk that nobody cares about might be a lumberjack getting a bruised pinky.

Given this context it is reasonable to argue that much of the roughhousing in porn does not constitute unacceptable or unreasonable risk, if sufficiently compensated (a big “if” to most people). Indeed the slapping isn't even the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of what bad things might result from doing porn shoot.

In this case I happen to agree that Alex should not have been allowed to do the scene because the soft spot on her head meant it was not possible for the director to know what the risks were. I realize porn directors do not often turn down cute girls who want to perform extreme sex scenes but this would have been a good time to do so. As for “Extreme Alex”, I think she might have been well advised to avoid something themed “Donkey Punch”, or perhaps spend her energy worrying about where Steve's cock had been prior to the shoot (probably the biggest risk factor for her).

As for depiction of violence I'll go right back to Hollywood. If you argue that Kubrick's intent matters I'll refer instead to a flood Friday Slumber Party the 13th part 37, etc, that clearly have no more pretention to social commentary than Donky Punch . There is no end to gratuitous violence in Hollywood films far more explicit than can be found in porn without the slightest intent of doing anything more than making a buck. There are racks of Slasher videos at Blockbuster with violence every bit as pointless as that in Donky Punch .

PS. Under US law Jet Li cannot be arrested if the character he portrays breaks a bone of another character. If Jet Li break a stuntman's bone during filming that's considered part of the acceptable risk for that stuntman, as long as reasonable efforts were made to prevent that outcome and the stuntman compensated. Were Jet Li to break a stuntman's arm out of anger, even when filming a scene, he could certainly face arrest for battery (see Todd Bertuzzi). But you understand the distinctions, right?

"But you understand the distinctions, right?"

Um, yeah ... which would make your point .... what??? Just because someone is accidently hurt during the filming of a movie -- a stuntman in a fight, etc -- does NOT necessarily absolve the parties who hired & were involved of legal liability. It's called "reckless disregard," & even if the injured party agreed to participate, the parties responsible for their injury are not automatically shielded. Landis' accidental real-life bloodbath on the set of TWILIGHT ZONE being the most infamous example coming to mind here ...

On a slightly side-note, I'd like to point out to this poster & others not familiar with what I shoot that I am not against high-energy, power exchange-style scenes, nor "rough-housing." What I am in turns bored, irritated & alarmed by is the kind of juvenile yet vicious mysogny masquerading as creativity as practiced by Tony Malice/Grip Johnson (evidently the same person, surprise surprise).

dac,

We are simply porn fans and we like porn, but do not want to support people being abused, injured, mamed to make a buck and generally do not find that kind of porn titillating in any way. We can't figure out why it is so hard to take these beautiful women who love and enjoy sex and make a sexually titillating video with any guy who is reasonably decent looking and can operate his penis in this environment (I couldn't and I respect their ability). We think this is so simple and yet all of you directors make it look impossible. Why is that?

You are correct as always and we are on the same side, but can you please answer my question? Why is it soooo harrrd to make a very sexually exciting video given the talent you guys have to work with without getting into all of this circus sex and Donkey Punch stuff? Are you telling me that the majority of porns fans want this stuff? Please tell me this is a small segment of a large industry.

Well, I think I've said many times before, in what is unfortunately often a rather condescending tone, that while in general I believe in Sturgeon's Law ("99 percent of everything is crap"), I often feel like the percentage raises even higher in porn ... truth be told, porn is the fast-food of filmmaking (& pays like it in many, many cases!), & therefore doesn't attract very many of the best & brightest to its kitchens -- er, ah, "food preparation areas."

Also, the girls & the lifestyle that comes with it if you want it is a huge draw across the board to not only the horny yet talented but the bitter & mysogynistic, as well. Not to mention those who are simply confused, bored by their "straight careers" or lazy.

Of course the talented & ambitious can have some of these qualities, too ... but only in porn can you be successful by indulging shamelessly in your lesser -- & often less entertaining qualities.

In terms of the audience, I really do feel those who live only or mostly for the truly extreme stuff are in the minority -- though what percentage, I wouldn't hazard. There's also a significant revolving door audience for this kind of stuff among the curious who then decide they don't like it.

So there obviously is enough of an audience to support the production of material like this, if only because the actual production cost of such tripe is so low that you really don't need to sell all that many copies to make a profit -- & don't let anybody tell you that when it comes down to production costs versus sales returns, porn video isn't largely a nickel & dime business at this point.

Until recently, stuff like DONKEY PUNCH was strictly confined to underground production & distribution, very low profile, because of the imminent danger of prosecution, which at the very least threatens to make the entire venture not cost-effective.

WIth the loosening of societal standards, it's been much harder & more rare for the government to indulge in full-fledged, hot-point obscenity prosecutions. With the greatly diminished economic risk of producing such material, gonzo has gotten progressively harder, until some of it has begun to resemble the kind of underground semi-snuff porn we're discussing. If this material disturbs you -- as it does me -- your options are not limited to either loving it or tolerating it, no matter how the "hey, something for everybody" crowd would prefer to have it.

I am no fan & never have been of government regulation of speech. However, there's an old saying that "a free press belongs to the person who owns it." In other words, just because somebody chooses to engage in certain "speech," that doesn't mean that anyone else is under any legal or ethical restraint to assist in deseminating that speech, or endorse it, whether through active support or by the complicity of silence.

To challenge & protest speech that we find distasteful or unethical is in fact as much our right as those making the original speech in question.

Though Mike South loves to take credit for everything since the invention of the wheel, what happened in porn land last week was not merely the result of him calling the publisher of AVN, but numerous discussions in the porn industry, only some of which were carried out on websites. In other words, the community set its own standards -- & though individual reasons for setting that standard may vary, that again is certainly our right as citizens & individuals. One way to look at it is that the Miller test was applied without the need for judicial supervision. I think this is the happiest possible resolution to the issue.

(In terms of what kind of punishment or retribution the producers &/or male talent of DONKEY PUNCH should be subject to for possible physical assault, I'm not personally close enough to the situation to feel comfortable offering an opinion. )

I do think that people tend to get the kind of society they ask for. If you want a voice in shaping that society, you need to make your voice heard both through your wallet & participation in the open dialog that marks a free society.

Sorry if all this sounds corny, especially next to Malice's facile "shock" humor press releases. To add the necessary degree of condescension that this wouldn't be one of my posts without, it wasn't much work for me to master the same general style when I was a SCREW editor over ten years ago, but am happy to report the intervening years have granted me at least some degree of growth both personally & creatively ... if snotty, college-educated white dudes in that 25-35 "problem age" with a typically glib disdain for any point of view besides their own were really as omniscent as they imagine, they'd be achieving something more culturally significant & worthwhile -- "even" in the pornographic genre -- than DONKEY PUNCH, GAG FACTOR, et al.

David,

Thanks for your thoughtful response to far more than my question.

Relative to porn being a nickel and dime business ... name me a business in this global economy that is not nickel and dime other than oil .... in most businesses good financial management and a quality product priced competitively are the keys .... if China and India start producing high quality porn at their labor rates Katy bar the doors.

With regard to censorship and rules of conduct I much prefer industry adopted norms and standards of conduct to government censorship and regulation which only adds non-value adding costs thus making profitability more of a problem relative to global competition. Having said that, when the latest 2257 changes became law last year, I was angry and wrote to my congressman to protest unecessary and inneffective legislation; but now I am almost motivated to write asking for more regulation of an industry out of control because of Donkey Punch.

David, you are obviously intelligent as are many of the heads of major studios. I believe that if you got your heads together, you could come up with a way to put some bounds on the production and distribution of porn in this country. My own distributor Adult DVD Empire does not have Donkey Punch available and I intend to write to them to encourage them to establish standards for what they offer to their customers with specific reference to Donkey Punch and its producers as an example of what not to offer. I believe if there is no distribution stream for "stuff" that is outside the "self imposed boundaries", it will stop.

It will be interesting to see what the industry decides to do with this "issue". I'm sure based on this thread many are watching and waiting. I hate government regulation with a passion, but believe their would be no control of the people who work in the porn industry if it were not for government regulation and the threat of more of it.

Here is the email I sent to Adult DVD Empire this morning.

Adult DVD Empire Management,

As you know I enjoy my ADE membership and the porn videos your site offers to
its members.

There is a raging debate on Adult DVD Talk over a recently released Chatsworth
Pictures video filmed by Grip and Cram Johnson.

Here is an excerpt of Grip and Cram's statement about the video:
"At first, I thought the ‘donkey punch’ was just another bedtime story my father
had told me as a child," reflects Grip Johnson, "But, just as I was about to
give up hope, I discovered that if you give women lots of money and a chance to
avoid any real work or responsibility, they will let you beat the shit out of
them. Cram and I began to document this phenomenon immediately."

donkey Punch stars human punching bags Rachel Luv, Deja Daire, Alex Divine, and
Haley Scott.

I just want to express my extreme disapproval for this type of porn and my
desire to do whatever I can to discourage it's distribution. I am pleased to
see that ADE does not distribute Chatsworth Picutures and hope this is because
you have established some standards for the type of videos you offer on your
site to ADE customers. Can you please comment on ADE's policies in this regard?

Thank you,

XXXXXXXX a concerned customer

I liked what David Aaron Clark said about free speech and our ability to express it. I feel like I have done something now to discourage producers of videos like "Donkey Punch" and I would encourage other porn consumers to do the same with their porn video provider.

I am very disappointed in myself.

I confess to having read each and every post in this thread...some more than once. And while I know that Donkey Punch was never a DVD that would ever have made it to my viewing screen, I just have not generated any strong reaction to this matter. It does sicken me a little that there are some who eagerly seek this stuff out, but there are lots of things in porn (and in life) for which I can offer no explanation and for which I have no understanding. At these intervals, I somewhat feebly attempt to defend the rights of people to create or view this stuff.

The fact is that the situation appears unfortunate and yes, there was insensitivity involved. However, porn is an adult profession peopled with sometimes less than adult "professionals." Knowing this, all performers and all involved must be proactive and ready to make difficult decisions and actions in order to protect their own well-being. Should these women be subjected to this stuff? Only if they care to. But in an industry as diverse as this, there are going to be miscommunications and miscues and at some point we can only do so much to make it possible for a performer to "Just Say No." They must then take it upon themselves to do so - and to do whatever they feel justified in doing to either remedy the situation and/or prevent it from happening to others.

I know I sound wishy-washy here, and I find it strange that I cannot seem to find it in me to attack these two gentleman for their part in this - but the truth is there are ways to avoid this from happening again that does not preclude anyone else's right to be entertained/shocked/tittilated by this shit.

On a lighter note, DAC , you have done it to me once again! I mentioned in my recent review of Asian Persuasion that your work sometimes makes me feel guilty for not always watching more well-crafted porn. Now you have my conscience burning on my inability to castigate these two ruffians!

There was a time in my life when I had very definite feelings on things...

This thread makes me think of another thing. If Steven French should be in jail than what should happen to Coffee Ron and his Go Fuck Yourself serie?

"I told you so's", and after the fact advice might not seem to do anyone any good. However, if anyone else should ever find yourself in a situation where you are being physically abused or assaulted in ways not discussed prior to the shoot, I would suggest the following course of action:
Leave the set immediately and file a police report, preferably stopping at a medical facility on the way. Of course, the police probably won't take an incident at a hardcore porn shoot too seriously, although there are hundreds or personal injury attorneys who certainly will. Personal injury attorneys work for a percentage of what they get for you and are, therfore, relentless bastards.
The only way you stop these overgrown mommy-haters from hurting more women is to hit them where it matters to them- in their very modest personal bank accounts.

I would believe the Industry as a whole, or be it the part willing, needs to disassociate itself from these rogue manipulators of gratuitous violence, along with any of its members who opt to walk down it's heinous path, just as Hollywood long ago, partitioned itself from Porn.

It needs to respond to this growing threat, or rest assured, more of the same will continue sprouting up along the crevices of its doorstep, to ride unabated, upon the coattails of this outcast, and still seemingly tolerated industry.

While some may grudgingly scoff at any distinction between this fetish to any other, and half this forum stands in opposition, I'm afraid it means little until the industry elects to, as Imo the time has finally come to define itself, or at least to distinguish what it is not.

That such violence has no part in it, nor what those of this diverse, and exceedingly subjective field, have chose to associate, produce, or promote.

Coffee Ron packs a wallop for sure but he also respects the talents limits, if I asked him to not hit me in a certain spot he wouldn't. I have never had a problem with steve french I liked him in fact. I think its this specific situation that is causing outrage. This title is diffrent in many ways than go fuck yourself, but the only way its diffrent that I care about is that I know Alex Devine as a human and she asked him to stop and he didn't.

I've watched some of the Coffee Ron stuff and while I can't say that it's "for me," personally, I didn't feel when I was watching it that the women involved were doing something they didn't want to do. And you can tell from how sporadic the series is that it takes a while to line up talent that wants to deal with the "Dr. Coffee Ron" therapy. He's a sensible guy who is keenly aware of the issues and where the lines are drawn.

I'm not into bloody gum blowjobs, but to each his/her own -- within pre-set limits agreed upon between consenting grown-ups. I probably worry more about some of the people who find this material their exclusive outlet for sexual release. but if they are home whacking, at least they aren't at the 7-11 abducting 13 year olds, right?

(some of this is in jest ... I think).

The only argue´s I can totally sign are the one´s from JewelDeNyle ( PXP - Fan ) as she said :

I'm sorry but this takes it to far a smack or some hair pulling is cool but a closed fist is out of the question that's just careless and stupid. I don't condone this type of brutality it's not sexy or hot it's ghetto.

...and her post before.

I´m into BD/DS/SM myself since years and there´s ONE rule : SSC ( safe, sane, consensual ) . And there´s always a *safe-word * . I never would treat my Sub the way this asshole did with Alex, I respect my Sub for her descision to be submissive and she respects me to be dominant.

Everything else is BULLSHIT .

just my 2 cents.

I don't really have much to say on this subject.

What I hate is all these people who push the limits just for the sake of doing so. I mean with most things it's ok to do so, but don't go try to mix violence with porn. People who make the donkey punch videos are just going to make it harder for other companies to make Gonzo stuff and make the government come after us.

Obviously punching someone in the head in such movies is completly real and not acted as it sounds like for this movie. Couldn't they have easily make it look real but just acted it out? It's bad enough you are punching someone in the head, but yet you need to put on a huge gold ring first?! Obviously, any man who would do such a thing must hate women. Of course I almost feel that any man who would call a women a whore is the same way, but I know that's definitely not true! I imagine some women don't mind it, which is hard to believe. My friend is married and calls women in porn movies slut and whores and it makes me cringe. I can't stand that and he's not a woman hater or anything. I couldn't even force myself to saw such things. I've watched some Max Hardcore movies and I turn off the sound because I can't stand to hear what he says to women.

I'll never understand the USA and what they allow. They can have dozens of men cum inside some women and have it all drain out into a cup and have them drink it, but fisting is completely banned. Three dicks in the ass, but no fisting? Doesn't make sense. Also, how is it that they can have pissing on US websites but not sell it on DVD even by mail order? It seems these days you can get away with so much more if you just have a website and not sell products in stores.

I won't understand myself and other people either. It's so confusing. I still don't understand why I like the things I do. I'll admit to loving Japanese Bondage. The waxing, whipping and rope suspension. It's more like art to me and not all about the pain, where it seems to be completely different in the USA and europe. I even like to watch pissing and fisting movies. Some things I once thought was sick and wrong and degrading to women I now like. I eventually figured that as long as they like to do such things, then big deal.

I will admit though that I refuse to watch Rocco movies. They're too rough to me and I don't like seeing a guy put his foot on a women's head, choking her or putting her head in a toilet. Playful slapping is ok.

Even worse, if you could believe it I saw a Melissa Lauren scene directed by Chico Wang and actually disturbed me. Yet, i'm the guy who loved Japanese Bondage? Weird. I love that stuff and would never hurt a women in my life, hell, I don't even like killing bugs!

At least we're nowhere near as bad as JApanese Adult Videos. They even have hundreds of rape titles over there. Yet, they're all fake and acted though. I think that's one country that will pretty much allow everything.

Sorry, maybe a pointless message, but I'm bored.
