Of course it is, yet he can't afford to go freestyle in a press conference again. The press is smarter than he is. This press conference is off the threads topic but Remember this epic implosion? The press would kill him..

  How Stormy Daniels Out-Trumped Trump
"
"There's a familiar script for discrediting women who accuse powerful men. They're attacked as opportunistic and promiscuous, out to make a buck. If they deny any of that, it still ends up making the moral conversation about them.
Clifford owned her story and her life. Yes, she's stripped and had sex on camera for a living, a "legitimate — and legal, I'd like to point out — career." Yes, she's gotten job offers from her publicity: "Tell me one person who would turn down a job offer making more than they've been making."
 [...]
Clifford has used unshamability and quick-draw ripostes as a force field. When a critic on Twitter told her that "dumb whores go to hell," she shot back, "Glad I'm a smart one."

In this case, what other motivation is there? She is indeed making plenty of money off this, as the press keeps giving her all the attention she wants.

So because she is getting attention and paid for it, her story is less truthful? That is a straw mans argument if I have ever heard one.
If Trump had done nothing with either Stormy or Karen, then there would be no payments, much less ones from a lawyers own pocket. There would be no agreement with a spot for Two Scoops to sign under an alias.
That she is gaining notice and money from this situation in no way lessens what Trump and his minions have done in the mean time to cover it up.
And that is the key everyone seems to try to avoid discussing:
People care that the president is an amoral loser. They do care that information was concealed during an election process that, as recent elections have shown would have swayed voters.

I didn't make that argument. I don't know whether or not her story is true, neither do I care. The argument was that she's out to make a buck from the story whether it's true or not. As there is no other motivation from sharing this other than to profit from it, then that is indeed her motivation. The media loves hearing about sexual scandals that involve powerful people, so she is giving the media what they want while also getting rich from it.
Yes, people care about that, but I think everyone already knew that anyway. What people don't care about are the President's sexual proclivities.
If the media wants to publcize his alleged mishandling of campaign finds, Fine! If they want to publicize his alleged blackmail or extortion, Fine! If they want to publicize some other criminal allegation, Fine! But when all they want to do is have a pornstar talk about how the President supposedly likes spankings, or what gets him off in bed, then that shows that it's nothing more than an attempt to humiliate the President for the sake of media ratings and filling up her bank account.
When you have Anderson Cooper sitting there asking a pornstar whether or not the President of the United States used a condom when he fucked her before he was elected, and every media news outlet repeating it the next day, then let's not pretend that this about anything more than the media's obsession with glamorizing sex scandals, which is disapointing. We should be able to have higher expectations of our news media, not be disgusted by them.

And you didn't address a single point in my post. But of course, why should you when it's so much easier to distract with name-calling? That trick had gotten old.

I fail to see how wearing, or not wearing, a condom affects the 'glamour' of a sex scandal.
As to the question, itself, wearing a condom to fuck some woman other than your wife might be construed as demonstrating some concern to protect her from any unintended consequences of your philandering. We are talking about Donald Trump though, so, obviously, a pointless question.
As to the media in general, perhaps they are not obsessed with glamorizing sex scandals so much as they are with being relevant to their readers and viewers. In short, to misquote the Bard, the fault lies not with the media but with ourselves.

It serves to make it a more "juicy" story and serves to further feed the hunger of Trump-haters by publicly discussing detailed acts that would normally be kept private, thereby humiliating him. It's not enough that we know that he fucked a pornstar. No, but the media has to make sure to tell the whole world how he fucked her. Does he like spankings? How about feet? How big is his dick? Is he into anal, armpits, bush, cross-dressing, ball gags, or diapers? Even though none of this is important or newsworthy, tell us every embarrassing secret you can about sex with the President, and we'll pay you for it, Stormy.
If they were concerned about being relevant, then this wouldn't be news. Relevant news would be elected leaders and lawmakers telling us how this affair may be connected with some criminal activity and the consequences that may result if criminal activity exists, or constituents explaining how the affair has dimished their trust in the President, etc. Relevant news is not having a pornstar dishing about the President's sexual proclivities for the sake of ratings and public amusement.
OK, so now we all know that Trump likes to be spanked with a magazine, which really isn't any worse than a lot of the other stuff we already knew about him. Other than giving Stormy Daniels publicity and money, what does this have to do with anything?

^Something tells me that those things either can't be proven or that they aren't crimes. Otherwise, the press would be focusing on them instead of asking a pornstar on national TV if she enjoyed fucking Donald Trump.

Now, that comment by the author was really to place the following article statements in context. But I notice you chose to ignore those.

Avenatti: FM45 popping champagne too soon
Stormy Daniels' attorney Michael Avenatti say President Trump and his attorney Michael Cohen are celebrating too soon after a court denied an attempt to depose the President.

^ Wow! I must get out of my bubble. So it's still a common mindset that a woman who is voluntarily in the sex industry, can't be sexualy assaulted.
From the article I linked to above, the author explained that in Stormy Daniels being an open porn actress, opponents couldn't use the usual "promiscuous" (read: greedy whore) label.

The more "forward" thinking person probably regards assault as assault. I would wager a large part of the nation thinks a this stupid bitch, that sex workers cannot be assaulted.
Look in the Leigh Raven thread, there are people on this board who don't think that was out of line. Sadly, it's a more common thought pattern than we'd like to think.

"Ms. Clifford made a point of emphasizing that she was "not a victim" in having sex with Mr. Trump, even though she described an encounter she was, at best, unenthusiastic about. "You put yourself in a bad situation and bad things happen, so you deserve this," she said."
Did she explain her thought process about deciding to have sex with him beyond this in the 60 minute interview? She says she consented because she put herself in a bad situation and should have known better?

Lawyer who cut deals for Daniels and McDougal says the whole truth has not been told
Davidson's other dealings (from the article):
For a time in the early 2000s, he represented boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao.
In 2008, he represented a woman who sold a sex video featuring herself and Verne Troyer, the actor who played "Mini Me" in the Austin Powers series.
In 2010, he was sued in civil court for trying to broker the sale of an X-rated video of MTV personality Tila Tequila. The case was settled and Davidson denied any wrongdoing.
In 2012, he was detained by FBI agents in a sting related to yet another racy video, this one featuring pro wrestler Hulk Hogan.

FM45 says he didn't know about Stormy Daniels payment
So, let me get this straight.
A lawyer has to get a home equity loan of $130,000 US to pay off a Pornstar to keep her mouth shut for an alleged affair with a billionaire? And said lawyer says that he did it out of love and friendship for said billionaire?
No wonder FM45 sleeps in a different room from Melania.

Not only that. A lawyer is ethically required to let his client know about settlements and settlement offers made on his behalf.
So, Stormy Daniels is now probably the most famous porn star in America. Is she now the most famous ever?
The only other candidates I can think of would be Linda Lovelace, Jenna Jameson, and maybe Bree Olsen.

FM45 says he didn't know about Stormy Daniels payment
I apologize if this is the same article that I linked previously.
An excerpt from the article:
President Donald Trump said on Thursday he did not know about a $130,000 payment made to the adult film actress Stormy Daniels for her silence, his first public acknowledgment of the scandal surrounding an alleged sexual affair that has plagued him for months.
"No," a terse Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One when questioned about his knowledge of the payment, which was made by his private attorney Michael Cohen in the month before the 2016 election.
The one word response broke a months-long public silence from Trump on the matter, though he's fumed about the issue in private and adamantly denied to his associates Daniels' claim he had an affair with her in 2006.
An agitated Trump tried to move quickly on -- "What else?" he asked after responding -- but reporters in the press cabin continued their questioning, asking why Cohen made the payment.
"You'll have to ask Michael Cohen," Trump said. "Michael is my attorney. You'll have to ask Michael."
Now, from what I've been reading and watching, it is my understanding that FM45 recognizes that Cohen is indeed his lawyer (see bold phrase). By saying that Cohen is his lawyer, FM45 must have been informed that there was a hush payment sent out to "PP".
Lawyers cannot do anything without their clients consent.
FM45 must have known about the payment. (see tux2's comment above).
So, another lie from FM45.

Stormy Daniels' attorney wants Trump questioned about hush money
He either knew nothing about any payouts, or refused to sign the NDA.
Since there was a signature line for him, he either knew or was going to be told about the NDA.
If Cohen had no intention of telling Trump, then the NDA is void because it was an agreement joined under false pretenses.
There is no middle ground. Can't have it both ways. Game Over.
Tick-Tock.

And? So far they haven't lied.
As history has proven time and again, the more you try to cover up and hide a story, the worse it gets. Of course he can't do that can he, because the likely hood is he broke several campaign laws so he has to try to suppress it. Then there's that whole lying daily about it.
