It's been up. She's no longer the talk of the town because people have forgotten about her and moved on. That's why she's desperately trying to revive it by publishing a book.
I don't know that despair comes into it. It seems far more likely that she's trying to cash in on her moment of fame.

^Of course that's what she's doing, and it comes off as desperate because she's doing everything she can to stay in the limelight when all she has to offer are sordid details of an affair with the President. It's the media's fault though. If they didn't keep giving her and her lawyer the attention that they crave, then we wouldn't have to keep hearing about these people.
The media wouldn't do it if people weren't buying it; enough people to make doing 'it' profitable. So, there's plenty of blame to go around, if you think assigning blame is necessary.

^She says she wrote the book because she didn't want people to think she was lying about the affair. I don't think anyone thinks she's lying. It's just that we don't care. Edited by - realtip on 10/9/2018 8:55:02 PM
I didn't even know about Daniels trying to sue Trump over this. "A US federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit from adult film actress Stormy Daniels in which she claimed that President Donald Trump defamed her when he suggested her allegation that she was threatened to stay quiet about their relationship was a lie. Daniels' libel lawsuit was over a tweet by Trump accusing her of "a total con job". The judge said the president was engaging in free speech." ""We will appeal the dismissal of the defamation cause of action and are confident in a reversal," Clifford's lawyer, Michael Avenatti, said in a statement. "There is something really rich in Trump relying on the First Amendment to justify defaming a woman." The judge awarded Trump reasonable attorney's fees." Her mistake was getting involved with the creep lawyer. Had she hired competent legal counsel this frivolous lawsuit would not have happened. Now instead fading back into obscurity, she's on the hook to pay Trump.
^ I actually believe it's a valid law that if you sue someone and are unsuccessful, you should have to pay their legal fees. Geraldo on Fox News. "Showman and ambitious Machiavellian porn lawyer Michael Avenatti has just learned an important lesson. It is easy to sue anyone, even the president of the United States. It is harder to prevail and even harder when, after you lose, the court orders you to pay the fees of opposing attorneys." "How and why can Avenatti afford to constantly harangue the president and spend so much on TV news shows hurling insults at Trump? Does he have a real job? Is his primary ambition to lay the groundwork for a run for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020" "I predict that before long Stormy Daniels will sue Avenatti or vice versa. "You got me into this." "No you did." A con job indeed." https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/trump-defeats-avenatti-and-stormy-daniels-again-heres-whats-next-for-the-controversial-duo

^I've been saying all along that Avenatti is nothing but an attention whore. His intention was never actually to be successful in a lawsuit against the President. He had to know that was a long shot. Rather, his intention was mainly to capitalize on Stormy Daniels' affair with the President to attract attention and publicity for her and for himself. Regardless of whether or not they actually win their lawsuit, their names and faces would already be out in the public and they would be famous. Sure, most women would not want to be famous for having an affair with the President as it normally carries a negative stigma. After all, look at what happened to Monica Lewinsky. But Stormy Daniels, being a pornstar, obviously doesn't care about stigmas. She's more than happy to tell the whole world every detail of her affair as long as she can get money and publicity from it. As a result, she was able to publish a book that made it onto the New York Times bestseller list. They've both been on every news and talk show on TV. They both now have thousands of Twitter followers who like and retweet everything they say. People are saying he should run for President. None of these things would ever have happened without all the media publicity they've been receiving from letting the whole world know about the affair. So it was never about the lawsuit or winning anything. It was all about the attention and publicity, and the money and fame they can get from it. Now, even if they do have to pay Trump's legal fees, it won't matter. They have enough fanboys and crazy liberals worshipping them that someone will undoubtedly start up a GoFundMe account to raise the money for their legal expenses, so they won't have to worry about that either.
^ I have to admit, right from the start, I was wondering what Daniels and her lawyer were on about. Thanks helping those of us that are a bit slow. As for your last point, https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/stormy/ "I am attempting to speak honestly and openly to the American people about my relationship with now President Donald Trump and the intimidation and tactics used against me." "...this money is not going to me personally. Ever. It is only being used to cover the legal expenses, costs and potential damages. I don't have the vast resources to fight Mr. Trump and Mr. Cohen alone so I need to ask you to help"

^And it's already met more than half of its goal. I was reading the comments on the page and saw that some guy named Donald wrote, "Thank you Stormy and 16851.00 donators, I will finally get my money back with court fees paid by all of you, God Bless you all and MAGA!" Too funny!
^ I didn't think to look at the comments. I saw these. "Trump personally thanks all you geniuses for making sure his legal fees got paid :) you guys get dumber by the day - all 16,847 of you!!! I subtracted one for myself." "Stormy Daniels - an independent contractor who worked for Trump and actually got paid!!! You go, girl!" "Stay strong Stephanie and stay safe! Michael Avenatti and you are so brave!"
Daniels Protests In Baton Rouge It may not be Trump-related, but it it Stormy-related, so here you go. _______________________________________________________
The reports are accurate. It is just that both sides are trying to spin this as a victory when it is really more of a mutual defeat. The NDA was written and paid for to keep Daniels from talking. Daniels talked, kept the money anyways, and then sued Trump in order to keep the money on the grounds that the NDA wasn't valid. The judge dismissed the suit and ordered Daniels to return the money and to pay for Trump's legal costs. Daniels lost the suit and now needs to pay back the money. Trump, however, loses as well because the court has now officially ruled that the punishment for breaking the NDA is just the return of the hush money plus legal fees (well below the terms as laid out in the NDA itself).

Stormy responding to hecklers is one of the best things about Twitter. And no surprise she's a fuckload classier than the corrupt president, who so many others are afraid to take on. Go Stormy!
"accused ... of using a doctored document to scam a client out of nearly $US840,000, funneling money from a lawsuit settlement fund to his own personal use"
"Avenatti unwisely (and against the advice of attorneys who were actually knowledgeable) filed suit against Trump, arguing that the tweet damaged Daniels’ reputation by painting her as a liar."
I find this strange. If you allege something against someone, and they deny it, you can sue them on the basis that they're calling you a liar?
^I don't think she'd agree with that, given the threats and harassment she's endured. Yes, the publicity she's received made more well known than she was as an adult entertainer, but I doubt she'd feel the trade-off was worth it.
