Hi guys.
Thought I would drop in to clear some things up in here.
1. You need to understand how internships work on the street. First of all, I started off as a full time intern during the summer and then switched to part time while I finished my last semester at school. Then they gave me a full time offer, but I quit instead. Wall Street pays its interns approximately equally to first year analysts, minus the bonus. And they do 90% of their hiring from their internship pool. And the interns work -- they don't just get coffee. As a result, it's pretty damn hard to get an internship in the first place, much more so at a publicly traded blue chip firm like the one I was at. THAT'S why all the business journals picked the story up (also I guess because they think I'm hot). Had I been an intern at a BS brokerage in Long Island, no one would have cared. So while I wasn't like a money manager on the street, it's still appropriate to refer to me as the Wall Street Porn Star because it was not easy to get to where I was, ESPECIALLY considering I didn't come from an Ivy-League, target school.
2. People keep trying to discredit my degree and my group at the firm both here and in the news. First of all, salespeople on the Street make a shit ton of money and are have much better work-life balance than your bankers and analysts. I had to know and understand our hedge fund strategies and alternative asset classes just as much as an analyst would in order to be able to target institutions for asset raising. So to say that I was in marketing and not really on Wall Street is completely ridiculous. Further, my degree is in finance with a specialization in alternative investments. Alternatives are non-traditional asset classes (a.k.a not stocks or bonds) such as real estate, private equity, and hedge funds. They're becoming pretty popular investment vehicles due to their generally high returns and lack of as much regulatory oversight. Further, they tend to capitalize on inefficient markets which is where more money is typically made. The market for Coca-Cola stock would be considered an efficient market, because it's priced pretty well in accordance with its worth. The market for say, oil wells in Texas -- is not so efficient.
3. As a result, to say leaving Wall Street means I couldn't measure up or wasn't good at business is also ridiculous. Thank you to those of you who recognize my "canniness" in this regard. The adult industry is currently a highly inefficient market: supply doesn't exactly meet demand, and there are numerous frontiers and possible optimizations that have yet to be successfully exploited. My background helped me to recognize this, and once I threw my sexuality in to the equation I figured first creating a brand through performing would enable me to best learn the ins and outs of the industry and empower me to explore possible business ventures down the line. I could have made it on the Street -- but I'm kind of too disruptive/entrepreneurial by nature for that environment, and I didn't like the conservatism. It was purely cultural for me. Sex is what I love and business is what I love. My entrance was just a logical conclusion. I'm really excited to work with the industry and meet more of the performers -- they really are my kind of people and many of them are very, very smart and interesting. I think if we could successfully work together on things like product placement and better distribution, it could be pretty revolutionary for the industry and for all those apart of it.
4. I hope I have cleared up any notions that I was just trying to price myself higher for escorting and get my 15 minutes of fame. I didn't know I would get that much media attention or even any at all. I just figured my story would sell once people knew who I was. I got a bit lucky, and now I'm capitalizing on it like any good business person would do. I love doing porn. I hope the industry and the audience ends up liking me as much as I like it.
5. My boobs are fake and I got them young. Years of building upper body muscle from being particularly athletic on the pole sort of squished them and changed my upper body structure. So yes, I am getting a boob job soon to fix that, and may as well go bigger in the process. I scheduled the surgery before the media explosion -- I was actually hoping I would have more time to improve physically before I did any porn, but alas. And yes -- why pay for something that you can get other people to pay for? :)
6. My blowjob skills are actually pretty solid (though can always improve). I wish I produced more saliva but that's about it. Manuel's dick is like just past the point of being able to comfortable fit in my mouth, and I have kind of a small mouth. Hopefully I'll learn how to hyperextend my jaw haha. When you're actually getting a BJ, I promise you, you don't want the high speed vacuum treatment that you see in porn. Manuel and Mick had no problems staying hard in my mouth, for what it's worth. As for my riding, I don't know how you can say I'm not an active rider. I was on top a lot. Manuel made me grind more than ride -- I suspect because it's easier not to cum that way. At least that's what my bf says. I squat my ass off, so I have no issues "giddy-upping".
7. Speaking of squatting, I would like to get to at or near NPC level. My upper body development is pretty much there, but I'm not lean enough yet and my lower body development is less great considering I only started squatting half a year ago and I'm not near consistent enough. I'm getting better. I don't think there are enough fitness chicks in porn and niche markets are always good. I'd love to get in to fitness modeling at some point in a few years or so when I'm ready, if they'd have me.
8. It's cool to critique my first performance, but it would be more helpful if you backed it up with things I could improve upon. Because my bf is totally unhelpful he just thinks I look awesome and wants me to make more content ha.
9. My contract was unprecedented because it was with a mainstream company that could afford the expense. And their subscriber numbers were pretty impressive since my debut so I'm sure they got a decent return on their investment.
I can't think of anything else now. Thanks to all the supporters in this thread.

Welcome to the forum Veronica! I signed up for Evil Angel and watched the entirety of your debut scene. You're off to a promising start and I'm looking forward to more. Like I said I think your boobs are really nice, but if you think they can be improved who are we to argue? I'd just caution against going too big. Some people are into the cartoonish Jessica Rabbit look, but personally I think implants that look proportionate to the rest of a woman's body are the best. If you look at Asa Akira's success I think you'll see I'm not alone in that. She's the textbook example of a perfect boob job.
This bit of what you wrote caught my eye:
So you've already shot a new scene with Mick Blue? Awesome! I also saw a picture of you with Steve Holmes on twitter. Have you worked with him too? And I read in a press release that you'll be working with Stoya. Any details you can drop about that scene?
Thanks for contributing to the forum. Feel free to pop in from time to time.

The scene with Manuel is from my upcoming movie "Screwing Wall Street" to be distributed by Evil Angel. It features the scene with Manuel, and one each with Kayden, Stoya, and Mick. It will be available in April, with more scenes released prior to then.
I haven't worked with Steve Holmes -- yet!
As for boobs -- I think that's super duper subjective. My boyfriend for example LOVES big fake tits as long as they are well done. I happen to think that, while I am petite, I am quite muscular and compact for a little girl and I have a decent amount of breast tissue especially after already having had them done before, so I believe I can carry the larger look well.

Happy to hear you worked with Mick, he's one of the best. Looking forward to seeing you and Stoya square off as well. And in regards to the boob-job, "well done" is the key phrase there. Just make sure you go with a top-flight plastic surgeon. Kayden's are pretty big and look excellent, so maybe get her guy. Anyway, you've been making all the right moves so I'm sure you've got it covered.

Thanks for joining in Veronica! Quite a great explanation of internships in finance, and I think your approach to the industry is working well. I think your first scene was a great first scene, I just think as you become more accustomed to performing, you'll look more comfortable naturally.
Boobs are subjective, but I'm with with your boyfriend on this one.
The only thing you've said that I disagree with at all is the use of the word "disrupt". I'm in Silicon Valley, and the number of times I hear that term on a daily basis makes me want to hurl every time someone says it. Yes, you are bringing an innovative business model into the industry, but please help kill the buzzword "disrupt". It will be a favor to marketing everywhere.
Keep up the great start!

Great interview Captain Jack. Sad to hear her approach on G/G, since seeing girls actually into each other is what I enjoy. And the gimmicks employed to "make them watchable" do nothing for me. And it sounds like she's not really into women, and she's smart enough to know the real money is in B/G, so no point in doing any future G/G.

Thank You, Veronica for posting here and spending time with us. You're quite gorgeous, and from what I've seen from the preview trailer, you're as good an actress as you are a sex performer. I expect you'll have a long and profitable career in adult entertainment, and I hope you enjoy every minute of it.
I do have one question--are you exclusive with Evil Angel, or can you work for other companies? I couldn't figure that out from all the articles posted. I hope you'll continue to post here. Take care.

Veronica is too intelligent to start a random twitter war. The hot new thing in the industry is "normal" girls crossing over. I agree with the sentiment that this could be a set up. I'd be happy if it ends in a hot Lesbian scene between the two.

The thing that annoys me about how she's been marketed isn't actually the Wall Street thing. No matter how long she worked there, she did work there. It's calling Arrangement Finders a mainstream company. This is the same company that's had a booth at every adult convention I've been to for about the past 3 years, and that's before an adult performer bought a large stake in the company. They may not be in the business of making movies, but I would say they've been an adult company for quite a while.

I just read another interview where she says her dream scene is to get sponsored by a company and then be all over every tube site on the internet.
There are so many things wrong with that.
First, and most importantly, she wants someone to sponsor a porn scene so she makes money but then wants everyone to steal it from the company that films her.
Secondly, her "dream" scene has nothing to do with a specific scenario or fantasy.

^ I don't know about that. MindGeek owns plenty of tubesites and puts their content on them. So maybe she's not necessarily calling for the scene to be pirated. I'd have to read the interview to understand what she's saying.
Also, I think the attitude that performers should get into porn for only the purest intentions is a little bit wrong-headed. In the Belle Knox thread people are bashing her for just wanting attention. Sasha Grey gets slammed for trying to turn her porn fame into a mainstream career. And now guys have been persistently calling out Veronica because she wants to be famous and make a lot of money. It would be ideal of course if every woman who got into porn was actually doing it to live out there fantasies and were genuine free-spirits. But I accept that the motivations to get into porn are pretty diverse. I use these women to get off. If they want to use the notoriety the get from doing porn for their own purposes, who am I to say that's wrong?

I agree somewhat.
But if a girl is not into the sex, doesn't do it mainly because of the sex, that's going to show on film and she won't be long for this industry.
I understand it's a job and, like every job, you want to get paid. However, porn is a tough industry and from talking to industry professionals (performers, directors, producers), if you're solely money motivated, it's not a good thing.

^^ No argument there. Being into sex will obviously make a better scene and probably a more enduring career. I just wanted to vent about a perplexing attitude a lot of porn fans exhibit. By the way, I don't think you really were in a major way. Also, not to point out the obvious, wanting to be rich and being into the sex aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.
Any chance you could link the interview? If she's saying she actually wants her stuff to be pirated, a lot of companies aren't going to dig that message.

I haven't read the interview, so I don't know the context, but I'm guessing what she means is that her dream would be to get sponsored by a mainstream company, let's say coca-cola. Then, when everyone goes to watch the scene for free on a tube site, you're also watching an ad for coca-cola.

Some interviews can be taken out of context. She is obviously in the industry to make money, but I am sure that isn't the only reason. Going straight into such a full on B/G scene like the one she shot with Manuel would make her very marketable and I am sure she would like to be the next Jenna and have the fame and fortune that came with it.

She clearly has a plan, and she welcomes any attention, positive or negative. It all helps her out in the end. Most porn stars are in it mainly for the money, she's just more honest about it.

So I agree that the answer didn't match the question well although she also says "gang bang", but I pretty much disagree about your interpretation. If you notice the thing she has been pushing in almost all interviews is the idea that the industry needs to adapt new models of revenue because tube sites are here. So the tube site part of the comment again doesn't fit "dream" very well, but it deals with reality. All scenes will be "all over every tube site". Her point is that if you get a company to sponsor and advertise on that scene that will inevitably be "all over every tube site" then it pushes the idea to other companies that doing that will get your product viewed and advertised all over the web, thus making the idea of scene sponsorship more profitable and legitimate. Again, I agree that it isn't a "dream", it's more like she's talking about how to work within the realistic constraints, i.e. tube sites are a reality. It actually makes quite a bit of sense within the 'company sponsorship' model that she wants to see happen. I get why "everyone buy my porn" makes more sense as a message on the surface, but I'm guessing it isn't super effective and she has been pretty up front about her wants to see shifts in ideas of how to bring in revenue.
I might be wrong, but I didn't read it as a 'just give me money and screw the companies out of money' statement at all.

^ That seems valid. Although I have to say, as a consumer I find the idea of product placement in scenes pretty off-putting. I remember the NFL had a plan to superimpose brand logos and ads on the field during games and most fans flipped their shit. It would distract from the action. Same applies to porn.

I see it very differently than you do because I think doing porn should always be about the money first, second and third as reasons for doing it. The sex should only be there when it comes to what you are willing to do to earn that money. It's not like women shooting porn are ever going to be excited to get fucked by a complete stranger in front of a bunch of guys for a couple of hours just to earn 1000$ paycheck. Of course it's important that the woman appear to enjoy sex because if she doesn't then her stint in porn will be short but you can't tell me that you actually believe women enjoy having porn sex. I know I don't regardless that some claim to love it. I take it to be the same thing when mainstream actors gush about the role they just did when everyone knows they were miserable during the shooting and are only doing the promotional tour because it's in their contract.
I would think that women who get into porn hoping to have great sex are the ones likely to burn out real fast because their expectations will never be met on a porn set.

Did you see her first scene? Did it have that effect? Also, the NFL is in a much better position financially. We as consumers might have to put up with things that aren't optimal to keep the industry at a decent place. Tv shows and movies get to take advantage of product placement and they are already in a way better financial place than most of porn. People just don't pay for porn enough to make it fair to limit them from avenues such as product placement. Yes, it isn't optimal, but is it acceptable?

You're entitled to your opinion but you would be wrong.
I am friends with some girls in the industry who are honest with me about what goes on. Yes, Mr. Cynical, girls actually do enjoy the sex. Believe it or not, men are not the only ones who have orgasms.

I just attended a industry conference in San Jose and one of the speakers was Jeff Immelt (CEO of GE) ...
"if you went to bed last night as an industrial company, you’re going to wake up today as a software and analytics company.”
Porn companies (legit content providers and tube sites) are sitting on a ton of data and probably have no plan or clue on how to monetize it.
V**2 plan of product placement and advanced analytics is surely the way for the industry to grow. Also new distribution models that allow you only to pay for the content you want (i.e. I belong to Brazzers and I really don't like 80 % of the performers, but joined for the content of the 20 % I like) ala iTunes, a fair price, is a way to grow revenues.
BTW, if you are thinking about going back to college, major in Applied Mathematics. The going rate for a good Data Scientist is $500K/year

I feel like you guys purposefully get controversial to lure me in here, ha.
How can any of you possibly say I'm in it just for the money!? Are you nuts! I would have made 90k this year as a FIRST YEAR ANALYST. In 3 years I would have been at about 150k. In 10 years I could be making 500k quite easily on the Street. I left that world, BECAUSE I LIKE SEX MORE. I was quite clear about this in multiple interviews. Did you not see the scene with Manuel? Either I was cumming or I'm an exceptional actress. Being as how I'm the one in question, I can say that was some of the best sex of my life. If you want to hear about my love of sex from an outside party, check out this interview...

That being said, I would be stupid not to capitalize on the current situation and align it with my business objectives. And as many of you have noted, I'm clearly not stupid. The business model of porn HAS to change. People just are not making money. Stars with household names should be making more than a couple hundred thousand a year for their notoriety. But they are not. I want to help fix that.
Never did I say I want companies to pirate anything I make. It will inevitably happen, but I am not for that. What I am for is getting sponsorship for porn and giving the content the best distribution possible, which invariably is the tube sites. On Evil Angel, the scene with Manuel got 5k views. On Mindgeek tube properties, it was at 2.5 million. The market has spoken. Under this model, the company pays the production company to make the movie, plus a bonus profit to make it worthwhile. That translates to performers and crew working more days, and to the production company getting an assured profit. This means more industry prosperity. So no, the production companies are not against me at all. They welcome this with open arms.
In the future, I hope we see a better distribution model than the current fragmented pay site model. Like MrSpazi said, allowing consumers the ability to buy only the content they like would be exceptional. We need a Hulu and iTunes for porn. It has been tried, but like I said, the market has spoken and it wants free porn. Startups wishing to create such a platform run in to barriers, because it's just tough for them to get the revenues. HOWEVER, if you start bringing in strategic advertising partnerships to the industry, and demonstrate enough of a willingness of companies to engage in such partnerships, then you start to be able to much more easily justify creating better distribution platforms, because you know you will be bringing in revenue from partnerships and not only from the relatively small % of porn consumers who actually spend money on it.
So that is what I am doing. When I say I want Monster to sponsor a scene, I'm going to make more than a performer rate, but not that much more. It's not about the money, it's about what such a thing would mean for the industry. If you bring in big sponsors, you bring in BIG money for EVERYONE. And by doing so, you're going to attract a lot of talent who otherwise look at the current industry and go nah. You start making waves, and well educated, ambitious people with great ideas will follow. And to what does that translate? Better quality porn, better performers, better distribution, better everything.
Product placement is just the first step. The beauty of doing it in porn is that it really isn't distracting. We are not going be screaming "Monster Energy!" when we cum. We are just going to create a story line around the sex and put a logo in there somewhere. The sex is what you care about and we won't fuck with that much if at all. Putting products in porn in actually significantly less invasive than other entertainment mediums because it really doesn't conflict with the content at all.
And yes, MrSpazi it's all about the analytics. Porn could improve their ability to do this, and they just have not yet because they don't yet understand the value. Mainstream partnerships want analytics. They need to beef up their data collecting abilities, and they will.
I fucking love sex. I don't mind attention. I like to be feminine and look pretty. I'm horny all the time. But I can't have sex all day long every day. My pussy won't allow it. So I'm utilizing my brain in my downtime. I'm sorry if that offends you (not).
