I hate to burst your bubbles BUT you will find a growing number of female actresses that REFUSE outright to engage in gratuitous nudity; that doesn't make them less of a star. I should also add the fact that the disparity of pay has nothing to do with a willingness to get naked or even age which is basically the bulk of your argument. The people I named have successful careers and you can't claim otherwise. As far as being typecast . . . tell that to the likes of Ellen Burstyn, Maggie Smith, Fionnula Flanagan, Shirley Knight, Taraji P. Henson among others. Your argument is that women are done in Hollywood on the basis of age - that is ludicrous. I will grant you that female earning power is known to decline after 34 but a number of actresses have been able to negotiate lucrative contracts that get their pay closer to that of their male counterparts. That is the difference maker; when you decide what you are worth or you know it based on your resume - you have a tremendous amount of leverage because while a studio can book someone else, there's no guarantee that your replacement is going to be able to knock it out of the ballpark like you can.
Not everyone wants to be a megastar, one of the familiar stories you hear from people like Cameron Diaz among others who adopted a lower profile is that they got tired of the endless spotlight and being on the radar of the paparazzi among other things.

I never said some women don't want to be pounded hard BUT in the case of Miss Stokely, that didn't work for her and I read an interview recently in which a talent who has worked with the great Manuel had said that although she loves their scenes; she has to take a break for 2 days due to his length and width. Different strokes for different folks. I love that she is strictly G/G because it's a far more difficult genre to conquer than B/G due to the fact that G/G is being on erotic psychology. B/G is more about the mechanics and the appropriate visuals, I mean you can add in foreplay here or a little seduction there but a fair amount of the time - it's get him hard and do positions A-L to end with a facial. In some scenes, the guy returns the favor but I've seen more than a few where it's a race to penetration.
See this is where you lose me. These sweeping generalizations around which performers are "GaY fOr PaY!" just don't make sense. The fact is that none of us here know these people or what they do in their personal lives, so saying that a majority of popular female performers are "not that into girls" is just your own speculation, not some kind factual observation. People don't need to be vocally lesbian in the personal life in order to qualify as being "into girls" (bisexual people do in fact exist). I see this all the time both on these forums and social media, even when performers talk openly about how much they're attracted to women there are some who immediately accuse them of "faking" their attraction or performances (there was literally a contingent of people claiming that Abella Danger was "faking" her G/G scenes even after it was publicly known that she was in a long-term relationship with another woman). Nobody likes watching stale or passionless content. But stop making assumptions about people's sexual preferences because it's disrespectful, and frankly at least half the time you're wrong.

I guess I was a little heavy-handed on saying most mainstream pornstars are "gay for pay". I understand a lot of women in porn are bisexual but some women in porn just do g/g because it's easier than doing hardcore gonzo all the time or they have a boyfriend which I feel is BS too. The reason I call them "gay for pay" is because their scene sucks and they don't look like they enjoying it. Other pornstars have said that some girls aren't even into girls and do g/g.
^ I do get the frustration when it comes to stale or phony scenes. When it's bad/forced content, it can be REALLY bad. Something I learned recently from Kasey Warner who was chatting with their fans on OF is that a fair number of performers who shoot G/G end up putting in bad performances because the director constantly starts & stops to move them into different positions and then it ends up killing their groove even if they actually had a connection (The same applies to B/G, but they were referencing a couple of G/G shoots they'd been on). So by the time the scene is shot and edited together they just end up looking disinterested or super-fake.

^Part of that may also have to do with how they are directed or who they are paired up with. I've seen abysmal paint by numbers G/G scenes from women for certain studios which does make you question if they actually are into women, and then I've seen great passionate scenes with the same women for other studios.
Plenty of these women have been vocal about not liking performing with women who are not into women, and often do multiple scenes with specific female partners.

Studios, directors are mostly responsible for interviewing these women and check out their bios and let them get to know each other before shooting start. Some studios do let the women pick who they who or prefer to work with. I'm tired of calling these women "girls"

Just finished watching Sweet Sweet Sally Mae. Great blaxploitation porn parody with an all-star black cast. Misty Stone is a woman I haven't watched in years didn't know she was still working. I thought all of them were solid with the only problem would be the lighting. But white people have never been that great at filming black people and also I think the lighting was for the 70's style of the period it was parodying. Stand-out scenes are Kira Noir/Noemie Bilas, I'm always a fan of Kira she is just a wonderful person and you know she really loves her job. Do they really have exclusive contract anymore? I'm a porn star why would I restrict myself to one company, these days. I can make my own content, so many avenues to make money. "Exclusive Contract" is like when an NBA player sign with a team and he became a disappointment they cut him buy him out.
^^ Yes there are exclusive contracts now. A lot of performers are doing them for Brazzers but also for other studios as well. I don't blame them if they want guarantees. Like Abella signed contract for Brazzers bc she could go back home to Miami and be close to her family and have a set schedule she can work with. Plus she said she respect and loves the Brazzers family. Cherie talked about why she signed her contract with Brazzers on the Holly Randall podcast. Again it was more so giving her a guarantee income although I think Cherie is so great I know she wouldn't have to worry about a lack of getting booked.
^^^ Im thinking Lacy is signing a contract with GFF but what's odd is her signing contract with them after they just let go of Lacy best friend Serene. It would make more sense if both were under contract. That gives me pause now. Alyx has been off of the exclusive thing for some months now. I doubt anyone is going to get a years-long exclusive. As a fan I don't think I want the same performer in most of the scenes anyway, unless it happened to be one of my 3 absolute favorites.
^ It's not new with GFF though. Remember Mindi Mink and Tara Morgan had contracts with them? I loved it bc I became fans of both performers then they both weren't under contract anymore for reasons I don't know.
I'm with you in that I don't like contract stars unless it's with my favorite performers. I don't think MissaX has contract stars but we see some of the same performers shoot for them like Kenna James and Cadence Lux to name a few. Back then it was Scarlett Sage who shot a lot for AHL. So for me as long as it's the studio is booking performers who the fans want to see on a regular there is no need for contract stars.
Ok, cool. Serene is still listed as a Contract Star on the site, but maybe that will be updated soon. We shall see if Aubree Valentine gets let go too. I always thought signing 3 women to exclusive G/G contracts was a bit much. Of the 3, Serene was the only one who doesn't do mainstream B/G, so it would have to be a really good contract to keep. Hopefully they still have a good relationship.
I wonder if the return of Alex Coal has anything to do with things, because she was a GF staple for awhile.

I don't have too much problem with repeats on AHL because that stuff is good the vast majority of time. The girls that go on there can usually act a little bit and you don't have to worry about them coming off super-G4P. I feel like AHL is curated a little bit.

I was pretty amped for Serene getting an exclusive contract with GFF, but I can't say I'm totally surprised. They shot a bunch of stuff with her in a relatively compressed amount of time (essentially dropped two showcase movies within 6 months). I'm wondering if their contracts are for a set number of scenes within a few months. IIRC, the only stars who had a multi-year exclusive contract with GFF were Prinzzess and India Summer.
Feels like Serene's profile has gotten significantly boosted over the last 6 months or so, hopefully she'll get a lot more bookings as a result. Would love to see her back shooting with AllHerLuv, they always produce great content and her work there has always been great.
I agree I would've thought at the very least GFF would've kept Serene. She had that feel of what Prinzzess was for them. I randomly discovered her years ago and instantly loved her.
