I can't tell you how many times I have sat through lots of dialogue and build up only to have the action and visuals be a complete waste of time. It's gotten to the point where I skip and back up just to make sure it's worthwhile. A lot of us came up during the period when G/G had more Gonzo-style characteristics in general, and so the lack of visuals is a bit of a sore spot. I know others are very appreciative of the story and more full-body shots, and I'm not here to advocate a return to those times (don't miss the endless toys and strapons), but it would be nice to see more content that just focused on the action and visuals the way that Kiss Me Girl Explicit, Belezza Video, and other series used to do (agree with AClayFan that fire + great visuals are an amazing, but very rare, combo). Even defunct studios like Filly Films struck a good balance and it's unfortunate that so many places just recycle their content ad nauseam. That being said, it is nice to at least see some places like Ultrafilms/Wowgirls produce solid stuff. It would also be nice to have a place that was a bit more of a proving ground for newcomers (think ATK/FTV-style GG site), as it sucks to see a new girls phone in a scene for GGF, Girlsway, etc... (I feel like it's like having newbies step up to the plate in the majors when they should be cutting their teeth in the trenches of the minor leagues first). According to them, these are calculated (using some internal, undisclosed algorithm) based on the following metrics (below is a direct copy and paste from their website): Average playtime - The higher the number, the more time was spent watching the scene Positive rating % - How many people gave the scene a like vs. how many gave it a dislike Comments - Number of comments the scene has Views - Number of unique views Downloads - Number of unique downloads Out of curiosity, I want to do a comparison between non-lesbian and lesbian scenes. I have calculated the monthly averages and listed them below (I omitted downloads because: 1. there's very little difference; 2. I doubt its significance in the streaming age). Some general remarks about the data: - There's generally 1 or 2 trans video in each of the non-lesbian list; considering these are all transgender female scenes, it's debatable if they should go in non-lesbian or lesbian list - I don't see any bi videos in non-lesbian list. - It looks like they are picking these from "internal" products (e.g. pure taboo); for the most part I don't see any video from external partner channels (e.g. evil angel) - However, there's one big exception: in Feb. 2022 the top ranked lesbian scene is from GFF (Seren Siren and Abigail Mac, Lesbian Seduction 68) Some interesting trends about lesbian scene fans: - Non-lesbian scenes generally have more views than lesbian ones, by about one to two thousands (or around 15-30%): it's surprisingly close - But lesbian scenes have more comments: which kinda confirms the vocal/prickly minority stereotype - Playtime is higher for lesbian scenes: again it kinda confirms the more "watch for the plot" stereotype - Rating is more positive for non-lesbian scenes in Jan and Mar, but more positive for lesbian scenes in Feb: so not necessarily more critical The very fact that they even track these things separately I think still shows the Girlsway roots of Adult Times. Generally speaking I find the B/G fans to take pretty much anything and be happy with it, busting a nut within a minute or two and moving on, not caring about anything but there being nudity (and often seemingly bent on needing a cock present to enjoy the scene). That's not to say that often isn't the case with G/G fans, in terms of accepting just any old schlock as quality content - I see the comments day in and day out and I can only shake my head at the gullible nature of them, fawning over the fakery. But I digress. Generally speaking I think these things are indicative of G/G fans being more discerning in their content enjoyment and enjoying it on more levels, than the two minute pump and dump B/G viewers. There's an active movement at Adult Time to silence criticism of the content in the comment section, they've taken to emailing users about it, threatening to mute them or cancel their memberships, happened to me, happened to someone called renegade, others too - I wouldn't take much of the adulation seen in the comment sections to heart, it's curated and/or seeded BS. Overall I'm far more interested in hearing pertinent criticisms than sugar-coated meaningless adulation. I've found more and more I just pass tons of scenes on by, it's a rare one that I know I'm going to enjoy, or more than likely so, something to that effect an it got me to thinking just what it is about the ones I do decide to take the time to download and watch in full after released for members. I hopped over to Adult Time and decided to take a look at their front page of uploads. Keep in mind I have my filters set to hide a fair amount of content, my front page likely looks a lot different than yours. I wanted to look back and discern what that thing is that gets me to watch. - Bitter Babysitter; Mommy's Girl w/Jupiter Jetson and Emma Starletto: I think I watched this one more to asses how well the feedback has been relayed, knowing to keep an eye on Emma for antics. Surprisingly not bad, though not bad isn't to say good. I know for a few here this would be an auto-pass due to subject matter. - Serene & Ember; We Like Girls w/Serene Siren and Ember Snow: Watched this to see how realistic the series was going to be or if it was going to be more of the same, more of the antics they delivered in the first scene back. My favorite part was Serene speaking so lovingly, pre-sex, about Ember. The sex is just as I expected it to be, not much different than any other G/G scene they might have had any where else, just a bit longer. - Hold The Phone Chatty Cathy; w/Gizelle Blanco and Jayden Cole: had the tag "foot fetish" and both women have great looking feet, the trailer seemed to indicate it wouldn't be filled with over the top antics. I thought it was a good scene, better than average and for AT quite good. I also wanted to asses Jayden Cole as a performer. - The Queen, Mixed X; w/Alysso Bounty and Kiara Lord: Foot fetish focused G/G, it's a must watch despite the casting of LP talent here. MixedX is by far my favorite thing outside of WG/UF and fully so on AT. This is one I watched that I knew I would enjoy due to the foot fetish content and MixedX producing content that isn't over the top PPP. I can look forward to MixedX G/G scenes on AdultTime, that's a good feeling. - Luring The Nurse, Girlsway; w/Liz Jordan and Spencer Bradly: the trailer indicated that this would be slow, sensual and proceed at a great simmering pace, with natural feeling sex. It was pretty good, I gave it a thumbs up. I also find both women attractive which always helps. - Under Her Wing, Tranfixed; w/Brooklyn Gray and Ariel Demure: Figured I'd include this while I was here, I watch every episode of Transfixed (expect for the Dante abberation, promised to never happen again). It was good, Brooklyn singing was amazing - barefoot views were absent in nearly in full, cropping them out at every opportune. Transfixed, along with MixedX, are the two things I know I can look forward too on Adult Time (minus the occasional Dante or Jean issue). Lust Triangles, Modern Day Sins; wAnny Auroa, Spencer Bradley and my the best western G/G performer in the game (imo) Alex Coal - I watch every G/G Alex Coal scene I have access to, she is one of my top favorites. I knew I could look forward to a scene with her in it. Spencer is good too, though I do think she trends on the OTT PPP vs Alex's emoting. Alex Coal in a scene is something I know I can look forward to - from action, to looks, to emoting, she's the total package. Intimate Worship, All Girl Massage; w/Marica Hase and Alexis Tae - watched for the new format, and for the foot fetish tag. Foot fetish tag and the amazing, delectable, perfection of Alexis Tae's feet is a must watch. That said the scene is typical over the top rote fakery, but goddamn is the foot worship, and Alexis's feet, sexy. Always There For You, My Younger Lover; w/Shay Sights and Sera Ryder - watched due to the foot fetish tag, due to the trailer indicating the sex would be sensual and not over the top and watched to see how Sera is coming along as a G/G performer and if she got that every few second "Ha" or "Heh" she used to do. Quite an enjoyable scene, very nicely paced. The foot worship section by Shay on Sera is a section I've watched a half-dozen times or more now. Lilith, MixedX; w/Amirah Adarah and Alyssa Bounty - as I said earlier, MixedX is one of two things I look forward to at AT; sensual G/G foot fetish sex (they do dip into the damnable tribbing sometimes); and any scene with Amirah Adarah is one to look forward to. A great G/G performer. Looking at just a small section (only did about half my front page of AT) it seems that if it's male-free and has: - sensual sex, non-over the top sex, no or limited pornstar performative pleasure routines - foot fetish/foot worship - male-free transwomen content - as trite as it is, women I'm personally very attracted to. This often will lead to disappointment though, looking like a million bucks but performing otherwise. - if it has Alex Coal in it - if it's a MixedX or Transfixed scene, it'll be a watch. it winds up being a watch. I also note that looking through the scenes, and I didn't even list them all here, there is a lot of watches to see how things are going, to see how the progress is going on listening to feedback, to check on performers development, and sometimes even to hope some will turn over a new leaf or show they can be serious or sensual for once. Part of the progress checks is not just talent but the production crews (some are known for being very shaky with their handheld, others more steady but with a small spot on their cam, others are known for always having OTT performances from the girls, etc) and their progression, and other things like overall brand feel and direction. "Tongue-fucking" doesn't quite make me turn the scene off, but it is also goofy and performative. Suffice it to say that I like one out of every 25 American GG scenes.
