I'd also go a step further and argue that the class of people most disadvantaged by racism in the porn industry are women of color. It was not so long ago that almost every Asian porn actress was relegated to the "Me Fuck U Long Time" dustbin category of films. (And to those who think I am exaggerating, there was a movie released in 2006 with that exact title. If that's not racism, I don't know what is.)
Even today, women of color are sorely underrepresented in mainstream pornography, and many studios create special lines specifically for women of color which segregate them out of the "marquee" flagship lines by default. To an extent, some of this is a result of geography. European studios do not shoot with as many women of color due to the demographics of their home countries. This is particularly true in Eastern European countries like Hungary and the Czech Republic. Then again, however... many of those studios fly in models internationally on a regular basis, yet within a rounding error, nearly all of them end up being white.
And Bangbros literally released a scene last year where they filmed Lulu Chu getting fucked while eating noodles, plus the cameraman was a generally racist douchebag to her, joking about her having a "slanted pussy" amongst other things. As someone who is pretty thick-skinned to this stuff and thinks most people should get over it, even I was a bit unsettled by that.
The porn industry is about supply and demand, just like any other. The internet became the new delivery method for porn to consumers in the late 90s, the grip of the larger studios who generally only shot Caucasian porn straight to VHS/DVD was over. What came next was a collection of Genres, interracial established itself quickly as (Black Man fucking a White Woman) this was down to there being a demand for it, otherwise said Genre and website's would not have survived.
Truth be told Greg Lansky founded Blacked.com at the perfect moment, the interracial genre was well established but stagnated with lowend/lowcost productions. Some choosing to go down the "cuckold" route to try and give a new spin on their content, Lansky choose to go a more high end production route, cut out some of the established racial themes and attract more established performers, who would never have shot interracial if not for blacked.com in my opinion. Ultimately it paid off and by the looks of it he got out at just the perfect moment once again.
As for Blacked.com and Vixen groups future, I see content stagnation once again. Small pool of male performers across all sites, same themes, same sets. If you not moving forward, you are falling behind and I'm not sure who is their to move it forward at the moment.
As for the broader industry, Blacked.com I feel has made interracial less taboo, a lot of new female performers shoot interracial far earlier in their careers now and I see far more interracial sites and content today than ever before.
Hopefully this will lead to more work for black Male and Female talent going forward. Given one of my all time favourite performers is Ana Foxxx, I would certainly welcome this but at the end of the day it will be as ever driven by demand.
The fact that Lansky got out right before all this BLM stuff blew up was just blind luck. Unless you think he's got a crystal ball we don't know about, or he's friends with Doc Brown or something, I guess it's technically true but it's not like he saw it coming.
Look, I've always credited the man for his talent. The quality of his work speaks for itself. It's the marketing that bothers me. That's always been my problem with him and it goes beyond the racial stuff associated with Blacked, but that's a separate conversation for another time.
^ Think it's just Alina. I don't see another girl in the preview anymore. Originally they posted a preview of the Alina Lopez / Adria Rae scene from Deeper, but now they've changed it.
Lansky got out because he spotted a trend thats been happening for over a year now.
People only have so much spare $$$ to spend on XXX site subscriptions and more of that $$$ is going on their favourite performers OnlyFans accounts. I dont think the industry can sustain the amount of subscription based websites there are now, it will be a race to the bottom over the next few years to try and stay alive.
From an established performers point of view, if you can make good money doing exactly what you want, with who you want, from your own bedroom and at your own leisure. Your either going to shoot far less scenes or none at all.
As a black man I think that Blacked.com and Blackedraw have been nothing but a breath of fresh air to the industry, society and to annyong racists in general. Contrary to belief IR sex is not common in real life. Therefore, porn allows both men AND women to imagine their fantasies of being with that rapper, footballer or basketball player.
One can play those roles and also play conservative roles. I think that a lot of the hate blacked.com gets is pure human jealousy because of its success.
My only problem with the Vixengroup is that I felt that it wasn't value for money and all sites should have been under one umbrella.

You've also gotta take into account what a lot of black females are saying about these sites, especially the black female porn stars. Some (or maybe most) of them don't seem to be taking the overall vision of the vixen media group very positively.
You're comparing black females not being given equal opportunity to David Duke? You clearly have no clue what you are talking about.

There you go. You figured out the problem with the current vision of VMG.

You're a fan because the stereotypes appeal to you, if the roles were reversed I doubt you would be singing the praises of these sites. Blacked showcases the male performers as dominant in nearly every single scene, the very color of their skin (figuratively) has now been reduced to a sex act. You like that, which is fine, but call it what it is because if Bree Daniels was leading a black man around on a leash opinions would change. If women were standing over kneeling black men and forcing them to eat some taint, however delightful, opinions would change. If the majority of the scenes showed a white man luring black females away to cheat on their black husbands and hapless boyfriends opinions would change.
I have no dog in the fight because I don't care at all about any of it if the quality of the scene is good, which also means I'm free to see both sides of the issue for what they are.
I agree with everything you say here. Hence the word niche. I do not know whether you are male or female but I doubt we'd like the same movie on cinema date night. xxx

^ simply calling it a "niche" doesn't change its impact on society.
What negative impact has the blacked.com website had on society in general? Yes you mentioned some black women do not get work and I suggested they make a niche akin to roundandbrown but other than that, what are the other negative impacts? And saying they are being used for the colour of their skin is the same way as me saying that I am using white women/other women for the colour of their skin. We're both consensually "using" each other.
^ It's more likely they subscribe to Deeper, easier to explain the anger. >.<

Tangent here, but the entire network has added about 6 BTS scenes, which is a welcome addition (and the best one so far) honestly. 5 of the 6 BTS are from scenes directed by Laurent Sky, the 6th being a Derek Dozer BlackedRaw scene. Hopefully we can see some of the BTS from the last Ariana Marie Blacked scene with the "hint" of a DP during the photoshoot.
So I let my subscription run out but am thinking of resubscribing because of this new BTS stuff they are apparently posting. Is it anything good? Can someone give me a quick rundown of what it is?
It's interesting that they've re-badged this Alina Lopez scene as a Blacked scene. She just did a BBG for them seven months ago...and because of the really slow pace of releases this year, it feels like it was lot more recent than that. That being said, I really enjoyed that scene and I'm sure I will enjoy this one. The recent Valentina Nappi DP is one of the best scenes I've seen this year. Here's to hoping that Alina Lopez gets a gangbang on Blacked someday.
I guess my biggest question is...where does Blacked go from here? Digging up the blacklisted Louis Smalls and now putting out a scene that wasn't even made for this site shows you how desperate of a situation they're in. I haven't watched the BTS stuff yet but I will check it out soon enough. But that's just another band-aid, no matter how good it may be. The fact that they're scraping the bottom of the trash heap for scenes, while in a pandemic that prevents them from shooting new scenes, while there is now social media backlash against them due to the civil unrest is not a good set of circumstances.
I think Blacked will soldier on regardless. We may see less top stars. We may see less hot new girls. We may very well see far more obscure European girls. But I don't think the site will change its name.
^^ If the Valentina Nappi and Alina Lopez scenes are 'scraping the bottom of the trash heap' well this must be trash from a pretty exclusive area! Don't forget that some companies have completely stopped putting any scenes out since the start of the pandemic so attempting to do the right thing by their paying customers in bringing out some new content should be applauded. As for his other point - well it might just be that some of the more established stars are MORE likely to film scenes with black male talent. Enough have gone on social media to rant about how racist society is......this would be a constructive way for them to 'put their money where their mouth is'!
^To be fair, I did say the Valentina Nappi scene was one of the best scenes of the year. I think they saved it for last on purpose. The scenes that have come out since include one that was never supposed to be released and one that was supposed to be for another site.
Do they have anything to release once this Alina Lopez scene comes out?
^ Who cares who the scene was originally supposed to be for. You're getting a scene that seems to fit in with the philosophy of Blacked with one of the top stars. Given that many sites have either stopped putting out updates or are re-hashing old stuff, the paying customers of this site should feel lucky. If you want my advice then I'd pull your subscription until things have settled down.
IMO As a white man, I believe that black men naturally get more women than any white man. Black men are more sexually active b/c they are seen as ideal sexual partners due to size, stamina etc. The biggest black nerd will get more women than any white nerd.
Just look at Pornhub, most of the amateur videos have black men and white women in them. Try looking for white men black women porn. Its miniscule.
So of course sites like Blacked.com and the other interracial sites prosper, they fulfil the truth that people like to see black men fuck white women.
All the female black performers would never get with white men in real life. So that is why they are not in demand because reality shows black women are racist against white men.

^ I once drove an old Chevy conversion van around Miami and you wouldn't believe all the ass my friend sitting in the back seat got.
^^ Yep.....went on Pornhub (for my sins) and typed in 'amateur'. The overwhelming majority of the first 100 scenes that came up are white on white porn. There were fewer people of colour (men or women) than you'd find in the population overall which suggests they're actually UNDER represented! Nice theory but a load of garbage!
I don't care and I'm not complaining. Alina Lopez is one of my favorite porn stars, and she's been one of the most consistent performers that Blacked has ever had. I'm happy to see her in another scene, and like I said I hope they bring her back for a gangbang.
I was just raising concerns about how few scenes they must have left to show.

^ You raise a great point.
It isn't scraping the bottom of the barrel because it's Alina Lopez, it's scraping because they're having to move an IR scene to another site because there are clear gaps in the schedule. They were in trouble from the very beginning, we saw that with the move to reduce updates from 5/mo down to 4/mo. It's clearly worse than we thought now that this is happening, and to reiterate that isn't a judgement call on this specific scene itself, simply the lack of scenes available to sustain six sites.
