But in mainstream modeling, not only is it much more competitive, but it also requires actual talent. In contrast, there's no skill or talent involved with being a female pornstar. For this reason, a hot girl looking for work in Hollywood is going to have a much easier time getting modeling work for Vince Vouyer or Jules Jordan that they will finding work for for Cosmo, Vogue, or Victoria's Secret. Hot girls who are willing to do porn have a much better shot at trying to be the next Jenna Jameson than they do at trying to be the next Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, or Naomi Campbell. It takes a whole lot more than just looking good. If it didn't, then every good-looking girl in the world would just be able to easily end up walking the runways of Paris. But it doesn't work that way. That's one reason why they go into porn over mainstream modeling- because they can't get mainstream modeling. Additionally, there's also still the idea common among many girls that starting out in porn will be a stepping stone to cross over into the mainstream. But we know that never really happens. Once they're known to have done porn, then they become marked for life. As for just being able to snag up some rich guy, some of them do end up eventually doing that. But that usually happens as a result of their exposure through porn. Guys watch porn, see their fantasy girl on the screen, and, if they're in a position to do so, they can go out and pursue her, and "save" her from the industry. For example, it was Bree Olsen's fame as a pornstar that drew Charlie Sheen to her. It was Joslyn James' popularity as a pornstar that drew Tiger Woods to her. Had they not been pornstars, then those men would not have pursued them. But obviously, in order for hat to happen, she has to do porn first for those rich guys to even know who she is. Plus, those relationships are usually very unlikely to last, which means that most of those girls do end up either going back into porn, dancing, escorting, or just going back into civilian life with some regular everyday guy.
