But when Alan is responsible for 18-22 scenes a month and it is explicitly asked that submissions from members be "simple" enough to be shot in a few hours, that's never going to happen. I do think it's partially a problem just how much catering to the current members there's been over the last year. I don't know if Girlsway just isn't doing as well as it was in 2016 (though it's clear from member engagement that at least Mommy's Girl isn't close to the peak it had) and keeping current members satisfied is keeping the site going, but it doesn't seem like this over-reliance on reluctance and fake incest is bringing in new participating members as it was a few years ago. Additionally, and I know it's likely just me, but honestly for Bree's only tweet for the month of May about GW congratulating Chloe for being named GOTM but for there to be dozens of tweets about other projects doesn't help the feeling of GW not being a priority. I don't know if either hiring a second director, Bree coming back to co-direct, or Alan being the sole decision-maker on the stories is the right answer for there to be more developed scenes and for the excitement and experimentation to return to GW, but I don't think the current path is one that's going to keep GW at the forefront if another studio/director decides to invest in the genre. EDIT: I do want to add though that I think a fair amount of these issues could be resolved with a greater focus on the sex. It's not going to make up for a lack of innovation, but great sex can make a poor story almost irrelevant. I'm just more transparent with members as of late about them because so many submissions were not achievable in the time we've got allotted. We have always been a team effort at GW and Alan has a lot of creative input. Many of the stories I send him are adapted and changed by him on set. There's a couple of options ... first, we shoot fewer scenes and put out less updates but spend more time to shoot them. I'd be very curious how members would react to receiving 15 scenes a month vs. 20+ ... secondly, Alan is our exclusive director and extremely tied to the brand. It is his baby as much as it is mine. One of the reasons, apart from diluting the quality, that I have not brought in a bunch of new directors is that Alan would be pretty heartbroken. It would probably be very demotivating to him. Hopefully some will think that I make sense because I think that Phony Doctor is one of the best example of what GW tends to do wrong but could easily do right if they tried just a little harder. Mind you I write this on the assumption that they try to have little stories where ultimately the people in them have sex and not sex videos in which the people are pretending not to be porn performers about to have porn sex. All the things they got right and they are impressive to behold: 1-You have a believable clinic and/or small hospital as location for your scenario. 2-You have actual medical equipment and instruments as props to add to the overall beliveability of the scenario. 3-Your doctor is more or less dressed as you would expect a doctor to be dressed. 4-The scene doesn't start and end in the same room but actually transitions from one larger room to a smaller one. 5-All the performers were well chosen for their roles. 6-The performers aren't having sex 2 minutes in but actually drag the pre-sex portion for quite a long time. 7-The scene is nearly an hour long. 8-The camera is in mation a lot more during the non-sex portion of the scene. 9-The dialogue and interaction between Whitney and Charlotte adds a level of charm that might not have been there with less talented women. 10-Whitney does a great job playing a clueless patient and Charlotte is also ratehr good at using Whitney's cluelessness. What they got wrong and many are things that I didn't like because they destroy the fantasy someone tried to create: 1-The premise is that Whitney is being kept overnight for observations so why is she wearing a top with jean shorts in an hospital bed? She could have started the scene with those clothes but she should have changed into a hospital gown to add realism that she is supposed to be a patient in hospital/small clinic. 2-Granted the following is really taking nit picking to the anal zone but Chanels' character should not have sat on Whitney's bed as doctors don't do that in real life. 3-Charlotte's character should not have been a random girl waiting in the hallway. For one thing they shot it as thought Whitey wasn't looking at her but she would probably have seen her coming down the hallway so instead her character should have been a nurse, orderly or just an horny medical student. It would not have affected the story but would have added realism. 4-Whitney should not have been lying on her hospital bed as though she was lounging in her bedroom but be lying in the bed as most patient do in in real life. This is supposed to be a real hospital and not a porn set. 5-If they had made Charlotte part of the hospital staff then you could have had a conversation between Chanel and her talking about Whitney which would have transitioned to what happened in the video. As a bonus you could have had Chanel come back at the end of the scene to catch both women having sex which in turn could have been the beginning of a later scene involving a mix or all of the performers. 6-The scenario would have been more interesting if Whitney was seen getting turned on by what Charlotte's was doing to her. You could have had dilaogue where Charlotte comments that Whitney is looking flushed which in turn would have allowed Charlotte to stimulate Whiteny even more looking for why Whitney is looking flushed and that would have culminated with Charlotte having sex with Whitney but where Whitney is the one getting the bulk of all the action. This scene should not have been a she did it to me so I have to do it to her because that was not how it was et-up in the beginning. [Link]

And no matter how much better they would be, I don't think there is anyway the members would accept a reduction in scenes at this point. Going backwards does not seem like an option. But maybe if there are enough in the can to keep up the 5/week pace, then maybe they could take more time with 1/5 scenes and see if the members even notice a difference. Wouldn't want to break Alan's heart, but I still selfishly would like to see how some GirlsWay scenes would come out if shot by some well-known G/G directors. Doesn't have to be an invasion just a scene or 2 here and there. And I wonder if business is booming because Girlsway has found a winning formula by 'trimming the fat' as it were, or could have continuing more in the original lead them to even greater heights? And Pat should just call his reviews "Girlsway Sins" from now on, it totally reminds me of that Youtube channel. [Link]

That said, I don't think such a move would be applauded by the average GW member. A reduction in content quantity doesn't guarantee a increase in content quality tho. Instead of spending up to 12 hours on scene 1 and a couple of hours on scene 2, why not spend an equal amount of time on each scene? [Link]

That's not to say that some members wouldn't talk about cancelling their membership but how many would actually do it knowing that there is nowhere else for them to go and that we are essentially talking about 5 to maybe 8 less videos per month? Imagine what the feeling among members would be if GW issued a statement that they have heard from their members and want to better develop their scenarios so they will use part of the money they are saving from having those 5- 8 less videos each month and investing it back in production budget. I don't think it's Alan's heart that would broken but maybe his ego because it can't be fun to be told that your employer thinks you need to cut down your output. That said if his ego can't take a criticism then maybe he needs to step away from the camera. I think it would be easy to sell this as a win for Alan because they could tell him that they are cutting his work load by 30% so that he has more time to spend developing all the great ideas he has. Elena has been great in everything lately, including these last 2 efforts for GW. Hadley is a most willing participant. This one won't be winning any awards. It's not ideal , but likely to be repeated about a zillion more times. Girlfriend Films loves the cheerleader plots as well. I didn't say it was fresh, only classic. Ross because Serena Blair was the girl in the middle. It's an honest mistake since Serena and Jenna could be mistaken when you're looking at shadows. The other girl in the Showcase is AJ Applegate. Whitney deserves this one for all the good work she is giving us this year. A quick journey to the top for her but I predict she has a few more steps to climb in the near future! She interacts so much in the GW Forum and has been such a reliable and great performer that I don't doubt she has a real shot at winning GOTYM at the end of the year. [Link]

Unfortunately, Lexi's agency missed something that prevented her to show up on the day of the shoot. The whole GW Forum was mad at them. Georgia ended up shooting two other scenes (the Yoga one with April and the recently one with Milana), and Nicole Aniston, Maddy O'Reilly and Carter Cruise ended up in that storyline. Let's hope they can give Georgia and Lexi another chance to work together soon! [Link]

I appreciate you giving me more detail about it. Nice to hear I'm not the only one that was upset about that, though it should be no surprise. Like we've said, if they can make up for it by pairing them together down the line for Girlsway (or any other company for that matter, just so I can see them work with each other again), then that will be very satisfying. Not that her scenes with April and Milana were bad, of course. All three girls (Love Georgia and April) did a great job. I know Milana is still starting out, but I can't wait to see more from her.
