Exactly.
If a performer uses his right for petty intentions, as in realtip's examples (smoking cigarettes etc.), then the director has to swallow his anger and postpone his retaliation for afterwards: when he decides to never work with her again and to warn all his colleagues. But he should not just ignore her explicit wish to stop.

There's no point in engaging with realtip on this subject, just check his desperate defense of Clover in the previously linked thread as well as Warmachine and pretty much any and all men accused and found guilty of abuse of women.
This is also the guy who in a debate about Max Hardcore stated he didn't care if a performers limits were ignored and she was in real distress in a scene as long as he could jerk off to it.
When it comes to abuse accusations you always know what side he's going to take, even after convictions and the perpetuator has admitted and apologized for their crime he'll still act as an apologist for them.
He literally only comes to ADT now to defend men who beat up women and attack gay marriage.
Don't feed his trolling by responding to his pathetic rationalizations.

From the NY Daily News article:
I thought that it was Ramon who allegedly stomped on Nikki's head.

The descriptions of this incident are particularly gut wrenching, but it's good to see other prominent performers/directors rallying to support Nikki. I must confess though there's quite a bit of hypocrisy I'm seeing from some rather prominent female performers between this and the previous high profile allegation of rape/sexual-assault last year (rhymes with Sheen). In that, some of the very same people who were saying either "whoa let's not rush to judgement" or flat-out "women lie about this stuff all the time" are now rushing forward with their pitchforks behaving as if this they now feel this is an endemic problem. At the end of the day, I hope Nikki gets the support she deserves for going through such a traumatic experience. But I'm not loving how some are trying to slide-in as if they've really been concerned with this kind of behavior all along.

^ Well, one distinction that could be made is that Stoya's case against Deen which ignited the controversy was based on a private conflict, also one in which Stoya chose to remain with him afterwards for a considerable amount of time.
This case here starts with a workplace conflict with many witnesses and intended pretty much for public consumption. There is a lot less tolerance among the public who feel some sense of collective ownership here since it is a product their money funds. And most importantly, Nikki immediately put them on blast. There is no "kiss and make up" or "let's work this out, babe" grace period here in which damages are mitigated and apathy among outsiders must inevitably grow.

That, and Tony T apparently has much fewer friends in the industry than last year's accused party.

I think this is the key distinction here. In this case it's a highly popular star accusing someone who is relatively unknown to the public. Last year the inverse was true, wherein the accused was one of the most popular (if not most popular) male star in the industry, and his accuser had been out of the limelight to a certain degree. I'm curious to see what the reaction will be toward Ramon now that he's being implicated in this. That said, I still think it's more than a little hypocritical in terms of stars like Dana Dearmond & Casey Calvert to come out blasting the other women who had accused Deen of assault as simply jumping on a bandwagon. Only to turn around now and openly claim that victims in the industry are being silenced out of fear of retaliation. Basically it just shows to me they were willing to throw victims under the bus because they wanted to publicly defend their friend.
Anyway, apologies for derailing! This should be about Nikki

I would imagine or hope that in the case of rough scenes the performers and director talk the scene through to figure out what exactly is going to happen and how far to go with each act. For example some girls might want to actually be chocked while others may only be game for a pretend choke. There also needs to be the understanding that if the performer feels it's going too far they have to power/ability to stop the action. Yeah, I get there will be some directors or male performers who want to push it above and beyond what was agreed upon to see how far the can but if the girl tells the people involve to stop of that enough she should be listened to and I feel that if she isn't acknowledged you've stepped in "abuse" territory. If the act was one of penetration and it went too far for the girl and she tells the performer and/or director to stop or that's enough and it continues I'm pretty sure that gets into "rape" territory. If it happened as reported it clearly was abuse in my eyes. Abuse of her body and abuse of her trust. Abuse of how people should be treated on a porn set.

Yep. I had the same thoughts as highflyin, also. The "he was fine around me" argument is so painful to read. Those same people are now saying "he was an asshole to me, so I believe you." Ugh. The response from porn fans has been different, imo, too.

^I loved a lot of his work as a performer and the movies he directed. I probably watched plenty of his Brazzers scenes when I was a member, but I had no idea that he was one of their directors. Nonetheless, if he did what he's being accused of I'm disgusted.

According to Mike South, he's a part owner of Cutting Edge Testing, in addition to his work with Brazzers.

Could people calm down a bit, is it even possible?
That this Tony T person got fired, fine but this reaction because he's part owner of a testing clinic is a bit much.
To my knowledge he's not doing the testing is he? There must be a team of doctors, nurses and other health care professionals that do that.
What some seem to be insinuating is disgusting and libellous so if I was you I'd measure words carefully at this point regarding this aspect of this story.

Aha, and what exactly is is that some are insinuating?
Of course, one should never take anything Mike South writes for granted. And "partly owner" can mean everything regarding influence, depending how much part someone has (between 1 % and 99 %).

Even if he is 99% owner, what influence might he choose to have in a clinic that provides testing for pornstars (and others presumably)?
I'm curious.

Honestly, I don't care if it were Tony T or Jules Jordan, no one involved in porn production should be part of the ownership of any testing company/facility. It's a fairly clear conflict of interest.
That being said, I'm not one to trust Mike South, so unless he provides some real proof I'm not going to get up in arms.

Regarding testing, in fairness to Tony, it could very simply and understandably just be a smart investment. Maybe it is common for pornstars to have stakes in testing companies. Depending on just what % share he has, and depending on how much of of general testing Cutting Edge has cornered, his influence could be relatively inconsequential.
STILL, I agree it could hypothetically pose concerns of conflict of interest. And when someone has a reputation of abuse... that is NOT a good look for anybody.
But we still have yet to hear from the other side of this Nikki v. Brazzers situation. Have any of the accused individuals even responded? We know of Brazzers statement and consequent actions. But what of Ramon and Tony? No answer? I have to assume legal counsel has urged them to remain mute, otherwise their personal stock is sinking by the hour without defending themselves.

How long will we get entertainend by this major thrash gossip we´re forced to enjoy during the holidays? Not too long I guess. Good to hear Tony T. is still active in the bizz. Hopefully we will see him in front of camera soon too. There are certainly a lot of waiting butthole whores that would need a trademark Tony T. high speed assfucking more than ever. So funny to read Dana´s statement when you recently stumbled over her comment on the Tony T. forum thread anno 2008. Would be better Dana and Tony would team up together soon and making thoughts tremendous scene like they did in Balls Deep 13. They are performers and not politics so I prefer to see them fuck instead of hearing about a bts porno beef through social media.

Wouldn't a performer, who also owns a testing company and directs porn, have a vested interest in the performers he works with being clean??
I don't get the logic of bringing his ownership in this clinic as being problematic.
Bad testing practices would bring the whole industry to a halt, bring more government intervention in the biz and most of all put performers' lives in peril (as well as his own). Also, a lab could be accused of serious criminal offences if they were found to be willingly neglectful.
So, people's speculation are really far fetched and smack of just being spiteful towards an individual who's already lost his job.
That being said, I have no idea who Tony T is and I could not recognize him if he was in my living room right now but how about being levelheaded once in a while and not piling on?
Just sayin'.

^ Well, there was the case of Mr. Marcus, who hid his positive Syphilis test results from producers so he could keep working. I guess the thinking is that a performer with control over a testing clinic would be able to do what Mr. Marcus did much more effectively because the staff works for them. However, I doubt medical professionals would be willing to violate their medical ethics and doctor a test for someone like that. Not to mention Tony T. hasn't performed in years, so it's not as though he would need to do anything like that. So I agree, I'm not too concerned by the fact that Tony is a part owner of Cutting Edge Testing.

If you don't wanna hear about it, then maybe don't come to thread specifically about a BTS incident? Also, accusations of abuse and head-stomping are far more severe than just 'beef' so maybe try and be a bit more empathetic?

One thing I failed to consider regarding potential conflicts of interest is that if a producer has an ownership stake in a testing service they could mandate that all performers who work for them be tested at the facility they own. Since performers have to pay for their own tests it would be a way to line their own pockets and exclude competing testing services, like Talent Testing. Something like that seems a much more reasonable concern than any fear of doctored tests. Given that, it would probably be best if producers weren't financially involved in the testing side of things in any way. Better for it to be completely independent.

I am not lecturing and just because I don't know a person (I take it you know Tony T. personally, have hung out with him etc. and you have not based your opinions on gossip) personally does not mean I can't have an opinion on a subject, just like you.
Also, I ask my question again: how would a performer, who also performs and makes a living from the industry, benefit from getting himself sick and or crippling the industry especially after the Mr. Marcus debacle?
Also, using the NFL is a bit of a false argument because Goddell and the rest of the board are not playing (hence not impacted in the now) and long term damage from concussions usually takes years to manifest themselves thoroughly.
An AIDS outbreak or even Syphilis in the industry would not take years to manifest itself especially because Tony T.'s lab does not test EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the industry. There re other labs doing tests for porn people.
But fine, lynch him if you will.

I think when a crime was committed, it's normal to go to the police. When you want PR, on the other hand, you go to Twitter/Daily Beast/etc. And when false accusations are made by people of reasonable intelligence, they avoid making them to the police, because they know that's a crime.
I'm never gonna get over logic.

Tony has been 'involved' wit C.E.T. since it's opened it's doors which is why I have never tested with them, & never will. I'll pay for my regular doctor to test my blood/urine before I set foot in that place. -von S.

What if they have influence over individuals via records though? Couldn't they pressure someone like a young, new performer or threaten to expose them with doctored (read: manipulated) results?
BTW the testing company's stock is not determined by how clean the industry is, only how reliable the testing. I don't think it's the testing company's role to provide/give healthcare (that's what doctors are for), but rather to isolate those who pose a risk and keep them out of the available industry talent pool.

Again, I agree we need to be very careful crossing channels here. I certainly wouldn't accuse Tony of meddling with testing, nor could I. There's no evidence of this. I can only assume there is a system of checks and balances here, which hopefully insulates companies with such serious roles.
Just as I was saying earlier in this thread I don't think it's fair to judge Brazzers on isolated incidents of a couple bad actors who only represent a tiny fraction of their company and output, I don't think it would be fair just yet to judge Cutting Edge based on the questionable reputation of a select investor.
All I might wonder is, would I trust a company if all their owners had the same reputation as this guy? It's not unfair to be concerned and just ask questions.

Well the incident was put on video, so it would be really boneheaded for Nikki to fabricate this. She doesn't strike me as such a fool, when the accused will almost certainly have evidence that absolves them.
All the more reason for honest pornographers to keep video running even between takes. Make sure you cover your ass from false accusations. Nikki has been a fixture in the biz for quite a while and I am not aware of her being worse than a diva and going full on attack mode, such as one who would lie to destroy multiple peers careers. I am trusting this as legit for now.
