Evelyn Claire (clubevelynclaire) bot pms texts like "Hello? (Are you here?)" And to reply you have to pay first (after already paying for the subscription). It's so lame this is the way to grab a couple dollars. Also seen polls on her page where you need to pay to vote. Sure she can do whatever with her page but as a porn consumer I expect more from a pornstar OF sub. If she would put the money towards more exciting content I'd understand but she's basically just posing like she's some Victorias secret model all the time and only solo content. Boring. Pornstars of all people should know their audience. It's mostly about performance.
So I joined her Discord and scrolled through the history to see what's up with her porn career and stumbled upon this:
In my opinion her best work was for Vixen. And that racist thing sounds crazy. According to her the make-up artist at Vixen told her that. The whole thing comes across as 'I didn't get booked again by VMG and I'm sour about it'
Anyway I find that amateurs generally work harder for their fans. Some of those girls also post regularly on Reddit. Usually pretty hardcore kinky stuff. People who actually enjoy sex/performing and not only the money.

Yeah...the way I use OF the vast majority of the time is like a clip store.
Me: "Hey I want this video." Her aka usually her OF team: Here ya go!
- End conversation -
In fact, I would prefer if performers would just upload their latest stuff to a typical clip store. Don't really need the message features beyond serious custom-video inquiries, and people shouldn't be encouraging that. Tipping extra on top of paying for the video is cool though, as long as the initial video price wasn't ridiculous. And I've even tipped on OF for stuff the ladies did on company scenes. But paying to have them talk to you as if you're dating or to rate them or get voice messages or whatever shouldn't be encouraged, in my opinion.
So now I've chatted with "Evelyn" on onlyfans. I gave her a test if she's real by a question only Evelyn knows the answer to. She couldn't answer the question. Makes me think I'm probably chatting with a dude there.
The personal aspect is fake. I think a lot of accounts are completely handled by others. It's a business.
I just assume most of the pornstar accounts are managed accounts but on occasion they jump online and take over. A good way to tell is if they are logged on constantly. I mostly like OF as a way to support the girls who's work I love directly. I've had really great experiences with Charlotte Sins, Angela White of course and in the past Casey Calvert & Lacy Lennon.
Onlyfans is really a virtual strip clubs for content creators and adult stars. I try onlyfans there were too many girls that I'm fans of them. Just get a 5 minute anal scene is about 50 dollars, I can get an adult film star at a strip club get full nude for $ 40 to $100 how much the club prices or the feature price range. I rather have a nude adult film stars sitting on my lap then get turned on.
"OnlyFans statistics show she has about 61k likes and a standard monthly subscription of $14.99 per month"
"creators set their subscription price but can earn extra money through fees for private messages or tips from fans. OnlyFans takes about a 20 per cent cut of the creator’s earnings, and only 15 per cent if the sign-up [comes] via the creator’s own marketing channels"
"Frazer told Marshall, she won't be on OnlyFans for a long time but wants to take advantage of the opportunity while it is in front of her, adding "I do plan on killing it while I am in the game.”
Perhaps this is because it will not be a long-term option, as Frazer has noticed her popularity dwindling since her launch on the platform. Frazer reiterated to Marshall that she no longer consistently makes those extraordinary figures, adding, “I’ve gradually lost subscribers because, obviously, the novelty of Olivia Frazer being on OnlyFans is a one-off,”"
Met a few local girls who claim to be full time OFers and top earners. One of the girls has a cute face so I signed up and sub to her fan page. After looking at the content, which consisted of low quality videos and photos at poor angles with zero styling, I felt I got ripped off. Plus the constant spaming from her to pay extra to see more "poor quality content" really turns me off. I don't understand whats the big deal with OF and why it still exist, when there are so many high quality sites out there at about the same cost.
I got suckered a few times myself but did gain enough experience to know who to "trust" and who to avoid. I'm actually working on a blog post at the moment about doing honest reviews of many of the content creators whom I have had the "pleasure" of supporting... Ahem...
In any case, this is what I can muster up in a quickie after thought.
1) Actual pornstars (i.e. Chanel Preston, London Keyes, Angel Long, etc.) are most probably run my bots or other minions serving to create the illusion the star is indeed sending you "personnal" messages.
2) If the account doesn't say "NO PAYWALL", "NO PPV", or "EVERYTHING INCLUDING (SOME RESTRICTIONS)", then chances are the entry fee only grants you access to their DIY selfies and maybe some semi-nudes. If they don't boast no paywalls, then most if not all their material is pay to view. Scam artists like PJ Reyes, Ashley Ve, or Penny Cakez are some to avoid at all costs, as you can often see MORE of their stuff for free as promos on Reddit for example.
3) Most of these content creators who do offer PPV stuff think their stuff is gold. One of the aforementioned scam artists usually sells her clips $20-$50 each, which, let's face it, is completely ludicrous.
4) Those who offer "everything" on their pages usually aren't regular nor post with much frequency, or don't post "the money shot" stuff more than once or twice a month. I get get behind paying say $5 per month if there is 2 to 5 proper clips included, but when you pay $10 per month and for over two months there isn't a single update, well you get the idea.
5) Scope to see if they have a Reddit, a P0rnhub or another site where they promote themselves. People like Tenori Taiga who stopped her OnlyFans to go to Fansly doesn't offer anything that isn;t already posted up for free on her PH of Xhamster for example. Best to research your stuff first and see if it's worth it.
6) Unfortunately we live in the "iPhon" generation, and so it is completely normal to expect only vertically shot with natural lighting stuff that ANYONE could shoot on any given day. In fact rare are those who actually put care and attention to production values in their material, so word to the wise: if you don;t dig that "cell phone" porn format, chances are you are better off NOT subscribing to OF.
7) CUSTOM CLIPS and such. So far I have only found one content creator who seems to be offering "decent" rates for customs, but all others think that they are worth a Jenna Jameson rate. I've had some say $30 a minute for a custom, which unless it features 100 1990s Peter North clones doing a Bukkake shot by either Rex Borski or Michael Ninn (for example), I strongly doubt it's worth it.
(I think I may have already posted something about custom clips a while ago, so maybe there's some answers there. Suffice to say for customs I'd go for MV (ManyVids) as they offer some form of garantee).
8) Be careful... I unsubscribed from a few free OF pages (Users doing a free page to promote their paid page) only to discover the content creators subbed to MY profile to be able to fill my inbox with their spamming! It's ridiculous, especially since some of them are obviously "bots". I tried on a few occasions to "reason" with the spammers and they just kept on spamming, so I just blocked them.
Lastly (about f*cking time!) some content creators will offer discounts in order to entice new members to be suckered in (or to sample what they offer). This is a good way to get a vibe on what a paid sub could be. One lady who is really all that offers great content: daily nudes, some daily tease clips, and about one bonafide hardcore clip every week or so. That's gold. However like I said, some are totally erratic and unless you sub to "cannibalize" their content in under 30 days, really aren't worth it.
Because in the end, YES they ARE the ones creating the smut, but it's a buyers' market and you can find better stuff for cheaper elsewhere. Anyway that's my though on the subject as of Nov. 29 2022.
I have limited (and generally negative) OF experience and I'm sure that many people will find what you've written to be useful and valuable. Thanks for posting it.
PPV means paywalls, not customs so it's basically generic stuff which has to be purchased to be viewed.
For customs (and I have a lot of experiences with those) I'd go for MV due to the fact that if something goes wrong, you can have actions taken by the site on the content creator.
OnlyFans is a "trust" thing - if the creator decides to off and run with your payment without delivering, there's nothing you can do.
As far as being the "director", my experiences have proven that very rarely do customs turn out like you wanted them to, because you aren't there yourself to fix the lighting or camera angles, etc.
I've heard of LoyalFans but only recently learned they have a Clip Store feature.
Might not seem like a big deal but considering that's basically what OnlyFans is (clipstore via PPV DMs with performer's assistant(s)) this automatically makes LoyalFans objectively better.
Doesn't take much to be better than OnlyFans layout which is barely better than string and tape but LoyalFans succeeded IMO.
Contact of mine is waiting on a reply from an IAFD staff member if LoyalFans submissions will be accepted since the clip store has all the necessary details for approval (title name, running time, release date, etc)
As viewers it makes it much easier to know of new content and boost the awareness for the performer(s) if their content is added to the database.
OnlyFans submissions are rejected 99% of the time because it's almost impossible for non-subscribers to verify any info on a specific "scene" and it's an unorganized mess.
Meaningless achievement but not surprisingly Lily Lou was recently named LoyalFans featured creator of the month
Here's her clipstore
https://www.loyalfans.com/lilylou/store
Even the most dedicated OnlyFans supporter can't deny that this is a superior buyer experience if that's what you want
Too bad most performers are lazy and don't understand customer convenience. If more switched to LoyalFans or if OnlyFans bothered to upgrade itself there would be less resentment towards self content platforms.
I followed Casey Calvert on OF for a while, and she said that she was limited in what she would post because she's following their terms of service. She seems to be posting more on her LoyalFans.
I know a lot of people hate that a lot of chicks only post max of 10 second video clips there are a few chick like Riley Reid and selti are posting quality stuff on OF you just have to search for these chick. Most chicks there whole OF account is nothing but garbage.
After a brief period of interacting with Phoenix Marie on there, here is my take away. Conversations feel disingenuous and unauthentic. Answers and vibe is inconsistent, which leads me to believe that you're not talking to the actual person in most cases but with some kind of contract company that manages the account. A lot of content is recycled through PPV with no thumbnails so you dont know what you are buying until you've already paid money. It some cases you wind up getting the same content over again without knowing it. I've since deleted my account. There are many other platforms to scratch that porn itch.
Pricing is clearly the the main issue it only got worse when they started cutting clips and calling it multiple videos that was the killer for me though it also drives me nuts with all the wasted talent and missed opportunity's alot of these people could have had it huge like Layla Bunny or Kaymora Jane and Coming soon Surfergirl1.1 and Demi Desani and that's just a few i can think of on my work computer, they could have made it huge if they just at least looked into sexyjobs.com espeshally in the LBGTQ community, idk if they are/were hoping to get noticed but much like real life the people worth a damn need you to notice them. Granted i was scouted when i got into the business but for a guy thats like an $100 landing on your shoulder during a smoke break. Also mentioned some big names who just seem to be robotic after a while and just the assloads upon assloads of messages per minute it also kinda broke my loyalty with Big Names i asked Jessica Drake and Jesse Jane for details on autographs while just said she didnt wasnt doing anything custom Jesse just ignored it but not my other messages so im bitter but they probably get 100000000000000000s of messages a minute while on the note of messages all the pathetic scum bag POS's whos mothers clearly need a good beating with a bible who constantly send degrading, hateful, and threatening messages (if your one of those people i hope your kids get cancer, if you dont have kids then your cats) granted thats the messages but all the freaks that post absurd amounts of obsession comments. Oh and STOP STARING AT THE CAMERA!!! YES WE SEE YOU THATS WHAT THE CAMERA IS FOR, FOCUS ON YOUR PARTNER OR YOUR SELF EUPHORIA thats an automatic unsubscribe for me.....Hi, have a good day k thx bai
It's mainly the problem is the pricing and a lot of performers you are into. I wouldn't spend 500.00 for a birthday masturbation video for 2 to 5 minutes from their onlyfans. I can purchase that money on Adult Time, Vixen media and DVDs.
If you subscribe to a pornstar, would you generally have to pay separately for each scene?
As in, you have to pay the subscription fee and content fees? And there's no way of knowing what the cost is of the content you actually want before subscribing?
In most cases, the real pornstars only offer free pics once in a while but most of their video content is also extra pay to view, so yes... (the scam of OnlyFans) you pay to gain access to their feed and then need to pay per clip to view.
In "most" cases those amateurs/DIYers who offer everything included in the subscription fee will advertise it up front. If they don't, then they are probably "scammers" who offer nothing of interest in their monthly subscription.
Won't name and shame the girl for the hustle but she was asking for $50 for a G/G vid. Really? Ok not my thing and some viewers no doubt really love or prefer G/G but that's pretty steep IMO. Different girl (one of the few I have a paid subscription to) charges on average $25 for B/G new IR scenes (earlybirds) and eventually sells for $15 a few weeks later. Even offers bundles pretty often for $10.
Pricing is all over the place but clearly there are people willing to pay. Lives are probably the worst at extracting money from fans. Asking for hundreds for tits out, additional hundreds for panties off and more hundreds to finally masturbate. Crazy to see specific fans tipping throughout that the total cost ends up being around $100 each.
If it was a B/G live maybe I would tip $5 or $10 max but for a solo I simply observe and keep quiet. Some girls are quick to kick out/block users who make requests and don't tip. Sucks for them but also lacking common sense. Girls however seem to lack it too. Might have 3-4 lives a week and the same users tipping each show. Basically blowing half their weekly paycheck if not more. Have to wonder if some of these users simply file chargebacks with their banks/credit card provider and restart from scratch and rejoin under a different name.
Been reading over some of the comments on this thread and here's my input:
-There have been complaints about performers charging to view videos on OF that are available free on tube sites as if the performer is somehow being deceptive. However, it's not that simple. Did the performer post the videos on the tube sites or did somebody else, perhaps without their knowledge? Scenes I did about 20 years ago are posted on tube sites, but I didn't post any of them or find out they were posted until later. Also, even if performers are both selling videos and images on OF and posting for free on tube sites, I'm not going to hold that against them. Nothing wrong with maximizing their income potential for work they did. Additionally, be careful with tube sites. "Free" is up to interpretation: https://adultbizlaw.com/2012/09/12/privacy-porn-is-free-internet-porn-really-free/
-Lastly, even if some pictures on OF are available elsewhere online for free, some people may still pay to express appreciation for the work the model took the time to do and encourage them to continue such work.

I'm very much for sex workers and sex performers working independently and outside the mainstream studio landscape. But after using OnlyFans, I'm not really a fan of the site and stop using the site months ago. 1) Onlyfans vids and setup aren't the way I like to watch porn now. Most of the videos are too short with videos costing $10 for 10 min. vid with most videos being of low quality and on a camera phone. I'm a fan of many different pornstars, not just one and then you have all the amateur content creators. So, If I sign up for 3 or 4 of my favorite pornstars and a couple of new content creators OnlyFans. that could all come up to $100 a month. I'm paying around 40 bucks for 4 sites right now. Also, you can't download or save videos to your PC on OF. 2) Most of the content creators and pornstars on OF are just doing the same trash porn that the studios are doing and just chasing PornHub trends. Also, Most content creators and pornstars don't have the money and backing to make 2/3 hour big production movie with a real story and plot like something from Lust Cinema or Wicked. I like feature movies. So, It's hotel porn with shitty camera work. 3) Are OnlyFans and the content creators really that more ethical than most major studios? I've heard a lot of stories of abuse and people not being paid by performers on OnlyFans. Also, Most content creators perform for content trade. So, I've found other ways to support my favorite pornstars like buying stuff from their site or joining their discord and twitch stream.
What's unethical is piracy and people posting content they have no right to. I disagree about it being unethical for performers to post their work they created and have rights to in different places. It's a matter of adapting to where technology is at in this era and people's circumstances, more than an issue of ethics to me.
^^^ they don't need your support bro. We as porn fans should just stick to the quality stuff and clearly that takes a studio with people working in the background, and solid performers who are paid handsomely for their effort. I don't send Leonardo di caprio money cause I like his act on wolf on wallstreet. I go to the cinema and watch his damn movie. Honestly on onlyfans I'd rather support "amateurs" that make niche porn that isn't available elsewhere. For professional performers I watch their stuff on the studio sites that make them look the best. I don't buy some dudes tripod hotel sex scene. And certainly not on OF in a format that is more like a scam rather than actually delivering a quality product for your moneys worth. "But it's only 10$, can't expect much for that?!" Well that same shitty badly lit terrible angle short video has probably been sold 1000 times over. Did even a tenth of it go into producing that video? No. Stop being silly. How I see it is you pay them to be lazy. They like to be lazy of course, less effort, more money. That's why it exists in the first place.
^ You can't compare a porn performer to Leonardo DiCaprio. Last I checked, no porn performer was being paid $20M+ for a performance.
Before OF, porn performers had gift lists and wish lists. As long as everything's upfront, what's the issue with people giving donations to a porn performer?
^^ "I disagree about it being unethical for performers to post their work they created and have rights to in different places."
I suppose ethics are a personal decision. So, if someone was trying to sell you a product, and were surreptitiously giving it away for free elsewhere, you would be completely fine with that?
What I'm fine with is people making a living. What I'm fine with is people diversifying their income potential and adapting to the technological and economic climate we live in. If people pay for content and get what they paid for, I don't see that as a scam. A scam is if they pay for content and get none or don't get the content agreed to or what was advertised.
To add, I noticed musicians performing for tips and many people didn't tip. However, I did tip. Does that answer your last question? I was fortunate enough to be able to tip, so I did and they were taking the time to perform the music. Can people chose where to spend their money? Of course. Am I telling people how to spend their money? No. That's beyond my control.
Also, as another example, a group of us went to a place where we picked blueberries and peaches. The person who ran the orchard wasn't there and we were on our honor to leave a payment. And yes, we paid. I realize you said you're okay with voluntary donations, but responding to what you asked concerning if I would pay for what's surreptitiously available for free, the answer is yes, I have.
Are you saying that if OF models also post some of their content elsewhere, they have an ethical obligation to put a disclaimer on OF saying where else they post? Does OF allow that? I doubt if for obvious reasons.
Also, you're calling performers unethical for issues that are more systemic and adapting to the system we live under. Tube sites compete with ppv sites such as OF, so if they stick just to paid sites even if they prefer that it can restrict their income (even if some brag about how much they make). It's easier if we can just stick to one platform and less work (though still work). Diversifying income can be a good business strategy. Also, even if we just look at ethics in terms of ethics to consumers instead of ethics toward performers and workers, the performers could be ethical to consumers by posting in different places. For reasons I previously mentioned, "free" is up to interpretation and some customers might prefer not to use the "free" sites due to cookies, privacy breeches, their computers freezing, virus notifications, or other reasons.
That said, you made a good point that it's a false equivalent to compare Leonardo DiCaprio to porn performers income-wise. To add to what you said, independent models on OF, cam, etc. don't have a guaranteed base income and aren't paid by production studios like Leonardo DiCaprio is. Even so, I realize how people wish to spend their money is their decision. Just not accepting the complaints about independent performers expanding their income potential on materials they took the time to create and that they have rights to.
^ idk some claim to make 500k$ per month and more on OF. I think Leonardo gets paid per movie contract not by month. Anyway one is creating phone shot short clips and the other performs in a world class production spanning over years of work.
I feel like porn studios we like get the short end of the stick. They're used to gain popularity. Their content is illegally published on tube sites and performers who already got paid anyway aren't shy to promote tube sites for their own gains. Lure people to their OF and not meeting expectations. But it makes the fan feel good cause they're still watching on tube sites for free and now supporting the girl.
So what will the future be like? No more studios and tons of poorly shot short clips spread over dozens of subscriptions? Not to mention PPV and such tactics. The end of the porn industry as we know it? Or will it be totally centered around a performer where she books a studio for content (the opposite way)? Can already see that happening with Adriano sites. His sites don't get updates for months while he does content for various pornstar OF accounts.
There are different paths to creating and building a fan base and I'm just having issues with one of them. The one that is in my opinion destructive to the industry as we know it. Happens to be a common path for the pro performers/stars.
^You're right about times changing. Porn production companies are increasingly facing more competition as the Internet expands from so many places: OF, tube sites, live cam sites to name a few. Major porn fans may know more about this than I do, but from what I've noticed, it seems like many production companies from back in the day are no longer around- including established ones that were around for years way back when and produced hundreds or thousands of videos. Some of those that are still around don't produce as much- like maybe 1 video a month compared to 15+ a couple of decades ago.
It's a matter of adapting to the times. Some production companies may post on the tube sites to generate income from clicks or ads there. Plus, posting on tube sites might be a way to get people to their paid sites. That is, some post parts of videos for "free" and then end the video before the "money shot" saying something like "to see the rest, go to such and such a link" where people pay.

Porn studios could prepare for the future by engendering some loyalty from the performers, but all you hear about is how producers and male performers get on set and act a fool, pushing the women's stated boundaries, doing shit without asking, keeping them on set longer than 8 hours, trying to add a dude to a scheduled GG scene AND - AND - AND !!!! not trying to pay the performers full rate for a scene with a guy after surprising them with a guy in the first place....we could all go on with the negative stories....then there's the production styles and content types that pointedly do not want the women to experience pleasure. Of course the women run off set and go shoot their own stuff if/when they can.
Manwin, Gamma, and the like, will continue to introduce us to new faces, some of which many of us will like and follow them to their eventual privately-owned content. Or they will learn to make studio shoots more objectively advantageous.
It is well past time for studios, and the dudes behind them, to make it overtly worthwhile for performers to keep coming back to studios. The women don't want to show up and be groped with the cameras off, etc.
The studio dudes should grow up. If that ever happens, the disadvantages of self-produced content (mainly lesser production value) will be more pronounced.
The behavior of studio people is especially annoying when you're like me and have no space for dudes in the content you consume anyway. Like...I don't care if she didn't suck you off to get you hard before the shoot officially started. Either learn to behave, pay them more, and put them on the pedestal they should be on as physically exposed performers, or keep watching them make stuff at home where they are allowed to be comfortable. It's so simple.

^ I always feel most OnlyFan content creators are just looking for and care about "Whales ". The main goal for most is to suck in "Whales" If shitty quality porn still gets big money spenders to buy their $2k customs scenes, then why should they stop
How different is the quality between studio produced and OF videos overall? I ask because people keep bringing this up, including posting a Tweet with somebody complaining about what's in the background of OF videos (though it looks like the Tweet may have been sarcastic). Not sure about now, but back in the day there were low budget studios where the lighting and sets weren't high quality. Sometimes, scenes looked to be shot out of cheap motel rooms. Even with most higher budget studios from my understanding, scenes weren't typically shot out of studios, but more commonly out of private homes (like OF videos). Though I don't have a huge amount of scenes, the only scene I did in the studio was with Score (and great studio BTW).
Even with studio-produced videos, customers still sometimes complain about lighting, camera work and so on even if they praise the performers. There can also be distracting noises in the background. It may be harder now to get away with low-budget studio productions considering all the competition they now face online.

Watch a porn film from the '70s and 80s, movies like The Opening of Misty Beethoven, I don't think had a big budget but still looked like a high-budget movie. This all changed during the start of the VHS era. You have studios like AdultTime, and Lust Cinema or films by Shine Louise Houston which have a low budget but still have that big-budget feel.
Thanks for the reply, Will. It looks like what you're saying (which I agree with) is we shouldn't lump all porn studios together or overgeneralize. Just because some produce low quality doesn't mean all do. We can apply the same logic to OF models. I say this because though the title of this thread is negative and criticisms are to be expected, there is negative overgeneralizing toward OF models overall in some of the comments. I realize OF isn't everybody's "cup of tea" and that's fine. People have the right to decide whether to subscribe. However, this doesn't justify the derogatory comments toward OF models overall targeting mainly women. This is bordering on misogyny, though I'm not disputing constructive criticisms.
Also, there seems to be this assumption that women are taking advantage of men they perceive as "stupid" for paying for the content they (the models) took the time to create. Not sure what it's like on OF, but in the camming world, the men who pay us aren't typically the ones perceived as stupid, but the ones who tell us what to do for free are. Are they too "stupid" to know that by doing this, we're not going to do what they say and they get banned from out chatroom? After all, we're not telling them to do their jobs for free. Also, it's the men who refuse to pay or try to undercut the women who are looked upon more negatively. Being in various forms of sex work and around sex workers, I've heard some have call such men "cheap" or "time wasters" while speaking positively of more generous men. Of course, there can always be exceptions.
Should we say this with every service? Like if I get a massage, are they treating me like I'm "stupid" by charging me or are they charging for time and service? Same if I go to the doctor. Are they taking advantage of my "stupidity" by charging me. Or if I go to the grocery store, are they assuming I'm "stupid" by charging for food? After all, eating and health are necessities.
^ Men like to think these women are motivated by other things than money. And that is a turn on for them. The best pornstars understand this really well and are great actors.
^^I can't speak for the budget of Misty Beethoven but regardless of what it was. The end result is that this is one of the better acclaimed porn films of all time. Granted by todays standard it would likely be considered a snooze fest as this is an heavily story driven movie that just happens to have some hardcore sex scenes in it. Not that I completely disagree with that mind set since that is a valid description of most movies made in the 70's and 80's. Lot's of acting and very little fuck..g. Worse is that most of the fuck..g is often shot in less than ideal positions and too often with bad lighting but that was porn back then. Not sure I would put AT as a whole in the same category as your other two suggestions since a lot of AT's content showed a significant lack of budget with Pure taboo being the exception.
^I don't know that we can say most current porn studios offer low quality porn because the vast majority of them use lighting and filming equipment that is generally excellent. Of course that doesn't translate to good porn. As an example. I'm not a huge fan of POV porn so even the best equipment on the planet won't make that kind of porn any more palatable to me so it's always going to be of low interest. The same can't be said for OF because here the lighting and filming equipment is often low quality with many models using their smartphones and whatever lighting equipment they own. That's not to say that many OF models haven't forked over thousands of dollars on better lighting and filming equipment but I daresay your average model isn't going to do that if he/she can get away with using their phone and normal lighting. I would also add that even if an OF models does fork over the cash for better equipment. It won't necessarily translate to good content because there is a learning curve in shooting videos and no one is an automatic natural at it.
I agree that people in the camming world expecting to get something for free are delusional. I don't know that the same can be said for the people in the OF World because unless they joined a models page for free then these people have a valid reason to be displeased when they realize that whatever amount they paid for was basically worth nothing as they will have to fork over significantly more money to get actual content. Worse is that even after they have forked over the extra cash. What they get for it may very well be worth crap.
I like your massage analogy so let me give you an example and you can tell me what you think. Let's say you book an appointment for a massage where you have to pay upfront. After you are settled and the person starts the massage. You quickly realize that the person has no clue what they are doing and instead of helping you. It's starting to hurt. Would you be stupid in thinking that you got conned out of your money since you expected to get a massage from someone who knew how to do it? I'm not touching the doctor or grocery store examples because they aren't applicable.
Since you are familiar with the camming world then let me give you a comparable camming to OF. Let's say that a model advertises a cam show but you have to pay "X" amount upfront. She doesn't mention what will be done in the cam show but hints that it might be worth it. Wouldn't most of the people who choose to pay have reason to be at the very least disappointed if the show last a few minutes and it's mostly nude stuff? Wouldn't they also feel a little stupid for having paid without any guarantees of content? I suspect that this is what often happens with way too many OF models and the people who pay for hope rather than reality.
Yes, and some are motivated by more than just money, though I don't spend to much time focused on motives because I'm not a mind reader and cannot speak for other people's. All we can observe is the quality of their work. Sometimes, the customers may get so caught up in fantasy that they forget about reality or don't wish to think about it. However, it is coming out on this thread. For people who are motived by more than just money, being compensated allows them to keep doing what they enjoy. At the very least, they're hopefully able to meet basic survival needs and at best thrive doing what we love. Of course, money is a motivation in any paid job or economic pursuit and understandably so even if it's not the only motive (though for some people it might be the main motive in any industry.) Who among us can just do our jobs for free without bills or living expenses to pay no matter whether we enjoy our work, don't, or have mixed feelings?
