Or, are you paying for the whole scene, IE male talent, equipment, etc etc. If I were to pay $1000+ for a decent custom based on some of the $ numbers tossed around here, I better be getting something of higher quality than some lackey holding an IPhone.
Where does it say the performer can't profit off it? Unless its agreed upon and they send you the only copy in existence, they can sell it as much as they like. I mean for argument sake, Blake B did a custom for Joe Mama, where she says, "Hey Joe Mama, do you want me to stuff both these dicks in my mouth at the same time?" and is then selling it on OF, I'd be getting it real quick, regardless if she's shouting out to Joe.
^ I agree but thats why you find the right model who takes shooting customs seriously before you spend tons of money on it. There are models who have shoot locations and hire professional directors or camera crew to shoot them for customs. If you get the wrong model then of course you are going to spend tons of money on a poorly shot custom.
Most performers dont resell customs because they are exclusive. Other models will give the option to have the custom exclusive which is more expensive or where they can resell it but the custom is cheaper. I know Casey Calvert and Sinn Sage gives the option. The majority of Sinn Sage scenes are customs. Her customs are cheaper than other models but she resells them to make more profit from it. Im with you Id rather buy a custom scene to my liking even if its for someone else. At the same time if I had the money Id like to order a decent G/G custom that has everything Id like in it. So it works both ways for me.

Amia Miley agreed to a custom video and sent a "similar" video that was so old she didn't have the same tattoos. She sent some stock photos from like 5 years ago as a bonus of sorts. That is really sad. That pretty much violated the basic rules for customs at OF. A requested custom video is not something you pull from the archives. It is something new that you make for a specific customer.
I would have filed a complaint and I think OF would tell her to do it the right way. And if there really was no Amia Miley available, that would be a violation as well. Displayed OF models are expected to actually be members of the site.
^I checked their terms and I didn't see any mention of custom content. As far as I can tell the only thing OF is responsible for is the content that is uploaded on their platform and a custom video request is basically an understanding between the requestor and the producer. I don't think OF gets a cut of the profit from a custom video as it will not be content uploaded to OF.
The part about it not being her is speculation, but I highly doubt she is sitting around at midnight PST chatting on OF. Maybe she was, but I'd wager another busted custom that it wasn't. With regard to the custom content, afaik anything you send as a "tip" is essentially non-refundable. As I said the video was similar to the one requested and for the amount charged, another red flag, it wasn't worth the fuss. So, lesson learned... whenever you purchase custom content ALWAYS have it sent to you as a PPV/paid unlock and never, ever "tip me and I'll send it" just to cover your own ass.

^^ Thanks, pat362. My experience is that some models upload the custom to OF in the private chat, as if it were a PPV, So she will have a caption saying something like, "Here is your video. I hope you like it." And that is below the request for the tip associated with the cost of the custom in the style of the blue bar of a PPV pay request. Once you pay for the custom in that way, the custom itself then appears in the Purchases section.
The other setup is for the model to send the custom to the sub's email address once the sub has tipped her at OF for the custom. This is more along the lines of what you have indicated.

Fortunately, if you document your "case," OF may even refund a tip-based custom. I ordered a fetish custom from Charity Crawford for $200 as two "agreed-upon" $100 tips. When she did not do it, I notified OF. They told me that she would be allowed 7 business days after OF notified her about her inaction to make the custom. If within this time frame she did not produce the custom, you would supposedly get your money back. I did not see this information anywhere in the OF rules.
I did get my money back, but it was placed in the OF wallet, which was OK as I had other uses for it. I did not ask whether it could be directly refunded to my credit card associated with the wallet.
I am wondering who is actually paying for these though. Wow. the pornstar I follow is my favorite but wow she is very ridiculous with the low end hustle. I haven't bought much from her because of that. She was charging $30+ dollars for a scene she shot from almost 15 years ago that I found on a stream for free. Wow.
Thats kind of the point. Pornstars can have ownership of their scenes and sell them over and over again no matter how old it might be. A pornstar shoots a scene for a studio that pornstar only gets paid once. That studio gets paid over and over and over for that same scene no matter how old it is. Now you can complain about the price but please dont complain about the purpose.
Also not all pornstars do this. There are plenty of pornstars who sell "old" scenes extremely cheap. Its irrelevant to find a scene on a stream for free. We are talking about supporting the pornstar not stealing from them. Which in the end is going to ruin it for everyone when pornstars stop shooting anything due to that. I remember Adriana was so upset about finding her content being stolen she meant about not shooting anymore. Then you have those like Violet Myers who used to have her onlyfans unlocked when you sub but since people was taking her content and putting on tube sites for free she changed to now PPV. Yeah but they are selling studio scenes. Looking at a stream of a studio scene is not personally stealing from the pornstar, they have already been paid unless they are getting points on it. If someone wants to get it they can. If they want to wait till it gets released on SheSeducedMe site they can. Again, if the studio can sell one model scene over and over again but they only get paid once, why cant the model do the same for themselves? Plus if you like the work of SheSeducedMe from seeing the scenes you purchased on onlyfans then you might want to join the site to see more of their work for other girls. So again it works both ways and there is a benefit imo.
^^&^Maybe somebody in the know has an accurate answer but I suspect that whenever a performer has the same video as a studio then it's because both parties agreed prior to shooting that each could offer the video and I think that the performer does not get paid since she can monetize the video.
I just need to say this...and you can say I am simply bitching and that I need to simply move on, but I have an issue with what seems like the "yard sale" approach to a lot of what is being offered on onlyfans.
I mean every other DM is a "spam" of buy these 4 pics or subscribe to my friend's page. Or content creators that you have heard in interviews say they hate receiving dick pics now asking to rate your dick for a fee. I understand they want to make money but it is borderline desperate.

I remember awhile back having a conversation with a friend and we talked about we dont believe many directors listen to the fans in regards to who we want them shooting and different pairings. We can sign up to any site and even make suggestions but we take what they give us. Some times its a great pairing and if you find that rare director who will listen then we get more and more great pairings and more and more great performers shooting often for them. Thats another thing I love about OF is that I dont have to worry about a pairing never happening or not happening enough. I could never get enough of Ivy Lebelle and Lena Paul. Theyve shot like four times for mainstream. I feel like thats not enough for two great performers that have great chemistry. Id watch them 10 hex over one time with a pair who has awful chemistry together. Well on OF Ivy and Lena off the top has shot at least 1 hex together. Most recently two B/G/G scenes and a G/G scene. You cant and wont find any site where they would even attempt to shoot Ivy and Lena more than maybe once or twice. Ive seen GFF shoot Prinzzess and India the most which was 1 hex . The main reason was because Prinzzess was the contract girl so Im sure she as well as GFF loved them paired up. Plus I also thought to that Dan who was over GFF actually listened to the fans thats why there was so many great pairings. Well besides Julia Ann and Elexis Mornoe or Julia Ann and Magdalene St. Michaels. To me, OF is this vast new continent full of new opportunities, rich natural resources, and unexpected dangers around every corner. It is an adventure, and is for the explorer in each of us.
A lot of sites seem to start out as freewheeling and then get regimented.
Despite its drawbacks, right now might actually be the good old days at OF.

I agree like I keep saying, OF has its pros and cons. Some have witnessed more cons than pros. I believe that you have researched and found good content creators and have been lucky to find that one of your favorite pornstars is actually a good content creator which makes your OFs experience worthwhile. I believe that may be the rub, if your favorite pornstar is a good content creator and provides a good value then the experience is worth it.
I believe my issue is mainly that my favorite pornstar is not a good content creator and overcharges, likely isn't the one answering her DMs, spams your DMs with "Buy this video, buy these pictures" with every message and runs the site more like a "going through the motions vanilla business." The idea of being a subscriber to her is good but the reality is that her particular OF site and therefore experience given to her subs is pretty shitty.
And for me personally it wasn t just her but a few other pornstars that I like also who have had more cons than pros on their page. It is what it is.
Also I wanted to add that a lot of subscribers do have the wrong idea because they are attempting to have a pseudo girlfriend experience with a lot of the content creators and that is not the expectation someone should have about the platform. I do think the platform is trying to sell the "potential" of sex or the "potential" for the girlfriend experience and that is where the subscriber needs to keep their mind sober and drink a healthy dose of reality in order to not be taken advantaged of.
^I completely agree with you and I think the model/performer or whoever actually manages their account goes out of their way to foster that illusion for fear that not doing that will affect the number of people who sign up or keep signing up. The current premise that OF works under is that you directly support your favorite girl when you join her OF account. In many ways that is true because she keeps 80% of whatever she makes but then again that has been the system the porn industry has worked under for decades. The only difference is that she gets a guaranteed flat rate for shooting a porn video while she can earn significantly more if she gets enough people to join her OF account. Since the good will of her fans is a must then the incentive to create a false intimate relationship with them is a must and therefore it shouldn't surprise anyone that they will do just about anything to continue the illusion.
Canceling a sub is literally one click on a tab labeled... subscriptions. With respect, this is a really, really bad point.
Regarding Riley Reid, her OF is extremely subpar to put it politely, it's a microtransaction goldmine for microlength content. Hers is one of the worst out there, so while it holds up as a bad role model it doesn't reflect the majority of other model pages.

lol for real...plenty of actual valid complaints to be had, this isn't one of them though. I'm still salty they removed a feature from the "Gallery" where you could see all your unlocked PPV messages. I heard they were reworking the entire messaging system like 6 months ago so I thought they removed it as part of that, but the messaging system has been the same since then.
Yeah I know the frustration when your favorite pornstar doesnt seem or just flat out isnt a good content creator. The free OF account I joined that was free she was one of my favorite content creators. I thought it wasnt a good onlyfans because she was too expensive so when my 30 days was up I didnt renew. Now over time I noticed she changed how she ran her OF and her content wasnt expensive like it was when I first joined. That allowed me to go back and sub a few times and get content. Thats one of the things I look at. Some models arent there to rob us blind and make it a bad experience. Some models really want to do what ever they can to make their OF worthwhile to fans. They are open to suggestions on how to improve their OF and they go about making changes. Ive seen it first hands. If you do run into that model who only cares about money and not making their OF worthwhile then yes its sucks for the fans and I just chalk it up to that model just doesnt truly care about their fans. But for the most part Ive definitely been fortunate that Ive found some of my favorite pornstars that are also good content creators and make their OF worthwhile.
Some pornstars dont like to flood DMs but I just except that more times than not I sub to an OF account and the DMs will be flooded. You can mute or stop it yourself but then you might miss things that you might end up being interested in. But yeah it sucks you and so many others have such crappy experiences with OF based on some pornstars just not being good content creators.
I'm probably not saying anything new that hasn't already been said. Most clips aren't shot in great quality and are charged questionable prices.
Unless you want to specifically support a certain performer (or several) it's your money but IMO you're usually not getting the best value.
If the appeal of OnlyFans is the personal chats (assuming you're not chatting with the performer's husband/boyfriend/some random person they hired...) then IMO you're probably better off just buying an item off the performer's Amazon wishlist. Most will usually send you a personal thank you message or in certain cases used lingerie if you're into owning things they've worn and no longer want... You'd arguably be spending less on Wishlist stuff than months of billing, tips and PPV on OnlyFans.
If you don't want anything naughty but a personalized video (like a custom, but nothing NSFW) you should probably request the performer you like to have a cameo.com account if they don't already have one.

You're absolutely correct but I also don't think that it's always a bad thing. The model I spend the most on isn't because I buy a few big ticket portions of content it's because almost everything she offers is in small packages. I'm probably an outlier in that I prefer pics over vids when it comes to standard and custom content, so that definitely factors into how I weight my opinions of the OF experience.
In my mind it would only be a hustle if she claimed the video from 15 years ago was new content. Also, not everyone scans the net looking for content from a girl. I keep reading some of these posts and keeping thinking the same thing...Just because a person doesn't agree or like what's being offered doesn't automatically mean it's a "rip off" or the people who do like it and pay for it are "suckers". It's also fairly clear that all or even most of the girls aren't just out to rip guys off and take their money. If there are girls just blatantly ripping off subscribers it's not a sustainable business model. From what some people are pointing out here for most girls it's a work in progress of trying to figure out that sweet spot of content/price. And that Sweet spot might be always changing. Maybe when the girl only had 100 subscribers most of them were okay with a quick 5 minute video taken with a phone sitting a a table. But 300 subscribers later they may want better quality and she had to buy a camera, lights, and hire someone to actually shoot the longer footage. So she charges more. Perhaps lowering the price of a video doesn't always mean it's going to automatically sell more. Maybe charging $40 for it she sold 50 and perhaps only charging $25 means she sold 60. Yeah, she sold a few more but at the lower price she made less than selling fewer at the higher price. Every girl will run their OF differently based on what works for them and if you don't like it that's more than okay. Move along and try to find one that fits what your looking for but it's a huge waste of time to think every girl or even most are going to build their OF to fit what you want and expect...or even need to do that.

We are still trying to figure out if the pornstar even has ownership rights to the studio's scene because it is thought that the actress gets paid a flat rate for the scene and that is it.
