The information exists.
No one who has the information will give it to us.
Therefore we have no source for the information.
I can't make this any simpler.

What Flash is referring to above is that I've worked in mainstream entertainment for the past 28 years. For 22 of those years, I've also worked in various areas of porn. If you've made it down to Porn New & Press Releases, then you know I've done PR for Wicked and others for the past 12 years. As I type this, I'm in my hotel room, working for them at AEE 2012.
Now that the introductions are out of the way:
It is completely true. We can't help it if you're incapable of hearing anyone other than yourself.
Thank goodness. The last thing struggling porn performers need is ANOTHER entity beyond their managers, agents, etc. taking a cut of their pay. And by the way, since you're obsessed with "racism," please show us documented cases where this extortionist organization of grifters has EVER helped a dues-paying member out in a case where racial bias has prevented them from working.
Start posting links (to something more substantive than Twitter rants) if this dialogue is going to continue.
You've got to substantiate what you insist is true with facts, not gossip.
Like Harri said, we can't put this any simpler for you, bootymeister.

I think they could but you're putting into account established media with over a century of history , Porn as an industry is far from that , Deep Throat has been issued in 1972 not in XIX century , music and theatres are established since ancient Greece plus the Romans didn't have any racial issue they rarely say the color of skin of anyone and when they said we might discover a black person in a very high social position , Roman slavery wasn't ethnically based a Nubian slave although he was black wasn't a black slave he was simply a Nubian just like a German or a Celtic slave were simply a German or a Celtic, their slaves were mostly defeated enemies or condemned criminals , the Romans themselves were enslaved by their enemies when they defeated them and in very ancient times the Romans themselves could be enslaved , then a law was made to forbid slavery for Romans citizens , which had some consequences a white German as an enemy could be slave of a black African who had Roman citizenship, for example Lucius Apuleius was a Berber and therefore was black though there's no place in which his skin is described the Berbers are black (although very mixed during the centuries, they still live from Niger and Mali to north Africa) his father was a most important Roman and became a Consul the highest rank available in Roman politic career other than Emperor, Apuleius was an attorney but also wrote a very successful (for centuries) book of adventures called Metamorphosis or Asinus Aureus (literally the Golden Donkey but translated as the Golden Ass in English) in which was a large use of magic. Lucius Apuleius was a also a ladies' man and use to marry important and rich roman women and to divorce a while after . Women's relatives were mad because the man was getting money from the ladies he married either when married or after they divorced so accused him to illicitly seduce them with magic and sued him.
Lucius Apuleius defended himself and his defense is a contained in a book De Magia (about Magic) in which he demonstrates that Magic doesn't exist and therefore he was not guilty and all the ladies he married did that on their own will.
He was of course freed although all the Jury , the Judges and the Prosecutor were very likely all whites.
As said ethnicity or skin color wasn't an issue for the Romans , it didn't matter at all , though the aristocrats despised the non aristocrats but then again they preferred a noble black over a white Roman non aristocrat nor Knight
I consider myself heir of this way of thinking aristocracy excluded.
Why I said all this who seem not on topic , this meant that in theatres and music there was an established acceptance of anything for centuries, the Romans built theatres all over their Empire where was no racial discrimination at all.
anyway back on topic who has to advertise those girls with what cost? Where? Surely not on ABC or CBS , on cable TVs? Could be but it has already been reported that those TV aren't airing IR because too many of their customers do not want it (these are racists, no doubt about this) so how can you advertise black girls in there?
In a porn forum maybe , and they do, WE consumers do, the AVN do in a way , there are black nominees , but, apparently it is not enough
Again you reply with no references to who is the one you're talking to , besides this post of yours is full of prejudices ,and of course you doubt of the intelligence of all those who aren't in agreement with you , I don't even say a word about this kind of thinking his value is very apparent.
BTW economics IS practical and has nothing to do with intelligence , I sell I earn and pay , I don't sell I earn not and therefore can't pay, very simple since the time when human beings used shells instead of money

HBG.... you sound like you are entitled. but you are not. even as a black man, just like caucasian, and hispanic. you have different skin tones... and even in your own race ya call each other out for it. and you know it. its not just black and white.

The "twitter rants" you derisively ignore are commonly known as primary source information. And in a discussion such as this, where Black female performers are saying that they're paid less regardless of their fame, it's highly relevant to the discussion.
That you ignore such information because it refutes your own beliefs is unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that the facts are there.
What on earth are you talking about? Amy Reid would sell more than Marie Luv because she's more famous, which you've interestingly said doesn't matter on more than one occasion, which is odd as it's one area we would agree on if you simply said fame determined pay rates.
The central thesis of this argument however is that women of equal fame and popularity are paid unequal amounts based on race, which is obvious racial discrimination, you and those who agree with you however slough off such facts as merely the free market doing it's work even though of course classical free markets have never existed. They are always subjective to interference from various entities.
Well if racial discrimination in the industry with regards to pay rate exists, and it does, then the majority of producers and agents certainly wouldn't disclose it as they like the system as it is.
As for the only other source of information regarding such statements, female performers themselves, you've dismissed, because it contradicts your own opinion on the matter. Which is unfortunate, but it doesn't change the reality of the situation.

I trust what the Performers (who are veterans in this industry) more than I trust some guy on the Internet. I trust my own judgement more than I trust yours as well too.
With that said, those are either racist or prejudice (pick 1, pick 2)

Really? If there's one thing that you should never trust it is when people tell you how much money they make. Whenever someone's ego is involved I expect to get lied to a good deal of the time.

I put two random names or better I put a random name of a white performer and a chosen name of one of my favourite performers , my point was that Amy Reid will sell more than Marie because she is white , you can change that name and put another performer less famous or even a total newbie ,she may not sell as good as Amy but surely will sell more than Marie even though I doubt that a newbie would be paid more than Marie.
I was pointing out SALES as I'm doing for a good amount of posts now and yet I have to explain , fame might determine pay rates given the SAME customer background , Amy could get paid more than another less famous white performer , but also Marie gets paid more than another less famous black performer.
these are comparable markets , and even there there's a difference I can't imagine another star getting paid $ 4,000 to do her first IR scene , Nicole Ray did just one and I'm sure she got an amount far from that even with comparable sized guys (Amy with Lex , Nicole with Flash Brown)and even if Nicole's performance appears to be way better than that of Amy.
Is that discrimination? It's not it's market Amy sells much more than Nicole and that is all.
Equal fame and popularity BTW doesn't mean equal ability nor equal marketing value , Paris Hilton is popular and famous at least as much as Julianne Moore and maybe more , though I wouldn't pay a cent to watch her in a movie whereas I would go to see Julianne anytime, she is a far superior actress than Paris and that is why she gets paid more even if she might be less known and popular , same for Rene Russo or even Angela Bassett or Jada Pinkett I seriously doubt that Paris could get anything near their rates.
The reason why is simple many people would pay to see Angela in a movie I don't know how many would spend $ 12 to see Paris unless it's porn.
Also who do you believe will sell more John Turturro or Denzel Washington?
Who gets paid more between them?
Also the free market DOES exist you can in some ways try to direct it but not control it completely, there's a lot of people in there who don't buy black porn and you can't advertise them because you can't advertise porn in mass market channels nor in cable TVs which doesn't air blacks at all.
so what where do you want to advertise black stars , here on ADT?
Here already are lots and lots of black porn consumers , those who don't are casual customer or those who have cable TV but want more and are not members of any board they refused blacks as cable customers they refuse blacks as porn consumers that is why Amy sells more than Marie even though as said I do prefer Marie by far , not to mention Skin Diamond.

I didn't say that I meant that even a DVD with a total WHITE newbie on the cover will surely sell more than a DVD with Marie Luv do you want examples?
the Hustler's Barely Legal series for one or all those with new Starlets such as I wanna be a porn star or Look dad I'm in a movie now or all those focused on new stars such as New in the Game and so on there are many
wait a minute you trust what a veteran said on the internet but not what veterans said on this board ?
did you ever bother to read the posts here ? some replying are or have been in the Industry for decades or your actual way to judge is black say = right , anything else = wrong?

Don't try to put me in that box becuz you're frustrated. Yes I believe them and I will take their word with less salt than say a Camera Man or Film Editor who works for the same companies that BlackBall us. Especially Wicked Pictures or whatever, do they even feature Black performers regularly?
I'm not in the business of minding other people's fucking but Racial Discrimination is very prevelant today. If more ethnicities would be featured, the companies would sell more and everybody would be happy. You're not going to tell me that the volume of Porn being made today that features mainly white chicks is solely just becuz of economic reasons. I don't subscribe to Brazzers or Hustler or any of those companies becuz they feature Caucasians mostly. And I'm a customer so by our logic the companies/industry is losing money by selling just white people. Or does my money not count becuz I'm just one individual (that u just happened to run across)? It works both ways, you're just trying to save face. I don't need to be giving a grown man lessons on life

Since several people here keep stating that equivalent star power black performers don't get paid the same as white performers for the same type of role, please then, post the numbers you are using to come to this conclusion. Please. This massive detail seems to be missing. How much did one actress make for one title and how much did another make in the same title.

Proportion is 7:1 you don't buy from Brazzers because they're mostly focused on whites (you said Caucasians but Latinos and Jewish what are they? Aren't they white? They surely aren't Caucasians yet there's plenty of them in Brazzers productions) which means that they lose you but if they comply with your requests then they lose more whites who don't buy and even if it was only one just like you so the loss would be equal then why they should risk to lose more?
I don't buy for any reason DVSX productions nor JM Productions movies the first because they hire Mark Wallice as a director the others because of their misogynist behavior I'm not expecting much more than me doing this
@Flash
I don't know for sure , I was merely stating a possible cause based on sales but I might be wrong on this I have no figures of hiring costs.
Apparently the only source placed here is a statement made by Marie Luv on her Twitter maybe in 2009
I made all my assumptions basing them on the truth of such statement
Also if there's a difference I'd like to know if black owned companies pay the same black and whites actresses or pay less the blacks.
I'd be very interested in Latino and Asians rates for comparison

LCF that wasn't to you. That was to all the statements that black performers make less money for an equivalent scene than a white performer does. I think pay is based on market demand. People in this thread claim no it is racism and there is proof. So I want to see the proof.

Well Roads To Moscow since you're JN's publicist, and in possession of said "proof" you can let us know, without getting into specific figures of course, what girls of different races are getting paid in the industry, after controlling for popularity and time in the industry.

What are you referring to? Differences in compensation among actresses in the porn industry versus the movie industry? There are obvious differences to anyone who pays attention to both industries.

(edited to display that I am not referring to race in this post)

He was in fact talking about the female talents working with JN not JN himself
Also in my view and in any logic view those who must prove what they say are those who made a statement.
You said that there are differences in payment due to racism , so YOU have to provide figures to prove what YOU say.
Now you ask all the others to demonstrate the contrary, the contrary of what your posts are mostly insults, despise and rage , in many cases completely wrong for example you accused RtM to be a workers of racists company who back up their politics now you discovered that he works for Jack Napier among the others.
I don't think he's in possession of figures but maybe he didn't hear of that much complain about rates and payments or maybe he didn't saw this great difference.
but I once again have to explain that market value and popularity are different things some times unrelated , Paris Hilton is more popular than Julianne Moore yet Julianne is paid more , also she is at least as popular and famous as Nicole Kidman but again Paris is paid less than Nicole.
You really think that given her popularity Paris should be paid more than what she get and should be paid at least as much as Nicole Kidman?
Obvious isn't a figure , we're asking at least one proof , but since you're paying attention you surely have figures , otherwise what did you see to consider it obvious?
I'm not saying it isn't true but we have no figures yet , just a statement on a twitter account made in 2009 and that is all we have

Pretty much what I previously acknowleged. If, by saying that the "... adult model is pretty much the same as the mainstream one, economically at least.", you mean that the the porn industry is as racist than American mainstream movie industry, no arguing against that. White supremacy is paramount to the American film industry.

LCF you started off this thread saying that racism doesn't even exist and any disparity in pay is only due to the "free market," an abstract concept which doesn't actually exist, but we'll let that go for the moment.
Now you're saying that you don't even believe pay disparities exist between the different performers because you haven't seen "proof."
Well until Roads to Moscow, who's an industry publicist, lets us know who makes what, we'll have to go with the evidence from statements from the female performers themselves like Nyomi Banxxx and Marie Luv who've stated they make less than their white counterparts.
Now perhaps that isn't sufficient for you, but until others with other information come forward, it will have to do.

Quote one of my posts in which I stated that racism doesn't exist
I always said that is not the main reason for difference in payment ,of course if any , if not we're discussing of nothing
and I just quoted your and my previous post , you say I stated I don't believe a difference exists , actually all my posts here say the opposite I was putting REASONS why this difference exists.
I said we have no proof as of yet , you said there are statements of Marie Luv and Naomi Banxxx , well quote them , otherwise it would look like an urban legend
also free market is no legend you can try forever but you can't convince people to buy and eat shit , they most certainly will continue to buy bread instead.
for some reason you decided to misunderstand anything I say, this last post of yours is proof of this
I'm responsible for what I actually say not for what the others understand less of all for what the others willingly chose to understand

She makes claims about "ghetto" work and getting half your rate. That doesn't prove any of these claims. I suspect that white girls, asian girls, etc working for small no budget companies are getting half their rate too.
She also mentions Ed Powers offering a "crazy amount of money" not Ed Powers offering her less than everyone else.

Peoples Temple, I agree and disagree. I agree that the dictionary definition of racism has nothing to do with economic leverage. In the dictionary, it means "the belief that some races are genetically superior to others". The fact is, the few blacks who beleive that whites are genetically inferior (i.e Louis Farrakhan) have no economic leverage and are therefore of little consequence. The whites who believe blacks are genetically inferior do have economic leverage.

Don't act like she just had an epiphone. As far as I know a certain crowd convinced her to stop. While she was doing IR, I recall she was interviewed and asked "you know your driving your price down, right?". That didn't work because her answer was "...cool..." Then they asked "how do you feel about being called 'white bitch'?" that didn't work either. Quite a while later she stopped. If she is saying that racist derogatory things are the reason she stopped, it looks to me that those who wanted her to stop finally convinced her to. Some girls get convinced somehow before they even start doing IR by ppl like Derek Hay.

You know that for sure?
She said "I'm tired..." maybe at first it didn't matter , then she got pissed , you say some convinced her to , so if a Zoe Voss states something on her blog it's obviously not true and is actually excuse if Marie Luv says another thing on her twitter or Vanessa Blue on an interview it's obviously true.
Do you know that even Courtney Cummz hasn't IR anymore in her agency profile?
None of them could be labeled as racist especially the latter
Maybe and I'm saying maybe the way IR is done isn't good enough and some are getting sick of this?
Zoe Voss did an incredibly hot and passionate scene with Mickey Mod in a Nica Noelle's Feature issued and maybe filmed after she said he won't do IR anymore
also I always though that IR scenes are paid more than the others yet you say that she stopped fearing a drop in her prices, well she could just do more IR to compensate I guess, also she works a lot with Nica Noelle and Mile High who didn't give a fuck to this , Nica performs IR herself too, while doing IR she was working for Penthouse (an IR with Jack Napier), Digital Sin and Vivid , some parodies and a couple flicks for Evil Angel after ceasing to do IR her career had a slow down or at least didn't rise up.
So what you said isn't true or, at least, there's no evidence of it

A few different things are going on with respect to race - and racism - in porn.
First of all, the adult industry is inherently and repulsively racist. I always call it the last bastian of blatant, old school racism in western culture. It's disgusting, period.
And because of the way interracial relationships are often depicted in porn, some girls give their agents a "no interracial" blanket policy. This is so they're not booked for scenes where both races are depicted as vulgar stereotypes to be made fun of, and where the sex is orchestrated in the most demeaning way possible.
There are several girls with a "no interracial" policy who have made it clear to me that they'll shoot interracial scenes for my studio anytime. Zoe Voss is one of those girls. She just wants to make sure agents aren't booking her for scenes she doesn't feel good about being in. And yes, she has already done an interracial scene for me, with Mickey Mod.
That issue aside, there are many white performers who won't work with black men or women in ANY type of production. Part of this stems from the "conventional wisdom" perpetrated by white men in porn that "If you do interracial you'll never get signed to a contract" or "you'll lose fans" or "you'll stop getting work with the best companies." None of that is true, but many girls still buy into it, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
But of course some performers refuse to perform interracial strictly for personal reasons. "I'm just not attracted," they explain (suggesting that they're "always" attracted to their white costars -- highly unlikely!!!)
As with all racism, I think it's just a product of ignorance and fear. And I've seen it on both sides of the camera. For instance, many white girl/girl fans openly expressed a preference for white, girl next door types to be cast. As a result, for years you really didn't see any black women cast in g/g scenes. But early in my g/g career I started casting Nyomi Banxxx, Ms. Platinum and Sincere Lemmore in multiple scenes, and once the fans "got to know" these women, they were requesting them like crazy.
And it's the same thing with many white performers who "get to know" a black performer and suddenly say "I don't do interracial but I want to do a scene with (Mr. Marcus)" or whomever.
When you get to know someone you stop seeing their color as a defining characteristic. And that's what we should be working on in porn, on both sides of the camera.

That's very educational. Thanx. As far as the "not attracted" thing goes, I don't perceive in everyday life that there are white girls out there who find 100% of white guys more attractive than every 100% of black guys. But this is what is implied by the porn way of doing things and the label "IR". Growing up, I never believed that the reason Ron Jeremy could work with more starlets than Ray Victory was because he was "more attractive". White men are the first to admit that they don't find 100% of white girls more attractive than 100% of black girls so why expect a white girl to think that way? It became popular in the '80's for a white man to tell his white wife that he would leave her for Whitney Houston. And I'm sure that many a white girl would say to herself that whe would leave Ron Jeremy for Ray Victory. One of my favorite scenes in "Mad About You" was a scene where Helen Hunt was discussing some black movie star (it may have been Denzel Washington) with her girlfriend and she called him a "...beautiful black..." and then Paul Riser walked in on them and she finished the sentence "...dress."

Finally, a voice of reason from someone who actually knows what they're talking about.
Thank you Nica.
Can this thread be closed now? Especially since this discussion has nothing to do with what the thread was started for in the first place?
Also, can I just reference Nica's post from now on every time someone brings up racism (or the supposed lack thereof) in porn? Would anyone have a problem with that?

Yes.Yes.Yes.No. Better yet, make her post a sticky, in reference to ANY IR threads henceforth.

Thinking about this again, she categorizes the girls that have a no IR policy and it comes to mind that some girls may put themselves into a false category. It's possible that a girl may claim to be in the first category (i.e. disliking the degrading style of IR) when in fact she is in reality in a category with those who won't do it under any circumstances. Such a performer may simply be chosing to state the most palatable rationale. This is especially possible of a white starlet who does perform very degrading acts with men of races other than black. If a starlet performs a 15-man blindfold gangbang under the strict provision that none of the male performers is black, I would have difficulty buying a statement that she just doesn't like the way IR is filmed...

Being Nica one of the most esteemed persons in porn (by me at least) I'm taking her statements as evidence, anyway I was discussing economics and especially black performers rates , I had no doubt that racism exists in porn had no Idea of its extent until Nica posted here.
Nica didn't say anything about this , I don't want names or figures just the extent of this policy or guessed percentages.
As for Zoe Voss I already said that she did that scene with Mickey Mod for Nica after she decided not to perform IR anymore , it is not a matter or racism she simply didn't want to be trashed in a flick in words or manners. That with Mickey is one of my favorite scenes one of Zoe's best and one of the most passionate of hers , and she did plenty of them, all great , I actually find hard to believe she was just acting in that scene.
A matter has been discussed with Nica in a thread in Porn news section , about the labeling as IR a movie she said she won't do this anymore , in fact I noticed that she put plenty of IR scenes but very few of her movies are labeled or advertised as such , I know of only one of the Tales of Victorian Lust series (again GREAT scenes in there) .
In Cheater retreat # 1 and #2 for example there are couples with problems who went to a counselor (Nick Manning called a Guru) for marriages it happens that two of the couples are mixed one BM/WF (Sean Michaels and Darla Crane) and another WM/BF the third is Lez (Chastity Lynn and Magdalen St Michaels)
The mixed couples came into scenes naturally with no reference at all of their being IR couples nor the problem they have have to do with that , that of Sean/Darla is his infidelity , that of the other couple is her husband passing too much time with his best friend to the point she think he might be gay or so The lez couple has one of them who wants to know how it would be to have sex with a man (Chastity did a VERY GREAT performance with Sean here , one of the hottest ever seen , lot of chemistry between them , it's no surprise that her first anal other than her BF was with Sean)
A great movie under every aspect I mean both of them cause it's the same story
Aside my question with rates, I have no problem with closing this thread , I'm even surprised it survived for this long

Thank you Nica for making some of the hottest porn I've had the pleasure of viewing and I agree with you 100%. It is all about people "getting used to" performers to get rid of the taboos. I've noticed that Mr. Marcus and Lex have become the gateway into interracial guys for girls who haven't done interracial scenes. They are so well-known and respected that their skin color doesn't really matter. This only happened for them because studios over time used them so often. Exposure is only half the battle because you also have to change the way interracial is depicted. I think porn should slow down on the 'there's negro in my daughter-type porn' and black guys shouldn't be hired that insist on being gangstas and just downright annoying (those who have read my past posts know the top two offenders).

That's something we agree on, I did not think the thread would make it to page 2. The OP seemed like race baiting anyway, with an intentional mis-representation of the title "White Boy Stomp". The punk even boasts about his ability to stir things up in another post. Any valid part of the OP has been easily, objectively and thoroughly answered. It would be great if MODs could re-title threads.

agree 100 percent. I'm surprised your post wasn't deleted. I checked a few threads on here and saw how mods deleted and deactivated people that made posts asking pornstars why they don't do interracial. In the bibi jones thread a guy was deactivated for saying he thought she's hiding behind the preference thing.
I honestly don't know how it's as simple as it just being "preference" when you turn down EVERYONE from a race. It seems more racial than anything. I can understand if a majority from a race doesn't turn you on, but surely it can't be everyone from a race, especially when you don't even give people chances. Also, like you said, these stars aren't attracted to every white guy they get put with, also. I honestly don't care. These stars are just pieces of pussy and ass and who they choose to fuck or not fuck is not of big importance. It's just funny to see how hypocritical and BS they are.

Posts that get deleted are trolling or fighting posts. There is absolutely nothing wrong with her post that I can see. She gave her perspective from inside the industry which is definitely allowed here.

Nica is well known so she can speak the truth about racism in the industry.
