What are some memorable "spoiled princess" scenes?
Let me explain. In most lesbian scenes, there seems to be an unspoken code of reciprocity. However, occasionally there are scenes, intentional or not, end up being with one woman doing most of the "work" just pleasuring the other, with relatively little action returned the other way.
Some of these are intentional. Like pretty much the whole straplez.com website. There are a few scenes where one woman will start with the strapless dildo, then mid scene they would switch. Love Justified 2, the one that just released. Very good pace, setting and direction. But yeah, when I say "directing two women as male/female" I basically mean too much focus on penetration/domination and not enough sensuality, open-ness and focus on body language. I feel like the Frolicme scene focuses on body language, and that makes the scene standout among its peers.

I haven't watched "Love Justified" yet so can't say, but don't you think straplez in general emphasizes penetration and quasi-domination? I still don't quite understand what you mean by open-ness. By "focus on body language," do you mean fewer or no spoken lines? Have you watched content from Sex Art? There's a thread for their stuff here, where I posted a lot of reviews for some of their best scenes (at least in my opinion). They certainly, at least it seems to me, emphasize sensuality. Their scenes also typically have no spoken lines. Instead, they are more about atmospherics (for a lack of better word), and if there are stories, they are typically acted out using facial expressions and gestures.
Yes, as little dialogue as possible help, but body language in particular helps me determine whether or not participants in the scene are actually stimulated/aroused vs giving off a particular impression for the cameras. Lesbian sex in porn is just so un-sexy, cause the women just aren't into each other. The sub in most lesbian scenes is either lifeless, or trying too hard to control where the scenes goes/not get into it, giving off an uncomfortable/over-vigilant vibe.
Hard to find scenes with overtly feminine, gay women in porn, and Frolicme has a good number of scenes like that. Too many scenes where the sub refuses to really give themselves to a woman, they give as many signals as possible to let the audience know "I'm not really gay". As for Straplez, that's a specific kink site that throws away alot of the porn rulebook.
I think there are plenty of scenes that seem to match what you like. Just as an example, again I point to the Sex Art examples. Also, as far as I can see, most scenes don't have the dom vs sub dynamic. Instead, they very much adhere to reciprocity. In fact, in most scenes, you can time them, and the two partners nearly always spend the same amount of time pleasuring and being pleasured. Dirty talk, if it exists at all, rarely contains reference to dom/sub dynamic. Anyway, I certainly do agree with you about how Straplez throwing away the "rulebook." I may give StrapLez a month trial run. Basically there was an academic research article that came out about a decade ago (so this was old data, before onlyfans exploding, before pornhub going legit, before covid, before inflation), which was written by a researcher who talked to a lot of industry insiders.
1. Mainstream productions on average paid $800-$1,000 per scene for women (this was probably for straight scenes, given the separate discussion for g/g scenes later).
2. However, there's considerable variation depending on the type of scene. The article said standard for anal scene was $1,200. But it also cited Ana Foxxx who said for her first anal scenes, which was two scenes in the same movie, she was paid $5,000.
3. According to the performers interviewed by the researcher, Girlfriends Films at the time paid $800 per scene, which was said to be more than most girl-girl studios. So we can guess the standard rate for such scenes was somewhat lower, though it's not clear how much lower.
4. The exact quote from Dan O'Connell, the owner of GFF at the time, upon being asked about the better pay, was this, "Oh yeah, we pay $800, and most of the other companies are nickel and diming the girls. We also pay everybody the day that they shoot."
- Not sure what he meant by nickel and diming? Docking pay for being late? Having unruly hair? Not performing a sex act for sufficient duration? - Note the prompt, same day payment was not necessarily standard practice. So next time you see some pre- or even post-scene interview, and the women say how amazing/great it all was, keep in mind they probably haven't been paid yet.
5. Feminist and queer porn studios on average paid $200-$400 per scene. They typically don't vary pay based on type of scene.
