^I think it's true. The story is quite old since it was first reported in September but no one wanted to publicly confirm it. Of course technically no one has officially done so but I think it's just a question of time. We are talking about a huge deal since the number being talked about is 50 millions for DP. There's also talk that Manwin/Brazzer is interested in buying Vivid as well.

Yes, but they are contract stars so if it's not in their contract then there is no real incentive to do it. I don't think there going to be a lot of changes if any for the next few months to a year. Maybe DP will stop offering contracts in the futur but they are one of the few studios still making money these days and that's with contract stars. I guess the old expression if it ain't broke then don't fix it should apply.

Mostly based on the Manwin/DP coordination on their .xxx lawsuit, I'm going to assume that it's true, and that it has been for awhile, but that non-disclosure agreements are keeping it quiet. And I really doubt if there will be any changes from the consumer, or performer, side -- Manwin bought Twisty's earlier this year, and there haven't been any changes. Hell, they bought all the web-studios and we haven't seen a change yet. Of the three majors, I feel DP's the only one with real value: Wicked's ridden the parody train about as far as it can go - I feel it's brought in sales while weakening the studio, hell if Manwin wanted Wicked's business they could hire the directors for a lot less than the company ala what they did to Jules Jordan - and Vivid seems to have given up releasing anything other than press releases ever since they got that hotel contract.
Manwin needs content, and DP seems to have the most valuable content going forward. I'd assume their back catalog is worth more, as well. A conspiracy-minded person could think that Manwin devalued porn companies with their tube sites, bought the best platforms for fractions on the dollar, and now - with the specter of SOPA overhead - will shut down their tubes and try to restore value to their platforms. They may have devalued the industry by 50%, but what remains is pretty much theirs. But, again, you'd have to like conspiracies to believe that.
I'd be surprised if there are changes for the contract girls. The reason DP has a back catalog is they've created brands for their performers. Getting rid of them makes the catalog worthless. And DP's continued profitability suggests that their strategy works. I would think that their profile would be raised within the industry, though.

I giggled a little seeing that Bibi picture with Jesse Jane . Somebody did some major peace making between those two.
