But I see your point, there was a story to be told and the writer did it, but doing so he failed completely to explain both positions so that the reader could not form an opinion or at least have a clue of what was going on. FSC argued for years that the existing regulations were meant for hospitals. Condoms were already required by Cal/OSHA even before 5193.1. The recent ruling just means the adult industry won't be getting their own section in the bloodborne pathogens regulations for now. [Link] |

Not on social media, which may reach a few hundred thousand people online but only a few thousand that live in California, and, arguably, not even on national news. They need to be on the radio during the morning or afternoon rush hours. They need to be in the newspapers (and not in the op-ed section of the LA Times or whatever the main paper in San Francisco is, but as advertisements in the news (and maybe even the sports) section of the newspaper). They need to be on local news broadcasts and morning shows. They need to be on billboards. They need to be proactive and in person, and I can tell right now that they aren't planning on doing that. All of the contributions have come from the AHF. FSC didn't announce the Californians Against Worker Harassment PAC until late April of this year. Since the meeting in February, both the Free Speech Coalition and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the longtime proponent of a number of proposals to further regulate porn production, have filed two petitions with the state relative to address the safety and health of workers in the adult film industry. It called on the AHF to immediately withdraw its rebuttal "and stop trying to mislead voters." The claims are relative to a "rebuttal to opposition's argument" statement sent to the California Secretary of State's office for inclusion in the state voter pamphlet. The text of the rebuttal specifically states that the fledgling IEAU, known as the International Entertainment Adult Union, which formally became a federally recognized union in December, supports Prop 60.
